(Start in the commentary booth. FRYE and BIG MAN are sitting in their chairs. FRYE is on her phone.)
Big Man-You any responses got?
Frye-Yeah. Two hundred and forty of 'em.
Big Man-But I one person only stung!
Frye-Exactly. Most of these people either got stung by a different Mantar or just want to talk to us.
Big Man-What we do?
Frye-Easy. We just look through all these responses and decide which ones are real and which ones are fake.
(She holds her phone out so BIG MAN can see it.)
Frye-"Hey. I was stung before." Kind of paltry with the information. They probably want us to respond and ask for more. Fake.
(She scrolls down.)
Frye-"Hi, Frye. I'm the guy who got stung by a Mantar. My address is--" wow, they didn't even hide that they just want to meet. Fake.
(She scrolls down again.)
Frye-"Hi. My name is Monii Ane. I was stung by a Mantar when I was 10, and I've been trying to make meaning of my experience for the past three years, mostly through music. Hopefully, talking to the one who started it all will help me learn about myself. When would you like to meet?" Eh, they mentioned music. They probably just want to show us their demos. FAKE!
(She scrolls down again.)
Producer-The next battle starts in three, two...
Frye-Oh!
(She and BIG MAN scoot up to the desk. Opening theme. Cut to Eeltail Alley. BIG MAN and FRYE are commentating.)
Frye-Our, um, next battle takes place.
Big Man-(booth) Eeltail Alley in?
Frye-(booth) Yes, in Eeltail Alley.
Big Man-(booth) Team colors chartreuse and purple are.
(BRIDGETT and INKURA are chartreuse. BRIDGETT has the Dualie Squelchers. HIRO, SHUMI, and SPIDER are purple.)
Big Man-(booth) And it Splat Zones is?
Frye-(booth) Yes, it's a Splat Zones.
Big Man-Ready...
Frye/Big Man-Go!
(The players launch onto the arena. BRIDGETT fires to the left and jumps off the first ledge.)
Frye-Gee, it's so hard to get up and at 'em in the morning, you know?
(BRIDGETT swims to the right. She tries firing on the glass walkway, but it's uninkable. She shrugs and runs across instead. Once she's across, she swims up to the center without jumping down and starts firing on the zone.)
Frye-Today on Splat Zones: Will Bridgett gain control by firing on this one corner?
(BRIDGETT's special finishes charging. She swims into the center.)
Big Man-Purple that aggressive hasn't been, so maybe they could.
(BRIDGETT gets splatted by SHUMI.)
Big Man-Green control has.
(BRIDGETT respawns and launches onto the arena. She jumps over SHUMI's Killer Wail. She swims forward, firing as she goes.)
Frye-And green lost control.
(BRIDGETT just keeps swimming forward. She fires on the zone. She gets hit by ink from a purple Slosher.)
