FEW DAYS LATER-
There was a knocking at my door that was so loud. That's why I woke up; I opened the door, and it's my friends. "Bro, what's up?" Ryan asked.
"Or shall I say, bro wake up!" Ryan said.
I asked, "Bro, what are you both doing here?" Ryan said, "We just want to check if you're okay." I asked him, "Why?" Ryan said, "Cause we're your friends." Gab said, "Also, you owe us shots for not hanging out with us a few days ago."
I just remembered I think I passed out sa sobrang kakainom mag-isa nang ayain ako nila Gab and Ryan last time. I said "Fine, but bro is it okay if maybe later at 6:00 pm cause it's early for us to drink."
Ryan said "Deal." Gab asked "Are you sure you're going? 'Cause you might not show up to us.." Ryan said, "Don't worry Gab, if he didn't show up, patay siya sakin." I said, "Dude, I promise I will go. Now leave." Gab said "Grabe, kaibigan mo ba talaga kami? Pinapaalis mo kami na parang ligaw na aso HAHAHA." Ryan said "Okay, we'll be there waiting. Okay?" I said, "yeah, okay."
I heard my alarm; it was 6:00 p.m. when I checked it out, and I still hadn't taken a bath yet. I almost forgot about it because I wanted to stay in my house just to draw things. I suddenly remembered that they might already be there, just waiting for me to show up, so I decided to go there. When I got there, I saw Gab waving at me. Ryan asked, "We thought you weren't going to show up again." I curiously asked, "Again?"
Gab said, "Hindi kana kasi nakakasama sa lakad namin eh." I said "May-"
"May iniisip ka lang kasi?" sabat ni gab. Sabi ko "Hindi bro, May tinatapos lang akong dino-drawing ko." Sabi ni gab "Alam namin na hobby mo yan, pero kailangan mo rin ng ingay sa tenga mo o sa isip mo, so let's party!!!"
Ryan asked me, "Treat mo bro, diba?" Sabi ko said, "Fine."
Gab said, "Woaahhhh, let's party."
After all this craziness, I told them about my dream or about the pin.
They said I'm crazy, and maybe it's just coincidence. But I don't mind if they don't want to believe me. Three hours later, sumuko na agad sila Gab at Ryan. Well, hindi ako uminom ng madami pero naka two shots at isang bottle of beer lang ako.
Pinatawag ko na yung mga drivers nila para maka uwi na sila, at ako naman ay pumunta sa cafe to buy coffee of course. After I ordered my coffee, the girl who serves my coffee was the girl who owned the pin that I saw yesterday.
She said, "Good evening sir, here's your coffee." I asked her "Are you the girl who owned the pin that I found a few days ago?" Napaisip siya and she said, "Yes sir? Why sir?"
I said "I just wanted to ask where you bought that pin?" She looks at me like I'm a weirdo and she said "Ahhh... my sister bought this for me sir. Why did you ask sir?" I said, "Because it looks familiar to me... that's all."
She said "Ahh, O-kay sir, do want anything else sir?
I said "No." She said, "Okay sir." After a few hours, I went home.
I opened my eyes and looked at these wonderful stars above me, and then suddenly I felt like I was holding something. I opened my right hand, and when I opened my hand, I saw the pin! THE ALIEN PIN! I don't know how the freaking pin was with me. I closed my eyes as I rubbed them, and when I opened my eyes, it was a freaking dream again. I was confused as I asked myself, "Why do I keep dreaming about that pin?"
I got up at 8:00 a.m., thinking to go to the cafe. I was thinking of getting some coffee. Well, because I have a hangover and I wanted to get rid of it (sigh)...who am I kidding? I know that I'm crazy to think about this girl without knowing who she is. It's not that I wanted to know her. I just want a coffee.
I went there and ordered my usual coffee. I heard someone complaining so loudly; it's an old woman. Yung babae pinapagalitan is yung babaeng nakausap ko yesterday. Humingi siya ng sorry sa matanda. Pagkabigay niya ng tissue sa matandang babae, lumabas siya sa likod ng cafe.
Well, lumabas ako pero sa harap ng cafe, at pumunta na ako sa likod ng cafe kung nasaan siya. Alam ko na baliw na talaga ako dahil sa sinundan ko pa siya. So I walk slowly near at her and she was teary-eyed when I saw her. I asked her, "A-are you okay?"
