Strong breeze blows past the grassy and dim tall hill that overlooks the town of Kuoh. The night sky, this specific night holds many bright stairs and instead of the normal white color ones, there are a variety of different color stars in this specific night. Red, blue, yellow, and green stairs are scattered around the dark blue hued sky.
A person can be seen sitting on top of the hill, a girl. She is sited comfortably on the soft grass, arms rested on her knees while she is staring forward. The shadow of the night create silhouette over her upper form, hiding her appearance. A footstep echoes from behind and the girl's smile grows, feeling the presence behind her. A tall figure emerges from the shadows to reveal Nawin, walking forward with hands in pockets, his expression stoic as it ever was, but one thing is different, his eyes hold warmth and ease, his posture no longer is on alert or guard, just calmness.
Nawin stop beside the girl, not glancing at her just yet but instead focus on the phenomenal view in front. A massive oval object that is equal to the size of a moon hovers above the town of Kuoh. Dense clouds swirl around the unmoving object, vibrant colors shines around it, creating a view that the Makasha has never seen before. It honestly terrifies him but also, he finds beauty and serene in it at the same time. He listens to the loud and roaring breeze blowing past him, created by the phenomenon that hovers above Kuoh.
"Beautiful... Isn't it?" the girl finally speaks, her voice soft and angelic while she eyes forward, her gaze never leaving the colorful moon "... Yes, but it is also... Ominous" Nawin answers, slowly and calmly. His eyes lower to half-lid and slowly, he takes a sit next to the girl, lying down on the soft grass, his eyes not leaving the view of the moon. "What's wrong?" the girl asks, concern rings in her voice, the voice that the Makasha have always loved hearing every day. "I'm tired... So tired" Nawin reply softly, releasing a long sigh "I'm tired of everything..." "I know you are, my dear... But, even saying that... I know you continue to push on... You always do" "I had you with me back then... It's different" "It's no different, now you have more friends compare to ever before. Those friends push you on... Then there's that girl who captured your heart" the girl reply, smiling softly.
"You love her, don't you?" the girl question, still, her eyes not meeting with the Makasha. It took a minute, but Nawin finally answers "I do... But, it feels like we still have a long way to go" "Because you don't want to open yourself up completely and the same thing can be said for her... Perhaps more so than you" the girl speaks in truth "... She's not like you" Nawin utters and the girl giggle, hearing the sound of her cute giggle cause a genuine and happy smile grace the Makasha's lip "No one is like me" she replies with witty.
Nawin close his eyes, his smile form to fondness "That's very true..." he whispers, "Whatever you do forward on, Nawin." The girl slowly stands up and the light finally shines on her figure. Nawin looks at the girl, staring at her beautiful and smooth dark violet color hair, her shining and sparkling purple eyes, the eyes he can just stare for hours and never get tired, the eyes that can pierce into his heart and inject warmth in them. The girl finally turns to look at him, wearing a breathtaking smile "I'll always be with you and believe in your judgement" she states.
She turns forward to look at the moon once more, her smile slowly turns to a sad one, the shine in her eyes dim "It's about time for you to wake up... Walk tall, my love."
Forest
Lucy breathe out in exhaustion and push forward, carrying her unconscious brother by his shoulder. "The stadium should be near soon" she utters and looks at Nawin "Don't worry, Big bro... I'll get you help" she reassures with a smile and turn forward to keep moving on. A few minutes of silent walking through the dense forest. Lucy halt at what's in front of her path, then silently stirs away from the massive crater left by Sayomi.
A sound of bushes rustling cause Lucy to halt again, her heartbeat starts beating fast and her expression change to anxious. She slowly turns around to see a group of brown cloak assassins creeping out from the trees, all looking at her with the hoods covering away all their faces exclude from their thin line mouth.
'Who are these guys? They are certainly devils, but they don't look like Khoas Brigade's forces I've been seeing when in the air' Lucy notes, holding her brother closely then send a sharp glare at the unknown group as a warning. One of the mysterious individual step out of the group, stopping in front of them and extend his right arm up "Hand us Nawin Makasha" he said in a stoic tone that's devoid of any emotion which is something the young Makasha found unsettling.
Lucy's expression hardens "Like hell I'm handing my brother over to you freaks!" she retorts "You'll have to pry him off my cold, dead hands." Lucy start powering up, blue flames surrounds her, but it quickly disburses away, and Lucy drops to her knees, grunting in discomfort when the familiar intense pain shoots all over her body, her muscles aching baldly and still hasn't recover from the transformation's backlash.
"Take him" the leader orders his men. The group stalk toward the Makasha's and Lucy cuss, then start powering up once more to only wince in pain, losing concentration and the aura around her disappears. One of them stop in front of the young Makasha while the rest stop around them, blocking all corners. A sharp silver dagger points out from the man's cloak's sleeve and he point it down at Lucy "Hand him over" he utters and receive a heating glare from Lucy "Go to hell" she retorts, holding Nawin tightly with both arms.
The man brings the dagger down and when inches away from Lucy's head, the earth start rumbling and a dragon's head shoot from the ground where the man stood, taking him into its mouth then chumps down on him, crunching him in half. The man scream in pain as his upper body drops to the ground while the lower part is completely eaten by the earth dragon.
The large dragon jolt from the ground and immediately set its sight at the rest and speed toward them. The group jumps away and throws daggers at the incoming dragon. The daggers impact the dragon and glows brightly to ignite in a big explosion that destroy the whole thing.
They land on the ground and notice something strange, their landing was soft. All of them look down to find themselves in a portion of sand that is slowly sucking them in, a quicksand. The group tries to pull themselves up, but it proven fruitless and all of them can only struggle before the sand completely sucks them in.
