Isabel
Morning of September 21
I glanced around the dining table. We were currently eating breakfast. This included Rosie, Lucas, Kyle, Christy, Alex, Laila, Abby and a few other pack members that had small conversations with each other like Gisselle, Hanna, Jace, Dean, Ben, Freddy, Hunter and Travis and some others. Lilith was in the library for some reason. She was constantly going to the library if not the garden and the woods.
I had introduced myself to her the day after Lucas and I had sex for the first time. I still blush about that. We had a few rounds every now and then. Afterwards everything simmered down a bit. And people found out that once we were mated we had to celebrate since I was fully becoming a Luna of the pack soon. And as for Lilith, she was the sweetest witch I ever met. Of course Abby was my best friend but their was something about Lilith that made her different. She really has grown on me. Abby loves her too. They spend a lot of time together everyday. Lilith's constantly teaching Abby new spells and how to control her powers. Lilith has grown on the whole pack actually. Lucas thought it'd be nice for her to stay with us for a little longer and she gladly excepted. Having her around us made everything seem. . . Calm. Like I said there was something about her that made her different.
Christy and I have gone to visit our very emotional and frantic parents. They tackled us in a hug and threw questions every second they could. Eventually they calmed down enough for us to be able to speak to them. We both decided it'd be best not to tell them about being who we were. But Christy did mention the engagement because Kyle had proposed to her. Still can't get over how cute they were together. Kyle told me he had a surprise for her but wouldn't tell anyone what it was. Only Lucas knows.
And my parents? I visit every now and then. They let me live with Lucas and his family though they think it's somewhere else. We never let them into the pack house since they might have one too many questions about it. Why the forest? Near wolves and wild animals? Why so big this could be a mini hotel? Why are there so many people living in here?
Lucas' parents on the other hand, are out of the country now. Lucas and I figured they had been through enough and should go out and have fun for once since they've relieved their duties to the pack.
Now Demetria. She and I have gotten on good terms after everything that has happened. She apologized again about our past which I repeatedly told her that it was ok. After Lucas told me what she did to help find me I figured she truly was sorry and that I should cut her some slack. She's decided to go back home with an angry father (sense the arranged marriage was canceled) but she told me she'd be able to handle him. I hope she finds her true mate soon.
As for college. Being Luna and beta female was much more serious and important. We wanted to go to college to get our life together, see what our future holds. Neither of us had a dead set plan on what we wanted to be or do in the future. Now that everything is different, our purpose in life is to be strong females of the pack and be in this a hundred percent. Abby on the other hand is a different case. She still thought the college she got accepted to was great for her. So she moved over there with Lilith. They are practically inseparable now. Lilith takes care of her there and still teaches her more about her powers. And Abby comes down to visit us every time she has the chance. Like this week.
"Guys!" I turn my head towards the direction of a frantic Dawna. "Guy guys guys!" She squealed once she saw us in the dining room eating breakfast.
Did I say frantic? Maybe just overexcited was a better term.
"What's up?" Rosie raised a brow at her.
"You ok?" Alex chuckled at his sister.
"I'm freaking great! Wanna know why? Huh? Huh? HUH?!" She jumped up and down at the opposite end of the table. (Away from us)
Everyone at the table glanced at one another before looking at her. A chorus of what's and huh's circled the table. Dawna squealed one last time. "My wolf! She's back!" She jumped up and down. Everyone was shocked then overjoyed.
"You sure?" Laila asked after running towards Dawna. With a smile Dawna made her wolf present by showing her eyes shift from their natural brown color to a black. Laila attacked her in a hug. Everyone congratulates her and give her a hug or high five.
Abby sighed in relief. I didn't understand why until I remembered. Taking her hand in my own, I gave her a smile.
"It's ok now." It wasn't her fault. "You're the reason Dawna is still alive and that's what's important. And her wolf was just dormant, it's not like she was gone." I whispered to her.
Abby smiled at me. Out of no where Dawna came and attacked her in a hug whispering something that seemed to calm Abby a lot more. They let go of each other before Dawna sits down to grab Alex's plate of food.
"Hey!" He protested.
"You didn't wake me up to tell me food was ready so I'm taking your plate." Was her response.
He growled before mumbling a few colorful words and walking towards the kitchen to get some more food.
I laughed at that.
"It a full moon tonight." Lucas states.
My eyes met Christina's and she leaned closer into Kyle.
"I really don't know if I'm ready for this." She mumbled.
"We'll be there for you." I stated. "And Kyle too."
"It's a fact that a mate can make the process seem a lot less painful." Kyle said.
"Damn it Alex!" Laila said. "Why couldn't you be there?" She yelled into the kitchen and stomped away. Some of us chuckled at that. It brought a smile to Christina's face for a few seconds before fading away. She really was scared.
"It wasn't that bad Christy." At least try to make her feel better Isabel.
She gave me a look. She knew I was lying. "I said it wasn't that bad!" I fought back.
She rolled her eyes at me. "I'm not good with pain." She said lowly.
I honestly didn't know what to say. Nor did everyone else.
It's true though. She really wasn't good with tolerating pain. Even a paper cut with soap on her finger made her want to cry.
