I placed Clementine gently on her feet and smiled at her. I kissed her once more and walked with her hand in hand out of the plaza. " I literally almost shit myself. I was terrified. " I share with her and snicker. " I thought you were playing... I don't know why. My emotions are all over the place." She wiped the sweat from her forehead. " You know I've had that ring for about nine months? I literally just got done paying it off... Only because I kept taking every 3 months to pay for it... I wanted them to hold it until it was the right time. " I kiss the back of her hand and look at her again. " I love you, Violet. I truly do. " She let a tear roll down her face. " He shrugged, pretending like he didn't just throw a major piece of information out. Sophie looked at him with a bright smile and whispered something in his ear that caused his face to turn somewhat red. He smirked mischievously and licked his lips. " Well, we'll catch ya later. What time is it? " I asked Louis with a tilt to my head. " Uhhhh, 6:57. " He checked his apple watch. "Oh, yeah, Um, Violet and I are gonna go home. She's gotta have some type of reward for what she's done tonight. " She turned and looked at me with a smirk. "I deserve it. " I chuckle and massage the back of her hand. "Alright, well, we'll see you guys later. Have a good night. " He waved at us. "Bye everybody!" Clem shouted out to the group before getting in the car, getting one wholesome "Goodbye!" from them.
I opened her door for her and closed it after she got in. I jogged around the car and got into the driver's seat and looked over at Clementine who was admiring her ring. " I really love it. Thank you. " She said, looking back up at me. " Don't thank me. You earned it. Before we go home, how about we go see your old man and tell him the big news. Of course, I asked for his blessing, so no worries here." I smiled at her. " I'll text him and let him know we're coming. I know he's home." She informed me with confidence. " How would you possibly know? " I tilted my head and waited for an answer. " He's an old man. He doesn't really go places anymore, well, except for when he travels with Carley, other than that, he stays home. " She joked. " Alright, I trust you." I chuckle. She knew I trusted her so she didn't bother to ask me if I was serious or not.
**Clementines POV**
I texted Lee.
" Hey, Lee. You home? " I texted him quickly as Violet began to reverse out of her parking spot. "Hey sweat pet. " He replied, leaving me in confusion. "Sweetpea** Autocorrect did that. Anyway, I'm home. What's up? " He cleared up his message. " Lol okay. Violet and I want to stop by for a little while. That's all. Is it okay if we come over? " I ask politely, buttering him up even though he would've said yes regardless. " Sure, you can stop by any time you want. I love to see you two together. It makes my heart smile. " He sent with a smiley face. " Alright, be there in 5. I love you." I reply with a heart. " I love you too. See you in a bit. " He ended our conversation. "We're here. We've been here for about five minutes. I was just waiting for you to zone out of your phone. " She kissed the back of my hand once more. " Oh, sorry about that. C'mon, what are we waiting for? " I ask sarcastically and try to open my door. " No no no, you know I wanna open that door for you. " Violet locked the doors. "Now I'm gonna open the doors, don't you dare get out. Let me treat you the right way. Okay? Okay. " She unlocked the doors and got out, watching me as she walked around to my side. She opened my door and waited for me to get out. I jumped out and ran to the door as if I was five years old and filled with excitement. She chuckled and shut the door behind me and joined me on the doorstep.
"Am I gonna knock or... do you wanna do it? " She asked awkwardly. " Knock. Shake that nervousness off. Lee can smell it on you. " I rubbed her back. " Everything's okay. You've known Lee for years now. Don't be nervous. You're sweating like crazy and your palms are wet. Take a chill pill. " I cupped her cheek in my hand and kissed her gently. " Now you go ahead and knock. By the way, you're telling him too." I built up her confidence. She took a deep breath, "Alrighty then." She said as she adjusted her buttons and tied the string on her pants. She knocked on the door and presented herself with a smile, making me cackle behind her. Right when she realized what I said, he swung the door open
"Hey Violet, hey Clem. Come on in. It's good to see you!" Lee unlocked the door for us. "Carley, They're here! " Lee yelled up the steps. "I'll be down soon. " Carley yelled back down in response. "How are you guys doing? " He reached his arms out and wrapped us in them. Yes, he's a hugger. " We're doing great, and uh, we got some... great news for you. " A smile worked its way onto Violet's face. " Once we sit down, you can yap all you want. " Lee gently sat his body on the sofa in the living room. I sat right next to Lee and Violet sat next to me.
**Violet's POV**
I'm about to tell him and honestly, I'm kinda shook. My hands started shaking again and I took deep breaths to treat them. " Violet, you okay over there?" Lee asked with concern. "No, yeah, yeah, I'm fine. " I unconvincingly answer. " We've got something to tell you actually. " Clem smiled at him. " Is... Is something... wrong? " Lee asked hesitantly, hoping he wouldn't hear any bad news. Clementine showed her ring to her father. He gasped with excitement. " Carley! Come look at this. " He jumped up and walked over to the steps to make sure she heard him. She jolted down the steps with her heart racing and ran over to the couch. "What's wrong? " She seemed panicky. " We got engaged. " I pumped up my enthusiasm. " Oh my god! Congrats! " She cheered and hugged us together. " Thanks. " I smiled and hugged her back. "I'm so proud of you guys. " Carley stated as she admired the ring. Lee started to cry with tears of joy. " My baby is all grown up. I remember when you first moved here, I knew you were gonna do great in life. Twenty-eight and engaged to a wonderful woman. I love you guys so much. " He hugged us right along with Carley. " We love you too. " I reciprocated feelings with him. "But there's something else I wanna talk about with you. " I separate myself from the hug and sit down on the sofa. "What's up? " Lee asked as they sat down on the sofa.
