"Hmm, hmm," Noel hums a song with his in a melodic voice while seated on a private booth in a restaurant, waiting for his breakfast. His eyes are glued onto a book he is currently reading. Flipping through a page have Noel's smile widens to show the enjoyment he is having with the literature. "Oh... If only life is as easy as this story," the Blonde man comment before releasing a sigh.
Noel peaks over the book when hearing the curtain rustles before it opens to reveal Raynare entering. Noel's eyes widen slightly by this unexpected visit and immediately closes his book, placing it on the wooden table while his superior takes a seat on the opposite end. "Good morning, Lady Raynare," Noel greets with a kind smile "I didn't expect to see you here."
Raynare rests her arms on the table and looks at the young man straight in the eyes. "It's on my own volition... I am here to talk about your task. Ever since we recruited you, all our other potential recruits have failed. We can't have this one being another failure, Noel" "I know," "And a reminder, if this recruit you have your eyes on does turn out to be a disappointment... Expect your goodwill toward our Mistress to be severed" "Oh," Noel chuckles "I am very well aware of that, Lady Raynare."
Noel twirls the white straw in his glass of water around for a few times before shifting back to the woman. "Don't worry, Ivory will be an excellent addition to our organization. All I had to do is look into her eyes... That girl has been through some hardships in her early years but was able to overcome it with her own two hands. That kind of person is strong... And can get much stronger as time goes by."
Raynare crosses her arms and leans back. "Is she all of that? Because targeting Nawin Makasha to prove herself doesn't spell clever. She's useless as a corpse" "I know," Noel chuckles "But, you should not underestimate her. Ivory is a smart individual. Honestly, I think her going after the big one displays the level of confidence she has in her abilities, and also shows her fearlessness. Any other normal individuals would flee on sight if they were to spot the Black Flash" "... I can see where you are coming from" Raynare admits.
"Though," Raynare's violet eyes gleam in intrigue "What is it that makes you so confident of her ability?" "Well," Noel lets out a carefree smile while his eyes sharpen in intellect. "I have informed you that she is human, yes?" "Correct," "Humans... They have limits. They are fragile creatures that will wither away in time. They die when we are still growing up. Human has a shallow glass ceiling that can never be broken through. So, what if one day a person was born that shattered through that ceiling and became something more?" "You are referring to the ones that are blessed with Sacred Gears, Noel" "I am not, actually. Lady Raynare, Ivory shattered through that low glass ceiling without a Sacred Gear. She is an individual that's superior to normal humans in every way possible."
Instead of being intrigued or impressed, Raynare shows skepticism. "Noel... Even if that is the case. Humans are still weak in the end. If this is all she has to offer, she will not pose a threat to the Black Flash in the slightest" "Ahaha," Noel merely laugh "You are underestimating her, Lady Raynare. Though, I utterly get your doubts. Trust me, Ivory is special... I've seen her in action, and all I shall say is that I was thoroughly impressed" "... Does she possess a Sacred Gear?" "Of course, but... She preferred not to use it" "Why is that?" "That I don't know, but it seems to be for a personal reason."
Raynare stares at Noel for a moment before giving the nod and stands up. "Very well," she utters in her tranquil tone "Hope this Ivory Sayaka will meet your expectation, Noel. Realized that there's a chance depending on how she performs would mean life or death for you," "I am very well aware, Lady Raynare" Noel says with a polite smile. Raynare was about to turn around and leave "Oh, one thing," Noel speaks, making her turn to him "Yes?" "How's Mistress Sayomi? I haven't received word from her for a while now... Just from you" "... She's currently away on an important task" "Task?" "Secret... Even to myself" "Ah, I see."
With nothing more to speak, Raynare pushes the curtains open to see a Waitress standing there holding a plate containing maple syrup pancakes. "U-um," the blonde teenager stutters when meeting gaze with the taller woman in Raynare, who merely raise an eyebrow. Without a word said, she strides past the human and head for the exit.
Noel chuckles and smiles kindly at the human girl. "I see my pancake has finally arrived!" he says, snapping the girl's gaze back to him. She blushes and grins brightly "Yes, Sir! Sorry for the way" "Not a problem at all," Noel reply and watch her set the plate in front of him along with a glass of orange juice. "Looks delicious, thank you" "Enjoy your meal!"
Kuoh Academy
"Ok... So, why are we here?" Issei asks, scanning around to see everyone is present on the empty roof of Kuoh Academy. It is bright early in the morning and the first lesson of the day hasn't begun yet. "Yeah," Kokoro stop on her King's side, crossing her arms "What is everyone here?" "Well," Senna pops in and grin "Not everyone! I counted, and it seems Nawin-kun and Akeno-san aren't present."
"I wonder why Lucy told all of us to be here?" Misako wonders out loud "Must be something important," Rias inserts, smiling calmly "But what?" Misako then leans close to the Gremory to whisper "It can't be about the supernatural world stuff, right? Because Senna-chan and Momo-chan are here." Rias hums in agreement and nod before whispering back "Yes, I think we can rule that possibility out" "I wonder what it is..." "I certainly am blank on guesses."
As the chatter continues throughout the group for a moment. It all comes to a halt when the roof's door swings open, which sets all eyes to the direction and witness Lucy emerging out of the shadows with Aisa by her side. Lucy held Asia's hand to guide her up the stairs, considering the blind blonde can't handle the stairs well with her clumsy nature.
Lucy releases Asia's hand to give a wave at the crowd, a smirk plastered on her face. "Thanks for coming! I see everyone is present." "Well," Senna speaks up "Nawin-kun and Akeno-san are missing" "That was intentional, Senna-chan" Asia inserts with a bright smile. This information garners lots of confusion. "What's going on here, brat?" Riser speaks up, stepping to the front and glaring at the older Makasha "You are pulling some kind of prank here?" "Psh," Lucy snort "If that were my intention then I wouldn't plan it to be so obvious" "Then tell us what we are doing here?!"
Lucy's foxy smirk morph into a warm smile. "Everyone... The reason I called you all here is that Asia and I would like to introduce you to a very special person." Lots adopt a look of confusion by this announcement while Xenovia's and Yuuto's morph to shock then share a glance at one another. Lucy glance back at the still opened door "You can come out now!" she calls.
All eyes set at the shadow and footsteps echo out of the door. Emerging onto the roof is none other than Miraya Culdos. She stops between the Makasha's and offers a warm smile to the surprised group. Though some are more stunned than others. Specifically, the people that had an encounter with the Culdos.
"Whoa..." Issei is unable to let out a gasp of awe at this unknown beautiful girl. "How can someone be cute and gorgeous at the same time?" he whispers to Kokoro "Don't know," she replies, rolling her eyes "Good genes probably."
"You..." Rias steps out from the crowd to stop in the front, looking at the Culdos. "Ah," Miraya smile "We have met before, haven't we? I am noticing some people here that I had the pleasure of bumping into in the few days" she states. Miraya proceeds to give a polite bow before leaning back up "My name is Miraya Culdos... A dear childhood friend of Nawin Makasha" she introduced herself.
Rias along with everyone is left speechless by this unexpected information. All their wide eyes sets on the Culdos. Lucy is not taken aback by the stunned reaction. She predicted that this could be the case. 'After all... To most of them, Big bro's past is still an enigmatic one. Getting to meet Miraya all of a sudden... Who is a major part of that untold past will come to a shock,' Lucy glance at Miraya, and sees her just calmly smiling.
"Why isn't Nawin-senpai here?" Xenovia speaks up, stopping beside Rias while keeping a firm gaze on Lucy. Remembering the conversation, she shared with the Makasha from yesterday. It is clear to her that Miraya is an important person. One which Nawin should be present if she were to be introduced. After the promised he requested for them to keep her existence a secret.
"Xenovia-san, is it?" Miraya asks which has the Knight turn to her, surprised "Y-yeah," "First of all, I want to thank you to you and your boyfriend for delivering those cookies to Nawin" she says with a grateful smile. "Cookies?" Koneko repeats, blinking in confusion. "For the reason, Nawin isn't present right now is because of the important matter I want to discuss with you all" Miraya state.
Miraya lets out a knowing grin "Good chance if he knew I was here behind his back I would get a big scolding" "That's for sure," Lucy insert with a smirk while Asia quietly giggles. "Wait a minute," Riser speaks up, staring sharply at the Culdos "Before we even start jumping to this important matter you want to discuss. Why don't you explain more about yourself! You can't just suddenly appear and want to talk with all of us."
"Hey, douchebag!" Lucy exclaims, glaring at the Phenex "Watch your damn mouth." Riser is taken aback by the protectiveness the blonde shows toward this unknown girl. Miraya merely blinks in surprise 'How is it this person in Nawin's circle of friends. He utterly dislikes this type of people.'
"It's fine, Lucy" Miraya speaks up, giving a warm smile to the blonde before returning to face the group. "I guess I should tell all of about my past... Why you all are seeing me now for the first time."
Through the course of Miraya explanation. A variety of emotions are shown throughout the group. Shocked, Joy, and most of all, Sadness. The harsh past and hardship of Miraya's past touched everyone's heart. Even Riser had to look away to hide the sympathy in his sharp sapphire eyes. Listening to Miraya's past has also opened the group eyes into Nawin's life. Shining a new light on him that they never have seen or expected before. When Miraya was done speaking one thing became clear to all of them. Which is that Miraya Culdos is an important and special person to Nawin.
Miraya remains silent, waiting for the group to digest everything she has told them. From her death to all the years she waited and tried to find Nawin. Without a word, Rias walk up to the Culdos and offers her hand "It's nice to meet you, Miraya-san" she says with a warm smile "My name is Rias Gremory." Miraya doesn't hesitate and takes the girl's offered hand "A pleasure, Rias-san."
