Throbbing that is the only thing I can feel right now I wake up clenching my stomach and I can feel the sweat dripping from my forehead I wipe it away looking over to the clock it reads 5:27 am i get out of bed feeling the sudden need to pee walking across the room and into the bathroom i turn on the light and do my business after I’m done i flush and walk over to the sink to wash my hands. Looking in the mirror I can see that the bags are still under my eyes and that I am still sweating but the throbbing hasn’t stopped I look down at my wound seeing that the bandage is crimson I slowly undo the bandages to inspect the wound again and to my horror it has gotten worse I run my face clothe under the cold water and then ring it out before lightly dabbing the wound to clean it up hissing through the pain as the cloth comes into contact with skin I feeling the tears pricking at my eyes I mind link the doctor “ Sarah I need to see you now my wounds haven’t healed they are getting worse” I softly say I know I need to get this seen to and fast because its infected. Exiting the bathroom I walk back into my room going over to my wardrobe I quietly open it up grabbing myself a pair of jeans and a tank top so that it is easier for the doctor to check my wounds properly I agonisingly put on my clothes and quickly put my hair up into a messy bun.
“Yeah sure come to the clinic now and I will get it looked at I just have to check up with the Alpha first then I will see you" Sarah says through the link. I walk the rest of the way to the door and quickly leave making as little noise as possible so that I don’t wake up my parents I get down the stairs and to the front door with ease I take my keys from the hanger and unlock the door walking out I close and lock the door behind me I look around it’s still dark out I sniff the air before I start to jog over to the clinic which is a five minute jog from my home as I’m jogging the throbbing comes back with force but it’s not my wounds that is throbbing it’s my vagina and my nipples are hard I wrap my arms around myself to try and shield my breasts from the three guards walking by I fast walk the rest of the way to the clinic. Walking through the door I see that there’s none here yet I guess Sarah is still seeing to Elijah I walk over to the seats and sit down bouncing my leg as I wait for her to show up to check me out. I start to feel really hot again wiping my forehead I start to feel a light burning sensation go through my body and then I start to feel clammy. Resting my head against the wall as my body temperature starts to rise I know I’m starting to sweat again but what is driving me nuts is that I cant stop thinking about is Elijah’s naked body and wondering how it would feel to kiss him for the first time “ oh get a grip” I chime to myself I know I’m mad for thinking like this so soon after my break up and the fight we have all just been involved in. I stay leaning my head to the wall resting my eyes until that beautiful intoxicating smell hits my nose again my skin immediately lights up into flames knowing he’s close by I double over feeling the heat spread from chest to all over my body I am aching in every place and my wounds are hurting more as well I mind link Sarah again “hey I’m in the waiting room I don’t want to alarm you but I’m starting to get worse I’m burning up and the pain is every where now" I say as softly as I can without crying from the pain coursing through my body.
“I’m just walking through the clinic now I will be with you in a few moments hun promise” she says. I look at the floor wondering if that will cool my temperature down and help with the pain. I keep hold of my side as I crouch down getting on to my knees then on lay down and the cold floor but it’s not helping my temperature in fact its actually making this so much worse than it was but I cant move for the pain in my side. Feeling so clammy I lay on my back struggling to keep calm as I look at the white ceiling I see that my vision is becoming blurred I go to sit up when Elijah’s scent hits me like a ton of bricks igniting my body again I cry out from the pain I feel like I’m being burnt alive right now my wolf whines from the pain. Within seconds of my cry I’m scooped up by two strong tattooed arms and then the smell hits me again but I feel some coolness flow through me at his touch “god I crave his touch I need him now" I say to myself....... “well if you need me now then you have me" or so I through curl my into myself feeling embarrassed I know I’m blushing as well so I refuse to look up at him. “I don’t know what to say you make the fire igniting my body cool down what the fuck is happening” I sneer becoming irritated with myself for saying that out loud. Hearing the clicking of heels on the floor I start wriggling in Elijah’s arms trying to get down “please put me down I’m fine now" I ask looking you at his gorgeous face blinking a few times I feel him start to put me on my feet as soon as he let’s go i start to fall as if in slow motion he catches me hissing from the contact feeling those sparks all over again and then the coolness on my skin in every part that he is touching “what’s going on here are you okay Kaye" Sarah asks as she approaches us.