The Leader snap around with dagger in his hands. A sound of a clink erupts around the area and the man look to see his dagger is halt by a large earth fist protruding from the ground. The hand suddenly moves forward and grab him, trapping and immobilizing him in it.
"Need a hand?" a mocking voice comment and Lucy look to the right and is surprise to see Lenna walk out of the bushes, looking perfectly healed up and healthy. Lenna glance at the pair for a second before turning back to the man. "Who do you work for?" she questions and gets no response "Fine, I'll make you talk" she states and the earth fist start squeezing the man, causing him to grunt in pain, feeling his bones cracking and organs tightening in painful measures, then he starts finding a hard time to breathe.
Lenna sees the man not even show a sign of breaking from the torture she is giving him 'He is a pure assassin... He won't spill no matter the amount of pain I inflict on him' she notes and turn around to start walking toward the Makasha's. The hand snap close, crushing the man in half and effectively killing him. Blood explodes from his mouth and his eyes gouge out, nearly popping out from its socket. The earth hand crumble and the corpses plummets to the ground.
Lucy shivers a bit at the gruesome display and see the terrifying expression left on the dead man's face. Lenna's serious and battle expression change to collective and cool now that the enemy are all ridden. "You good?" she asks, stopping in front of Lucy and offers a hand "Y-yeah... Thanks" Lucy said, surprise by the gesture, but takes the help and Lenna pulls her up before moving to Nawin's left side and takes his arm over her shoulder.
"What happened to leave you two in such a state?" Lenna question, examining Nawin's battered and bruised condition before turning to the blonde and notice her injuries as well. Lucy sigh and smile faintly "We fought some tough people... A traitor and his sister" "I see... They must be something else to be able to give you two this much of a hard time" "Yeah," Lucy whisper and takes Nawin's right arm around her shoulder and with Lenna's, carry her brother forward. "They were powerful adversaries... Powerful enough to force my brother to go all out and trust me... Rarely does he ever go all out and when he does... He wins" "I see, but" Lenna smirk "Judging by how you two are still alive and your enemy retracted... It's more of a draw, right?" she said, surprising Lucy, then a faint smile graces her lip and she glance at her brother "Yeah... I guess you're right."
Lucifer's Castle
'How come there's no security here?' Hana speaks out to Akame through telepath. The girls are currently sneaking in the ceiling, stalking around the tall pillar's edges, and walls that protrudes out that leaves room for footing. Akame watch Kuroka leads the two men through a hallway. Back of the hallway where the entrance is, laid a couple of unconscious maids and servants that's been knocked out the three 'All the guards stationed here must be out battling. I find it weird though that they didn't kill the servants' 'Guess they aren't bloodthirsty monsters that blindly kill innocents' Hana reply, shrugging her shoulders and keep close attention to the three walking through the wide hallway.
"You know where it is, right?" the black-haired man question, glancing at Kuroka "I've scouted this place already, trust me, I know my way around here" she replies with slight annoyance, offended that the man questions her abilities. "Don't worry, Cao Cao" the blonde man speaks, pushing his glasses and glance at the Nekoshou "When it comes to reconnaissance and tracking, there's few that are as good as Kuroka here" "I'll take your word, Arthur."
They take a right turn and walk through a massive white and red hallway that full of dummies dressed in variety of full set shining armors, weapons display on the wall, inside the glass case, while numbers of beautiful paintings are hanged on the walls. "Wow, amazing collections" Cao Cao compliment, looking at the master craftmanship in the armors "Indeed, it's really ashamed to see these amazing armors and weapons being unused" Arthur comments, eyeing the many different swords on the wall.
"Where's Vali?" Kuroka question after a long silence "The last contact I had with him is that he will be engaging the battle with Nawin Makasha. The line was suddenly cut off... My guess being the battle intensified" Arthur reply and instantly notice Kuroka's body tense which cause him to raise an eyebrow "Something wrong?" "No... It's nothing."
Cao Cao perks up "Nawin Makasha... The Black Flash" he whispers to himself "I've heard that you wanted to recruit him?" Arthur question "You heard right, and I intend to do so in the future. That boy will be a great asset for us in the Hero Faction" Cao Cao reply, wearing a smirk. Arthur farrow his brows "Easier said than done. The boy is infamous for not following orders and blaze through his own path. Even the council here can't control him. I doubt he'll join your cause so willingly" "It's not his choice... I'll just force him to join me" Cao Cao reply, strongly, which amuse Arthur while Kuroka, in front, her expression twist in anger, but she quickly composes herself before the two could take notice.
Kuroka mentally cuss and trying to suppress her thoughts involving Nawin Makasha 'Why can't I get rid of this feeling! He can handle himself... Tsk, feeling Valeria's power... Knowing she's there... Please be safe, Nawin-kun" she silently hopes and resolve herself, looking forward to see at the end of the hallway leads a large wooden door that is completely disjointed from the hallway that have white marble color walls and clean red-carpet floor.
The large wooden door glows in bright crimson when the group stop in front of it. "Looks like there's a defense seal placed on the door... No surprise" Arthur notes "This door looks so out of place here... Wonder if it is for specific reason or Sirzech just has bad taste in interiors" Cao Cao comments, crossing his arms and turn to Koruka "So, what's next?" "Touching that door will activate an alarm that alerts the Lucifer and all the guards that are stationed here" Arthur points out, his calculative eyes stare at the door "Hmm, even though most left, some are still patrolling around this castle and around it" Cao Cao state, looking at the back of the hallway and sees it's still empty.