Now knowing just how dear this person is to her friend, Rias decided she will do whatever it takes to make Miraya feels like at home with the group. She already spotted Misako's and Senna's keen gaze on the Culdos, clearly excited to build a new friend in her.
"And I am Issei Hyoudou!" Issei stops beside Rias, grinning brightly "Boyfriend of this beautiful girl," he states, pointing at the Gremory, who giggles at his bold introduction. "Oh," Miraya tilts her head, her eyes gleam in intrigue "Nawin's Best friend" she utters. "U-Uh," Issei blinks "You know me?" "Nawin has spoken about you" Miraya replies then gives a warm smile "I actually want to thank you, Issei-san. For being a great friend to Nawin... You have no idea how much it means to him."
Issei is left speechless by the Culdos's words. "I-It's not a-a problem," he stutters out, blushing "Started out rough... But he and I eventually got along" "I heard." Everyone listens to every word Miraya spoke and can clearly comprehend that she cares deeply for Nawin. "I also want to thank every one of you," Miraya says, gazing at the rest and gives them a bright smile "Thank you so much for being there for Nawin. When we were young, he only had me. He wasn't the best when it comes to making friends, and I guess it was partly my fault too. I was always taking care of him to the point he didn't see it as a priority to make an afford to have other friends."
Once again, everyone is left speechless by the Culdos's words. Just utterly taken aback by the caring nature Miraya holds for Nawin. Akame's eyes shine with gratefulness and almost relief when looking at Miraya. "I think speaking for all of us," Rias says, grinning "Nawin-kun has helped all of us in many ways and has become a friend all of us dearly cherish" "Yeah!" Senna pumps her fist in the air, smiling happily "He was my first friend!" "He has helped me a lot through tough times" Misako insert. "He is..." Riser grunts "A good guy... We all wouldn't be where we are now without him."
Miraya's smile considerably widens when seeing just how much Nawin has helped the group in front of her. She wasn't blind. She can see many eyes shines in admiration and fond when Nawin is mentioned. 'You have many great friends, Nawin.'
"Now," Lucy speaks up, looking at her phone for a moment before placing it away. "We have only five minutes left, therefore" she shifts to Miraya "You should start explaining your plan to them" "Of course."
Miraya looks at the group. "I assumed that all of you are aware that today is Nawin's birthday, yes?" "Yeah..." Issei utters "This morning Rias-san informed all of us that it isn't happening since Nawin-kun hasn't spoken a word on the matter," Senna says, and disappointment is shown clearly on her face. "Why do you bring it up?" Rias asks "Well," Miraya release a warm smile "With a bit of convincing from me and a special someone... Nawin has told me that he wants to have his birthday" "REALLY?!" Misako and Senna both yell in unison, their eyes sparkling while the other is taken by surprise by this news.
Miraya giggles then give a confirming nod. "Yes, he has told it to his family and me." "Then," Kokoro speaks up "This puts us in a tough spot... How are we supposed to get everything ready in time?" "Precisely," Elise nod "It would have been a better choice for him to have informed us earlier" "He made this decision late yesterday," Miraya informs.
Rias looks keenly at the Culdos before opening her mouth "Judging by how calm you are... You have a guaranteed plan in mind?" "Of course," Miraya giggles "After years of not celebrating his birthday. I am making my mission to make this birthday Nawin's best. No matter what, when he returns home this evening... There will be a birthday celebration waiting for him."
"So," Miraya tilts her head "Can I count on all of your cooperation" "Hell Yeah!" Issei explains, pumping his fist forward and grin "If anyone deserves the best birthday possible it will have to be Nawin!" "You said it!" Senna joins "After everything he has done for us! It's time we pay back with the best birthday ever" "Pretty sure all of us fill this way," Xenovia inserts with a smirk.
"Perfect," Miraya nods "Then here's my plan. All of your school schedules hold three breaks, including lunch. So, the plan is when each of the breaks comes, I want a group of you to come to the Ginzo Mall to meet with me. Spiral Mall was an option, but time will be wasted getting there considering it is right at the Center of Kuoh. I plan each of the breaks to be for a specific job. The First Break I want to get the decorations. Lunch Break is of course foods and drinks. And Third Break is the presents."
Miraya smile when seeing everyone is just staring at her with awe. "This is my plan I have come up with last night. For the specific groups to choose to help me with these tasks shall be decided by all of you, since you all know each other better and can debate which people are best suited for the tasks at hand."
"I mean..." Rias thinks for a minute about the plan "It actually could work, but," she looks up at the Culdos "What about the food and more importantly the cake?" "Nawin's Mother and Father shall handle the cooking, and they also informed me they'll have more helping hands so there shouldn't be any concern other that. We get the ingredients and rush back to the house, and they'll handle the rest. Those time-consuming desserts are currently being prep as we speak. And for the cake," Miraya gives a grin "I have already ordered one earlier this morning, and it should be prep by the evening."
"Wow," Issei utters, blinking in amazement "You really got everything set in stone" "I promised Nawin I will give him the best birthday possible," Miraya replies with a warm smile "I am not intending to damage that promise. Especially when it is a promise made toward him." Some can't help but lets out a smile by hearing just how much the Culdos care for Nawin. It's very heartwarming.
"One thing," Rias speak up "Why isn't Akeno present for this? She would be a big help given that she is Nawin-kun's lover." "The reason she isn't here is to hide suspicion," Miraya state and smile teasingly "It would be weird if Nawin is the only person present in his class. So, Akeno-san's assignment is to keep Nawin's attention elsewhere and keep him busy for a few hours after school" "Ah, I see" Rias nod in understanding. She inwardly smiles at the crucial role that's been twisted for the couple. Nawin had that very role when they were handling Akeno's birthday. Now Akeno has that role for Nawin's birthday.
"So," Miraya hops up once and lets out a wide grin "Is there any objection to my plan?" "Nope," "No," "It sounds great!" "Nii-chan deserves this so no" "I think everyone is on board," Rias comment and giggles. Miraya sighs in relief and nods "Thank you, everyone. Please do quickly rush to the Mall as soon as the bell rings" "Also," Asia speaks up "Please don't be too hasty and cause suspicion. You know how Onii-chan is, give him an opening, and he will know something is up" "He knows Miraya has something planned but doesn't know what" Lucy adds "So, it's still important to act normal."
"Aww, look at you," Miraya grins teasingly and ruffles Lucy's hair "You are actually helping instead of lazing around on the couch like in the past" "Ahh!" Lucy glares at the taller woman "Bite me!" "Ehehehe."
"Ahaha," Rias giggles before smiling brightly "I and the rest will quickly discuss who will be suited for the three jobs on the first break. Everyone will be set in groups and will head to the mall to meet up with you, Miraya." "Perfect," Miraya shift to the Gremory and nod. "Now!" Issei raise his right arm up before bringing down in front "Let's lay hands and do this, everyone!" "Yeah!" Senna immediately joins in, followed by Momo. Soon the others quickly join in. "Huh, sure," Riser pulls his right hand out of the pocket and place it over Asia's. "Join in, Miraya!" Issei says, looking at the only person still missing out. "Oh?" Miraya blinks "Are you sure?" "Of course!" Misako replies, grinning joyfully "You are part of our group now! So please join in." The Culdos sees all the smiles directing at her before she nods then steps forward, placing her right hand over Riser's.
"Now!" Issei starts "One!" Everyone shouts, pushing their hands down then up "Two!" "Three!" "LET'S DO THIS!" the group yells and thrust their arms to the air.
Time Skip
After being stealthily snuck out of the school ground. Miraya makes her way to the Ginzo Mall, which is roughly a dozen blocks away from the Academy. "Huh," Miraya release a sigh of relief "Thank goodness that went well," she looks up at the sky with a soft smile dancing on her lip "They all seem like a nice bunch... You really have friends that care for you, Nawin."
"Ehhh, Nawin?!" a rough voice explodes from the right street. Miraya snaps to the direction of the noise and sees a tall and bulky man marching toward her. He wears a shade glasses and a black cap, looking to be in disguise. It didn't take Miraya much to figure that this man is a gang member and judging by the tone she heard earlier from him, he is part of a group that despises Nawin.
The man stops right in front of Miraya and looks down at him. Even the shades can't hide the heating glare behind it. "You a friend of his?!" he asks, sneering "That I am," Miraya utters, remaining calm "Good," a disgusting smirk form on the man's face. "I want you to relay a message to him," "Oh?" Miraya tilts her head "How about instead of asking me to do such a task... Why don't you grow a pair and head into the school to tell him face to face? For a gang member, you sure don't act like one."
"Grrah!" the man snaps and throws a right hand toward the Culdos. Miraya's eyes widen, not expecting the haste action and can only watch as the fist comes toward her face. Then, a hand shoots from the side and intercept the gang's fist. "Uh!" the man gasps in shock and shift toward the right to see Ivory staring at him. Her calm gaze bore into his brown eyes. Miraya merely stares at the unknown girl with a look of stun. 'She's a student of Kuoh?' she takes notes at the familiar school uniform worn by her savior.
"Who the fuck are you!" the man spat, glaring at the blonde beauty. "Not a clown... Such as yourself," Ivory retorts and push the person back, sending him stumbling away by a few steps. The man is caught surprised by the woman's strength, before regaining his furious demeanor. He suddenly throws a high right kick which gets effortlessly block by Ivory lifting her right arm. "You fools are nothing but a bloody brawler," Ivory state, her tone piercing like a spear. She pushes the man's leg away, causing him to tumble to the ground "Get lost."
Ivory turns around to come face to face with Miraya. She then senses movement behind, knowing the man is getting up. "Attack me," Ivory speaks, her tone turns dark "And I'll crack your skull to such a degree that it will render you a brainless clown." The intent and malice poured into that comment sends shivers down the gang member's spine and sets fear in his heart. He truly believes she can successfully follow through that threat. "Y-you're crazy!" he shouts before turning and bolts away from the Sayaka.
