In Search of the Truth (complete)

Chapter 20

When school got out we went to Breena's and we transported to the lake cabin.

We walked in the door and the first thing we did was light a fire. Since the place hadn't been used lately we cleaned it. We looked at the bedrooms. They had one room with 4 bunk beds (8 beds total) and the other two rooms had a couple queen size beds in them.  We decided to use the bunk bed room. The four of us could all have our own bed and still be together.

We then made our dinner. Which was just spaghetti and sauce. It was delicious.  We went to the cupboard and pulled out some games. We played Uno, Pictionary,  Jenga and  Twister. We started to get tired so we banked the fire. Then climbed into bed.

We had been in bed for about an hour when we heard the door slam open. Then a few curse words.

We all jumped out of bed. We hid behind the door and when the door was opened and 2 figures walked in we attacked. All the sudden the lights came on. I had hit Flodium and he had a black eye and bloody nose. Tyson and Aliya had pinned down Leona. When Glenora turned on the light and before Breena realized who it was she had hit and knocked out Glenora.

"What are you doing here scarring us this late at night?"

Flodium replied, "Looking for you." He looked at Breena and said, "your mom called over to Aliya's house to say goodnight. Imagine her surprise to hear that Aliya was suppose to be camping with Breena. She then called each of your parents. Well Tylen's parents was with the Queen and King. It was decided by the Queen to send us after you. You all are getting extra training and  100 hours of community service for this stunt. The three of us are in charge of your training. Then your week of spring break which is in two weeks you will report to the Queen for your community duty. You guys better get back to bed. I will be getting you up at 5:30 because at 6:00 we start your training."

Leona said, "I have sent messages to your parents plus the king and queen that you are here." She then muttered some words and everyone's wounds disappeared. Then they all got ready and climbed into the other bunk beds.

5:30 a whistle blew, "get up. You have 30 minutes to get dressed and eat breakfast. Leona's got breakfast going."

I made the mistake of saying, "it's too early to get up. The sun's not even up.

Glenora said, "get out of bed before I get to 10 or you will wish you had." She counted to 10 and all four of us got ice water dumped on us.

We all jumped out of bed them. We glared at them and they were smirking." We then got dressed. Then went to the kitchen. We had oatmeal and honey tea.

Flodium right at 6:00 yelled come on you I lazy bums. Follow me." We went outside the cabin and he hiked us 20 miles up and down the mountain trails. With us doing jumping Jack, squats, pushups, sit-ups, army crawls, etc along the way.

Then Glenora showed up and had us following her in flight. She pushed the speed and had us go up high, swoop under low branches, between trees, etc. When any of us moaned she added an extra mile. When we realized what she was doing we got quiet. We ended up going 32 miles.

When we go back we were physically tired, but Leona lined us up. She was throwing various elements at us. We had to stop 5 in a row before she would stop. It took us about 2 hours before we all were able to stop them. We accidentally figured out that if we worked and combine our powers we could stop them.

It was 8pm when we finished and we were falling asleep during supper. Then they made us clean up after the meal. We then went to climb into bed but had to use the air element to dry our mattresses before we could climb into bed.

We had to do that sort of stuff all weekend. When we got home on Monday we found out that Tuesday-Friday from 5:30-7:30 we were to go to the training room. Then get ready for school. Then after school back to training room. Then Saturday and Sunday we reported to the training room for all day training. Then when spring break hit we had to report to the queen at 9:00am on Monday. She sent us out into the woods and had us walk the trails. We had to pick up all the trash the humans dropped. She had us plant new trees where a fire had burnt down trees. She decided she wanted a snow ice cream party for the kingdom. She sent us to gather many buckets of snow. Plus we had to make and decorate the party room for it. We ended up doing 50 hours of work that week plus the extra training.

Let me just say we never did that truck again. We had to do that extra training until summer vacation started. Then we ended up at fairy summer camp where they had us in charge of the younger Fae. The queen called us into her office at the end of July. We were told we were released. Though our parents did not let us do anything with our friends during that time.
