Joan POV
Alpha Khan just told us, "we have a wolf pack heading this way. The lookout does not know who they are, but they are a pack. Now we wait and see if they are allies or not. I want you to stay back here until we know for sure." He then turned and walked away.
"What an egocentric ass. Why can't we be up there with him? This is my quest and not his."
Gio growled at me, "sis he is our king. You should stop questioning him. But to answer your question he is only having a few royals wolfs to meet them because if enemy he doesn't want them to know his numbers."
I turn and standing behind a tree I then look down. I see Khan standing as he watches the wolf pack running. When they feel him they slow down and look around. I see who is obviously an alpha bow down. Then all the other wolves I see also bow. Khan calls out, "stand." You see the wolves come up and look toward the king. "Alpha who are you and what pack are you from? Why is a large group of you wolves in this area?"
"Your majesty. I have met your father, but not you. My mate went into labor and I missed your coronation. I am Alpha Shane Stock of the Cedar Grove Pack." Just them I went out from behind the tree and started walked down toward the king. Shane all the sudden growled, "Joan, why the hell are you up there! Your suppose to be in the back with the squad."
Joan hearing her name yelled moved to the front thinking Alpha Shane wanted her there. Just as she gets to the tree line and starts walking out she see a wolf standing on a ridge who is emitting a lot of power. He quickly whips around and sees me waking down toward him and shouts, "what the hell are you doing coming down here? I told you Jean to stay up there out of sight."
I look up and see who is yelling at. I gasp. I disappear from where I am standing and end up right beside her. She quickly turns toward me and she also gasp. Then at the same time we both say, "which sister are you?" Then we both call out, "I'm Jean" "I'm Joan"
Then Giovanni comes running down the hill toward them. He scoops Joan into his arms. He hugs her tight and sniffs her. He yells out, "MATE."
