So a nigga trying to focus on what the teacher talking about, but I felt my phone in my pocket. Guess I forgot to put it on silent.
I took it out my phone and put it on silent then I checked it. Not like I'd waste my damn time trying to hide my phone, but the teacher wouldn't be able to see me anyway because of the big nigga I sit behind. Nigga know he need to be on the football team. He could put muthafuckas out forever.
leek: yooooo wea u at??????????????????????
I scrunched my face up at his text. Did the nigga fall asleep on the question mark?
me: class nigga
It took him a few minutes to text me back.
leek: look at the door.
I deeply exhaled and put my hand on me chin as I looked towards the door. As expected, this silly nigga was standing there making faces and sticking his tongue out in the thin glass window in the door. Ms.White, the teacher, noticed that people were looking towards the door so she turned to look. That nigga moved away from the door quick as shit.
"Why were you all staring at the door? What you all need to be doing is focusing on the board and paying attention to the lesson. Some of you really need to buckle down. Especially those of you in the back row."
People started looking back at us snickering and shit. This bitch got me fucked up. My grades on point. Besides gym this the easiest class I got.
"Oh, well except for Mr.Graham and Ms.Clarke." The teacher said as she examined the back row. I'm glad she corrected herself. I'm ready to get the fuck up out this bitch, fuck I look like failing?
She then went on to go on a tangent about grades and education and being somebody and all that shit. Turning papers in ain't the only way to get paid. Shit I'm just doing this to make my mom proud.
She talked so much that she used the rest of the class period to bore everybody. Soon time the bell rung people ran out the classroom quick as fuck.
I got up and grabbed my shit then went to the cafeteria to find Leek sitting at our usual spot. I sat beside him and he lifted his head off the table.
"It's about time yo slow pokin ass got here."
"Nigga the bell literally just rung like a minute ago. Know you heard it. Why wasn't you in class though?"
He smacked then blew breath out his mouth.
"Man I was talkin to Europe a..."
"You ain't even tryin anymore nigga!" I said chuckling. "Asia."
"Asia, China, Ethiopia, Europe, Africa, shit they all continents." He said getting frustrated.
I put my hand over my mouth to stop myself from laughing at this stupid ass nigga. Since when Ethiopia a continent? Next thing you know he gon try and say Pluto the fifty-first state! Swear this nigga done had Jesus on his side all these years in school. That's bout the only logical way to explain how he made it to this point.
"But shit anyway me and Asia was talkin cause I was tryna find out where umm... No...va... was and the teacher gon ask if we wanted to tell the class what we was talking about."
He ain't even gotta say anymore. I could only imagine the corny shit he had to say. I'm sure he said something about a AB conversation.
"Why you s-"
"Oh there Continent go! I'm finna go see if she heard something from... umm... Nova yet.
He got up and grabbed his back then walked away.
That nigga hellah sprung. He gon lose his damn mind... even more... if he can't pull that female. Nova done fucked around and changed this nigga. He must want more than pussy from her cause he sure hell ain't never worked this hard before. He would have usually just been on to the next by now.
Fuck it. I'm not about to sit here by myself. I may as well go chill in my car and check on my mom and Khalid until the next class period starts.
Nova POV
Gym wore me the fuck out! I barely even did shit because I barely could, but I am exhausted.
I stayed in the locker room until everyone cleared out and went to lunch for a reason. I wanted a few extra minutes to rest, and then on top of that I left my makeup in my locker. I had to rush and get to gym so I didn't have time to make sure I had everything. My makeup got all ruined by me working up a sweat trying to keep up with everyone else in class.
I walked around the locker room to make sure everyone was gone, then I went over to my stuff and got dressed in my regular clothes. I kept it simple today by just wearing gray shirt, a black cardigan, blue jeans, and black and gold shoes. I took my hair out of the ponytail it was in so I could try to hide my face and neck a little bit better.
I sat down and struggled to try and bend over to put my shoe laces in my shoe, so I had to slowly lift my leg and do it that way.
It took me at least ten minutes to get dressed. When I was done I grabbed my black book bag and my white purse then I left out the locker room.
As I was about to turn on a different haul, I noticed Leek walking down the hall on his phone. Good thing he was looking down. I quickly turned in my tracks and hurried the best I could down another hall. I had to take the longest way to my locker.
Once I made it to my locker, I looked both ways down the hall. No one was around so I hurried and unlocked my locker. I immediately tied my hair up in a ponytail then used a wipe to clean off all the nasty makeup then I used the mirror on my locker door to reapply it. I successfully got my face and neck looking back right, then I added extra shit like a little blush and some lipstick.
"NOVA! THERE YOU ARE!"
My heart damn near popped out my chest and I smeared lipstick all on my cheek as Leek's damn ass snuck up on me. He scared the shit out of me!
"Nigga what the fuck?! Look at watchu did bruh!" I said turning my head to glare at him.
That goofy smile stayed plastered on his face as he took a step back to look me up and down. "Still lookin like a gazillion bucks."
I turned back to my locker to see that it look like I drew a zigzag line on my damn cheek.
I stood there trying to figure out how I'd fix this with him standing there staring at me, when yet another problem approached.
"Damn boo I'm glad this muthafucka finally found you. Nigga was going all crazy and shit. Talk t-"
She took one glance at how nervous I had become then her face softened.
"What happened to your face?"
I deeply exhaled then I tried to muster up a fake laugh. "Leek snuck up on me and scared me."
She didn't say anything. She just reached into my locker and grabbed a wipe then handed it to me and folded her arms over her chest.
I looked at her, then a confused Leek, then back to her. She looked so upset.
"I umm. I do- I umm..."
"Fix your makeup. I'm waiting."
"But... I..."
She punched the locker next to me causing me to flinch up. "Damnit Nova! That nigga put his muthafuckin hands on you again! I knew you were acting weird as fuck for something. Y-"
"Hold up." Leek turned me to face me. "What nigga put his muthafuckin hands on you?!"
Tears started bubbling up in my eyes but I tried my best to hold them in. I'd been trying to avoid this moment. Ugh. I'm so fucking dumb I should have just took my makeup and did it in the bathroom. Guess I didn't think about it at the time though.
"I- I-... You don't know what you're talking about!" I said turning back to Asia. "I'm perfectly fine." Big fat tears rolled down my face. "Nothing has happened to me just leave it alone Asia!"
I slammed my locker then grabbed my things and ran off to the student parking lot as fast as I could. My dad is a fucking maniac and if he finds out anyone knows what he does to me, there's no telling what else he might do to me.
