Tristan and I came back home and we were greeted by Dayne chasing Chris around the house.
Tristan and I looked at each other and smiled.
"I say that we go cuddle and watch movies."
"Okay, I'll get us some snacks and drinks then I'll meet you up there."
He nodded and kissed my cheek.
He walked upstairs as I walked into the kitchen, I grabbed a large bowl and placed a bag of popcorn in the microwave. As I was waiting for it to finish, Chris came into the kitchen. He saw me and his smile faltered.
"Hey Camryn,"
"Hi Chris."
"How uh how was your date with Tristan?"
I knew he didn't really want to hear about my date with Tristan, but I went along with what he was doing. Which was trying to make polite conversation.
"It was really nice. I was glad to get one on one time with him."
He nodded and looked at me. I crossed my arms across my chest as we both stood there awkwardly. When I looked at him, his eyes were locked on my hand. I looked down and saw that I had my promise ring on.
It's not that I'm ashamed of it or that I don't like it. I just wasn't sure when I wanted everyone to know.
"You guys, uh, you guys are engaged?"
I shook my head as the microwave went off. I opened it and poured the bag of popcorn into the bowl.
"Tristan and I aren't engaged. This is a promise ring. It's a promise that he would always love me and support me through anything we go through."
Chris nodded and walked away.
Great. Now, I hurt him.
I'm in love with Tristan but I hate hurting other people, especially when it comes to Tristan's best friends.
I walked upstairs to Tristan's room and placed the popcorn on his bed. He came out of the bathroom only wearing gray sweatpants and no shirt. You would think I'm used to seeing him without a shirt but I still drool every time.
"Camryn."
I snapped out of my daze and looked at him. He laughed and came over to me, handing me a hoodie and a pair of sweatpants.
"Go put these on."
I nodded and walked into the bathroom, changed, and walked back out to Tristan.
I laid on the bed as he pulled me closer towards him and kissed the top of my head.
"You pick the movie babygirl."
"I don't care. Let's watch something scary."
"You got it."
He turned on the movie IT and of course the whole time we were watching the movie I hid in his shoulder.
