AKALESHA's POV
"Hindi talaga siya nagrereply sa mga text ko eh, nagpakilala naman ako na kaibigan mo ko. Na binigay mo sa akin ang number niya. Baka puwede mong tanungin si sir Kris kung bakit wala ang kapatid niya? O kung puwedeng papuntahin siya rito, magkaibigan naman kayo diba?" pilit parin ni Macy matapos ang dalawang linggong pagkawala ng abno. Siya lang ang namomroblema sa pagkawala noon. Ako? Excited na ako! Malapit na akong sumweldo at mamamasyal na rin sa Laguna.
"Hindi ko alam. Bakit hindi ikaw ang magtanong? O kaya tawagin mo? O kaya naman puntahan mo sa kompaniya, may address sa binigay ko sayong calling card" tuloy na tuloy na sagot ko. Bakit hindi ba kasi pumunta dito ang abno na iyon? Ako ang nahihirapan sa kaniya eh.
"Nakakahiya naman kasi, baka isipin niya na nababaliw na ako sa kaniya na pupuntahan ko pa siya. Ayoko namang magmukhang desperada, gusto ko lang naman siya. Sa tingin mo may pag-asa bang magustuhan niya ako? Kahit na mahirap lang ako, maganda naman ako hindi ba?" hindi ko naman alam kung anong isasagot ko dahil nagulat ako sa sinabi niya. Hindi ko alam kung ano ba talaga ang iniisip niya. Ganito ang epekto niya sa lalaking iyon na dalawang beses niya lang nakita. Ang gwapo naman kasi, ako kaya? May tao kayang ganoon sa akin? Iyong sobrang gwapo na masulyapan lang ako mababaliw na nang ganito katulad ni Macy?
"May pag-asa" tumatango-tango pa akong sumagot, kinukumbinsi siya at binibigyan ng tiwala sa kaniyang sarili. Maganda si Macy, iyong ganda na may pagkamasungit o mataray. Natigil lang kami sa pag-uusap ng pumasok na si Clyde, hindi ko alam kung bakit lagi niyang pinuputol ang usapan namin tungkol kay abno kapag narito na si Clyde. O nagkataon lang? Nito kasing mga nakaraan napapansin kong tumatahimik na si Clyde tuwing magkakasama kaming tatlo. Silang dalawa.
"Pinapatawag lahat sa baba" malamig ang tinig na iyon ni Clyde.Tinapunan niya nang tingin si Macy bago tumalikod at lumabas ng locker room. Si Macy naman ay yumuko ngunit agad na rin namang sumunod.
Lalabas na sana ako ngunit tumunog ang cellphone ko. Hindi naka-register ang number ngunit pamilyar iyon sa akin. Sinagot iyon. "Hello?" tugon ko. Sumandal ako sa locker at tumingin-tingin sa pinto, hinihintay na sumagot ang tumawag. "Sino 'to? Hello?" ulit ko.
Narinig kong bumuntong hininga ito. Napatingin ulit ako sa numero, pamilyar eh. Saan ko nga ba nakita 'to? Baka naman si Alesia na naman ito. Baka niloloko na naman ako lokaret. "Hoy! Hello?" binaba ko ito at lumabas na nang locker room. Pagbaba ko ay naroon na silang lahat at nagsasalita na si sir Kris. Mabuti nalang at hindi ako nakaagaw ng pansin dahil ang mga malalaking empleyado ay natakluban ako.
"Sa lahat ng mga hindi nabanggit, enjoy your three days. Nasa sa inyo na kung magpapahinga kayo o mamamasyal kasama ang family o kung ano pa. Iyon lamang" umexit na kaagad si sir Kris at nagsi-alisan na ang mga empleyado. Kaniya-kaniyang komento pa sila matapos mawala ng boss.
"Tuloy ang gala natin next week" si Macy na lumapit sa akin, mahina pa siyang humagikgik. "Invite mo siya ah?" pinindot-pindot niya pa ang tagiliran ko kaya nangiti nalang ako. Alanm ko naman na hindi kami kasama rito. Mabuti nalang.
KREIT's POV
I put down my phone harshly after being hung up by the tomboy. She didn't even save my number but she gave it to the unknown woman? I frustratingly brush my hair with my fingers. Just two weeks. I'm miserable because of her. I like her, alright? Alam ko iyon, it's not like it's the first time I'm liking someone. But this is the very first time I felt this thing towards a tomboy who I slept with.
Just two weeks! Nagalit ako sa napakaliit na bagay and the girl she like, are they together now? Tumunog ang phone ko. Mabilis ko iyong kinuha only to find out it's the creepy woman named Macy. Who is this? She was texting since last week. I put down my phone. Not important.
"Come in!" I said as I heard someone knocking at my office door. Yep! I'm working. The door opens and it was Tuazon who showed, my cousin who fell inlove with the province girl in the process of his engagement with Nicasa Saaldavra.