"We just have to break through and hurry... The True Longinus is in there and Cao Cao, you are given the disrupter to break through the barrier guarding it, right?" Kuroka question, turning around to look at the black-haired man, who nods in response and extend his right arm up, strange purple marking spread around his arm before it subsides "I got it..." "Good, then you go in while I and Arthur deal with our little followers" Kuroka said and look up to spot Akame and Hana up on the pillars.
The two girls are surprise that they are caught and sees Kuroka smirking and indicates to her nose "I smell you two for a while now" "Clearly they don't know what Nekoshou's senses are capable off" Arthur state, fixing his glasses and stare up at the two.
Glancing at each other, Akame and Hana nod then drops to the ground, landing in front of the three. "Hmm," Arthur examine the girls "I don't know any of you, but judging by your magic signature... You girls aren't pushovers" "They aren't," Kuroka walk forward and stop next to the blonde "These two are part of Nawin Makasha's peerage, they are strong" "Interesting, I wonder why they are here? This is unexpected."
"Hehehe," Hana smirk and flick her nose "Hydra's have their own keen senses and I caugh—" she is interrupts by Kuroka appearing in front and swing a right kick, smashing at Hana's stomach and sends her blasting down the hallway. Akame response by bringing the Black Thunder down in blazing speed to the Nekoshou, but Arthur appears in front and catch the blade with his right hand.
Arthur push the blade away and extend a kick to Akame's stomach, sending her into the walls. "Not like you to rush into battle like that" Arthur points out, eyeing Kuroka with curious "We are running on borrowed time" she states and turn to Cao Cao "Go already! We will hold these two" she shouts and turns forward to see Hana getting up, wearing an angry glare.
Cao Cao nod and turn around "Time for you to go down!" he shouts and clenching his right hand into a fist and swing it forward, shattering through the crimson barrier. A flash of crimson light explodes from the door and goes through the hallway. "That's the alarm," Arthur state and glance at Cao Cao "You better move now" "I know." Cao Cao opens the large gate which took some afford then quickly slips in. The door shuts and creates a loud thud to show just how heavy it is.
"The guards will be coming" Arthur state with a sigh "Don't worry about them" Kuroka reply, pulling a strand of her hair back "I've put a barrier at the entrance to this hallway, so we won't be disturbed for the time being" "Good call." Arthur's eyes sharpen, and he steps to the right to avoid Akame blazing past him, her sword aim to the side and narrowly missing the blonde's chest. Koruka takes a step forward and disappears in a blur. Hana jumps back to dodge a fist to the ground and quickly push her right hand on the ground, bringing her forward and counters with a right foot to the Nekoshou's face, sending her sliding back.
Akame gets to her stance and glare at Arthur with her sharp red eyes. The blonde stare in fascination at the black blade, seeing red lightning cracking around it "That's an interesting sword you are wielding... Where did you get it from?" he ask in a curious manner "It was crafted by a Master Smith... My King bestowed it to me" Akame reply "I see, but..." Arthur smile and extend his right arm to the side "Having a powerful sword doesn't make you a good swordswoman, it's the skills... Do you have those skills or are you just like the rest I have come across? A naïve person who thinks they are invisible because they wield a powerful looking sword" "Sheath out your blade and let's have a test" Akame retorts and Arthur smirk, feeling a rush of excitement coursing through his body.
A black portal slash into existence and slowly, a sword floats out from it and into Arthur's hand. Arthur swing his sword down and create a booming wind that knocks down some of the armors display nearby and sends chandeliers from the ceiling swinging. The sword is large and appears to be a two-handed sword, with its long brown leather wrapped handle with a polish wooden round pommel at the end. It has a huge cross-like shaped guard and the blade is long, almost like a katana length and its edge is gold colored, the same shade color has the guard.
Arthur smirk and slowly lift the blade up, pointing at Akame "This is the Ultimate Holy Sword, the Caliburn!" he announces, and Akame take notes, sensing the raw holy power in the blade and can feel her body reacting to it. 'A few cuts from that blade and there's a good chance it's over for me' Akame state, eyeing the sword '... If that's the case,' she tightens her grip and lower her stance ever slightly 'I won't allow him to land a single cut on me.'
Hana duck to dodge a roundhouse kick from Kuroka and counters with a right elbow to the stomach but it misses by the other sidestepping. Hana is caught by surprise when Kuroka swing a right foot and hits her in the chest, sending her sliding away. Kuroka appears from the side and send a palm to the Hydra's abdomen with vicious strength that create an audible crack on the ground and sends her blasting into the walls and bouncing off it, dropping to the ground, on her knees.
Kuroka smirk playfully "You didn't stand a chance to beat Kitomi, nya! What makes you think you can defeat me?" she questions and watch the Hydra slowly gets back to her feet, clenching stomach. A smirk slowly makes its way to Hana's lip, her sharp fangs in display "I was still adjusting to this form back then, so don't quickly make such a claim" she warns, releasing her stomach and powers up, green aura emits around her.
Kuroka's slit pupils narrow ever slightly by the new fact "What do you mean, nya?" she questions, her on full guard. "You know that I'm a Hydra, right?" Hana question and gets a stiff nod from Kuroka "My original form is a Hydra and I've almost always stayed in that form, being in that form is when I'm at my best and strongest. Ever since becoming familiar to my new Master, he request me to be in my human form more often... Staying in the human form has cut down my power in huge margin because I was never used to this small form, but, during my training" a bigger smirk form on Hana's face "I've discovered that I can regain my full strength in this form if I become more adjust to it. Which means I have to train relentlessly and by time... my full power will slither into this form."
