In Search of the Truth (complete)

Chapter 32

Once our handprints seem to just absorb into the rock, Luna Shiela and Alpha Shane guided me to a clump of trees. She said, "I am going to go help you into that robe you saw earlier. Then I will undress and turn into my wolf. We will now be able to link since you are now part of the pack. I will guide you out. All of us wolves will curl up around. The witches and fairies who are here will be able to sit on the outer circle to watch. Alpha Shane will command you to shift and hopefully your wolf won't fight it. He and I will both be right beside you along with the Elder Silva. If you start to fight you will have the of us commanding you and it will hurt worse. I would rather not have to do that, but I know this is for your best interest."

She then leaned down and hugged me. She held me for several minutes and then helped undress me and wrapped the robe around me. She quickly undressed and I looked away. She transformed into silver-grey wolf and linked, "Let's go." I put my hand on her main and walked out with her. She led me to the center of the meadow. She laid down. I sat beside her. I saw the alpha come out from behind a tree. He also was wearing a robe and walked toward me. Then more and more wolves walked out. I saw elders and pups standing by the rock with Grammy, witches and fairies. Soon I was circled by all. The alpha took my hands in his and said, "now is the time to shift. I will command you to shift once. Then if you don't it will be the elder. The third time will be Luna joining in. The fourth will be the pack. Then the fifth will the others. It will be like a forceful command chant. We will keep chanting it until you start shifting. We will then get quiet and the Luna will then guide you. If she needs help myself and Elder will step in.  The pack when they feel the urge will offer words of encouragement because we are all here to assist you."

I nodded and the alpha added, when you start to shift I will shift and lay beside you to encourage you. My lovely mate will be on the other side encouraging you. Plus the pack, family and friends."

"You mentioned you feel my strength. What if I come out feral and try to hurt someone? I don't want to but you mentioned that could happen."

He smiled and said, "Your Grammy and the others will wrap you up in a shield. It will hold you until you are no longer a threat. Your Grammy thought of that because she said she knew you would worry."

I look at Grammy and smile. Then I sit down and wrap my arms around Luna Shiela. She nuzzles me with her about. I take a deep breath and exhale slowly. I nod my head at Alpha Shane. "I am ready."

I watch his eyes turn black and he commands me to shift. I shutter but nothing else. Soon others join in. I hear the chant, "Shift, shift, shift..."

I start to shake and hear a rougher version of my voice say "no, I'm not 18."

Alpha Shane, "I don't care. You need to shift now. I care to much to have you be feral and force any pack to kill you."

"Grrrrrrr. They can't I won't let them."

Luna replies, "if your feral they will have no choice. Please shift. I know we can be great friends. I know force shifts can be scared, but my mate and I are here to help you."

I growl again. The alpha growls back. I am starting to get upset with him and I growl even louder. The ground shakes. All the sudden Luna Shiela gets angry. "Dammit Rieka shift NOW. Don't fucking growl at my mate."

All the sudden I hear a loud pop. The alpha shifts and lays beside me. I scream when the pop happens again. This continued for about 3-1/2 hours. I stood up and many gasped were done. I looked down and saw one paw was glowing blue and one was glowing red.  I looked around confused.

I heard Luna Shiela say, "calm down Rieka. Your family and friends are here." I turned my head toward her and she bowed her head toward me.

I replied, "you are my friend. You don't need to bow." I looked at the alpha, "why am I glowing?"

He looked me in the eyes and for several minutes it was a battle of wills. I looked at him, "you are my friends mate and considered my alpha. I can feel I am stronger than you, but you will be my teacher. Just as I show respect to my family and teachers I will show you respect."

I lower my eyes to him.  I start to bow out of respect and he says, "no. You are right. I feel you have more power. Lowering your eyes  is enough. As for your glow you have now stopped and are now half black and white wolf. I think the glow is your witch half. That could be why your name is Rieka Zwei. But tomorrow we will have elders check. We will do no training tomorrow. Will let you rest the , but next day be prepared to work."

The Luna says, "you both did good. Now let's go on a pack run and hunt. Rieka we will let you lead this run. The pack separates. I took a few tentative steps toward the trees followed by the alpha and Luna. Then the rest of the pack. Soon we were running hard through the trees. We ran for a little over an hour before Alpha Shane started guiding back to the meadow.

When we got back he helped me transform back. "I want you to think of your human body. As I start to return to my human self I see Grammy place a robe over me. She shoes all the males back to the forest except the alpha.

Once I am back to my human appearance the alpha stands and walks toward the woods. Luna and Grammy helps me get my robe on. I call out, "Alpha Shane?" He turns around still in his wolf form and looks at me. I run up to him and wrap my arms around his neck. "Thank you."

Then I turn to head back to Grammy when I hear a reply, "your welcome."
