If you never watched the movie, you really need to. Like it's REALLY good and this chapter is pretty much based off of it. It's on Netflix and it's called "Below Her Mouth'".

*Clementine's POV*

You may ask 'How'd you end up with her if you were with Louis?'.

I'm gonna answer your question.

This is the story of how I met the love of my life.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was almost like Louis followed his father's footsteps.
Always on business trips.
I don't mind it because I know it's work, but sometimes...
I wanna spend time with him and never get the chance to do it.
Just like now, I'm home by myself.
Just walking around in my white robe, painted nails, hair done, almost ready for work.
They're working on a house across the street from me...
Two guys and a lady...
One of the men had dark hair, almost like a bowl cut, the other had a blonde... Mullet... He was just about the same height as the guy with the dark hair...
But the lady... She had fair skin, green eyes, blonde hair, it was cut short, and she was smiling, her teeth look perfect...
Just as I was looking, my phone rang and my head darted in the direction of the noise.
I rushed over to the living room table and looked at my phone.
It was Louis.
He probably just got to Arizona.
"Hello?" I hummed softly.
"Hey babe, I'm here... I just wanted to let you know that I'm okay, and I love you." Louis was most likely smiling on the other end of the phone.
"Alright. I love you too... Call before bed."
"Yes, ma'am." He chuckled.
"Bye..." I ended the conversation.
I caught myself looking out the window, eyes fixated on the same girl.
I looked down at my phone to check the time.
7:12 am.
Time for work.
---------------------
I don't think I should talk about how I got ready for work because it's boring as ever.
But once I got out the door, I got a few wolf whistles.
I looked up at them and rolled my eyes at their ignorance.
"Hey! Why do women like roofers?" The guy with the nasty looking mullet yelled from up top of me.
"She doesn't care, Marlon. Leave her alone." The girl pat him on the back.
"Don't kill the vibe, Violet. Let us be great." The guy with the dark hair sighed.
"Sorry, I don't speak asshole." She chuckled.
"Have a good day miss, don't mind these assholes... Especially Mitch and Marlon. You'll be seeing them the most for the next week and a half." Violet chuckled and waved.
"It's fine. You have a good day too. " I waved back at her and got in the car.
Well, that was... weird.
Usually, roofers are assholes, but they seemed like they meant no harm.
I drove to work in my car that Louis got us.
-------------------
I had a long day at work, of course, but at this point, long days didn't affect me.
Once I got back I got a phone call from one of my friends; Brody.
She just so happened to convince me to go to a party with her.
So, I went in the house, took a shower, napped a bit, woke back up around 9, and we met up at her house.
I had on a short black dress with skinny shoulder straps, nothing too revealing.
Besides, I was wearing my engagement ring, so everyone is gonna know I'm not single.
---------------------
So, we get there and we walk in...
There are only females there.
Not a man in sight.
"Maybe I forgot to mention... It's a lesbian party." Brosy gave me an adorable smile.
"You wanted me to come because of that thing I told you about my parents." I rolled my eyes, returning a smile.
"You said they never let you explore the curious side of you and forced you into a relationship with anybody that had a penis and a job so, welcome to lesbian land." Brody defended her actions.
"It was only because they think women can't make a living for themselves and I'm engaged." I started to think about leaving the party.
"Oh come on, it's not like you're gonna do anything major. It's all females here. Grab you a drink, find you a partner, and just have some fun." She said in a very convincing tone.
"I'm gonna try and find the bathroom. I'll be right back." I turned to her, watching her nod then flag down the bartender.
I pushed my way through the crowd, saying a numerous amount of 'excuse me'.
Finally, I found the bathroom.
It was nice and a lot quieter in there, despite the sounds of the toilets flushing from time to time.
When I came out of the stall to wash my hands, there she was.
The same girl from the roof.
A black button-down shirt, her short blonde hair was put into a ponytail, leaving strands of hair hanging in the front.
She caught me looking through the mirror and smiled.
"I thought you looked familiar. Hey." She turned to me, flicking the water off of her hands.
My heart skipped when she talked to me.
"Hey..." I nervously mumbled back.
When do I ever get nervous?
"We never got the chance to properly introduce ourselves. I'm Violet." She stuck her hand out.
"Clementine." I gently took her hand and shook it.