Ivory did not bat an eye by the gang member departure. She kept a firm gaze on the Culdos. "Thank you for that," Miraya speaks, giving a soft smile "I honestly did not expect him to outright attack me like that. Especially in such an open area," "People like him don't use their brain" Ivory reply. Miraya was ready to speak but gets stop when Ivory abruptly walks pass her. "You should be more careful... Don't want to worry Nawin Makasha," she states. A look of shock form on the Culdos's face as she glances behind to look at the enigmatic woman. "..." Miraya's expression hardens before she shifts forward and resumes heading to her destination.
Time Skip: Kuoh Academy
"Wonder why Rias rushed out of the classroom like that," Nawin utters, moving through the hallway "Probably had some plans with Issei," Akeno insert, walking beside her lover.
Being assigned to the task of keeping Nawin in the dark was something the Himejima did not mind one bit because it meant she is able to spend more alone time with him. This week the two barely got spent any time together. So, she will make the most of this opportunity before the big celebration happening later today.
"So," Nawin starts, turning to look at the Himejima with a soft smile worn on his face "What do you want to do?" "Hmm?" Akeno blinks at the sudden question. "I realized that I've been spending less time with you this week because of Miraya. So," Nawin reach his right hand out to grasp the Himejima's soft hand "What do you want to do?"
A bright smile form on Akeno's face "Well, before I answer that... Do you think after school, we could go out for a bit?" "Of course," Nawin gives the nod "Where do you want to do this evening?" "Hmm," Akeno thinks for a moment before that bright smile returns to her lip "Well, there's this nice tea and dessert place that recently opened in the neighborhood..." "Alright then," Nawin smile "We shall go there after school. Let's see if their tea is better than yours" he says the last part with a teasing tone which garners a giggle from Akeno "Ehehe, would be a surprise if they can. I can brew up great teas" "Ahaha, your special tea is my favorite so I can't deny that."
"For now," Akeno speaks "Have you brought your Switch today?" "Yes," "Then let's head to the roof and play some Mario Kart!" "Oh," Nawin raise an eyebrow in amusement "Are you taking that yesterday's defeat from Senna personal?" "Yes," Akeno pouts, then a flash of determination appears on her face "After all that taunting and comments she'd thrown... I need to beat her! So," she looks at him with a grin "I can't think of any better teacher than you" "Got it," Nawin chuckles "I'll show you the ropes. You shall be a worthy opponent to Senna by the end" "Ufufufu, I can't wait."
As planned in the morning. When the first break of the day appeared, Rias and the rest of the group met up in front of the Occult Club to get away from all the students and more importantly Nawin's sight, considering he never visits the Club's building in the morning. It is a perfect place for them to discussed Nawin's birthday in a private manner. Rias realized if even a single student caught word that today's is the Makasha's birthday, it could cause chaos with the girls. Rias can picture them rushing out of the school to fetch gifts and sweets then presents them to their crush.
"Oh my god!" Issei screams out which startles many around him "What the hell is wrong?" Xenovia retorts "I think he just realized the dire situation we are in," Kokoro calmly comment. "Well," Lucy speaks up, resting a right hand on her hip "Let's trust in Miraya's plan. If anyone can pull this off, it will be her" "You have a lot of confidence in her, Lucy" Elise state, finding it surprising considering she ever saw the blonde being this supportive to her brother and little sister.
Lucy closes her eyes then opens her mouth. "One thing that I know with absolute certainty about Miraya is that she has and will never fail my brother. I learned this fact in the past. My brother had a theater play he was chosen to perform, and he was one of the main characters. Miraya had fallen gravely ill that week and looked like she was going to miss his performance. That very morning, she was still sick to the point she couldn't even get out of the bed. Then that night when the play was ready to start, I witnessed that sight with my own eyes. Miraya entered the room with crutches and stood there in the aisles for the entire hour to see brother's performance. She watched through that entire play with a supported smile on her face. Even when she was sick and in pain, she still gave brother that smile in support. And it meant the world to Brother and gave him the confidence to be the best part in that play."
Opening her eyes, Lucy sees everyone looking her in shock. She gives a faint smile "That's the length Miraya will go through to give brother happiness. So, after hearing that, can any of you say it with your whole heart that she won't succeed in this towering task?" "... No," Issei utters, shaking his head. "No more doubts!" Asia shouts, flailing her arms around "We need to help Miraya-chan! We need to create the best birthday possible for Onii-chan!" "Yeah!" the group cheers in unison.
Rias smile and turns around to look at everyone "Then lets quickly decide on a group for this first task" she state, taking on the leadership role. 'First is decoration, so' Rias scan through everyone with keen eyes 'Misako without a doubt. So...' "Misako, Senna, Ravel, and Riser. You four should deal with the decorations" "Why me?" Riser asks, "Because there should be at least one boy in the group to help to carry the stuff" "Bah" Riser grunts, unable to retort.
"Just four?" Issei question "Decorations isn't the biggest of job and being honest," Rias leans near her lover's ears "I worry, with too many people it could cause some conflict with ideas. Also, let's not forget Miraya-san will be there. So best we have Misako, Senna, and Ravel who all have good tastes in those things" "... Good point."
"What are you two whispering there," Kokoro asks with narrowed eyes "Nothing, nothing!" Rias moves away and gives an innocent grin. "Anyway," she turns to the group "You four will be great for the job!" she comments before giving a thumbs up.
"By the way," Lucy inserts, stopping beside Asia to take her hand "During the breaks and lunch, Asia and I will be heading to our home to help our parents with the preparation," "Understood," Rias nod, then turns to the decoration group with a grin formed on her face "Now quickly move out, team!" "We have arrived!" Senna proclaimed when exited the taxi and stood in front of the moderately busy mall. "Why am I paying for this?" Riser grunts out, putting his wallet away. "Because you are a rich boy," Senna state with a grin "Not wrong at all," Ravel state with a smirk while Misako merely giggles.
"We could have just wa-" "No time for your whining!" Senna cuts the Phenex and shifts sight to the ground floor of the mall "We got to find Miraya-san and get those decorations" "I agree," Misako stop by the side and nod "We are running on borrowed time. We have approximately Thirty Minutes," "So it is best we finished this in the next Twenty-Five minutes," Ravel joins in, wearing a calculative expression "Since we need to deliver this to the house," "Ah, good point there, Ravel-chan," Misako nod "And we can't return to class late, so we need to be careful with time."
"Now," Senna's shift to the escalator "Let's head up and find Mi-" "Hello," "GAHH!" Senna shriek and hops away by the sudden voice from the side. The rest turn to see Miraya stood there, greeting them all with a warm smile. "Oh, my lord!" Senna rests her right and to her chest and exhales "You scared me there, Miraya-san" "Ehehehe, sorry about that." "Can't believe you didn't see that," Riser comment and gets a glare from the Hinamori "You saw her, and you didn't speak out?!" "Psh, why should I?" "... You are terrible at times."
"Now," Miraya speaks up "I'm sorry to jump in, but we really should get to work with the decorations" "Of course," Misako nod "Have you found a place?" "I have," Miraya smile and turns around "Follow me. The store is on the fourth floor and has everything that involves a variety of themed decorations" "Awesome!" Senna shouts.
As the group stood on the escalator taking them up a floor. Riser was behind and glanced at Miraya with curious eyes. Lucy's words resurface in his mind. Usually, he is cold and distances toward new people, but Miraya is different. Riser can't lie to himself when he says the story Lucy told didn't touch his heart. And seeing this plan, the Culdos is pulling to give Nawin the best birthday possible just shines her in a good light in his eyes.
"So," Riser speaks "Miraya was it?" "Yes," she replies, glancing back and blinks at being called out, "I noticed Nawin seemed to treat today as normal as any day... He hasn't even told us about his change of heart on the birthday matter. So, what's the deal with that? Since you told us he'd been informed that you had a plan for today." Miraya hums for a moment "Well, I don't exactly know why he hasn't told you all about his change in the decision, and for why he's acting normal... Perhaps he didn't take my comment seriously" "Really?" Misako blinks "From you, I thought he would" "Ahaha, well, this is a tall task, isn't it? I can understand his reluctance in believing my words. That's why," Miraya steps off the escalator and head for the next one "It will feel greatly gratifying when I prove him wrong then see that smile appearing on his face."
"Perhaps he truly believes you are going to be able to pull this task off and is just silently waiting," Riser inserts "Ehehe," Miraya giggles "That's kind of you to say. You are right though, that could be a possibility." Ravel glance at her brother with a small look of surprise plastered on her face from his comment. 'Wow,' she turns forward to stare at the Culdos 'She was able to create such an impression to Big Brother.'
A few minutes pass and the group are finally in the store called 'Deco World.' "Besides the weird name," Senna comments, looking at the rows upon rows that are just filled with all kind of stuff involving decorations "This place looks like it has everything!" "So, should we head to the birthday theme area?" Ravel comment, tilting her head. "Not exactly," Miraya speaks, causing all the halt and turn to her, looking confused. "Shouldn't we be in that section?" Misako asks "Of course, but I would prefer if all of you actually think to pick the decorations," Miraya speaks, giving a warm smile "Trust me when I say that if all of you took time to look at all the selection then picked wisely... Like what you think he'd like. It will go a long way instead of just picking anything that has the word Happy Birthday on it."
Misako smile at the Culdos's words "I wouldn't do such a thing, Miraya-san. This is a special day, I will pick the best stuff that will bring a smile to Nawin-kun's face" "Ehehehe, that sounds lovely" Miraya reply with a bright smile. Ravel smirk "I, of course, take time to pick the very highest quality stuff! I shall make that house like so beautiful that it will make most nobles envy!" "I know Nawin-kun's taste well by now," Senna state, grinning "I'll fetch all the good stuff!"