Hearing this, Kuroka gets to her stance, her playful expression hardens. "It's been a while since my Master summoned me and all those free time was spent training in the familiar forest and resting, I continue this cycle for countless of time" "That's a good story, nya" Kuroka grin "But, I won't believe you until you actually show me your strength, nya." Hana gets to her stance "I'll do better than show you, trust me" she retorts.
Kuroka slid her right foot forward and disappears in a blur. Hana shoots her right hand to the side and connects to Kuroka's face, but she is caught by surprise when the Nekoshou fades away, then a vicious punch connects to the other side of her face, knocking her to the wall. Hana grunts and opens her eyes to see Kuroka bursting forward and send a right elbow, but she dodges it by cocking her head to the side. The elbow drives into the wall and Hana quickly retaliate with an uppercut to Kuroka's chin and a headbutt to the chest to knock her away.
Hana push herself off the wall and comes down at Kuroka with a drop kick, but the other react in time and swing a right foot, smashing it on Hana's and shoots her back into the cratered wall.
Akame hops to the right to miss a downward slash and burst forward with her blade pointing forward, but Arthur brings his sword back and in a quick reflex, swing the blade to the right, sending Akame's strike up and momentarily staggering her. Seeing an opening, Arthur extend his left arm and deliver an upward gut punch, knocking the wind out of Akame and send her flying away, crashing up into the walls before dropping down.
The Knight recompose and push her feet on the wall, using it as a boost and fires toward Arthur. Akame sees the blonde grip the handle of his sword tightly and swings it downward in full force that it sends a booming wind wave that knocks her back. Arthur appears up top and lance his blade down at the vulnerable Knight.
Akame brings her right hand up and creates the white barrier. Arthur's blade contacts the shield and he is shock to see the blade comes to a halt at impact 'What?! Devil's magic should have no effect on Caliburn! It should smash right through it!' The white shield glows and discharge an invisible force that knocks the sword back. Akame drop the shield and quick motion, swings the Black Thunder to the left, slashing Arthur right across his chest.
Arthur is just in shock and Akame quickly extend her right feet and kick him in the stomach, sending him away and crash on the other side of the wall. Akame lands perfectly on the ground and her eyes goes straight to the glove on her right hand, seeing the stone glowing brightly then dims 'It can discharge an attack? It must have absorbed the force behind the opponent's strike and discharged it' Akame smile fondly 'Thank you, Nawin-kun.'
Arthur grunts on impact and drops to the ground, landing on his feet. 'The shield absorbed my attack and used it against me... But,' he looks up at Akame then glance at the glove on her right hand 'I felt... Holy Magic in there, but that's impossible, no devils can possess Holy Magic... The thought of it is blasphemy' he notes and turn back to Akame, looking at her straight in the eye "Tell me... How did you come to possess that glove?" he question and instead of getting a reply, Akame throws her sword up and grabs it in reverse style then swings it forward, the tip of the blade inches away from the ground and a red lightning stream is discharge toward the blonde.
Arthur counters by jumping and looks up to be met with surprise, seeing Akame standing on the ceiling, right in front of him, smirking. She jumps forward and launch her sword right through his chest. The pair comes crashing on the carpet floor, Akame stuck her landing while Arthur drops harshly on his back and the Black Thunder's blade digs into the marble floor, effectively pinning him down.
Akame's piercing gaze stare down at Arthur's wide eyes "How about you start taking me seriously?" she asserts and extend her right hand back, the white barrier form and blocks a strike from Arthur, standing behind, smirking in exhilaration. The one on the ground slowly fades away, signaling it was a clone and Akame turn her head around to look at the man.
Arthur smirk widen and his eyes glows in anticipation "My goal is to find opponents that is suitable to give me a fun fight and to challenge my Caliburn!" he exclaims, his eyes sharpen and his smirk change to a grin "Seeing how skilled you are... Knight of The Black Flash! It has gotten me excited!" he shouts, jumping away and discharging his mana. Blue aura blast around him, creating a power wind current that blows the chandeliers around and cracks the walls, the whole hallway starts rumbling. Arthur points his blade at Akame "You better not turn out to be a disappointment like so many others!" he yells and charges forward.
Hana jumps on to the wall and start crawling forward in rapid, her claws keeping her in place. Numbers of purple magic blasts comes from behind and hits the walls, causing a sizable explosion and leaving large, deep dents. Hana jumps to the right and dash forwards, dodging all the blasts with swift and graceful movement.
Hana is surprise when Kuroka comes from below, grinning playfully and sends right palm to her face. Hana is send barreling away on the wall and start falling toward the ground, but Kuroka appears in front and swing a right foot to Hana's side, sending her imbed into the wall. Kuroka lands on the ground and look up at the groaning Hydra "This is your power, nya?" she questions, teasing and taunting at the claim.
Hana opens her eyes and breaks out of the wall to drop on the floor, standing a few meters away from the Nekoshou. Green aura comes to life and swirls, her red eyes glows brightly. She opens her mouth and breathe out a stream of green flames. Not expecting such an attack, Kuroka, at the last moment speed to the right, but her left leg gets in contact with the flames before she successfully escapes it. The flames splash onto the wall and spread all over the place, scorching the walls, burning the armors, weapons, and carpet into liquid.
Kuroka appears at a safe distance and looks at her steaming left leg that suffers from a second-degree burn. 'If it wasn't for my magic shield it could have been a lot worse, nya.' Kuroka wince at the pain and look forward, seeing Hana walking out of the flames, looking at her with piercing gaze "Let's get serious" she states, getting to her stance. Kuroka close her eyes and takes a deep breath to calm herself, then focuses her chakra to the left leg. Blue aura glows dimly around the leg and the burn mark starts regenerating in accelerating speed.
