STORYTIME!
"I'm DONE!!!"
Logan has had enough of this nonsense. His voice reached an octave if was never meant to ascend to and his voice cracked like with his famous Falsehood. Honestly these people were driving him insane and back. Here he was, just trying to solve an issue objectively and all these emotions and feelings are getting in the way of what facts dictate is the best for Thomas. It's the essence ignorance and it is stupidity! Logan was fuming. Flames, seething flames on then side of his face. He was done with everything!
"Logan, calm down buddy. There's no need to get so worked up."
Worked up? wOrKeD uP!!?! THESE PEOPLE WERE THE ONES WHO WERE WORKED UP!!! Logan glared around at everyone in the room. Patton was frightened and holding himself, Deceit rising to the occasion and holding him while tsking at Logan. Roman was appalled a and angry with back him. Thomas was the one talking to him in the first place, obviously nervous. Then there was Virgil, holding his hoodie around his neck as if ready to put it up over his face like a barrier. Everyone hated him.
That's it.
He's out.
Without another word, he sunk out of the living area. He didn't go to his living quarters, instead he was in a secret sanctuary only himself as Logic knows. It's a place residing in the very back of the mind where Logan goes to compose himself when he is beyond the point of loathing. It's where he goes to cleanse his bias and go back to being an unopinionated being of pure logical statistics. It's similar to Pearl's room from the silly cartoon everyone else enjoys to waste their time with, only the sky is filled with bubbles.
Logan traced his fingertips over a bubble, creating a pitch of a chord from a music box. Logan was able to strategically create different songs he remembered by creating a sample set and manipulating the bubbles to play a certain key. A fun brain teaser game similar to one of the great Professor Layton's puzzles. The atomosphere was a swirl of black, blue, and purple like every color in the night sky. Logan lightly tapped 5e bubble again with his index finger, the value of blue assending up a few notches on the tint scale. Basically the color was lighter.
Logan continued walking around the place, slowly and gradually, making every single bubble lighter. That is the goal of this place for Logan. He just walks around, making bubbles brighter, until they radiate enough light so he can read if he isn't calm enough by the end of it. Logan traced his fingers, drawing random shapes on bubbles until they became a blue so bright, it turned back to white. Several Fifteen minute intervals pass and he isn't at all done, but what matters is that Logan is becoming calm again.
"Logan? What's all this?"
Logan accidentally popped a bubble, gasping and turning around to see Virgil in his sanctuary. Virgil had his hands shoved in his pockets. Virgil reached out to a darker bubble that floated near him. He touched it and flinched, jumping backwards when it made a sound and the color became lighter in value. Logan laughed, not feeling his character stereotype of being then stoic cold logistical type, and walked over to Virgil, grabbing the bubble and bringing it over to him.
"Here, try it again. The chord should be two keys higher and the color should go from Caribbean Blue to Mint Blue."
Based on how this bubble had a tendency to float higher, it had more drastic changes in both color and tune. Virgil forgot all about the situation and what had happened about two hours prior and he reached out to the bubble. Logan stood behind him. Virgil touched the bubble and the exact outcome that Logan hasn't predicted occurred. Virgil tried to jump back, but rammed into Logan, who placed his hands on his shoulders to keep him both still and stable. Now, Logan should explain what this is all about.
"Virgil, in the most simplest terms, welcome to my happy place. It isn't supposed to ease my nerves.
Virgil smiled weakly and touched the bubble again, but this time holding his finger there as the note rose with the color until the bubble was entirely white. There was excitement and wonder in his eyes. It made Logan forget all about his anger and why he was angry before this entire serenity period. However, Virgil hadn't forgotten and he turned around looking at Logan both concerned and angry at him, but mostly concerned.
"Hey, are you cool now? You kind of lashed out at everyone earlier and you nearly made Patton pee his pants again. I was going to offer to take you to my, as you said, Happy Place but if you're coo now we can go back to the others and talk everything through so everyone can see your point."
Logan pursed his lips into a thin line, looking away from Virgil. He didn't want to admit he had forgotten the argument so he decided not to respond. Logan reached for a bubble that was white and lifted it up in the air like those lanterns from Tangled. Logan took a step back and looked down, emptiness. There is no floor. There's just an invisible plane that you can walk on unless there's a fountain. Logan sat down and conjured a blanket and a book. Virgil sat down in front of him, confused.
"I'd prefer to stay in my happy place a while longer, would you care to join me?"
Virgil rolled his eyes, conjuring some headphones and clapping his hands. Logan rose an eyebrow once he found everything in some sort of shade of purple. There's a large oak tree similar to Yggdrasil from Etrian Odyssey. The grass was purple and the sky was a grayish lavender. The only non-purple was the golden crescent moon. This looks exactly like what Virgil's happy place. There was also a nice breeze. Virgil leaned against the tree and smiled, listening to his music.
Logan stood up and move down next to him under the tree, opening his book. Now this is a happy place. Logan can read, Virgil can listen to music, and they both can just destress and forget everything until they are calm and ready to face reality again.