All the girls then turn to Riser, who's been silent the whole time. He grunts at all the stares and just strides toward the birthday selection "Whatever! Just get on with it" he shouts out. Ravel giggles and turn to Miraya "You'll get used to him" she says "Ehehe, first I thought he was going to be worse, but he's not so bad" "Yeah," Senna insert with a teasing smirk "Hang out with him long enough, and you become accustomed to his outbursts."
With nothing else to say and they are running in borrowed time, the girls separate and head off to look for the decorations. The store sells a lot of birthday themed stuff that it has a few rows dedicated to it.
"Hmm," Miraya hums, holding a basket on the right hand while scanning through the variety of decorations laid on the shelf. "Honestly the amount that they sell just for birthday themed alone is a bit frightening," she mutters to herself. Miraya spot a bag containing balloons "Hmm... Ah, this one" she smiles and picks up a bag containing all specific colors that Nawin likes. "Red, Blue, Black, Green, and Orange," Miraya examine the pack carefully, seeing what colors it has. "Red and Black are his favorites... As long as there aren't any blinding bright colors then we are good" she states with a smile and tosses the pack into the basket.
"Let's see," Misako giggles, feeling giddy as she strides through the long shelf displaying the decorations, trying to find something that will catch her eyes. "Oh!" Misako's sapphire blue eyes glisters when spotting a black and red 'Happy Birthday' banner. "Aww, so cute!" she picks up the plastic pack and sees a couple of chibi cats and dogs sticking by the sides while waving forward, all of them grinning cutely. "This will be the perfect banner!" Misako place it on the basket and nod in satisfaction before moving deeper to find more stuff.
"I need to get that one thing which will stand out," Senna mutters to herself, skipping along while the half-filled basket swings around from behind, being held by both hands. "Something that when Nawin-kun sees it, he will know I bought it... Ouh!" Senna halts and her eyes set on a pack that shows a picture of an inflatable cupcake that has the word 'Happy Birthday' written on the icing.
"Ho ho!" Senna grins and picks up the pack to examine the picture closer. "Hey may not like cupcakes, but he does like mines!" she states happily, then nods to herself "This is perfect!"
Twenty minutes pass and everyone meets up at the counter to have their basket go to check out. "Woah," Senna gasp "Ravel-chan, you sure bought a lot," she states, looking at the variety of dark-colored swirls, garlands, and some cool looking wall posture. "I am going big with decorations for Nawin-san" Ravel comment with pride "We never really went big with decoration in Akeno-san's birthday" "That is true."
"Um, Riser-san," Misako speaks, staring at the quiet Phenex "Yeah?" he replies, opening his eyes "You bought only one thing?" "I expected you girls would handle the rest so I got one thing that surely none of you would get." "Well," Miraya stops beside the Ichiru "You are right about us not getting that." "Yeah," Misako release a sheepish chuckle "I don't think we need a Pinata..." "Hold on," Miraya speaks up before Riser could give a response.
A smile form on the Coldos's lip "That's actually a good idea, Riser-san," she states, turning to look at him "Nawin has never hit a Pinata before, and I think that's something he would like to check off the list." "Hah," Riser smirk, happy that his idea is approved, "Told you I got this," "You clearly thought a lot about this, Big brother" Ravel comment with a teasing smirk.
Riser's fluster look immediately greets the girls. He quickly turns around and clicks his tongue in annoyance "Like hell!" "Ehehehe," both Misako and Senna giggle while Miraya and Ravel wear an amusing smirk.
"So," Misako turns to Miraya "After this, we head to Nawin-kun's home to drop off the decorations?" "Yes," Miraya nod "That's the plan. Then all of you rush back to school while I return to the Mall. It's quite big, so I still haven't visited the food market yet," "Understood. Make sure to eat lunch, Miraya-chan! You need those energy" "Ehehe, thank you for the reminder, Misako-san."
Time Skip
"Miraya Culdos..." the specific name escapes the lip of Issei as he enters the Ginzo Mall while wearing a profound thought expression. Following behind him are Akame, Koneko, Gasper, Kokoro, and Momo. They are the group Rias organized to deal with Foods. Keeping in mind that all the girls and Gasper are knowledgable in that very subject and are great cooks.
Kokoro sends an amusing glance to her King. "You developing a bit of a crush for her?" "Not exactly," Issei replies "It's just... I get it now, why Nawin was so different for the past few days. Being reunited with a person like that... It's a feeling that can't really be expressed by words alone. I may be an idiot at times, but" he gives a sincere smile "Even I can see just how much Miraya-san cares for Nawin. And with how he's been acting lately, Nawin cares for her to the same extent."
Everyone was surprised by the Hyoudou words but agreed with him wholeheartedly. Even though none of them had seen the two interact yet. They can already just feel and comprehend how much Nawin and Miraya care for one another. It's a bond that honestly resonates with them. It is a special bond that many never expected Nawin ever to have considering the way he used to be.
"Nawin-kun has changed..." Akame speaks, which immediately has everyone's attention "And for the better in my opinion. He's happy... Happiest I ever have seen of him, and it's thanks to Miraya-san." "That's why we need to help her," Koneko adds, her gold orbs gleams in determination "We need to make this the best birthday possible for Nii-chan" "He deserves it" Gasper comment, also showing determination on the task.
Issei lets out the grin and nod in agreement "It's good to see everyone shares the determination!" he exclaims then turn forward "Now, let's find Miraya-san!"
"Well..." Kokoro speak up as Issei was ready to take the first step "Huh?" he turns to look at her "We don't need to look far," she comments then point to the right. Everyone's eyes follow the pointed direction to see Miraya seated at an outdoor cafe, enjoying some biscuits and a chocolate milkshake while reading a book. "... Oh," Issei blinks then chuckles sheepishly "At least we don't have to waste time finding her" "We have an hour so don't need to rush like mad," Momo state with a soft smile "That is true."
Miraya turns to the next page before bringing a glass of milkshake near. She takes the straw and silently sips the delicious and rich drink while focusing on the story being unfold from the page. "Greetings!" Issei pops from the right and shouts, startling the Culdos and cause the Milkshake to slip off her hand. Everyone's eyes widen as they see the drink falling in slow motion, ready to splatter all over the girl. Then, a hand shoots from the side and catch the glass before it could cause damage.
Miraya blinks and glances to the left to see Akame holding her drink. "Oh, thank goodness," she gives a grateful smile "Thank you, Akame-san... That could have been a disaster" "It's ok," the Knight simply reply and leans back, placing the glass down on the table. Kokoro stops beside her King then wallops his head "GAHHH!" "Idiot!" she scolds "Don't just appear and scare someone like that! Especially when they are engrossed in whatever they are doing!" "S-Sorry," Issei apologies then bows his head to the Culdos.
Miraya shakes her head "It's fine, just learn from your mistakes," "You're lucky she is kind," Kokoro comment, looking at the flustered Hyoudou with stern. "Mama Kokoro in action again," Koneko state "Ehehehe," Gasper and Momo giggle at the joke. "Psh," Issei stifle his laugh from escaping when seeing Kokoro glaring at the smirking Rook.
"Now," Miraya speaks up, gaining attention "The primary food market here is on the top floor. It's a huge one that will have everything we need" "What dishes are going to be prepared?" Momo question. Miraya puts away the book in her bag, zipping it shut before turning to the rest "Nawin's favorite of course. Appetizers will be Buffalo wings, Mash Potatoes, Meatballs, and Garlic Bread. The main course will be Lamb Chops, Pizzas, Salmon Fillets, and Fried Rice. We don't have to worry with desserts."
"Nii-chan sure has a variety tastebud," Gasper state, giggling while Koneko nod in agreement "That's Nii-chan... He's never boring." "Nii-chan?" Miraya turns to the youngest pair of the group with a gentle smile "May I ask why you two address Nawin as Nii-chan?" she politely asks. "W-well," Gasper is the first to speak, which catch the group by surprise, expecting Koneko to be the one to answer "Nawin-Nii-chan is an a-amazing person... H-He has helped me a-and my friends s-so much. H-He's like a caring Big brother!" he exclaims the last part loudly, his face flush. Koneko merely gives a nod of approval, agreeing with her best friend.
A more prominent smile form on Miraya's lip. "I see," she says while picking up the remaining two biscuits from the plate "Here, you two." Koneko and Gasper accept the biscuit then look up at the girl, seeing her beaming at them "I am confident it makes Nawin really happy that you two thinks of him in such a pleasant way." The Culdos's words bring a smile to both Koneko and Gasper.
The others just stare at the scene with a warm smile on their faces. Amaze at just how well the Culdos is able to get along with everyone. 'She's really something else,' Issei utters in his mind.
"Now," Miraya slaps her hands together and grins "Let's head up, shall we?" "We have lots to buy so best we head there now," Momo state, nodding. "Wait," Issei speaks up, gaining everyone's attention "What do we do for lunch?" "We can eat here, of course," Miraya replies, giggling "After shopping, we can find a restaurant and have lunch there, then depart to the house" "Sounds like a plan," Kokoro comment.
Elsewhere
"Say Aaahhh," Akeno urge "Not happening," Nawin replies with an amusing smirk before silently opening his mouth to allow a piece of chicken to enter his mouth. Akeno giggles and pulls the chopstick away, watching Nawin chews the food before swallowing it.
The couple is seated in a quiet area of the courtyard of the school for lunch. Resting underneath the tree that shades them away from the sun. As it seems to be the theme today. Nawin and Akeno are spending exclusive time together. Enjoying each other's company in peace.
"It's been a while since we had lunch together like this," Nawin notes and release a calm sigh "Yeah," Akeno nods in agreement and rest shoulders with her lover "It's nice... Just the two of us." The couple enjoys a moment of silence while moderately eating their lunch. "Did you make this?" Nawin asks, looking at his lunchbox "Ufufufu, yes" Akeno nods, smiling with pride "Do you like it?" "It's delicious" Nawin gives a warm smile "Even though the school's cafeteria food isn't bad. I much prefer eating this," "Ufufufu, I'm thrilled to hear that."