Hana's eyes widen ever slightly when sensing the familiar energy around Kuroka and watch the blue aura healing the wounds on her left leg '... Senjutsu... Just like before with Kitomi' she notes, watching the gnarly looking injury disappears. Kuroka sigh in pleasant and grin at the Hydra "Shall we continue, nya?" she questions, and Hana response with opening her mouth to release another stream of fire.
Kuroka disappears and reappears on the ceiling, then brings her right arm forward to block an incoming kick aimed to the face. Kuroka throws Hana foot away and thrust her left hand forward, smashing it right at the center of the Hydra's stomach. An intense and familiar pain explode in Hana's abdomen as she is send blasting away, heading down and crash to the marble floor. Kuroka drops to the ground and stare onwards at the large crater, waiting for the Hydra to crawl out. She grins when seeing Hana slowly coming out from the crater, panting deeply and clenching her stomach with a right hand, her expression displays the clear pain she is receiving.
Kuroka bring her right index up and wiggle it to the left and right "Nya! What a disappointment you have shown me, Miss Hydra" she states, playfully "After saying that you have gotten so much stronger... A few more of my Senjutsu's strikes and you're done for!" Hana feel her regeneration kicks in and start loosening the pain in her stomach, healing the bruise on her stomach. Her green kimono is now covered in cuts and holes, but she ignores it and slowly gets back on her feet.
Kuroka just smile and hops around on her right foot before kicking it to the ground, blasting her toward the Hydra and strikes her right fist forward. At the last second, Hana extend her right hand forward and catch the Nekoshou's fist. From behind, the ground implodes into destruction with the pieces of marbles and woods beneath the carpet scatter around the room, showing the pure power behind the Nekoshou's punch. Kuroka's face hold the look of disbelief and stun, seeing the Hydra able to block a full-frontal attack of a Senjutsu strikes "You..." Hana whisper and looks up, showing her glowing red eyes that pierce into Kuroka's gold orbs "Aren't the only one who possess Senjutsu."
Hana slap Kuroka's fist away and swing her left hand upwards, sending it to Kuroka's stomach. Kuroka cough out air and groans out in pain, feeling the Hydra slowly brings her fist out of her stomach. Hana wasn't done and brings her right leg up to give a brutal knee at the exact spot and Kuroka let out a scream of pain, but Hana silence her by a backhand to the face, sending her barreling away. Hana's green aura now hold a blue hue around it, signaling mana from nature is flowing around her, giving her its strength.
Kuroka coughs violently and blood emerge from her mouth, splattering on the red carpet, darkening it. Kuroka grunts and slowly gets up, holding her stomach "Heh," she chuckles and looks up "So, you mastered the Sage Art?" "In this form, yes" Hana reply, striding forward "When in my Hydra form, I am one with nature already, but I had to learn how to use it in my human form compare to when I was natural born with it in my original form... Being that I was already one with the nature since birth, it wasn't hard for me to adjust it into my human form."
Hana brings her right arm forward, clench her hand tightly into a fist, creating an audible pop "Now," she starts, glaring at Kuroka "You will answer me this... Why were you with my Master?!" Kuroka brings her left hand up to wipe the blood away from her lip with the thump, a small smirk plaster on her lip "That's my own business, nya" she retorts and purple aura swirl around her, signaling she's powering up.
"Your own business indeed" Hana speaks, her striking gaze never leaving Kuroka "You clearly didn't want the rest of your team to have knowledge of it" she state and sees the Nekoshou's eyes widen ever slightly, confirming her accusation. The look of surprise is quickly replace by a look of annoyance on Kuroka's face "You talk too much, nya" she spat and thrust her right arm forward, firing a purple magic blast from the palm.
Hana brings her hands forward, clapping them together. The moment the blast is right in front, Hana extend her arms to the side, cutting the blast into half, the two smaller size blasts pass her and impact the right and left of the wall from behind. Hana perform a backflip as Kuroka appear from above to deliver a drop kick. The kick contacts the crack floor and erupt in an explosion, destroying everything and leaving a sizeable crater. Kuroka jumps forward to follow the Hydra and the two start trading blows in high-speed. Fists and kicks connects to each other with each blow causing the hallway to shake like an earthquake has just erupt. Both hasn't land a hit at one another, avoiding all the strikes and countering it effectively.
Kuroka send a right leg, but Hana catch it with her hand, and start swinging her around before tossing her into the wall. Hana boost forward and swing her right hand to Kuroka's head, but she ducks down and the fist drives into the wall. Kuroka counter with an elbow to the Hydra's gut, staggering her back, but she quickly composes to catch another elbow aimed for the face.
"With nature's mana flowing in me" Hana speaks, smirking "It's going to take more than just a few strikes to take me down, Nekoshou." Kuroka smirk back, pushing her elbow forward and effectively pushing the Hydra back "That good, nya... This fight won't be so short!" she shouts and quickly swipe Hana by her feet, sending her dropping to the ground. Kuroka brings her right feet high up where her knee is just an inch away from her chest, showing her incredible flexibility, then brings it down to the Hydra, and the whole ground implodes in destruction and smoke.
Outside Vesarima
The once lively and vibrant forest at the outskirt of Vesarima now holds nothing but destruction that showcase of a violent battle. Broken trees, burnt grass, crack earth, and many craters scattered around. But, there is one specific massive crater at the center of the forest. This crater reach dozens of meters wide and even more meters deep, looking like a nuke just been dropped on that area. Numbers of trees are stuck in its muddy slope, hanging down like it's close to death.
