"Eustace got turned into a what?!"

Edmund snorted at Peter's reaction, and couldn't help but laugh at his wide eyes. "Eustace got turned into a dragon." He repeated.

Peter blinked at his brother, before taking a deep breath, trying to keep the grin from his face. "I bet that was - interesting." He murmured.

Edmund smiled. "It was funny at first, slightly scary, but still funny," He admitted. "It did change him though, he's a completely different boy now."

Peter actually smiled a little at this. "That's nice to hear." He said with a small nod. "He really was a beast."

Edmund nodded slowly. "So was I." He mumbled, and at Peter's shocked look he smiled. "Me and him had a talk, he felt so bad about the way he'd been acting, so I told him that he was only an ass, I was a traitor."

"Ed..." Peter mumbled.

"No, it's okay." Edmund cut him off. "It made him feel better, and I was happy to talk about it with him. I didn't go into detail at all, but it helped him feel better about himself."

Peter stared at Edmund for a moment, before nodding and leaning back against the headboard of his bed.

The two sat in silence for a while, before Peter sat up again. "A dragon?" He breathed, still shocked.

Edmund only laughed.