"... Akeno," Nawin starts off, placing the chopstick down "Yes?" she turns to look at him, "I want to ask you something that's been on my mind ever since yesterday" "Ask away," Akeno replies, giving a supportive smile. Nawin shifts his sight to look at his lover in the eyes "Why was it when I showed up at the house yesterday with Miraya... You appeared beyond shocked. Like you knew her." The smile on the Himejima's face shatters and replace with a look of shock from the unexpected question.
'Of course,' Akeno thinks, grimacing 'Of course he'd noticed. Things usually never get past him.' "Please, Akeno," Nawin utters, grasping her hand and give a soft squeeze "I won't be angry. I just want to know the truth. I saw that look in your eyes. You knew who Miraya was the moment you entered the hallway."
Akeno looks up to her lover's eyes and gives a small nod. "Beginning of this week, when you had to leave to see Miraya since she sent you that letter," Akeno starts, remembering Nawin telling her that fact yesterday after seeing the Culdos off. "... I was looking through your closet to tidy up your clothes, and I spotted-" "Her photo," Nawin softly insert, while Akeno gives the nod to confirm. "I was curious and took a closer look to see Miraya on it... It wasn't hard for me to put all the puzzles together to know that the girl in the picture was the person you lost in the past."
In the Himejima's mind shows confliction. She has more to say. That being the conversation she overheard between Lucy and Asia that night. She can't decide if she wants to tell it, because of the numbers of things said in that conversation that deep down annoyed and angered her.
"... So that's why I was shocked when I saw her for the first time," Akeno informs "I see..." "Y-You aren't mad, are you?" she quickly asks, getting anxious. Then, Akeno sees a warm and caring smile form on the Makasha's face. He pulls her in to give a soft kiss on the forehead before pulling back. "Come now," Nawin chuckles "I won't be mad at such a simple thing. You found the photo by accident. Though I would have preferred, you'd told me yesterday instead of me asking" "Sorry..." "It's ok, all in the past now."
Akeno smiles and leans forward to have her forehead touch with the Makasha's. "Nawin-kun," she whispers, closing her eyes to get the most feel of her lover's warmth "Hmm?" "I love you," "I love you too, Akeno" he replies with a loving smile. Hearing that set the Himejima's heart at ease. That feeling of worry and insecure from yesterday fades away entirely. Just listening to those words uttered from Nawin's mouth and heard how sincere it is gives nothing but absolute happiness to Akeno. No one else can ever give her this feeling.
Time Skip: Ginzo Mall
"A burger, really?" Kokoro gives a blank stare to her King, watching him grinning with joy like a child, staring at the freshly cooked meal placed in front of him. "Come on," Issei turns to look at her "I haven't had a burger in over a month! Give me a bit of a break" "What did you have for breakfast this morning?" "Oatmeal..." "You sure?" Kokoro asks and leans close to look at her King straight in the eyes. Issei sweat a bit by the intense look before giving a swift nod "Of course!" "Hmm," Kokoro leans back and nod "Good."
"Mama Kokoro," Koneko comment, munching on a meatball in the spaghetti she ordered. "Stop calling me that!" Kokoro retorts, glaring at the young girl "Ehehehe," Momo giggles "I actually find it sweet that you have that much care for Issei-san's health, Kokoro-can" she state. The Queen click her tongue and cock her head to the side "He asked me to help him," she grumbles as a faint blush form on her cheek.
Koneko rolls her eyes at the Tsundere attitude displaying from Kokoro. All the while Issei is too oblivious to this fact as he is busy munching down on some french fries. "They actually look cute together," Koneko whispers to Gasper, who giggles and nod in agreement "They really do."
Momo turns to Miraya, who's been silently eating her chicken salad. "Is that everything we need, Miraya-san?" she question, glancing at the trolly cart stationed beside their table, filled with plastic bags containing every ingredient needed. "Well," Miraya pulls out the receipt and rolls it down. Everyone pauses to look at the slip continuously roll until it stops on the other side of the table "Yes... I think that's everything we need, and more" "Damn," Issei chuckles "Guess we went a bit overboard."
"It's fine," Miraya finished rolling the receipt up and puts it away in her bag "Better have more than less. There is going to be a lot of guess for this birthday" "Do you know who?" Kokoro asks, curious to see how much the Culdos knows. "Yao says that there will be numbers of guest. Friends of her and Jonathan" Miraya answers. The devils at the table can guess that means Sirzech, Grayfia, Gabriel, Azazel, and more that attended Akeno's birthday will also be present here.
'Hopefully, everyone can stay silent about supernatural subjects,' Issei thinks, chewing on his food while glancing at Miraya 'Along with Senna and Momo, Miraya is also human... Right, Ddraig?' Kokoro passes the phone to the Culdos, who blinks but takes it. "Hello," "Miraya?" "Yes, I'm here." "I just picked this up. It's about your plan with the presents. While the group and I will head out later the day to pick up the presents. What about the others? I doubt it's good that we pick a present for them" "Of course that wouldn't be wise," Miraya speaks. "I guess I kind of forgot to inform you all of this. So, the plan is that the last group will head out with me to go pick their presents, which will have them set free for the rest of the afternoon. So, what I thought best is that all the people that have already purchased their presents will immediately head to Nawin's house to help his family prepare everything. Cooking, Decorating, wrapping the gifts, and so on. While the others that haven't bought the presents will rush out to get them" "Ah, so we will have a group that is ready to head to the house after school and begin setting everything up before the rest joins in" "Exactly," "That's a great plan, Miraya. Thanks for clearing things up" "Ehehe, it's no problem at all. See you this afternoon" "Yep, see ya."
"Wow," Kokoro utters in impressed as she takes the phone back "You really thought this through," "Ehehehe," Miraya giggles and gives a gentle smile "Of course I did. I did promise Nawin that this birthday will be the best one" "Looks like you'll be keeping that promise" Issei state with a grin while the rest nod in agreement.
"Glad to see all the vote of confidence," Miraya state with relief "Being honest... Even though I am staying optimistic, I still have some doubts, but everything so far is moving along smoothly. Because," Miraya gives a warm smile to everyone at the table "All of you share the determination to make this birthday the best one possible for Nawin" "Of course we do," Issei state "He deserves it."
"He does," Miraya nod "Very much so." "Well, with that cleared up," Kokoro start, grabbing a fork to dig into her spaghetti "Let's finish our meal and head out to the house with all the ingredients. We still have a way to go before the big celebration" "Right," Momo nods "Our job isn't done just yet."

"Now it's our turn!" Xenovia exclaims as she along with the rest exits the bus that drops them just a block away from the Spiral Mall. Rias has decided it is best to purchase the presents at the biggest mall in Kuoh so everyone can look for what they want to get for the Makasha without running to a risk of not finding it.
Joining Xenovia are Rias, Yuuto, Elise, and Wendy. "You are awfully excited," Yuuto state, stopping beside his girlfriend "This is a big day," Xenovia replies with a grin "Of course I would be excited, aren't you?" "Ahaha, I certainly am. Especially after we thought this birthday wasn't happening." "Will we have enough time, Rias?" Elise asks, "We could be late returning to school" "Don't worry," the Gremory gives a reassure smile "If we are running out of time then we can just teleport there. Everyone in this party holds knowledge of the supernatural world" "What about Young Wendy?" "I'll just take her to the Academy in the air" "Ek!" Wendy lets out a squeak by the idea.
Rias blink and turn to the young girl "Are you afraid of heights, Wendy?" she asks and receives a shaky nod "Oh," Rias smiles "It's fine then. Let's go get the presents so we can return to the Academy on time, and in a normal fashion, ok?" Wendy sighs in relief and nod "A-alright."
Without another word, the group makes way to the Spiral Mall. It didn't take them any longer than five minutes before they entered through the doors and stood inside the Massive Seventh Floor Mall. The area is only now starting to get busy, with it being the afternoon. But not to such a scale it'll cause trouble navigating.
"So," Rias stop in front of the group then points up "It's best we split up and go look for our choice of presents. The second floor and on upwards should have everything we need." "Thanks for the information, Rias-san," a new voice joins, which cause everyone to turn around. All gasps in shock when seeing Irina striding toward them, wearing a gentle grin.
"Irina!" Xenovia exclaims with a smile and rush toward her friend. "Eeh!" Irina squeak when she is pulled into a giant hug that lifts her off the ground. "G-good to see you again, Xenovia-chan," the Angel utters out, returning the gesture to her longtime friend. "Don't squeeze her too hard there, Xenovia" Yuuto advise, stopping by the side while chuckling.
Xenovia pulls Irina back and wears a sheepish grin. "Sorry about that, it's just great to see you again" "Ehehe, it's fine, really" Irina replies, giving a reassure smile "We don't see each other often, so a nice reunion like this is always welcome to me." "A nice reunion indeed," Rias comment, stopping beside her Knights "But, I wasn't expecting you here, Irina-san. I thought you would appear just before the celebration starts" "Ahaha, that was the original plan. But, Gabriel-sama wanted to arrive early to help Nawin-kun's parents with cooking and preparation. She is very determined to make this birthday the best it can be." "Therefore," Elise smile "She shares the same mindset as us. That is great to hear" "Well, she is Nawin-kun's Godmother," Irina state, giggling "She would want the best for him."
"T-then you are h-here to find Nawin-kun's present?" Wendy question "Yep!" Irina nod "Spiral Mall is the biggest shopping mall in Kuoh, so there's no better place than here" "Do you know what to get?" Xenovia asks, and Irina's bright expression goes downwards "I don't know" she mutters in depression.