Akeno and Raynare stood at the center of the crater, one of them in a worse state than the other, panting hoarsely and gritting her teeth with frustration. "Looking rough there, Himejima" Raynare taunts with a menace grin, holding her right shoulder that is dripping in blood, a large hole can be seen through it, but it starts regenerating in accelerating speed and not even a minute later, the injury is gone to only leave fresh blood.
Akeno click her teeth when seeing none of her attacks has only damaged the Vampire temporarily, even fetal ones' regenerate in minutes. All this time she has accomplish nothing other than wasting her mana reserve. In an instant, Raynare appears in front of Akeno and deliver a vicious right hook that send the other crashing face-first into the hard ground. The whole time, Raynare is just enjoying the view of the bruise and exhausted Himejima getting up, making a comeback, to only be send to the ground once more by the Vampire.
"Kuk-ku" Akeno grunts and brings her hands to the ground, pushing herself back up and turn around to eat a knee to the face, sending her barreling away. "Your emotions played you," Raynare state and snigger "You were so rash and charge at me without a plan, then before you even realized you completely exhausted yourself... What a childish act."
Akeno once again push herself off the ground and slowly gets up to her feet, looking up to give a glare at the Vampire. Raynare smirk and strides forward. Waiting for the Vampire to be in close-range, Akeno abruptly thrust her right hand forward and discharge a massive lightning blast. Akeno smirk when seeing the look of shock on Raynare's face, but her smirk quickly changes into disbelief when seeing her blast is knock to the right. The blast hits the slope of the crater and ignite in a massive explosion that sends tremors around the forest, creating another huge crater next to the current one.
Akeno's eyes widen when seeing Sayomi standing in front of the equally shocked Raynare, her right arm stretches to the side to show she was responsible for stopping the attack. Sayomi spare just a glance at the battered Himejima before turning around to look at her subordinate "We're leaving, Raynare" she simply states. Raynare quickly compose herself, her expression turns calm and collective, then takes a bow at her Mistress "Understood" she utters.
Raynare poke the air and a rift cracks into existence and open to a door that shows the world of darkness in it while bats flies out of it and swirls around the Vampires. Seeing that they are about to leave, Akeno shouts out "Wait!" Sayomi slowly glance back, her sharp eyes pierce into Akeno's yellow orbs and the Himejima feels fear crawling into her heart, but she quickly regains her confidents and glare at the Pureblood "Why are you after Nawin-kun! You are here because of him, isn't it?!" "And what if I am" Sayomi retorts sharply, silencing the Himejima.
"I don't need to explain my actions to a lost and selfish girl like you" Sayomi state coldly and turns around to enter the portal. Raynare glance back to see the shocked expression on the Himejima's face, clearly her Mistress sudden comment struck her. "My Mistress isn't wrong" a big grin form on Raynare's face "Be careful, or you might just hurt the very person you most cherish" with that said, she enters the portal and Akeno watch it shuts, disappearing from existence.
Forest
Lucy and Lenna comes to a halt when hearing a groan coming from Nawin. "Let's set him down" Lucy said and Lenna nod. The two girls walk to a tree and gently lay the older Makasha on it, placing his arms on the sides. Slowly, Nawin opens his eyes, blinking a couple of time to rid of the haziness. "Big bro..." Lucy whispers, gently clapping her right hand down on his shoulder "... Lucy?" Nawin softly reply, moving to the right to look at his sister, seeing her bruise but smiling face "It's good to see you awake, I was worried!" she said and jumps onto the boy, giving him a hug.
A soft smile grace Nawin's lip and he returns the hug, ignoring the pain from the sudden impact and is just glad to see his sister fine. "It's alright now... You can relax" he ushers, then turns to Lenna, who smile at the scene "Even though I don't know what really happened... I just want to say thanks for helping her" he said to the girl "It's fine... We're allies, we should help each other" Lenna reply, waving her hand. Nawin gives Lucy a kiss on the forehead then gently push her back. Getting the signal, Lucy stands and gives her brother space for him to slowly get back to his feet, using the tree as support.
He let out a discomfort grunt "What's wrong?" Lenna question "I pushed myself too much, my body is suffering from a harsh backlash" Nawin answers, letting go of the tree and stand up by himself. Lenna reach back with her right arm, her hand goes in a pouch strapped on her short denim jeans. "Here," she said, throwing a small vial that carries small doses of green sparkling liquid. Nawin catch the vial and unplug the cork, throwing it to the ground and without hesitation, drinks the green liquid in the vial. Immediately, Nawin feel the liquid's effect. The aching pain in his body subsides, his mana reserve slowly starts to replenish.
Nawin drops the vial to the ground and examines his hands, clenching it into a fist. He looks up at Lenna and gives her a smile "Thanks for that" he said and again, Lenna waves her hand "It's fine... This war needs you, Black Flash" she states and turns to Lucy "Here," she throws another vial at the blonde, who catch it and immediately takes a drink. A few seconds later, Lucy feels the pain in her body disappears and her mana regenerating.
"After that fight... You've earned my respect, Lucy Makasha" Lenna state and turn to the south, seeing black smokes coming from the Capital "I will do anything to protect the people of my village, same goes with Vesarima and its people. Helping you two factors to this statement." Nawin smile in admiration, finding it nice to hear those passionate words from the woman, clearly, she cares deeply for the innocents, her home, and would do anything to protect them, even if she needs to entrust strangers for help.
The three suddenly hears bushes rustling, then dozens of black cloak assassins jumps out from it, coming down at all of them. A wall of ice form around the three and spikes protrudes from the outside walls, piercing at all the assassins in the heart, killing them instantly. The walls shatters and the three turns to see Grayfia walking toward them, her expression cold as ever.
