Williams POV
She pulled back String attached to the Bowen arrow with such grace that I caught myself staring, her long dark hair flowing as the wind pushed it over her slender shoulders with elegances. She took a deep breath before releasing her arrow. It landed dead center next to mine, she smiled with victory then glanced at me still wearing that smile.
"Looks like you meet your match 'Prince William' " she emphasize my name in a higher tone of voice which earned her a annoyed glare as I narrowed my eyes at her, to my surprise she stuck her tongue out at me in the most unladylike way then preceded to walk to the target. I shortly followed and pulled my arrow out with a hard tug as did she. We walked back to the shooting spot in silence then I began to aim before she interrupted me.
"So how does it come to be that a handsome prince such as yourself isn't married yet? I find it very strange to think your father would of waited this long before looking for a wife for his 'beloved son' " she again emphasize the last part and I rolled my eyes in annoyance, I lowed my bow and faced her as something she said crossed my mind.
"Handsome huh?" I asked cockily.
Her eyes widened as she blushed embarrassed, soon she got ahold of her shock she tilted her head up to look at me.
"As if you didn't know?" She huffed annoyed. "I have never seen all the woman in my kingdom so infatuated by a man before, and now I get jealous stairs from practically every woman in town, lucky I am not affected by your looks" she said
"Oh really" I said smiling knowingly
"Oh yes" she said "a pigs is still a pig."
I smiled at her comment not at all affected by it.
"You wanna know what Cora? I am going to take your word for it since your such a expert on pigs, in fact you see one in the mirror everyday, you should know what they look like by now. " I said as I thought of how my ability to come back on everything rude that comes out of Cora's mouth never seems to fails me.
"Oh you..." She stopped before she finished. "Oh never mind. Your not worth the air I waste talking to you" she said as she looked away from me and back at the target. It was my turn to go first but instead I just waited. I thought of what she asked me. The first place
"I didn't want to waste the time in trying to find a companion and queen, I would never enjoy a lady's Company anyway, there all the same, stupid ," I said.
Cora sucked in a breath.
"Oh woman are dumb now? And I suppose man just have to deal with the horrible creatures that we are now do they?"
I shrugged, I didn't mean it to come out the way it sounded at all.
"No, that's not what I meant, even though you got to hand it to yourselves, some of you are not the brightest birds among the flock." I said jokingly but she tensed. It looked like she would punch me any minute.
"Oh come on Princess, you know I am only joking with you I said but she still had a disapproving glare on her face.
"Not all woman, just the ones that my father has introduced me to, I don't know how to put it but god there annoying." I said as her look told me to keep going, I never knew why I actually shared my thoughts on this subject with her but somehow I just felt oddly comfortable talking to her.
"So every elaborate ball my father would throw or every celebration my kingdom would have he would introduce me to women of royalty or wealth, most of the time both. And they are all the same, from the way they dress to the way they think, and talk, and move. None of them had anything that made them a actual person of there own, they would agree with all my ideals and philosophy's and frankly I have never been so annoyed and bored then when I had to sit there and talked to the brainless woman." I admitted.
Cora looked at me in the strangest way, not that her face actually looked strange or anything, no it was just a look I have never seen on her face before.
"I see your point," she said after some thought.
"but you have to understand that that's the way you want us, men I mean. They want a pretty little thing that does what they say and thinks what they think, and agrees with everything, that's the way we are brought up to be, to be what men like, that way we can support our families, it's a far trade." She said Emotionlessly.
I thought it over, I guess I never really thought about it that way, and frankly I had to agree with the girl, she told me how she felt and it drove me up the wall most of the time but somehow I didn't mind much.
"Hmm, I see. I guess your right for once"
"I am always right" she said.
"You know," she said after some thought.
"If you want to find a girl that will keep your mind occupied then I suggest that you go look elsewhere, not in the Palace with the royalty and wealth, but among the simple folk. a simple farm girl would do you just fine and you would be pulling a hole family out of the gutter." She said in all seriousness and I couldn't help but laugh. "I don't mingle with the peasants" I told her.
She looked at me and then just shrugged.
"What about you? Your quite old to be unmarried, Most of the girls your age have 4 children by now." I asked her curiously.
She laughed. "Unlike you I am not even looking for anything like that, i don't think about such silly things." She said with a truthful tone.
"To good for anyone I take it?" I asked
"Indeed" she said with a smile but I could tell there was something else behind it. "So" she continued. "Are we going to shoot or what?"

We spent the afternoon shooting and oddly I began not to mind it so much, after all it was better then hearing my mothers baby story's about me, she Often got carried away especially when guests were around. Cora was a great shot and I often worried she would beat mine, but luckily never did. We were unbelievably even at archery, I found that odd, because nobody usually even came close to me. The sun was almost setting and we decided to go back to the palace, nether of us in a rush to get there.
we arrived at the stables and entered it, I noticed a boy in one of the stables mocking out a stall, a stable boy I thought. He was a medium built fellow with dark brown hair and light blue eyes. He turned as he noticed us however he seemed to look right through me at Cora, That intrigued me.
He smiled at her then bowed at both of us respectfully, he walked over to Cora and helped her off her horse grabbing her waste as he did, I found myself clenching my fists. I couldn't help feeling annoyed at the sight of him touching her like that. What the hell is wrong with me?
I got off my horse and tied him out myself.
"Hello James! How have you been?" Cora asked
"Been busy my lady, haven't had the time for much lately but that's good I would rather be working then starving." The boy named 'James' said to her
"Oh don't be silly, you know I would never let you starve." Cora said as she smile genuinely, not a fake smile she usually has plastered on her face but a real one.
James looked up at me then back to Cora then Cora shifted uncomfortably before she introduced us.
"I am sure you have heard of my fiancé?" She asked him. There was definitely something unspoken between those words.
"Oh.. I heard plenty." He said knowingly. I was utterly confused but I decided I would just ask Cora about it later.
"Well William this is James, a old childhood friend. And James this is William my fiancé. " she said to the both of us. Is she trying to introduce me to a stableboy? a mere servant? That is just ridiculous.
"We don't talk to the likes of them" I said to her.
She looked at me with utter disbelieve and shock then her face straightened and she stared at me emotionlessly.
"Well then... I think we are done here don't you?" She said to me coldly.
"Come with me James will you?" She said as she stormed out of the stables.
Damn woman.....
