Violet seemed like the average adult. She worked a good-paying job, had a car, a house of her own, visited her family now and then, had good friends... everything.
But there was something off with her. She knew it but never faced it.
She didn't mind though. She thought everyone was like this.
That was until she talked to a therapist.
Then she was diagnosed with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, otherwise known as OCD.
A mental disorder in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, sensations, and behaviors that drive them to do something over and over again. Often, they feel as though they have no choice and carry out the actions to itch their urge.
Was it taken seriously? No. Nobody cared. She told her mother, took medicine, controlled herself, and everything was in order.
Until she met Clementine.
After she met her, everything fell out of place. She began watching her, noting her every move, watching all of her social media accounts, going through all of her likes, comments, and posts. Going through every account that followed her, making sure she was still single, watching her best friends, ex's, family members, everything.
She watched everything she did. She always made time to check up on her. Checking up on her would be watching her stories on Instagram, going through her posts and making sure no one was commenting heart eyes if they weren't a friend. She wanted to make sure Clementine was safe and sound.
No matter if she was at work or home, she always had time for Clementine.
--------------------------------------------------------
"Sorry about that." Clementine smiled shyly, her excited honey gold eyes nervously watching Violet's face, waiting for a reaction.
Violet looked at Clementine without emotion, admiring her cocoa butter skin, curly brown hair that bounced off of her shoulders lightly, her Golden eyes, how her shoulders tensed up slightly, yet her collar bones sat assuredly.
The shakiness of her voice sent a chill through Violet's body as she cherished the sight before her.
"No, no, no, it's okay, no need to apologize." Violet gave Clementine a trusting smile, speaking boldly, her posture standing strong for once in her life.
Their eyes locked.
"I guess I owe you an introduction now..?" Clementine's cheeks turned a bright red as she tried to turn away to hide it, failing miserably.
"I wouldn't say owe, but I'd love to get to know you though." The green-eyed Cassanova stuck her hands in her pockets, sitting on the table behind her.
"Well, I'm Clementine. Nice to meet you." She grinned once more, her almost pearly white teeth shining along with her skin, reaching her hand out.
"Violet." The blonde greeted back, taking Clementine's hand in her own and placing a soft kiss on it. That was the most affection she'd felt in years.
Violet noted that Clementine's cheeks had turned into an even deeper red, her eyes filled with curiosity and possibly even lust.
"So, you're a harry potter fan? Wonderful taste, but I'd recommend 'The Help'. Now that's a good book." Violet began to make small talk to get to know what she was dealing with just a little better. "Well, My friend keeps telling me to read it, so, I decided to give it a chance." The brunette shrugged her shoulders, drawing Violet's eyes to them before she continued speaking.
In her quick glance, Violet noted the black bra peeking through the white blouse delicately.
"But anyway, are there any more books you'd recommend? " Clementine finished, looking Violet in the eye again, but with more confidence.
"Well, maybe 'The Bluest Eye', 'The Purple Hibiscus', or maybe even 'The Book Thief', ' Lost Children Archive'. I could go on and on about books. Of course, I was the typical nerd in high school, as obvious as it is." Violet giggled, fixing her belt buckle.
"How about, we meet up, and you tell me all about those books, or, maybe we could even read together," Clementine offered with a flirtatious tone, looking Violet in the eyes with determination.
"Number?" Violet handed her the phone, smiling openly.
As Clementine typed, Violet's eyes wandered down to the girl's skirt. Thoughts began to find their way into her head. The short skirt, tucked in blouse, the curly hairs bouncing on her shoulder? It threw her off a bit. Caught her attention more than it should've.
She started to imagine some inappropriate things.
"You have my Instagram and my number... so, text me when you get home?"
"I definitely will. Be safe."
"You too, Violet."
--------------------------------------------------------
Ever since that afternoon, Violet couldn't get the image of Clementine out of her head.
The sound of her voice.
The softness of her hand.
How clean she looked.
Her shy yet daring eyes.
Her interest in books.
All of her.
It had been about a week since she got Clementine's number. They had a few conversations here and there, never forced them. They were always straight forward, heart-to-heart, and patient. That made Clementine go crazy on the inside. She never met anyone like that. So loving and caring. So patient and gentle. Someone who let her be her. Someone who never judged her.
Violet knew what Clementine needed. What she craved, all from that one encounter. She read her perfectly.
----------------------------------------
Violet slid her jacket on gently before getting out of the car. Deciding she needed a lot more coverage, she pulled down the tip of her hat to hide her face a bit better.
She shut her door quietly, hoping not to alarm anyone in the area.
She didn't bother to lock it, might be too much noise.
She wouldn't want to wake Clementine up at 2 Am.
------
She picked the lock to Clementine's front door, taking a minute to listen before proceeding.
"I'll be in and out Clem. I just need to make sure you're safe." Violet whispered to herself, convincing herself that she was in the right. It's not like she could control it.
She looked around before taking a step inside.
It was quiet. A little too quiet.
Normally, you'd hear an air conditioner or something, but no, nothing.
Violet had watched the house all day. No one was there except for Clementine. She'd been watching for about a week now. Only friends had stopped by for a while, no one else.
"Just make sure she's okay and leave-"
Her thoughts were interrupted by a shaky breath coming from Clementine's room.
She was awake.
Violet didn't care. She proceeded but decided to be a lot more cautious now.
A whimper came from the brunette's room.
Violet took her time, finding herself next to Clementine's door.
Of course, it was wide open.
Just her luck.
A pattern of heavy breathing escaped from Clementine's chest.
Violet took a quick look with one eye, only to see clementine laying on her back, still huffing profoundly.
Violet couldn't look away.
Not after seeing the girl she obsessed over, exposed.
Naked.
The lighting of the room reflected off of her skin, making the setting a calm purple. She took a deep breath before sitting up on her bed, looking for her phone.
She couldn't help but question what she was thinking about as she helped herself.
Her thoughts overwhelmed her.
She wanted to say something but decided against it.
It would scare Clementine.
She'd never see her again.
That was something she needed to avoid.
When Violet had the chance, she went for the bathroom as fast as she could without alarming Clementine.
Violet heard the floorboards creak with a sigh following after it.
Clementine.
What particular timing.
So, where did Violet hide?
In the shower of course.
Clementine huffed once more before turning on the sink water.
Violet watched the silhouette from behind a curtain until she was finished cleaning her teeth.
Violet adored how clean she was.
Another creak and a slight slam.
The door.
Then another creak.
The bed.
-------------
On her way out, Violet stopped by the laundry bin for a second. Of course, it was full to the top, considering how Clementine was almost always too busy to even take care of herself.
She moved some clothes around until she pulled out a pair of laced red underwear. It was perfect.
She took inhaled the scent of them, taking a deep breath and adoring the smell of the undergarments.
Clementine wouldn't notice they were gone.
