~~(Y/n) POV~~
I wake up to the ringing of the alarm clock and start my morning routine. I go over what I have to do today, ok so I have school and a few projects to do after. I feel like there's something important today... Wait. Oh shit. How in the world did I forget the sports festival?
I go wake up Todoroki.
"Todoroki, wake up."
"5 more minutes."
"Sure, but you won't get breakfast and today's the sports festival."
He gets up immediately, and you heat up some Eggo pancakes. He soon comes in and eats breakfast.
After, I take care of the dishes and walk together, out of the dorms, and into class. About half of the students are already there.
I take my seat, and wait patiently for the bell to ring. Aizawa comes in on time for once.
"Alright class, as you know, today's the sports festival. Go get changed into your PE uniforms and meet me by the stadium." He says.
I quickly shuffle to the locker room and unfortunately, the girls are already there. I don't like changing in front of them, so I quickly did my business and left. I remember the shirt I created for Todoroki. I tried that again, only this time, my shirt and pants in the PE uniform design. With a small amount of concentration, it works. I head out and meet up with Todoroki.
"Can you give me a moment? I need to talk to Midoriya." He said.
"Sure." I say, and create a book, getting to a good part.
"You really shouldn't use your quirk too much before the festival." He says.
"Hush, just go talk to Midoriya."
So he heads off and I overhear their conversation. He gains attention just by walking up to Midoriya like the perfect Ice Queen he is.
"Midoriya, Looking at things objectively, I think I'm stronger than you."
Midoriya looks surprised, "Y-yeah.." he stutters.
"But.. All Might has his eye on you doesn't he?" Todoroki asks.
'Wait a Fuck.. All Might does seem to have a soft spot for Midoriya. Secret love child?' I think.
'You are so dumb!' scoffed Angelica.
'Look who's talking.'
"I'm not going to pry about that." Todoroki countinues, ,"But I'm going to beat you."
Midoriya looked shocked, don't blame him honestly.
"Oh? Is the strongest in the class declaring war?" Asks Kaminari.
"You're actually dumb." You mutter.
"Hey, hey, hey. Why are you picking a fight all of a sudden?" Kirishima asks, putting a hand on Todoroki's shoulder.
'Woah woah hands off him he'll give you the cold shoulder' you thought.
'you are not funny.' Angelica says.
"Shut it Angelica." I whisper.
"Now we're about to start." Kirishima says.
"We aren't here to play friends." Todoroki says.
'Bitch, what am I? A roach?' I think rolling my eyes. If Todoroki wasn't having his spotlight, I wouldve slapped him.
He walks back towards me.
"So what does it matter?" Todoroki says.
"Todoroki I don't know what your thinking when you say you'll beat me." Midoriya says and Todoroki stops.
"But of course your better than me."
"But I think your more capable then most people..."
'Probably forgetting me in that statement...'
"Looking at it Objectively..." Midoriya says.
"Midoriya, you probably shouldn't be talking so negatively." Kirishima says.
'Kirishima, quiet. This is some good plot action.
"But everyone, The students from the other courses are aiming for the top with everything they've got! I can't afford to fall behind."
Todoroki turns around and faces Midoriya.
"I'll be going for it with everything I have too." Midoriya says.
"Yeah" Todoroki says.
'This boy says that and all you say is yeah?'
Todoroki walks back over to me
He noticed me pouting and my furrowed brow. He sighs, "(Y/n) what's wrong?"
"We ArEn'T hErE tO mAkE fRiEnDs." I quote him.
"You are a dumbass."
"Says a dramatic ice queen."
"I swear those 2 are absolutely meant for each other." I hear someone from the class mutter.
Having heard that I audibly sigh yet a light pink dusts my cheeks. Why am I feeling this way? Maybe nerves I don't know.
After a bit of awkward silence we head out to the stadium.
"HEY!" I hear present mic scream along with cheering. "Pay attention, audience!"
"Swarm mass media! This year's high school rodeo of adolescence you all love, the UA sports festival is about to begin! Everybody, are you ready?!" Shouts Present Mic. "It's time for the students to enter the first year stage!"
I walk out of the tunnel, towards the field in the center of the stadium.
"The UA sports festival! The huge battle where fledgling heros sharpen their swords once a year! Anyway, these are the guys, right? The miraculous new stars who overcame enemy attacks with their hearts of steel!" Yelled Present Mic.
'Yeah, sure. I'm a special case then.' I think sadly.
"Hero course, Class 1A!"
Cheering. Lots of cheering. I started to get anxious. I didn't love attention, but I know it is needed to get a good internship.
I walk out along with my class and put on a blank face, as does Todoroki. We are both concentrated so I knew the others wouldn't say anything to us. We were all nervous for sure.
Present Mic countinued to introduce the rest of the classes.
The R-rated hero brings down her whip, "Its time for the player pledge!" She says.
I notice the blushing crowd, most likely cause by Midnight.
"What is Midnight wearing?" Kirishima asks.
"Quiet everyone!" She yells.
"Representing the students is Katsuki Bakugou and (Y/n) Neptune from class 1A!"
'Exscuse me? What now? I did NOT sign up for this shit.' I think.
The classes look towards me and Bakugou, but keeping my nerves under control, me and Bakugou step up to the Mic.
"I pledge that I'll be number one." He says.
'I knew he'd do that!" The class seems to almost yell in unison.
The classes booed giving Bakugou a thumbs down.
"At least be a nice bouncy step for me to jump off of." Bakugou says, mimicking the thumbs down the crowd was giving him.
As he walks down I slap the back of his head and run before he hits me back.
"Idiot.." I mutter.
"I pledge.. That no matter what the first years will do we will give it our all, and certainly become our future hope, our future heros. We will go beyond, Plus Ultra!" It was simple, and a bit cheesy, but honestly anything was better than what Bakugou said.
The crowd cheered. 'We're saved!" Thought the class. I return to Todoroki's side.
A screen popped up above read 'first game.'
"Now, let's get started right away!" Says Midnight.
"The first game is what you call a qualifier. Every year, many drink their tears here! Now here is the fateful first game!" Midnight said.
'oh.. uh.. me and fate are arch enemies so.. RIP me.' I think.
"This year it's... An obstacle race! All 11 classes will participate in this race. The course will be the outer circumference of this stadium-- about 4 Km! Our schools selling point is freedom! "
Midnight suductvely licks her lips.
'Not here please' I think.
"As long as you stay on the course, it doesn't matter what you do!" Midnight says, her tone changing.
"So can I unleash Angelica and murder everyone?" I mutter.
'You're going to unleash me~?' Angelica questions
'No, I was being sarcastic, dummy."
"Now, take your places everyone!" She says.
I go to the door, this time in front but away from Todoroki. I knew he would most likely freeze the ground. I would need to shape shift. I started to think about flying. Birds, fast, small bird. Hummingbird! It was small enough so it wouldn't take much energy. Perfect.
The countdown started.
"Start!" Midnight yelled. I make a dash for it.