They watch the assassins slowly dissipate into black mist. "These summons are all over the place, I've been hunting down the casters that are stationed outside Vesarima's walls" Grayfia state and turn her sight to the three "Are you alright, Nawin-sama, Lucy-sama?" she questions, her tone lace with concern "We're fine, Grandma... It was a tough battle, but I made through it. Were you heading this way?" Nawin question and receive a nod "When I felt an enormous mana signature near the two of you, I felt I was the closest, so I rushed here as fast as I could, but there was some obstacle in my way" she said, annoyance heard from her voice.
"It's fine, Grandma" Nawin reassures her "We made it out alive. Lenna here also help us" he said, vouching for the girl and Grayfia turn to her, smiling faintly "I see, thank you for helping them, Lenna Grasher" she said, surprising the young girl, who blush a bit at being thanks by the strongest Queen and quickly nod, giving a bow "It's no problem, Lady Grayfia."
Lenna leans up and glance at Grayfia, seeing her smiling when looking at Nawin 'I guess those two are close. Him calling her Grandma, I guess that's a clue' she notes, surprise the older Makasha was able to get close to one of the most stoic and cold individual she heard from Serafall.
"What's your plan, Big bro?" Lucy question and the girls all turn to Nawin, who has his eyes close, formulating his next move "I sent Hana on a mission and Akame should be there with her" he informs, opening his eyes "I need to head to them" "Where are they?" Grayfia question "That's the weird thing... There are at Sirzech's castle" he informs, surprising all.
Grayfia's eyes sharpen, her pupils narrow "I shall head with you then, Nawin-sama" she states in a tone that leaves no room for argument and the Makasha nod "I'm fine with that, I'm still recovering and having you with me, Grandma would not force me to strain myself again" he replies. Nawin turns to Lucy "You should head with Lenna back to the Capital" he said and the Grasher nod in agreement "There's still large groups of Black Knights running amok in the capital" she state and turn to Lucy "I wouldn't mind a hand" "Well you got it!" Lucy reply with a grin, making the other girl smile.
Nawin turn to Grayfia "What happened to the people in the arena?" "I stayed behind to see all of them safely escorted by the guards to a bunker build outside of Vesarima for a scenario like this. They are safe" she states "Alright, then we should head out" Nawin informs turning around to the direction where Hana and Akame's magic signature are at.
Lucy turns to her brother "Aren't you going to use the Speeding Shadow God?" "It would be unwise" Nawin reply, solemnly "It takes a lot out of my mana and right now it is slowly replenishing. I can't have myself teleporting there and drop down in exhaustion and become a burden. It is better we head there by flying and it will give me some time to recover my mana" "Always thinking ahead!" Lucy reply with a grin and Nawin chuckle softly and pet her in the head once, then turns to Grayfia, giving her a nod which she returns.
Nawin look at Lucy and Lenna "Good luck, you two" he said and shoots up to the air with Grayfia following suit. The girls watch the two flies to east before turning to each other "Shall we?" Lucy question, wearing a smirk and Lenna too form a smirk and nod "Let's go win this war."
Beelzebub Castle: Lab
Kokoro catch a right hook with her left hand then swings her own forward, smashing it at Issei's clone face, sending it flying away and crashing into the wall. Kokoro sheath out the knuckle knife from its holster that is strapped on the right of her belt. She spins the blade around and throws it forward. The blade hits the Clone right at the center of its head, killing it and unexpectedly, it explodes into strange white liquid substance.
Issei hops up to miss a sword slash and brings his right foot forward to kick Elise's clone in the chin, staggering it back and gives him an opening to fire up a rotation. Issei lands on the ground and immediately thrust the attack forward, slamming it on the Clone's stomach. The rotation expands until it envelopes the screaming Clone. Issei watch the Clone slowly dissipate into white liquid form that falls to the ground as the rotation disperses. He turns around to Kokoro walking towards him. "I got mine!" he announces with a big grin and Kokoro rolls her eyes and give a slow clap "Don't need to act so accomplish, Issei... Their just weak-ass clones" "Hey! I'm just pumped right now!" "I see, you'll get more chance to whop some ass when we're out of here" she replies, crossing her arms and turn to Irina and Elise.
Irina backflip to avoid a roundhouse kick and when getting to her feet, she quickly and skillfully reloads an arrow. The Clone of Kokoro runs forward and cock her head to the side to miss an arrow, her dead eyes focus on Irina. "You gonna keep dodging?" Irina ask in annoyance and form another arrow as the Clones gain distance. Irina shoots another arrow and the Clone slide to the right, avoiding it. The moment the Clone's feet touch the ground, a longsword explodes from her back. The Clone's eyes widen and look down to see Irina holding the sword, grinning up at her "Taking your eyes away from your opponent for even a second will cause you" she states and rip the sword out. The Clone stumbles back a few steps before exploding in liquid.
Elise brings her sword up to summon a crimson hexagon shape barrier that blocks the incoming arrows. The barrier easily withstood the assault, then glows and release a barrage of crimson shards to the clone of Irina, who didn't foresee this and gets impale by dozens of the shards. Elise discard the barrier and watch the Clone drops to its knee before falling to the ground and explode in liquid.
"Geeeuh!" Irina wince "That's a terrifying sight to see yourself get killed like that" she comments, dispelling the light sword and turn to Elise, who revert her sword back to its basic form and sheaths it back in the scabbard. The Princess giggle and smile in apologetic "Apologies! Irina, I should have thought of your health when seeing that gruesome scene on your clone" "Meh! Don't worry about it" Irina chuckle, waving it off "Their just clones, also with those dead eyes, I don't picture that being anything close to me" "Ain't that true" Issei joins in "Their eyes are as dead as... Well, dead."
