CHAPTER 42: I Am So Stupid

Carl could already hear the sound of guitar and drums in Nathan's condo.  He smiled and quickly pressed the password he sent to him. They haven't been complete for a long time. He could never forget his twenty first birthday where they all went to Michigan just to celebrate. It was a surprised birthday party that planned by Nathan, Gian and Drake. It was really one of those friendships he would never exchange for anything in the world. Who said only women are emotional and fond of sleep overs. They were old, but one thing had not changed in them. Being clingy to each other.

Hunter is jumping while singing Siakol's Tropa. Drake is enjoying his drums. Gian and Kyle is banging their head while playing their guitars.

"I love you bro! Happy birthday! More chix to come! Cheers!" Kahit lasing na lasing na si Hunter, nagawa pa din niyang matapos ang kanta.

"Cheers!" Hindi baso ang binigay ni Liam kay Carl, kundi isang buong bote. Bumuntong hininga muna siya bago niya nilagok iyon. Parusa niya iyon dahil late siya.

"Nagchix lang saglit." Mabilis na putol ni Carl kay Miguel. He is eyeing for the swollen part of his lips.

"She's too wild bro! How did she fucking kiss you? Ang brutal naman ng chix mo. Is she a member of female domination?" Miguel pointed at Carl's lips.

Ininom na lang ni Carl ang buong bote ng alak. Wala siyang panahon para magpaliwanag. Gusto din niyang bawian si Drew kanina. Pero alam niyang maiinis lang si Kara sa kanya kapag ginawa niya iyon. He have to be on the positive side para makuha niya ang dalaga. Nilapitan niya si Nathan at niyakap.

"Happy birthday bro! Ano na? You will really do your residency in the military hospital? Don't tell me, talagang-"

"I will, gusto ko ng thrill. I would really want to be a reserve officer. Hayaan mo na ako, I'm still finding myself. Sawa na ako sa monotonous kung buhay. Para maiba naman."

"Walang chix dun, can you survive?"

"Sinong nagsabing walang chix dun? Marami bro! Huwag ka mag-alala, kapag na-bored ako, I will apply to AMC sooner or later. Sabi ni Gian...madami daw magagandang nurses doon. I want to see it myself."

"Well, kasali ata yun sa qualification ni daddy. Pabaligtad si daddy, nagmana sa akin. Mahilig sa mga chix."

Nathan and Carl were having their little chats while Hunter, Kyle, Gian and Drake were playing their instruments. They missed this kind of bonding. Liquor, simple chats and music.

Nag-uusap at nagku-kwentuhan ang lahat maliban kay Drake at Zach. Halata ang tensyon sa kanilang dalawa. Magkatabi sila pero ni hindi man lang nila nililingon ang isa't-isa. Nahalata agad iyon ni Carl kaya tumayo siya.

"Chill bro, hayaan mo lang sila. They will talk about it kapag medyo tipsy na sila. Usapang babae." Pigil sa kanya ni Jace.

"Nag-away sila? Dahil sa babae? Si Drake, makikipag-away ng dahil lang sa babae? He would never argue with-"

"It's Dana, Zach is dating her. Well, fucking her? I don't know the real score. Basta ang alam ko, it's a Nevada thing. What happens in Nevada, stays in Nevada. Pero, it didn't happen. Diba, we have rules? Don't date your friend's sister?" Paliwanag ni Jace kay Carl.

"Zach is not just fucking her, he wanted to date Dana for real." Dylan butted in.

"Fuck that rules! Hindi ba pwedeng magbago ang tao? Tsaka, ayaw ba niya yun? Mas mababantayan niya ang boyfriend ng kapatid niya. Ewan ko ba kay Drake, parang-"