"That's a beautiful name." She gave me the most adorable smile and kissed my hand.
"Wow, well, that's a rock." She admired the ring.
"You know, you can use that as a weapon, right?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Oh hush..." I chuckled at her childishness.
She reminded me of Louis... A lot.
"You know, I could let you give that one back and give you a smaller one. All it would cost is me getting to know you and working things out between us." She shrugged, rubbing the back of my hand with her thumb, looking me in my eyes.
What a bold statement.
When she shook my hand, she never let go.
But I didn't mind.
Her hands were soft and her nails were clean.
She was flirting with me big time, I know I should've already taken my hand back but it just felt so natural.
"I have to... go." I slowly took my hand away, thanking God for the red lighting, otherwise, she would've seen my red cheeks.
"Want some company?" She asked, following close behind me.
"I came with a friend." I hoped that would get me away from her.
But it didn't.
Once I found Brody, she was dancing with another redhead girl.
"Your friend found my friend. How crazy is that?" Violet chuckled.
"I need a smoke." I sighed and walked past her.
I don't like the things I'm feeling for her.
I'm engaged!
Clementine, get it together.
I rushed out to the balcony and took a deep breath of air.
Just with my luck, Violet was hot tailing me, which was very unlucky.
I peered off the balcony, trying my best not to look at her, attempting to light my cigarette.
"Here." She offered a helping hand, blocking the wind with one hand and lighting it with the other.
"Thanks." I took a puff.
I still hadn't looked at her.
"So... You come here often?" She joined me, taking a puff of her cigarette.
"I don't come at all." I glanced at her for a quick second.
"Well, you know, I can change that for you." She gave me the same glance I gave her but added a smirk.
I smiled a bit but decided to stay silent.
"I was almost engaged. Thought about buying my ex a ring, but, it just didn't work out, so I decided not to waste my time. I wanna be wise about it. Pick the right person." She continued.
"Sorry about that." I plucked my cigarette, exhaling a thick cloud of smoke.
"No need to worry. Our relationship was good before it was over. The sex wasn't that good... Especially after living together. I've got no emotional stamina for intimacy. What about you?" She faced me and leaned on the rail.
"I know how to keep him interested." I didn't dare look at her and backed up to the wall.
She looked like she was thinking a second before she joined me, standing in front of me, looking me in my eyes.
Her green eyes sparkled due to the number of stars in the sky.
"Then it might be different with you." She trapped me with one of her arms on the brick wall behind me, putting it right beside my face.
"Keep saying that and you might find the right girl." I looked down at her lips, not even doing it intentionally.
"What if you're the right one?" She inched closer to my face.
At this point were one centimeter away from touching lips.
I looked back at her.
Her eyes mesmerized me.
She thought before she kissed me.
It felt... different... Like, wow.
It wasn't long before I kissed her back.
Then I thought to myself 'Louis'.
I pulled away and ducked under her arm to get off of the balcony.
"Where are you going?" She yelled with care coating her voice.
"I have to go." I didn't look back, otherwise, I would've wanted more.
But I'm engaged...
To a man
She came chasing after me again.
"Stop... I'm... I'm engaged and I'm... happy." I explained to her, taking my hand away from hers.
"You hesitated on that last part, but you didn't hesitate to kiss me back." She made a point.
"I'm happy." I tried to get upset with her only for her to pull me back in closer to her, trapping me with her arms wrapped around my waist and her hands locked together on my back.
She kissed me and let me melt in her arms.
I gave in again.
I couldn't help it.
She separated us and looked me in my eyes with some sort of determination.
"Don't forget that. I'll see you tomorrow." She unwrapped her arms from me.
My cheeks were about to bust at this point.
Why do I feel anything for her?
I'm engaged... I'm straight... Not single and curious.
But I'm only 25... So much more life ahead of me.
But I've made my decision.
I found Brody, got a drink and left.
I couldn't stay there any longer.
I would've done something I regret.
Well... Maybe I would regret it... I don't know...
"Why are we leaving? It's only 12!" Brody groaned.
"I have to work tomorrow." I lied right through my teeth.
"Bullshit. You don't work weekends." She crossed her arms.
"I kissed her!" I blurted out.
She looked at me with wide eyes and a smile.
I covered my mouth and laughed.
"Did you like it?" She asked excitedly.
"I'm not answering that!" I chuckled even more.