"Please don't go overthinking it," another voice joins the group, and everyone shifts toward the right to see Miraya making way towards them. "Hm?" Irina blinks by the stranger's sudden appearance, watching her stop beside Rias while wearing a warm smile. "Ah, Miraya-san" Rias greet the girl with a friendly grin, "I thought you were running late" "I was merely looking around," Miraya answers "Spiral Mall is still new to me, so I have yet to explore everything it has to offer" "I see."
"Oh," Irina's eyes gleam "Are you Miraya Culdos?" she asks, "That I am," Miraya gives a gentle smile, "And you are?" "Irina Shidou, a pleasure to meet you." The two exchange a friendly handshake. "How do you know her?" Xenovia ask, looking at her friend "Yao-san informed Gabriel-sama and I about the situation, and how Nawin-kun has changed his mind on the matter involving his birthday."
Irina suddenly gives a bow to Miraya, a gesture that surprises everyone. "Thank you," she speaks, leaning back up while wearing a bright smile "For convincing him to celebrate this special day. When I heard that he hasn't celebrated his birthday for so long, I was horrified. However, you were able to convince him to finally diverge from that mindset. You have my deepest gratitude... If anyone deserves an amazing birthday filled with joy it will be him."
The Angel's words bring a smile to everyone's face while Miraya looks slightly taken aback by just how genuine those words were. 'Irina Shidou...' A warm and sincere smile form on the Culdos's face. "I think we will get along well, Irina-san" "I hope so," Irina replies with a grin.
"I hate to interrupt, but" Rias checks her wristwatch "We are running on time, so all of us should start getting a move on before the break ends." "Then let's all split up and meet back in this spot during the next Fifteen minutes" Miraya comment, taking charge. "That sounds good," Xenovia nod "Fifteen minutes should be enough" Yuuto state. "Well..." Irina mutters, unconvinced she can find the right present in such a time "Hmm," Miraya stare at the Shidou. "Irina, would you like to accompany me on the search?" she offers "P-Pardon?" "It may help for you to discuss with another person on the ideal present you have in mind. I can offer you some advice if you require."
A smile of relief form on Irina's face, she nods "That sounds great! Thank you, Miraya-san" "Not a problem at all." "Alright then," Rias speaks, turning around and heads for the escalator while waving back at the group "See all of you back here. Go pick the best present possible!" With a nod toward each other, the group scatters throughout the Spiral Mall.
Time Skip
Even though it was a race through time. Rias, Xenovia, Yuuto, Wendy, and Elise were able to all fetch their gifts in the nick of time. But, just barely. Hence thanks to Miraya's wise suggestion. Rias and the rest handed their presents to her and Irina, for them to take to the house while the rest of them rushed back to School before the last break of the day ended.
After exiting the bus. Both Miraya and Irina are currently walking through the peace neighborhood to reach the Makasha Household. Each girl split the share of bags to carry. "I hope Rias-san and the rest got back to their classes in time," Irina wonders out loud "They had roughly six minutes and took the cab. So, I believe they made it just in time" Miraya answers in a confident tone.
Irina throws a glance to a specific bag that held her present, an action that didn't go by the Culdos. "Irina-san," "Y-Yeah?" "Are you not satisfied with the present you picked?" "W-well," Irina stutters, wanted to speak more but trying to find the right words to use so she wouldn't insult Miraya, who helped her pick out the present. "Irina," Miraya speaks, wearing a gentle smile "You don't have to go big for Nawin. Don't think you have to spend an incredible amount of money on a gift and believe that will make him happy. He isn't that kind of person," "I know that" Irina replies "I know you do, but that thought is still at the back of your mind because you really want him to enjoy your present. Trust me on this, what you bought will make him very happy. A sentimental and thoughtful item is worth more than something that simply has a bigger price tag."
Miraya's wise words are able to wipe away the feeling of uncertainty in the Shidou. A bright grin makes way to Irina's lip. "You are right, Miraya-san. Nawin-kun will love it" "He most certainly will," Miraya gives a warm smile "Though, I am glad you had those worries, Irina-san" "Why?" "Because it shows you truly care for his feelings. Witnessing that alone already paint you under a wonderful light in my eyes" "Ehehe," Irina just bashfully giggles as a blush form on her cheeks "W-well, I do care for him" "Ahaha, I know, Irina-san."
"... May I ask you something, Miraya-san?" Irina speaks, her tone turns soft "Of course," "You and Nawin were together in the past, no?" "Together?" Miraya blinks "You mean as a couple?" "Yes," "We were in a way. Nawin and I loved each other dearly. To a point when one year before my death... Nawin told me that he would marry me when we were at a legal aged. It honestly hit me really hard when he told me that" "Why?" Irina asks, shocked "Because deep down I knew my sickness could resurface at any moment. At that year I was miraculously healthy and barely gotten sick. I believed Nawin saw that as a sign that my sickness was slowly disappearing then made that statement. The thought of not being with him till that day pained me dearly... And as I told you, that worry came to fruition."
"H-how do you do it?" Irina asks, her expression sadden "After returning to him... How do you not feel pain when you see him with someone else? Especially after Nawin said those words." Miraya is surprised by the Shidou's words, "I do feel pain, Irina" she says, causing the other girl to look at her and sees the sad smile she wears. "But I can't be selfish, and this isn't some foolish talk to say I am entirely a selfless person. No one is. But, when it comes to Nawin, I can't bring myself to be selfish... Especially when he is feeling happy with where he is. I lost him the day I died in that bed. Then with my death, I gave him nothing but pain and grief that he carried on for years. Truthfully... I do not deserve him."
"That's not true!" Irina shouts as she stops still. Miraya is left speechless by the sudden outburst, looking straight at the Shidou with wide-eyed. "We may have just met, but I can see you care very much for Nawin-kun! More than anyone! All this plan today is possible because of you! Nawin-kun wants to finally celebrate his birthday because of you! So, please... Don't say that you don't deserve him... Because you absolutely do!"
Irina gulps in air to her lungs after the outburst then looks up to see Miraya looking at her with a warm smile, her eyes gleam in gratitude and happiness. "Irina-san," Miraya starts "Thank you very much for that. Hearing what you said... It really meant a lot" "I'm just stating the truth," Irina replies with a bright grin. Miraya stare at the Shidou for a moment then opens her mouth to speak "You know, Irina-san... You and Nawin would make a lovely couple" she comments, "Y-You really think so?" Irina stutters out, her face flushed "Very much so."
Miraya turns forward and resumes walking. "Now, let's continue. There's still a lot of stuff that still has to be done" "Of course." Irina regains her composure and follows. The girls continue to their destination, feeling that they have formed a new bond between one another that will grow over time.
Time Skip
"Boooo! I just want to go home! Get out of here!" Farah shouts at a group of five bandits dressed in heavy leather armor. All the men are glaring at the twins with utter hatred. With the school over, Farah and Silver decided to head straight home on their secret route that keeps them away from public eyes. But, as they reached the empty grass field, they are ambushed by a group of nameless bandits.
"Where is your Leader!" one of the men step forward and shouts in a demanding tone. "Leader?" Silver repeat, tilting her head while her expression remains stoic, not showing the least concern about the situation they are in. "You mean Ivory?" Farah asks, grinning like a child. "Ahaha, you must be mistaken. There's no rank system going on here in our little group. We aren't like you guys who need to be whipped by their Leader to accomplish things in life."
"You bitch!" a bandit scream, enraged by the girl's words and quick throws a dagger. Farah gasp in shock and the weapon nails her in the forehead, piercing into her brains and sends her tumbling backward to the ground. "Ahahahaha!" the men burst out laughing "That's what you fucking get!" "Shit talking at us, aye!? Death is what you deserve!" all of them continue to throw insults at the corpse. Blood seeps down Farah's forehead and paints the grass, her eyes roll upwards to a horrifying degree.
"Shut the hell up," Silver's comment cause the bandits to halt their laughter and turn to her "Aye?!" one of them step forward and pull a dagger out "You want to join your twin? We will gladly kill you as we did her!" "Kill?" Silver raises her perfect eyebrow "You are mistaken... She's very much alive." "HOWDY!" Farah leans in front of her sister, entering the bandits' sight while giving them a grin and wave.
"W-what?!" all the bandit voice in utter stun, watching the bright girl that was dead seconds ago stood there beside Silver. Alive and well, while holding the dagger that supposedly killed her in the left hand. "You bandits sure have soft skin," Farah state, rolling the dagger around her fingers "A little truthful comment like that and you get all angry. Throwing a dagger at a little girl like me... What men you are."
Farah's comment irks the bandits, and one of them charge forward in a blind rage, drawing a long sword. "I will fucking slice you bitch!" he shouts, aiming the weapon ahead. Suddenly, a sound of gunshot booms around the field and a bullet speed from the right, heading straight toward the bandit's head and pierce right through it. The man that was ready to attack the twin stumbles forward before crumbling to the earth, rendered dead.
The bandits snap to the side and see Ivory standing a few meters in the distance. A custom design black pistol held on her right hand, smoke pours out from the barrel as the Blonde Beauty puff the cigarette placed on her mouth.
"YOU!" one of the bandit howls, glaring at the Sayaka "You ar-" "Yeah, shut up," Ivory cuts in, resting the rather large pistol on her shoulder "Where is your boss?" she asks, then looks behind the bandits that shows a dense forest "He must be in there." Ivory makes way to her friends, blatantly ignoring the bandits. "All of you turn your arse around and bring that wanker here... He is craving for revenge, right?" Ivory stops beside Farah, who is just grinning in excitement while Silver remains monotone.
One of the men step forward and draw a two-handed axe. "He doesn't nee-" the man is cut off when Ivory aims the gun forward and unload a barrage of bullets. The dozens upon dozens of bullets enter the man's chest, legs, arms, head, and every other part of the body. After a minute straight of shooting, Ivory release the trigger and watch the bullet-sponge of a corpse collapse forward to the ground. The bandits back away in fear after watching their comrade been brutally killed in front of their eyes.
