Disclaimer: this is the work of fanfiction. In no way am I making Jae a bad guy. Because it is physically impossible to do that. Can he be a jealous ex? Yes but that does not mean he has to be evil.
Also, just because I made Somi play a villain in my Olympus AU does not mean I hate her so please do not assume anything. Also because Suran doesn't like Jisoo, does not mean i hate Suran. I am a fan of both singers. But like I said, not everyone has to get along and i am displaying basic human emotions and actions.
Prompts will be posted sometime tomorrow.

When the new boyfriend meets the jealous ex. + .° ࿐
Now, Taeyong prides himself in being a calm man. Especially in relationships. He's not a jealous man nor is he possessive.
Of course, there are moments where he feels a bit jealous and insecure knowing the type of person Jisoo is. Also knowing that she was one of the most sought after single female in kpop before him, it does come with the feeling of insecurity because of that.
But Jisoo always reminds him of how much she was completely devoted to him. Jisoo is a very loyal lover. Her focus would be on only the person she is with. And Taeyong was glad that he could be that focus.
So he never had to worry about her finding someone else. Which settled the insecurity in him.
But that didn't mean he didn't have to worry about ex boyfriends.
Now, Taeyong has never met Yongguk but he's sure that he is a nice guy. He's never felt otherwise.
Once Jisoo felt more comfortable talking about her ex boyfriends, she told him about Yongguk. From the stories she told, he was a good guy just not mentally ready to fully commit. And he didn't want to drag her down with him.
Taeyong has met Dokyeom from Seventeen sometime after they officially went public.
The two ex's coordinated a double lunch date together. Dokyeom had been dating a girl he met a couple of months back and he wanted Jisoo, one of his closest friends, to finally meet her.
The lunch date was nice, the girl was even sweeter. Her and Jisoo made fast friends. Taeyong could honestly see why Dokyeom and Jisoo dated before.
He was a very good guy. A gentleman, had one of the brightest smiles he has ever seen and he was just an easy going man.
Dokyeom was honestly the first to make him feel a little bit insecure, despite the fact that he has a girlfriend now.
And the only reason he felt that way was because he couldn't help but wonder why? Why did the two end it?
This guy was like the perfect man.
But Dokyeom talked to Taeyong. He reassured that Jisoo is, indeed, in love with him and that he is happy that she found someone that could love her better than he could. And to always be honest with her.
In short, they became friends after that.
Now, if there was one time Taeyong felt fully insecure and a bit angry, was the time he met Jae. Jisoo's first love.
You know, they say you could never get over your first love. And that motto scared him internally.
Because what if she still had feelings for him? What if Jae took her away from him?
He knew it was ridiculous to think that but he couldn't help the insecurity that rose a little in him.
And it only grew a little more when he met him. Granted, Johnny and Jaehyun has both met him before and they said that he was a cool guy. Very nice and easy to talk to. Day6 was a great band and he was a fan, also.
He had nothing against Jae and most likely, never will. If he kept his respect for their relationship.
But Taeyong wasn't so sure of that after meeting him purely by coincidence when he visited the JYP building.
Jisoo had been there all day because of a collaboration stage she was preparing with GOT7's Jinyoung for Gayo Daejun.
So she invited him to meet at the cafeteria of the building. To which, he said yes.
Any chance to be with her, he will take.
When he got there, Jisoo immediately greeted him with a big hug and kiss. He turned red when he saw Jinyoung looking at them with a smile on his face. As if he was a proud father.
Though Taeyong wasn't used to PDA, he loved it when Jisoo initiated it first. It made hin feel more comfortable with the concept.
The three hung out, talked and even laughed a lot. Jinyoung was a very funny guy, despite the serious facade the media painted him to have. Taeyong knew a thing or two about that.
So the two related more to each other. He honestly loved meeting all of Jisoo's friends and he was glad that his personal friends loved Jisoo.
"I'm going to go buy a bottle of water." Taeyong said, standing up from their table.
"Okay, love." Jisoo said, smiling at him.
Giving her a soft kiss on the forehead, he walked over to the line.
Taeyong stood in line, holding his bottle when it all started. He had no idea that Jae was just behind him. Neither men knew of each others existence until Jae looked up from his phone and saw Taeyong standing in front of him.
"Yo, you're from NCT." He said, grabbing his attention.
Taeyong looked behind him, noticing Jae standing right behind him. Politely smiling, Taeyong greeted him. "Hey, you're Jae."
Jae chuckled a little, rubbing the back of his head. Of course, he knew of Taeyong. He was a fan of NCT. Also, he just so happens to be dating his ex-girlfriend.