"What? Magrereklamo kana naman sa akin? If you don't like Nicasa, why don't you go for your province girl. Fight for her! This is the..." I counted in my head, moving my fingers. " This is the 14th time that I've been saying the same whole thing. Come on, Felix! Be a man to your woman"
"But your woman is not a woman, and you're acting here like a man when you just got upset with those small freaking things like a woman" he fires back.
"What are you doing here?" I suddenly went serious. He raised his eyebrows amusingly as he takes the seat across the table. I didn't even gave him the permission to sit but this dumbass just freaking did.
"Pupunta akong Pampanga, cover me up. Siguradong pupunta rito si Nicasa sayo, just tell her we're not talking anymore since..." he looked up, thinking. "Last month" he raised his index finger, finally answering.
"You're a terrible liar, I'm a terrible liar" I pointed him and myself. "This won't work. Why are you lying anyway? Scared that they'll found out? Come on, Felix. Why don't you just impregnate your woman or marry her in instant? In that case, they won't force you to Nicasa!" telling him like a wise man. I'll do the thing if I were him but I like my soon to be fiancee. He's so unfortunate.
"Believe me, wala pa kaming isang buwan gusto ko na siyang pakasalan but her family don't like me. My family don't like her and even wanted to marry me to Nicasa. Gusto ko na nga siyang itakas but she's pushing me away, telling me to marry someone else. I wanted to be mad at her but I don't want to do such things while I'm this angry. You know..." this is the most dramatic scene in my life, Felix telling me things about her woman while he's in tears. "Everyone's against us" he wipe his tears. He chuckled in front of me.
"Dude, this is awkward but I'm not against you two. Why don't go now and don't come back" I furrowed my brows looking away. "Go and make up with her, don't come back if you think everyone's against you in here. Doon ka sa Pampanga, your woman is not against you, only her family"
"Sige, aalis na ako. Salamat!" he quickly stood up and walked fast to the door but he suddenly stopped and faced me. "Answer them honestly, thank you my cousin!" then he went out of the scene. He really love her woman, he can even cry in front of me just for her. Felix had been through so many things. He's the good son. I am the perfect son.
And this perfect son of me was ignored by the tomboy. I sighed and looked at my phone. How is she now? Seriously, Kit? Just two weeks passed by. It's not like years. Is she with the woman already? With the waitress? Are they dating successfully? I need to asked her.
Completely done with my shits. I stood up glancing my watch. The restaurant was about to close this time. I stretch my back, my muscles. I dismissed Drake, my secretary, and made my way to the Sunshine's. I parked near the entrance, humans that I don't know are leaving the Sunshine's. I smelled myself. I have been wearing this suit all day.
I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked almost perfect but I need it a hundred percent. I hurriedly get my extra clothes at the back of my car. I quickly remove my suit and put the plain black t-shirt. I tucked it in, nilabas ko ang silver necklace ko to make me look so handsome as fuck. I faced the mirror and just brushed my hair with my fingers. I put a little manly perfume, I don't want her sneezing on me. That's insulting.
Finally getting out of my car when the 2nd floor lights die out. I waited for her to come out. When she did, I made my way to her. Looking so good and sexy with those skinny jeans and a tucked-in black loose shirt. I smirked. We're matchy, what a coincidence. I stopped in front of her, yeah because you knew this tomboy, she won't pay attention on you unless you pay attention on her.
Slow motion, she looked up at me with her eyes being innocent. She slightly parted her lips, is she wearing lipstick? I curiously lowered my head on her face. Is she blushing or are this make up on her cheeks. "What the hell.." I whispered.
I grabbed her, suddenly remembering I have to be mad. Dinala ko siya sa tabi ng car ko. Mukha naman siyang natauhan. "Oh, nandito ka" she said like she just noticed me right now. Bro, I looked damn perfect!
"Yeah, I'm here. You're right, so how's your relationship with her? Did you already?" my voice suddenly went lonely like it need some energy.
"Ano? Relationship? Kanino?" her eyes widened. "Si Daddy ka? Puro kayo relasyon" she said a bit irritated.
"So, what's the deal with you and that girl last time in the Sunshine's?" now I think I just made myself miserable for nothing. I'm an idiot!
"Ah, tinanong lang niya kung puwede kaming maging magkaibigan kinabukasan. Ano bang iniisip mo? Na relasyon iyon? Ah alam ko na nagseselos ka nuh?" ngumisi siya, tinaas baba ang kilay niya. Umiwas ako nang tingin. She figured that out easily. "Huwag kang magselos sa akin, ang swerte mo nga ikaw ang gusto ni Macy eh. Akala ko ba nagtext siya sayo? Ang gwapo mo, ah! Pakilala mo nalang sa akin iyong kasama mo no'ng nakaraang araw" dagdag niya.
Bumagsak ang balikat ko. I was so disappointed but very satisfied. Now, she's forgiven.
"Ah, I love this!" I whispered. "Let's go, I'll take you to dinner" inakbayan ko siya. I'm fucking happy!