" Well, I just wanna thank you. " I twiddle my fingers and look down at them. "For what? " Lee tilted his head with curiosity. " For taking me in and treating me like I'm one of your own and accepting me for who I am. My parents never really loved me... but you did and now I can't imagine what life would be like if I'd never met Clem... I love you guys. " I whispered to them with tears making me choke on my words. " We love you too. And I'm sorry that your parents were never there for you like how they were supposed to be. Just because they don't agree with your sexuality, doesn't mean they have the right to kick you out and treat you as if you don't exist. Just know we'll always love you and we'll always treat you as if you're one of our own. You're apart of this family. Ever since we met you, we knew you and her were gonna get together." Lee replied deeply, making me feel happy inside. " How'd you know? Was it that obvious that I liked her? " I look at Clementine while I ask Lee and watch her face turn red as she smiled. " The way you looked at her made everything obvious. You guys were asleep on the couch and you had her wrapped up in your arms and she looked so peaceful, usually, her face would be frowned up and she would grumble in her sleep, but with you, she lays there like an angel. You make her happy and she does the same for you. " Carley described our relationship before we were even in a relationship perfectly. I'm surprised. " When's the wedding? " Lee asked the perfect question.
"Uh, we gotta plan all of this out later on tonight or sometime tomorrow. I'm thinking... Around, maybe Christmas or new years eve or whatever Clem comes up with. " I find myself smiling uncontrollably. "Christmas! Let's do around Christmas. " Clementine said with eager. " Sometime around Christmas. " I turn to Lee and inform him playfully as if he hadn't heard her, causing him to chuckle. " Little love birds. It's getting later, I'm sorry to cut the celebration short, but we've gotta get ready for bed soon. We're a lot older than you spring chickens. " Lee stood up and walked over to the door with us following. " I love you. " Clementine whispered while she hugged him. " I love you, Carley. " Clementine hugged her. "We love you too munchkin. " Carley responded happily to Clementine. Just as I was about to walk away with a dry wave, Lee pulled me in for a hug that included Carley. " We love you. Nobody gets left out. " Lee said as he rocked me in his arms. " I love you guys too. See you later. " I separated myself and jogged over to Clementine's door and opened it for her, catching a look of approval from Lee. "Thank you, good sir. " Clementine bowed her head at me and climbed in the car making me roll my eyes and chuckle. " Any day m'lady. " I bow back after I climb in the car with her, making her smile.

I locked the car doors and unlocked the front door, slowly opening it and walked into the house with Clementine right behind me. I locked the door and felt Clementine grab my hand. " She pushed me down onto the bed and right before she kissed me she remembered that she'd forgotten something. " I'll be right back. Close your eyes. My heart began racing with anxiety. I took a few deep breaths and waited patiently until I heard the door creak open, my body jumped at the sound of it. " Open your eyes. I need you to come downstairs. " She said as I opened my eyes and noticed she was wrapped in a towel. " What's with the towel? " I ask while following her down the stairs.
She guided me to the kitchen and dropped the towel, revealing her naked body that glowed as the light reflected off of her skin. "Damn. " Was all I could say at the moment with her catching my full-blown attention. " Come here. " She jumped up on the island and waited for me to comprehend what was going on. " Me?" I head over to her and drop my excitement. "Whipped cream? I'm not surprised. Use it wisely. " She looked at me with confidence. Her voice sounded different, like a more serious tone. "Oh trust me, I will." I nod my head. I'm indecisive about where to start. I shake the can as I make my mind up. **Violet's POV**
I jumped up at the sound of the alarm clock going off, our dog, Rosie, barking, and someone knocking at the door. I dismissed the alarm and looked at the time; 8:57 am. Perfect timing. The wedding was at 12 and I needed plenty of time to get ready. Clementine went out with Brody and Sophie along with some other friends and stayed the night with them since she had everything together already, while I went out with the guys and came back home... Because I didn't. I jumped up off of the couch and looked through the peephole and see Louis, Mitch, Aasim, Omar, Lee, and Marlon waiting outside. I hurry and rush the door open and cover my eyes from the brightness outside that blinded me. They all walked in, patting me on the back with a "good morning.". Lee shut the door and locked it behind him. Knowing the others, they would've left it open- Let's just say that they're irresponsible.