Ivory brings the pistol down and looks at the forest. "Get your arse out here! Either you do that or get the fuck out of here with your little minions" she shouts, starting to get annoyed at waiting.
Out of nowhere, a hand pop out from the earth and snatch Ivory's ankle. Farah and Silver immediately jump back as a huge figure burst from the ground then lift Ivory up before slamming her down on the earth in a relentless manner. "AHHHHH!" a deep and rough voice scream from inside the dust before slamming the Sayaka down one last time in such a force that the whole field rumble.
When the dust clears, it shows a tall and muscular man standing over the Sayaka. He dons a light steel armor while leaving the helmet. He is a rough looking man with a bald head, bright green eyes, and a hideous scar running across his nose.
"I finally found you!" the man roars, glaring down at the blonde "Now I will avenge my brother! You cold-blooded murderer!" "Ehehe," a chuckle escape from Ivory's lip as she opens her eyes to look up at the man "Murderer? I have killed plenty of people but me dealing with your disgusting brother is one of the good things on my resume" "Y-you!" the man shouts in a fury then brings both of his large hands down at the woman.
Ivory snatch the pistol laid beside her and fire to precise bullets to each of the hand. "Garh!" the man grunts in pain, feeling the bullets entering his flesh which cause his movement to halt. Ivory uses the opening to lift her body up then pushes off the ground, backflipping in midair then sticks the perfect landing a few meters away from the large man.
"You stupid human!" the man screams "You are loud as your brother," Ivory state, resting the pistol on her shoulder "But, you're still not as loud as him when he started begging for his pathetic life." "KILL THAT SON OF A BITCH!" the Leader orders his men to attack all at once in a fit of rage.
The bandits did not hesitate and drew out their weapons. With a battle cry, all of them launch toward the Sayaki at once. "Silver," Ivory calls out. And with a flick of her finger, the oldest of the twin summons a massive claymore out of thin air. The sword comes falling down upon Ivory before she skillfully catches it in a precise moment, clutching the plain-looking grip, then aims the weapon forward to the incoming group.
"Get lost," Ivory utters at the incoming attackers. The claymore's guard design is a disturbing image of human facial features. Its closed eyes suddenly open to reveal the gleaming and cold blue orbs, its mouth snap wide and blue magic pours out from it, enveloping the entire blade. "... Sapphire Slash," Ivory utters and brings the sword over her head before swinging it down with one hand in freakish speed.
A booming sound of explosion erupts as the entire field gets cover in a world of blinding blue light. The bandit's cries of horror could not be heard as they watch the humongous blue light wraps their whole being. Erasing their existence away from life.
When the light dies down, the nameless Leader of the bandits stares on in utter mortified, seeing the spot where his men once stood has now rendered into nothing but rubbles, ashes, and burnt grass. He couldn't even register what happened. All he saw was a blinding light then the next thing he knows is that all his men were slaughtered by a single move.
"Y-you," the man speaks and shifts to Ivory. She has not moved an inch. The claymore rests on her shoulders as she observes the destruction her attack left behind. "You're not human!" "I get that a lot," she replies, her cold blue orbs shift toward the man "Believe whatever you will. I don't care."
"Now," Ivory brings the claymore up and stabs it to the ground, then throws the pistol toward the sharp crossguards to have it hang there. "You want to end this stupid game? I killed your brother, and you come after me" "You think this is a game?!" the man howls in fury "You murdered my brother!" "Your psychotic brother who took pleasure in assaulting underaged girls then rapes them" Ivory retorts, her expression drift to disgust "I saw his crime in the bounty book. An evil fiend he is" "And what are you?!" the man shouts then charges forward "You are far from innocent!"
"You are right," Ivory speaks. "DIE!" the man sees an opening and blasts his large right arm forward, connecting perfectly at the side of the woman's face. The earth around them cracks then implode by the force behind the punch. "... Urgh!" the man gasps in shock when seeing Ivory remain at the same position, looking straight to his eyes, with his fist plant on the side of her face.
"I am a lesser evil," Ivory state and brings her right hand upwards to deliver an uppercut but she never touches the man. Out of nowhere, a massive hole explodes through the bandit's abdomen. "Gaaaaahhh!" the man screams in agony and stumbles back, staring down at his missing stomach in sheer shock. He starts vomiting out tons of blood before collapsing to his knees.
"Hehehe," Farah skips her way to Ivory and stops on the right, grinning down at the dying man. "Just so you know," she speaks "Ivory wasn't even using her sacred gear! Kyahahaha, you, Mr. Devil have just been defeated by a mere human." "I-impossible," he whispers out, staring up at Ivory with wide eyes.
With her eyes closed and no words to utter, Ivory turns around and heads to the direction of her home. "Bye, bye!" Farah gives a wave at the devil before skipping away. Silver flicks her finger to have both the claymore and pistol fade out of existence. She looks at the man and sees him on the verge of death doors. "Sometimes revenge is worth it... Unfortunately, not for you," Silver state before following her sister and friend.
Elsewhere
"Both your orders will be ready shortly," the teenage boy says, collecting the menu then gives a bow before heading off. Nawin rolls his eyes while Akeno giggles. The couple is seated at a booth, facing one another. "People just can't keep their eyes off you," Nawin state "Ufufufu," Akeno giggles "Believe it or you have it worse, Nawin-kun" "I do?" "Yep," Akeno wears a grin "You just don't pay attention to it, but I do. And," Akeno's grin shift to one of a tease, "I noticed that you pay more attention to when boys look at me."
Nawin thinks about this for a moment and sees the truth in that statement. A chuckle escapes his lip. "Guess that makes sense. Couples will always keep a close eye on anyone gawking their lover" "Shows that you are also a bit of a jealous type, Nawin-kun" Akeno points out, giggling. "I don't have to be jealous, Akeno" Nawin state, which catches the Himejima's attention.
Wearing a warm smile, the Makasha continues "I trust you, so why is there a need for me to be jealous? Of course, if a person invades your personal space, I will be there to knock them out, but that's a different subject." "Well," Akeno smile sheepishly "Even though I whole-heartedly trust you, Nawin-kun... I can't stop being jealous at times" "Ahaha, I know." Nawin reaches his right arm forward to grasps Akeno's hand. "Don't worry about that, it's normal for you to be jealous at times. It's just who you are. But, I have seen you have matured a lot recently, compared to when we first start out." Nawin lets out a teasing smirk "You no longer glare a hole through a random girl's head when they would decide to strike a conversation with me" "Ahaha," Akeno burst out laughing.
Looking at her lover with much love, Akeno brings her other arm forward to hold Nawin's other hand. "I never said this, but... Thank you, Nawin-kun" she says, "For what?" the Makasha asks, blinking "For being patient with me," Akeno answers with a soft and grateful smile "I know I wasn't the easiest girlfriend to deal with when we started going out. I looked back and saw many errors I made... But even through all that you still stuck by my side. You continue to brighten my day no matter what even though I was at times selfish... So, thank you, Nawin-kun" Akeno gives a heartwarming smile "For continuing to stay with me."
"Akeno..." Nawin whisper, stunned by his lover's sudden confession. "Why are you telling me this?" "Because..." Akeno stops for a moment as an image of Miraya appears in her mind. She looks at the Makasha and gives a warm smile "I felt like it's something I should have said earlier. I don't want you to think I take this relationship for granted."
"You idiot," Nawin shakes his head and holds a firm grip around the Himejima's hand. "You really worry too much at times," he states, wearing a gentle and caring smile. "Akeno, I stick with you this long because I love you. You know me... If our spark had faded, then I would end the relationship. I wouldn't want to waste your or my time. But our spark has not withered and instead it grows over time. So," Nawin pulls Akeno right hand towards him and give a soft kiss on the knuckle "Don't worry. I love you, Akeno Himejima" "I love you too, Nawin Makasha" she whispers, her eyes turning glossy "Very much," "I know, love, I know."
Not long after, the Waiter returns with a tray carrying a set of hot brew tea with two beautifully design cups along with a large plate containing a variable amount of delicious looking biscuits. He carefully set everything down on the table then gives a warm smile to Akeno, blatantly ignoring Nawin. "Hope you enjoy it" "Thanks," Akeno replies, her eyes firmly set at the gorgeous cups.
The Waiter looks a bit disappointed before turning around, ready to walk to another table. "Hey, fuckface," Nawin speaks up, prompting the worker to halt while Akeno blinks and looks up to see a mischief smirk worn on her lover's face. She silently giggles and enjoys the scene. The Waiter turns around to see Nawin glancing back at him, his brown eyes gleam in menace "Focus on serving the customers and treating them properly instead of ogling at someone's girlfriend. If I catch you doing that again then I will knock your teeth so far down your body that you'll need to shove a toothbrush up your arse to brush them" "Gah-ahh!" the Waiter squeals from the threat and immediately hightail away from the booth.
"Ahahaha!" Akeno burst out laughing, holding her stomach "H-his face! He was so horrified." "Honestly," Nawin shakes his head "Had the nerve to gawk at you openly but runs away pissing his pants when I throw in a threat. What a joke." "Ufufufu," Akeno giggles before sending a wink "Not everyone is as gutsy as you, Nawin-kun" "Mhm-hmm."
Akeno gently takes the handle of the teapot and start pouring into Nawin's cup first before moving on to hers. "Smells good," Nawin comment, bringing the cup in front of his face. "That's a good sign," Akeno inform, placing the hot pot down. As she is ready to grab the cup, Akeno feels her phone vibrate. Knowing that this is an important notification, Akeno pulls the phone out and open the screen to see a text from Rias.
