THIRD PERSON POV
Ramdam ng lahat ang tensyon na bumabalot sa buonv training room. Lahat ay nakabunit na ng kanilang makakalaban at kung pang-ilan sila sa labanan. At hindi lang din tensyon ang ramdam ng lahat, kundi awkwardness, imbes kasi na umupo si Travor kasama ng kanyang kapwa expectator pinili nito na makatabi si Amie kasama si Derrick.
Masayang nag-uusap ang tatlo at hindi na nila napapansin ang mga tinging pinupukol sa kanila. Naipakilala na din ni Amie ang dalawa sa isa't isa at mabilis naman ailanv nagkasundo.
"Bantayan mo si Amie dito ha. Alam mo naman with the face she has, many predator will come and devour this beauty." biro ni Trev.
"Don't worry Cap, this lady here is somewhat stone hearted. I even confess that I like her but she just laugh at it saying that she only see me as her brother. Do you know how my heart breaks that time. Ansakit!" pag-aarte naman ni Derrick na nakahawak pa sa kanyang dib dib na kunwaring nasasaktan. Two weeks when the shool started and they know each other he confess his feeling to her.
Flashback : 2 Weeks Ago
It is sunday and Amie decided to stroll around the Academy on her way towards the cafeteria nakasalubong niya si Derrick. Sa nagdaan na dalang linggo after nila magkakilala, Derrick always stick with when he had the chance, just like this time.
"Oh, ang aga pa for lunch. You're eating already?" tanong ng lalaki kay Amie.
"No, bibili lang ako ng snacks while I walk around the Academy." sagot naman ni Amie.
"Can I come?" tanong ulit ni Derrick, Amie look at her suspiciously at nakataas pa ang isang kilay niya rito. "Ahm, its Sunday. Wala akong ginagawa sa dorm. Kaya naisip ko nalang na samahan ka." paliwanag nito at hindi makatingin ng diretso sa kanya. Dagdag mo pa ang pagkamot nitk ng batok at pamumula ng tenga. "So can I?" hoping na tanong nito.
Amie just nodded dahil mukhang mapilit din naman ang lalaki. Bumili muna sila ng snacks at pinadala niya itong lahat kay Derrick. So they stroll around abd they stop when they reasch in the lagoon, stanley summon a blanket using the spell they learn from Stella. And he put all the snacks there.
"Ahm, you know. We've known each othee by the name for two weeks. May I know who exactly you are? where you came from?" panimula ni Derrick. Naoatingin naman sa kanya si Amie. "I just wanted to know you more." awkward na sabi nito.
"I'm Amelia Celine Denovan Le Rougue, dito ako pinanganak but I was transfered somewhere to train after my parents died due to assassination." umpisa ni Amie. Hindi niya alam kung bakit, pero may nag-uudyok sa kanya na ikwento ang lahat kay Derrick. "For 12 years, all I did was training until I mastered my Gift. Bumalik ako dito sa Samiya 3 years ago para hanapin ang mga responsable sa pagkamatay ng magulang ko, when I found them. I did total annihilation both in assasin group at kung sino ang nagutos sa kanila. If you heard about the Cristoval Clan and Assasin Guild found dead on their compound and guildhouse, ako ang gumawa nun. Makukulong sana ako nun but my Uncle Greg told me that Cristovals was scheduled to be executed because of their crime, Human Slavery, Corruption which is punishable by death on our Custom. Kaya I was just questioned why I did that. Ng ilapag namin ni Uncle Greg ang ibedensya, they let me go. And to add up, I'm still a minor that time kaya hindi rin nila ako makulong. I'm turning 20 this year, by the way." pagkukwento niya dito bahala na kung matakot ito sa kanya pero ganun nalang ang gulat niya ng mapatingin siya dito ag nakitang nakangiti ito ng malawak sa kanya.
"That story made me think more how strong and brave you are. You did nothing wrong remember that. For the last 2 weeks I'm beside I can't help but to fall for your braveness." he said while giving her a gentle smile and gentle touch on her skin na hindi niya namamalayan. "I like you Amelia, will you allow me to let this feeling deeper, fall for you more and catch me?" Brave that's what Amie described Derrick in front of her but of course our naive protagonist just laugh her *ss off on Derrick's confession.
The latter did not expect this ladg infront of him laughing because of what he confessed he felt nothing but happiness dahil napatawa niya ang babae, but he felt a little embarrassment though.
Hinyaan niya lang ang babaeng tumawa hanggang sa mag-seryoso na ito.
"I didn't know that my charm will work on you in just a short period of time. I don't want to make you hopeful na masuklian ko ang pagka-gusto mo sa akin. I only see you as my little brother, you're 19, right. Marami ka pang makikilala, it's just a simple infatuation mawawala din yan pag naglaon. I will not say sorry dahil hindi ko kasalanan na mahulog ka sa akin. You have to overcome that feelings para hindi na lumalim. Your choice to befriend me or not. Come back to me as a friend and a brother when you made up your mind. Thank you for appreciation." Nginitian niya muna ito niyakap ng mahigpit bagk sita tuluyang tumayo at maglakad paalis.
Derrick only follewed her retreating back until she cant see her. He sigh, 'This is his first heart break, bakit kasi ambilis kong mahulog.' pipi niyang kastigo sa sarili bago humnga ulit ng malalim. He stand up and unsummon the blanket take their trashes.
Three days ang lumipas before Derrick finally made up his mind that he will stay beside Amie until the latter ask him to get lost. He decided that he will be her protector from now on.
End of Flashback
After ikwento ni Derrick ang nangyari, natawa nalang din si Trevor kaya napasimangot naman si Amie. Hindi nila namalayan ma isang pares nalang at si Amie na ang susunod na makikipag laban.
Habang nagsasaya ang tatlo, a certain group of women felt insulted. Ginawa nila itong set up na ito para ipakita sa lahat na kaya nilang takutin si Amie just their presence, pero sa nakikita nila na parang wala lang sa huli na isang Kapitan ang makakalaban nito at nagawa pang makipag-kwentuhan, pakiramdam nila ay iniinsulto sila nito. (A/N: Typical pea brain people, joke hahaha)

HIS POV
I AM PISSED OFF! This is almost written on my face as I stared to three that happily talking with each other. I cool down my face because anytime I might burst out due to anger.
I excused myself to Prof. Clinton to go to comfort room to wash my face. I stayed there for 20 minuted until I decided to comeback.
To my surprise, everything is in chaos there Medic is recuing someone on the combat ring. The Training room was in total chaos already when I arrived.
"What happened here?" I ask Regals to get some answer on what's happening cause I'm completely clueless. But it seems that everyone was dumbfounded as well on what happened. So I tap Altair's shoulder to ask the same question again.
"Captain Jessica almost lost her life today." that's what he said. My eyes look on the medic and saw Captain Lancaster being rushed towards Medic Mobile. I look around to look for the other woman onky to find her looking at the exiting mobile while her hands folded on her chest.
Whe she felt someone looking at her she glanced at my direction, too late for me to realize. So we stared at each other, before I let go. She even gives me her smirk, indicating she won again against me.
'This woman!' I irritatedly castigated myself before leaving the training room.