"It's my best friends big day. On a serious note, congrats, and I love you so much." He hugs me tightly with tears running down his cheeks. "I love you too. " I reciprocate, making the others soft and join in on the hug. I walked over to the steps and signaled Louis to come with me. We walked up the stairs together and headed to my room. " Okay, I need you to go in there and get my tux for me. I put it up a little too high so Clem wouldn't see it and now it's outta my reach... So can you please get it?" I ask and crack a smile. " Sure, you go ahead and get ready and I'll handle anything you need me to handle since y'know... I'm the best man. " He popped his color with cockiness and made me giggle. "Thanks, Lou. I'll be in the shower." I headed to the bathroom and turned on the water in a hurry. I hopped in and soaped up my rag and washed every part of my body in a matter of five minutes and hopped back out. I wrapped my body up, preparing to dry off but a loud knock on the door scared the living shit out of me.
" Violet, it's me. " Louis said on the other side of the door. " I only have on a towel." I hold it tighter just in case her swung the door open and it fell somehow. "I'll cover my eyes. I've got your tux. I'm coming in! " He opened the door shortly after saying those words and handed me my tux, a wife beater, socks, and a pair of clean underwear even though I didn't tell him to get all of this. "Yeah, I know you didn't ask for all of that but I got it anyway because I thought you might need it. " I hear his cocky tone from the other side of the door. " Thanks though. " I appreciate him as I slide the wife beater over my head, followed by putting my socks on, then my pants and buttoning my shirt up. I looked up in the mirror and smiled to check out my teeth. I clenched my teeth together at the look of them and brushed them, getting every bit of plaque that was on my teeth and flossed, making sure I did it thoroughly.
I looked back up into the mirror again and smiled. My teeth were perfect this time. I grabbed my tie and tried to tie it, but failed miserably. I headed downstairs and approached Lee with an awkward smile. " Can you um... Help me with this. " I mutter under my breath. " You so nervous you forgot how? I remember the same thing happened to me on my wedding day. " He chuckled, making me feel somewhat better. " I can just imagine her walking down the aisle, seeing how beautiful she'll look and her smile... oh man, that smile. Lee, she means the world to me. Thank you for giving me your blessing. I really love her... And you and let's not forget Carley. " I talk to him as he ties my tie and makes sure he knows I meant everything I said. " I trust you with her and I also trust that you won't hurt her. You treat her like gold am=nd I see that every time I look at you two and how you look at her and the things you do for her just amaze me every time. " He smiled as he finalized my tie. I turn around and face the others with a smile and receive a few gasps from them. " I hope I look this good on my wedding day. " I hear Louis praise me. "Damn, I look that good? Alright, is it like a... "Drop dead" good or a "damn" good? " I tilt my head and ask jokingly. "It's more of a " Once Clem sees you in this, she'll never be able to take her eyes off of you" Good. " Louis cackles. "Frickin A dude, you look good. " Mitch butts in, watching his language, respecting the presence of Lee. " Breakfast? I'm paying. " Omar hold up his keys and dangles them. " Hell yeah. " I scoff as if he asked a dumb question... which he did. "I already fed Rosie. " Marlon informed me as he got up off of his knees from petting her. I nod my head at him in thankfulness of his responsibility. I already know where she's going when we go on our honeymoon.

I was standing at the altar, waiting patiently as everyone walked down the aisle. The second I heard the music play, my heart dropped at the realization of what was about to happen. "We are all gathered here today witness the first few stages of a forever family beginning to blossom. Please join hand in hand."

I lift up the vail and reveal her beautiful face that had the sun shining on it, making it physically impossible to increase her beauty. I kiss her with a new feeling and I look into the crowd once more and see... My family? They were actually cheering for me. I haven't seen them since I was sixteen... How'd they know I was here and... shit. I shake my thoughts and walk down the aisle with Clementine in my arm and pretend as if I don't see them. We head out to the limo with all of our friends and climb in one by one. Louis paid for this and wouldn't take no for an answer.
The tinted windows and the heat made it feel like we were in our room at night time, cuddled up under the blanket. I sat down next to Clementine and kissed her softly. " I'm so proud of us... But I wanna ask you something. " I say with curiosity. " What? " She said with a smirk. " How'd my parent's get word of this? " I ask with a nervous chuckle. " Sorry if it made you upset... I just found them on Instagram and decided they might wanna come so I invited them, surprisingly, they showed up. " She stated nervously and looked down at her heels. " No no no, it's... it's okay. Thank you for that... honestly... I appreciate it. " I kiss her once more. We arrived at the reception and instantly smelled food.
Clementine and I walked in together and couldn't believe the sight before our eyes. I stared at the decorations with bright eyes. White balloons, blue carpet, white and blue chairs... everything was white and blue. Lee, Carley and my mother and father walk in, having a conversation. My parents approached me silently. " Violet... We're sorry. We shouldn't have treated you like that. We tried telling you to come back home but I guess you blocked our numbers and there was so much going on... I'm sorry, we're sorry and we hope you can forgive us. " My father, Bill, managed to put together that mini-speech in a matter of fifteen seconds, bringing tears to my eyes and making me smile senselessly. " it's okay." I forgive them and get wrapped in their arms. The feeling I've always missed came back, finally. And it felt amazing. My father looked at Clem and pulled her in and whispered " You're family now too. Sorry, we didn't get to meet ya sooner." He grumbled. Lee and Carley joined in, making us a complete family of emotional bastards.