'Bad news, Akeno. We are a bit behind schedule. Everyone has just returned with their presents and are all working hard to set everything up. It's going to be a close one, so try to keep Nawin-kun away from the house a bit longer.' This news is not what Akneo wanted to hear, now nervousness sets in her. She wants today to be a fantastic day for Nawin. One that he will never forget. 'Alright,' the Himejima place her phone away and nod to herself 'Looks like I'll have to come up with some other plan after this. It all depends on me now... If I bring Nawin-kun back early when nothing is done yet, then all of this is ruined.'
Makasha Household
"Come on people!" Rias shouts, throwing her phone to the ground and look at the living room to see everyone scattered all over the place. Two groups are dedicated to this side of the room. One being for decorations and the other is to wrap up the presents. "Akeno is supposed to bring Nawin-kun in the next hour! She can only hold him for so long until he starts to get suspicious!"
"I need more tape!" Kokoro shouts, sticking her right hand out "Come on, Issei!" "I'm going as fast as I can here!" he retorts, passing four evenly cut tapes to his Queen. "I can't go crazy fast, or I'll risk cutting my fingers off!" "Less whining more work!" Elise finished covering another present and move it to a stack of other gifts that are wrapped.
"Kat! That's not the one I asked for!" Ravel shouts, seating on Riser's shoulders so she can reach the ceiling. "Which one then!" Koneko shouts, showing a rare emotion of frustration "I said blue balloon! Not the black one!" "Well speak louder! Issei-senpai and his group are noisy" "Just give me the blue balloon!" "Oh god," Riser grunts in dismay, feeling his ears are ready to pop as he is currently sticking some colorful garlands on the walls.
"Does this look good?" Misako asks, sitting on Xenovia's shoulder while one side of the birthday banner. Holding the other end is Wendy, seated on Yuuto to just barely be on the right height. Senna stood a few feet away to examine if the banner is position perfectly. "Wendy," she speaks "Bring it up just a bit more, and that should do it" "A-alright." Wendy stretches her right arm as high as she can before inserting the banner on the wall, its back is already configured with double-sided tapes. Misako follows the same motion which completes the setting for the banner. "Looks great!" Senna informs with a bright grin while giving a thumbs up.
"Oh, Satan..." Rias utters, holding her face and sighs "You called?" "Kyaa!" the Gremory yips and jumps away only to see it is Sirzech and Grayfia stood behind her. "O-Onii-sama," Rias whisper out before taking a deep breath, "You scared me there," "Ahahaha," the Satan laugh before waving his hand down "Sorry about that. Just saw the opening."
"You are having trouble?" Grayfia asks her Sister-In-law. "A bit," Rias admits, turning to look at everyone hard at work with the tasks given to them. "This was a last-minute decision, so of course it was going to be tough. But, if all goes smoothly, we should be able to have everything set just in time."
Sirzech wears a proud smile. "Once again you have set what's to be an amazing celebration, Ria-tan." "Oh, this wasn't my plan, Onii-sama" Rias quickly corrects "Really?" "Yes, Miraya-san planned this whole thing." "Miraya?" Sirzech repeats "That would be me," a new voice joins the conversation. The three turn to see Miraya entering the living room, greeting the Satan and his wife with a warm smile.
The Culdos stops in front then give a respectful bow. "My name is Miraya Culdos, a pleasure to meet you," she says and leans back up, "You must be Rias-san's older brother?" "Sirzech Gremory. Easy to tell, eh?" Sirzech jest, chuckling "The resemblance is striking," Miraya state and lets out a giggle. "And," Miraya shift to the silver-haired woman "You must be his wife?" Grayfia nod and gives a faint smile "Grayfia Lucifuge," "It's nice to meet you, Grayfia-san." "Isn't she just charming?" Azazel appears out of nowhere, clapping his right hand down on Miraya's shoulder, wearing a goofy grin.
"Azazel," Sirzech speaks, a bit surprised by the Fallen Angel's sudden appearance "When did you arrive?" "Ages ago," Azazel mutter, thinking "Hmm... Probably lunchtime." "Lunchtime?!" Rias exclaims in disbelief before sending a glare "Then what were you doing the whole time here?!" "I was working hard, alright!" Azazel quickly defends himself. "He laid on a couch and watched some movies," Miraya inform. "I knew it!" Rias shouts, pointing at the man "You, lazy godfather!" "R-Rias," Sirzech stutter, never seeing his little sister this worked up before. Usually, she would address people of higher stature with respect.
"Miraya!" Azazel looks at the girl with a look of betrayal "I told you to keep it a secret!" "I'm still mad about that," she replies with a frown. "And I thought we hit it off so well" Azazel mutters and pouts like a child. "Alright, alright!" Lucy barge into the room with a look of business on her slightly sweaty face. "Enough messing around, Oldman! Instead, help with the decorations!" "B-But-" "DON'T BUT ME!" Lucy explodes which cause the older man to squeak.
Every devil in the room just stares at the scene in dumbfounded. Watching a fifteen-year-old girl hammering words down on the Leader of the Fallen Angel Faction. It was a sight to behold, seeing the look of fear on Azazel's face caused by Lucy's heating glare and thunderous voice.
Without another word, Azazel quickly rushes to the decoration group and start getting to work. "Damn," Lucy exhales, rubbing her temple "I am getting a headache." "Please don't push yourself too hard, Lucy," Miraya says, gently placing down her hand on the younger girl's shoulder "You've been running all over the place for the whole day." Miraya spot a bag in the Makasha's right hand. "Here, give your present. I will get it wrap." "Thanks," Lucy replies with a faint smile, passing the bag over. "No problem. Now go take a quick shower to freshen up. You're sweaty from all the running" "Ehehe, alright."
"Nice new friend you have there, Ria-tan," Sirzech whispers to his little sister. "Yeah," Rias smile in agreement "She has made an amazing first impression towards the group and me."
Miraya turns around to face the three. "I hope this isn't asking too much... But can you two lend us a hand?" she asks toward the married couple. "Of course!" Sirzech remarks, giving a bright smile "I can help with the presents." "I shall head to the kitchen to help with the food," Grayfia state. "Thank you very much," Miraya says, giving a big smile "With this much help... We shall succeed." "Don't worry, Miraya" Rias speaks up, wearing a look of confidence "Everything will turn out great. Just like you wanted" "Thank you... Rias."

"Weird of you to crave for some gelato after tea," Nawin comments, "Ehehe, sorry to drag you around to find a store that sells them... I was just craving for one," "It's fine." Akeno held the waffle cone containing an Oreo flavor gelato in her left hand while her right hand is gripped firmly with the Makasha's. The couple is currently making their way home.
Akeno licks the delicious treat while her mind strays on the crucial matter. 'I was able to buy them an extra thirty minutes... I hope that is enough.' Even though the Himejima isn't displaying it. She is anxious. Her heart is beating at a faster rate than usual from worry. If Nawin enters through the door and everything is still not ready, it would make all the hard work everyone has done today be wasted. And even though Akeno's opinion on Miraya hangs on uncertainty. She would feel utterly terrible if all that effort the Culdos has done and planned goes down the drain because of her. Miraya wants it to be an amazing surprise, and she entrusted her to the task of bringing Nawin back at the right time. To Akeno, failing Miraya also means failing her Nawin.
"We're here," Nawin speaks, snapping Akeno out of her thought. "P-Pardon?" she utters and looks forward, seeing their house is right in front of them 'We are already here?!' "Akeno," Nawin calls, blinking "Are you ok?" The Himejima notices herself shaking a bit, and her eyes are stretch wide. She quickly composes herself then looks up, offering a smile "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit of brain freeze" "Ahaha, slow down eating the gelato then" "Will do."
Nawin pushes the fence open and strides into the front yard with Akeno next to him. When looking at the front door, a feeling of fear becomes known in the back of the Himejima's mind. She doesn't understand this feeling and wonders why it's in her. But, it is there, and it makes the back of her hair curl up. Akeno doesn't know why, but she feels like the moment that door opens things are going to change. For better or for worse she can't say.
"Nawin-kun," Akeno speaks, stopping which have the Makasha come to a halt as well, then turns around to look at her, still holding her hand. "What is it?" Nawin answers with a soft tone, seeing some confliction in the Himejima's violet eyes. She looks at him in the eyes and gives a beautiful smile "I love you." A gentle breeze blows by the couple and lifts the leaves around them. Nawin is slightly taken surprise by the sudden comment before he forms a warm smile. "Akeno," he walks forward and leans down to place a firm kiss on the Himejima's soft lip. Nawin slowly pulls back and look at his lover in the eyes "I love you."
Even though he doesn't know why Akeno is so nervous, Nawin sees with his action and words it enables her to calm down. Her smile is now brighter, and her eyes shine in happiness. "Now," Nawin turns around and use the free hand to grab the doorknob "Let's head in" "Ok," Akeno replies, firmly holding his right hand.
Twisting the knob, Nawin pushes the door to open, then enters. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" dozens of voice exclaims in unison to the frozen Makasha. In front of his eyes, Nawin sees everyone stood at the decorated hallway, greeting him with a big grin and applause. "E-Everyone..." Nawin stutters, unable to find words.
"I told you, didn't I?" an unmistakable voice speaks. One fill with love and warmth. Nawin watches the crowd start moving to the sides and reveal Miraya walking towards him, holding a large square chocolate cake on her arms. An expression of fondness form on Nawin's face as he makes way to the Culdos, releasing Akeno's hand.
The two childhood friend stop in front of each other. "I promised you I was going to make this the best birthday possible," Miraya speaks in a tone that is caring and soft that match the smile on her face. Nawin looks at the cake and sees his name written on it with red frosting. "Happy Birthday, Nawin," Miraya says. Hearing those words being said by the Culdos brings a single tear down Nawin's eyes. With a big smile on his face, Nawin utters the three words he never thought he would say again. "Happy Birthday... Miraya."
