Despair Disease

Everyone was in the cafeteria eating breakfast, well, almost everyone. Kokichi hadn't shown up yet, he's twenty minutes late.

"Has anyone seen Kokichi?" Miu asked, everyone was silent. Just in that moment the doors opened. Behind them was the one and only Kokichi. Except he didn't look like his normal happy and annoying self.

His skin was pale. His hair was in every direction possible, and he was wobbling and tripping over nothing as he walked. He didn't even look like he was trying to be happy, he just looked in pain. He sat down beside Miu and Kaede, closing his eyes.

"Hey, are you okay?" Kaito asked, Kokichi shook his head, "No, I feel sick... And... Weak
...and cold" he said in a shaky and horse . Everyone seemed shocked by this.

Monokuma popped up, "Hey brats! I gave Kokichi here a little something called Despair Disease! He has the truth disease! " Everyone got out of there seats except Kokichi and Miu who had him rapped around her.

"What the hell?!" Someone said.

"We might hate him but that's too far!" Says another.

Everyone kept yelling at Monokuma. Kokichi squeezed his eyes shut and covered his ears. He felt like crying but tried to hold it in. Miu shook I'm gently, catching his attention.

"Hey, I'll take you to your room okay?" He nodded and stood up, trying to keep his balance by holding his arms out.

Miu held him by the waist and slowly walked him out of the room. Once at his dorm Miu sat him on his bed and took his suit shirt off.

"W-what're you doing?" He said slightly worried, it is Miu after all. She laughed, "Not what you think I'm doing, I'm just putting you in more comfortable clothes! " She exclaimed, Kokichi sighed in relief.

After Miu had changed his clothing she made him lay down and had a damp rag on his forehead.

"Why does everything hurt? Why can't I lie?" He asked, "It's the disease you have right now, Monokuma gave it to you." Miu replied putting blanket on him. Kokichi slightly nodded before closing his eyes. He fell asleep.

Miu was walking around straightening some things up when she heard a knock on the door.

"Hey, it's Kaito." She opens the door and looks him up and down. He didn't seem to have any weapons on him so she let him in. He looks at the sleeping boy with concerned eyes than back at Miu.

"Okay, why're you here?" She snapped, Kaito sighed. When Kokichi is sick he's vulnerable, when he's vulnerable Miu becomes really protective of him.

"Monokuma explained that Kokichi wouldn't get better until a murder happens. " Miu sighed and massaged her temples, " If he gets worse than I'm gonna get executed. " She said.

" N-no don't kill a-anyone for me p-please... " Kokichi said, he'd woken up in between the conversation due to the fact that he's a light sleeper and pain.

Miu looked at him and smiled, "I won't kill anyone I'm just pissed" she said with a sigh. Kokichi slowly got up and weakly held her hand.

" Huh? Whatcha need?" She asked, "water" he said pointing to his throat. Miu nodded and ran went into the kitchen.

Kokichi looked at Kaito with a worried expression on his face, "What?" He asked Kokichi quickly looked away " S-sorry... " He said. Kaito scoffed and sat next to him.

"Hey, don't worry I won't hurt you, Miu would kill me" He laughed nervously thinking of what would happen, Kokichi smiled.

They were only talking for a few moments when Miu came back, "Okay, here" she said giving him the cup. He shakily brought it to his mouth and drank it.

" Thanks" He said putting the cup on the night stand and laid back down. Kaito left the two alone.

Just as Kokichi was starting to drift off again the door slammed open, "Kokichi since you can't lie we're going to question you!" Maki yelled making him cover his ears, "Don't be so loud" Miu said glaring. Maki rolled her eyes and pulled Kokichi out of bed.

"O-ow!" he said and Maki dragged him to the others. He was put in a chair and everyone crowding him. He looked scared.

"Hey, stop!" Miu yelled. Kaito held her by the wrists to keep her from reaching him.

"Why the hell do you lie?" Maki asked, "Because I b-believe you'll think I-I'm weak... " He said as he started to sweat.

Maki started interrogating him farther. Kokichi started to cry from the pressure. Miu noticed this fast and stomped on Kaito's foot making him let her go.

She ran towards the others and pushed her way to Kokichi who looked like he was on the verge of a breakdown.

She picked him up and started walking back to his dorm. He was shaking from the cold and held on to Miu tightly trying to feel her warmth.

Miu sat him down on the bed and he snuggled into the blankets.

"Damn, these people are so fucking rude." Miu said and she shut the door, making sure to lock it this time. She grabbed the rag and damped it, putting it on Kokichi's head. He fell asleep after.

Kokichi woke up feeling better, he was happy about it than his eyes widened. He looked around for Miu and saw her asleep against the wall. He sighed in relief and got up, he opened his door and looked around.

"Damn it someone's dead" He said, " Nope! No one's dead" a voice said behind him. He quickly turned around and looked down to see Monokuma.

"Kaito forgot to tell you two that it only lasted for 24 hours and that if someone died in those 24 hours you'd be fine at that moment" Kokichi sighed in relief, " Okay, good to know" Monokuma smiled and walked away.

Cool I gained motivation to make this. 993 words without bold.