Jae never considered himself to be a jealous man. But something in his heart tightened when he first heard that Jisoo was with Taeyong.
And it made him a little envious.
Or a lot. Considering no one in the band believes that he is completely over Jisoo.
But Jae pushed that possibility past him. Jisoo was a single woman, she could date whoever she wanted. Especially since it was him who abruptly ended things.
But for some reason, the thought of her being with anyone else but him irked his nerves. It annoyed him and it pulled at him.
Her dating someone like Taeyong, especially given his perfect reputation and amazing looks, only bothered him even more.
Call him selfish for having these thoughts all you want, that's life.
"How are you doing, man?"
"I'm good, thanks." Taeyong replied, shaking his head. "What about you?"
"Oh, you know. Just getting by." Jae nonchalantly said, focusing on the line. "Man, this line is so slow."
Taeyong laughed a little. "Yeah, well, it is lunch time."
Silence fell between them as the two avoided eye contact. Jae was itching to say something but was contemplating on whether or not he should say anything else.
But then he though, why not?
"So I heard you and Jisoo are dating?" Jae asked, making conversation.
Taeyong nodded, pursing his lips. "Yes, we are."
"Nice nice." Jae mumbled before more silence fell on them. "I just want to say, as someone that has been with her, you've got a diamond in your hands."
That was a nice thing to say to him. Taeyong felt grateful for him to say that. Jisoo was a diamond.
"Yeah, I know." He mumbled, smiling over at her. Watching her laugh at whatever Jinyoung said.
"Just be careful." Jae suddenly said, making Taeyong look at him.
"What do you mean?" Taeyong asked curiously.
"Oh nothing, it's just, if you don't keep her interested long enough, her attention could stray away."
Taeyong felt worry rise in his chest. What did he mean by that? He was someone who knew how Jisoo was in relationships, should he trust his judgement?
That's ridiculous, Taeyong he thought, shaking off the worry. Jisoo is interested in you, she hasn't shown othetwise.
"Yeah, well good thing I don't have to worry about that." Taeyong said slightly optimistic.
"I remember the time I said the same thing." Jae mumbled, reminiscing. "It was a very long time ago, though. . . . . You don't have to worry about anything, bro. It's clear to that she has a reoccurring type. Rappers with a past, huh?"
Taeyong paused. Did he . . . . just insult him? Was that a jab at his past? Taeyong felt insulted by that. And, if he was honest, a little irked.
"What is that supposed to mean?" He asked, fully turning around to him. "What do you mean by that?"
Jae saw the offense in his eyes after he said that and quickly replied. "Nothing, bro, nothing. It's just Jisoo has always had this thing about wanting to fix people. It's admirable, really. Every person she has started dating were going through something."
"I'm not going through anything." Taeyong responded, with a little sterness in his voice. "I was never going through anything when we started dating."
"And that's good." Jae defended himself calmly. "That's great. . . . But I can see why the two of you would make sense, you know."
Now, what was he talking about? It's like this guy likes to give backhanded compliments. Just when he thought he was complimenting him, he turns it into a nonchalant insult and then making it seem like he was crazy into thinking that.
What was Jae trying to do?
"And why could you see that?" He asked, challenging him.
One thing Taeyong will never be is scared of anyone and anything anyone has to say about him. He had been called way worse as he continued this line of work.
If Jae was bold enough to give him backhanded compliments, he should be bold enough to look him in the eyes and say what he truly felt.
Jae could tell he pushed a button. By the way Taeyong was staring right into his eyes. He knew Taeyong wasn't weak. He could tell he was strong willed and he was not planning on backing down. And neither was Jae.
"Think about it, Jisoo is the face of Bighit, you're the golden idol of SM, it makes sense as to why the two of you are together." Jae explained. "Though I'm pretty sure everything is genuine, your relationship does seem like a money cow to both companies."
Something clicked in his mind. Taeyong suddenly realized why he was being this way. And it made him chuckle to himself.
"I get it." He mumbled, crossing his arms. "You're jealous."
Now it was Jae's turn to become shocked. What did he just say?
But Taeyong kept a smirk on his face as he saw it was his turn to pay for his stuff.
"Sometimes, there is a reason the past is in the past." Taeyong said as he paid the lady. "You shouldn't drown yourself in it, or you'll age quickly.
You shouldn't let insecurity ruin your opportunities. Evidently, it has before."
Taeyong turned to him, that same cocky smirk on his face as he nodded towards Jisoo. "She's moved on, why can't you?"
With that, Taeyong walked off. Not caring how he reacted. Suddenly his steps became lighter and he felt even more confident than ever.
It was safe to say that not even a jealous ex will be able to stop him from being with Jisoo.