She wiped her eyes quickly and she asked me, "what are you doing here sir?" I said "I just saw you and the old woman complained about something and... and..."
Her eyes were so red, but she still smiled at me as if nothing had happened. She said, "I'm sorry, sir, for what happened a while ago". I said, "Ahh, it's okay; you did nothing wrong to me for you to say sorry. I just wanted to know what really happened, and... I just wanted to ask you if you're okay."
She looked at me like I was crazy, and she whispered to herself, "Wala pang lumapit sakin na random guy at nagtanong kung okay lang ako at parang nag-aalala pa." She sighed "ano ba nangyayari sakin ngayon araw na'to?"
I asked her, "Miss, are you okay?" She said "huh? umm... yes sir, why sir?" She smiled but I know na yung ngiting yun ay pilit lamang.
I said, "Nagsasalita ka kasi mag-isa eh." She said, "Wala lang yun sir kasi....ha?! Nagtatagalog ka pala?!"
She said, "Umm... sorry sir, nabigla lang." I asked, "Bakit ka naman mabibigla sa sinabi ko? Did I say something wrong?" She said, "Wa-wala sir kasi... akala ko kasi hindi ka nakakaintindi ng Tagalog." I asked her again, "how do you say so?"
She said, "Kasi po hindi ko po kayo narinig na nagtatagalog, at mukha po kasi kayong mayaman". I asked, "Bakit? Kapag hindi lang narinig na nagtagalog o kapag mukhang mayaman hindi na agad marunong magtagalog at hindi nakakaintindi nagtagalog?" She asked, "Eh paano ka po ba natuto magtagalog." I sarcastically said, " umm.. natuto ako magtagalog dahil kinakausap ako ng tagalog simula nung bata pa ako."
She said, "Oo nga naman... pero kasi may pagkataglish ka eh" I asked her, "What's taglish?" She said, "Taglish, Tagalog-English, taglish."
I said, "Okay..." She said "Umm...sige na sir balik na ako sa trabaho ko." I said, "O-ok... bye." She said, "Bye sir, have a good day."
Great! Just great. It was just a short, nonsensical conversation we had. I look like I'm her stalker for following her at that moment.
Gab called me, and he asked, "Bro, where are you? Let's play video games at my house; Ryan and I will be waiting for you." I said, "Ok, I'm on my way."
Meanwhile, at Gab's house with Ryan, I've told them about what happened a while ago. Gab asked, "What's her name?" I said, "I don't know."
Gab and Ryan looked at each other, then laughed at me. Ryan said, "You were talking so much about her at pagkatapos sasabihin mo hindi mo alam ang pangalan niya HAHAHA." I said, "Stop laughing, it's not even funny."
After a few hours, I went home. I woke up early in the morning, went downstairs, and saw my parents in the dining room.
Mom said "Angelo." I said, "Mom? Dad? You're here?" Mom smiled, and she said, "We're here of course because we lived here." I asked them, "I mean, why are you both still here? You and dad have work, right?" Dad said, "Yes, we do; we had a meeting with Mr. Maltino at 10:00 am. We're just preparing our projects and our PowerPoint for the meeting later."
Mom asked "Kakain ka na ba ng breakfast mo? Sabihan ko na lang si manang naipagluto ka. Ano ba ang gusto mo?"
I said, "No need, I'm not going to eat here anyway." Mom said, "Where are you going to eat breakfast?"
I said, "Somewhere else-" Di ko na natuloy ang sasabihin ko ng may bigla na lang tumawag sa cell phones nilang dalawa, they're talking with their phones as if they're busy again. Whispered to my self as I continue, "who would talk and who would listen to me."
Naligo at nagpalit na ako ng damit. Pumunta na'ko sa cafe. Pagpunta ko sa cafe ay of course nag order na ako.
Tumingin na ako sa menu nila. Biglang may nagsabi na "Goodmorning sir, what's your order." Pag kababa ko ng menu nagulat siya at ang sabi niya, "S-sir...it's you." I said and mocked her "Y-yes, it's me." She asked, "So what's your order, sir?"