"Oh just wait until we're pregnant." I mumbled under my breath. Lucas and Kyle looked at me with a smirk.
"Already talking about babies now." Lucas whispered in my ear. I turned a bright red and looked away from them.
"Shut up." Was my great comeback.
"Hey I wouldn't mind having a few pups with you babe." Kyle leaned into her mark, making her blush after he kissed it. "I was thinking four. Maybe five." That made her freak out.
"Five! Five babies?" Her eyes almost bulged out of her head. "You know what, I think I'd prefer shifting then getting myself torn apart by five children." She jumped up and walked out.
"Christina." Kyle let out a frustrated growl and chased after her. "Baby I was kidding."
Lucas playfully glared at me. "What?"
He continued to eat his food and shook his head. Lifting up his fork and pointing it at the door, where Christy and Kyle exited from, he says "You see what you did?" I gapped at him.
"You guys are the ones that have super hearing! It's not my fault you have stupid super hearing." I grumbled under my breath. He simply kissed my cheek and leaned into my ear. "If you wanted to have pups you could've just told me." I slapped his chest and continued eating my food.
"We have to get ready for the full moon so eat." I ordered.
* * *
The moon will be up soon.
Alex said in about 30 minutes it will be rising. But that was 25 minutes ago.
At the moment Kyle is comforting Christy. Only a few of us were allowed to be here. Too many people might make her or her wolf feel uncomfortable and or claustrophobic.
So she only allowed me, Kyle, Abby, Lucas and Lilith. Everyone else was at the house waiting for the cue to run. After she shifts, we will all run with her (besides Abby and Lilith since they aren't wolves).
I approached Christy and gave her an encouraging smile. "Babe you know you can do this." She looked petrified.
"Does it last long? What does it feel like?" I sighed and sat down on her lap, wrapping an arm around her neck.
"I won't lie. It feels like eternity. It's only a few minutes but it feels like so much more. And the pain." I scuff. "But you'll pull through." I nudged her and pushed her into my chest, hugging her.
She grinned so that's a positive. "Listen if you weren't meant for this, do you honestly think the Moon Goddess would have paired you and Kyle together?" I said. "You know my motto."
"All foods before dudes?" She questioned looking confused. "Babe, given our current position today, us having mates and all, I don't think that motto really works anymore."
I dropped my head and pinched my nose. "The other one you butt." She laughed. "Oh you mean 'All things happen for a reason.'" We both said at the same time.
Kyle came up to us and pointed towards the center of the woods; a small clearing that had the trees circling around us. "It's time."
Our smiles faltered a bit. I turned to Christy and kissed her forehead. "You be fine." I walked towards the others while Kyle took Christy behind the trees to strip. We waited until she finally came out with a towel wrapped around her. She sat in the center with us a few feet away circling around her.
I stared up at the moon, loving the way it glistened in the late evening sky.
My ears caught the sound of bones snapping and loud screaming. It hurt to see her in such pain but I know that she'll pull through.
After the noise became unbearable I leaned into Lucas, keeping my eyes shut tight. We stayed like this for a few minutes until I heard a low growl. My head turned to see Christy's wolf. She was an autumn red-orange color. I expected her to look more like her hair color but I was wrong. Her eyes were the same crystal blue eyes though.
"Damn." I mumbled under my breath. Honestly, even as a wolf she looked hot. That's not even remotely fair.
She was nuzzled up against Kyle and appeared so hyped up. I have a feeling that's her wolf, eager to run. Lucas and I walked behind a tree and stripped, leaving our clothes up on the tree's branches. We came out once we shifted. I noticed Kyle had shifted as well. He was a dark brown wolf with hints of blonde hairs.
My snout hit the side of Christy in a way to get her attention. She pounced on me and started nipping at me playfully. I kicked her off knowing she was probably laughing right now.
I notice Kyle and Lucas staring at me. 'What?'
'You're a blonde wolf?' I heard Kyle's voice.
'Woah, how can you-'
'We have fully mated Lizzy. That means you're Luna and the pack link is now open to you. I guess you haven't realized until now because you haven't shifted since we mated and you haven't talked to anyone through the link till today.' Lucas said from my side. He was a black wolf. It looked almost violet.
I shook my head. 'Wait so anyone can hear me?' I asked through the link. All of a sudden a bunch of voices responded in my head making me whimper. Who the hell are those voices from?!
'Alright everyone. Calm down! Don't overwhelm your Luna. She is new to this. The same goes for Christina.' Lucas looked at me. 'I'm gonna have to teach you how to handle that later.'
I nodded my head. 'Obviously'
Next thing I knew all these other wolves showed up. Everyone who was waiting for the signal to run I'm guessing.
'Are we running or what?' Alex asked through the link. Christy took off with Kyle racing after her. Everyone then started running all together.
I turned my head to see Abby and Lilith were heading off towards the pack house.
I watched ahead of me as everyone ran in bliss. Though I can understand why. This was an experience I might probably never get over. Running along side my friends who were practically like family to me. My pack members as well. And during the autumn time, I swear everything smells so much sweeter than you'd expect.
I'm glade I got bitten by Demetria.