“She’s delirious hot and clammy and when she stands she falls down and her vision is unclear” I hear what is being said but it hurts to move my head away from Elijah’s shoulder where it is cooler shuddering as an other wave of what I can only describe as fire burns through my body I feeling my self shaking as my self and wolf howl in pain. Feeling like I’m being shaking about by what I can only assume is Elijah running while holding me the talking is Sarah I hear bits and pieces of the conversation “ Alpha you need to put her down your wounds will not heal if you don’t rest I will take of Kaye I promise sir" I hear doctor Sarah say. I feel myself being lay down and what I assume is a bed and feel Elijah take away his arms I feel the ache of not having his body on mine which I now find so funny I burst out laughing to the point I have tears streaming down my face I sit up still laughing and look at Elijah “what the hell is so funny woman have you lost your goddam mind" he snarls at me making me laugh harder “ this is so.... funny only hours ago...... I told you I needed space...... now I don’t want you to let me go" I laugh out to him. Then suddenly I stop laughing realising I have just said all of this out load to him feeling the colour drain from my face I look up to see Elijah with a shit eating grin across his smugly handsome face. “Kaye I need to do some bloods and then check on your wounds as well Alpha I’m afraid you need to step out while I do all of this if you don’t mind" Sarah speaks breaking mine and Elijah’s eye contact I nod my head in understanding and see Elijah looks ready to flip out I lay my hand on top of his and look back at his face he looks down at our hands then up to my face “Alpha I will be fine don’t worry get yourself home I need these wounds looked at I think that is what is coursing all of this” i say softly he looks down at me one last time before letting go of my hand and walks away giving Sarah a nod of his head before walking out of the door shutting it i peel my eyes away from the door back to the doctor seeing that Sarah has gotten a needle cotton wool balls and three vials for my blood she slowly walks over to me and takes a chair with her left hand to sit on once she is sat down she looks at me “I need a urine sample from you to rule of further infection and pregnancy is there a possibility of this before I test you" I shake my head at a lose for words. “ no there’s no chance of me being pregnant Sarah" I get up from the bed slowly so that I don’t make myself dizzy again I walk over to the toilet door and go in do my business into the pot I get up and take slow steps to the sink and wash my hands grabbing some paper towels to dry my hands I walk back over and unlock the door and walking back over to the bed taking a seat on the edge I wait for the doctor to come back in.
“Right lets do this test first” Sarah says and brings over two pregnancy tests she dips them both in the pot for a few moments then sets them down on the counter Sarah sets a timer on her phone while waiting for the timer to go off. “ Kaye now I’m going to ask you a few questions while we wait” She stats “ yes that is fine Sarah what do you need to know?” I sit fiddling with my thumbs waiting for her to speak. “when was the last time you had intercourse?” I look up at her “ two days ago and it was unprotected but he pulled out as we always do my last period was three weeks ago and I haven’t eaten anything that would make me feel like this”. I stat knowing these are the questions she is going to ask. “okay erm that makes this easier have you found your mate yet ?” I know i look like a dear in the headlights right now “ yes I have found my mate but he doesn’t know what he wants why?”. Sarah nods her head as she grabs the arm band and secures it around my arm and starts looking for a vain as she finds it she takes the needle “sharp scratch hunni” as the needle goes in I cant help but watch as she draws my blood it doesn’t take long drawing three vials and removing the needle from my arm I flex my arm waiting for the hole to close within minutes its healed. “okay one more question have you done anything with your mate?” Sarah asks I nod my head “yes he grazed my neck with his canines and partly marked me do you think that could have something to do with it" I ask feeling the heat returning I start to shake again Sarah notices this and puts her hand on my forehead feeling my clammy face she nods her head “right I need you to lay down” I do as she says and lay down on the bed she walks over with a fan and turns it on the fan pretty much just spreads Elijah’s scent everywhere in a way it calms me. “ Okay I will be gone for a few minutes I need to put these samples into the machine and get your pregnancy tests why should be ready now. At the thought of the tests I feel a wave of panic rush through me I try to calm myself down by singing in my head as I lay there I slowly start to drift into a light sleep.
Waking up screaming in pain I frantically start looking around me to find that I am still in the doctors room and that she is looking over what I’m assuming is my notes “ it burns Sarah do you know what is wrong with me" I cry out as an other unbearable wave of heat hits me. “ Kaye I have all of your results back first I need you to take this" she says handing me a cup of bright pink liquid I take a sniff of it out of curiosity and find that it has a fruity smell to it I then put the cup to my lips and drink it as if it where a shot it’s gone within a few seconds. I wipe my mouth as Sarah hands me a cup of water which I gratefully take I drink the water putting the cups together and getting off the bed only to fall to the floor "I swear I keep doing this a lot" I think to myself as i slowly get back up and become lightheaded I sit back down on the bed as Sarah comes over “ how long was I asleep for” I question the doctor as she wheels her seat over and then sits down lifting her head she looks at me “you’ve only been asleep two hours Kaye your body really does need the rest" I look at her sideways waiting for her to continue what she’s going to say “ I have all of your results back and there is bad news I’m afraid”.