I said, "I would like to order the usual and a morning type grilled cheese sandwich, and that's all." She said, "Okay, sir." After a few minutes, my order just arrived. But it's not the girl I talked to a while ago. It's not that I wanted her to serve me the food, or that I want to see her again, because it would be crazy if I wanted to see her again.
Pumunta ako sa likod ng cafe para tignan ko kung nandoon siya. I saw her humming habang nagtatapon ng basura.
Biglang napahinto ito at ang sabi "Sir?! Ano po gingawa niyo dito?" I said "I was looking for something." Tanong niya " Sa likod ng cafe?"
Sabi ko "Umm...hi-hindi." Tanong niya ulit "sa basurahan?" Sabi ko "hindi." Sabi niya " Yun lang kasi meron dito sa likod eh. Isang basurahan at maluwag na kalsadang walang nakaparadang kahit na anong sasakyan." I said "Okay I'll be honest with you, I'm looking for you cause I have a question."
Sabi niya "A-ano po yun?" Sabi ko "What's your number?"
"Po!?" Tanong niya sakin. "I..I mean wha-what's your name?" Sabi ko.
She said "ahhh..sorry sir, nagulat lang ako sa tinanong mo po kanina." I said "Please Don't say po at sir to me, hindi naman ako ganun katanda para sabihan mo ng po at sir."
Sabi niya "Sorry po sir, umm ANG ang ibig ko pong..po? I mean ano, hay ano ba yan Sam?! "
I said "So.. Sam pala ang pangalan mo?" Sabi niya "Opo, ah! Ang ibig kong sabihin ay oo. Bakit mo nga pala natanong? "Ang sabi ko "Kasi...yung pin mo, Yung alien."
She asked "Bakit po? May problema ka po ba sa pin ko? Sorry talaga nakakalimutan ko." Hindi ako nakasagot ng nagtanong siya uli "Naniniwala ka na sa kanila noh?" I said "well...".
She said to me "AHA! Sabi ni eh. Silent means yes, sinasabi ko na nga bang maniniwala ka din. May nag bigay lang kasi nito sa akin eh. Yun nga yung kapatid ko. Pero may mabibili ka naman nito sa mga mall or sa online shops. " I said "What? No. Hindi yun, napanaginipan ko lang kasi yan kaya hindi mawala-wala sa isip ko."
She asked "Ahh, alam ko na, gusto mo malaman kung paano ko nakuha yun noh?" I said "Oo, Alam kong napaka random nito pero may feeling lang akong may kakaiba sa pin mo. Dahil sobrang coincidence naman atang napapaginipan ko yung pin mong yun na sobrang pareho sa panaginip ko na nakita ko pa sa Cafe na pinag kakainan ko at pinagtratrabahunan mo."
Sabi niya "To be honest, medyo weird nga at sobrang random nga nun." Sabi ko "Kaya nga eh, pero it's okay kung ayaw mong ikwento. Sino ba naman mag kwekwento sa isang stranger na katulad ko."
Sabi niya "Okay lang sakin pero....pwede ba huwag ngayon kasi may trabaho pa ako eh." Sabi ko "It's okay." Sabi niya "Baka bukas pwede."
Sabi ko "Okay." May tumawag sa kanya "Sam! Bakit ang tagal mo? Ang dami ng customer do-on, h-hello po sir." Sabi ni Sam "papasok na ako, nagtapon lang naman ako ng basura eh."
Sabi niya "Ahhh..bakit may kausap ka? Uyyy hindi ka nagkwekwento ha." Sabi ni sam "Hoy..wala lang to, may tinanong lang si sir."
Sabi niya "Ahhh, okay...basta pumasok kana doon ha? K, byee po sir." Sabi ni sam "Pasensya na kung na tawag kitang sir. Kailangan lang kasi yun eh, kasi kapag hindi kitang tinawag na sir, magtatanong yun kung sino ka. Sorry kailangan ko nang magtrabaho ."
Sabi ko "Okay lang yun, pumasok kana don." Sabi ni Sam "Sige bye...ano nga pala pangalan mo?" Sabi ko "AA, AA ang pangalan ko." Sabi niya "Ahhh...nice to meet you AA, bye." She smiled at pumasok na.