Koroko sigh "Great comment there, Issei" she quickly inserts in sarcastic manner, then turns to the computer "Let's get this over with." The four walks toward the computer, all of them have their eyes wide open, ready for any more surprise. Fortunately for them, when reaching the computer everything was fine, and Kokoro takes a sit on the chair. Instead of going to the mouse, she just presses the spacebar on the keyboard and the screen opens to reveal a large text saying password and below is a specific amount of empty boxes where the password are to be insert.
Issei rest his arms on the chair, resting his chin on arms then looks down to his Queen "You remember the password?" he questions and receive a dull stare from Kokoro "I do... Do you?" she asks and gets a sheepish grin which gives her all the answers she needs while Irina and Elise giggles. Kokoro moves her hands over the keyboard and start typing the colors in the correct order "Yellow, Red, Blue, Pink, and finally... Green" Kokoro speaks while typing the last color in then tap the enter key.
"Defense Mechanism Activated! The protocol shall proceed in sixty seconds" the computer informs and the group let out a huge sigh in relief. "Hell yeah!" Issei pump his fist in the air and send a grin to his Queen "Good job, Kokoro!" "No big deal" she replies, calmly and gets off from the chair. Irina smile and turn to the three "We should head out and help the others" she suggests and the rest nod "We should be able to leave by the front door" Elise said. The door up the stairs suddenly opens and the group look up to see light from the hallway shining in the dim lit room "I guess you're right" Issei muse and runs toward the stairs "Let's move!"
Vesarima: North Gate
Large crimson and flaming orange explosions erupts in the ocean of Black Knights. Rias and Riser appear at the center, where one of their attack impacted, leaving the ground a large dent and burnt. They stand right at center of the swarm of enemies, back to back. "You ok?" Riser question, hearing his friend's panting breathe "Y-yeah, still got plenty left" Rias reply and gets a chuckle from the Phenex "Alright then, I got your back, so go as far as you want" "Good to hear." Rias looks forward and see the number of the black cloak summons are decreasing "Our knights seem to have completed their task" "Yeah, I noticed... Now we just have to finish the leftovers" Riser reply, getting to his stance, flaming aura swirl around him.
Ile and Nel charge through a large group of Black Knights, and the small girls cleave through all of them with their chainsaw. Rain of blood and body parts fly in the air before splattering to the ground. "This is fun! Right, Nel?!" Ile giggles, asking her sister, who giggles back and nod "Yeeeah! Let's cut more people up!"
Isabela dodge a hammer by side stepping to the right and counters with a right arm swing to the large man's stomach, blasting him away and crash to a small group of Knights. Isabela glance at the twin sisters, seeing them massacring through the enemy forces "I'll never get use to their word of fun" she utters, shaking her head and extend her right arm to the side to catch an incoming axe. She turns to the stunned man and throws the axe back at him. The weapon hits right at the center of his and cleave through it, splitting his skull in half.
The group and Vesarima's forces continue to battle on with relent, pushing back Khaos Brigade's forces. Piles among piles of corpses start stacking up on the road, the once dirt brown road is now covered in dried and fresh red blood. Then abruptly, all of them comes to a halt when feeling a large tremor erupting from the walls. All turn and are shock to see four square doors slowly slides up from the walls. Two from each side of the massive gate. When it fully opens, it shows nothing but pitch black empty square hole. Suddenly, a humongous cannon slowly emerges out of the shadows, coming to the light and show everyone of its frightening appearance. The cannons are basic looking with an exception of an advance view finder build on top of it.
"Scanning" a voice of Ajuka's computer comes from the walls, lots don't know how it is possible as they just stood there, frozen in shock by the cannons. "Many unknown individual... Enemies, by the order of Ajuka Beelzebub... You shall all be terminated" the computer announces. Instantly, all the four cannons aim at Khao's Brigade's forces.
"Are those..." "Giant cannons... Yes, Rias" Riser finish, and the two watch a green mana start charging up at the recoil. Riser's eyes widen, knowing what is coming and the position they are currently at "Crap! We gotta move! We are right at the center!" he exclaims and shoots to the air with Rias following suit. "Ile, Nel, Isabel! Get up here!" Riser hollers at his peerage and all the girls immediately snap out of the shock and joins him in the air.
"Walls!" the commander of Vesarima's forces quickly act and orders his men to create a large red barrier that temporarily blocks the Khaos Brigade's forces to enter. When fully charge, the cannons fire a massive green magic beam that instantly demolish through the Black Knight's forces in half, leaving nothing behind except for a scarred earth. The cannons quickly charge up again, intending to finish it off. In a matter of seconds, the cannons wiped out half of Khaos Brigade's army. "Retreat!" the captain of the enemy forces shouts in desperation, reining the horse to turn around and speed to north, seeing their captains cowardly act and witnessed numbers of their comrade got annihilated in seconds, it broke the enemies moral and all of them turns around and start retreating in speed of desperate.
Before all of them could get far, a wall of fire erupts in front of them, causing all to halt. "You attacked our home and expect to leave that easily?" all of them look up to see Riser floating over the flames with Rias, Ile, Nel, and Isabela "Here's Vesarima parting gift" Rias gives the final line, grinning cheekily. The cannons are fully charge and fire another rain of beams to the remaining enemy forces, eviscerating all of them into nothingness. The walls of fire dissipate, and the group slowly descend to the destroyed ground. 'Rias...' a fade voice rings in the Gremory's mind, startling her for a second 'Hello?' she replies 'I-It's me A-Ajuka' the Satan speaks, static interrupts the flow of his words, but Rias is able to catch all of it 'Yes, Ajuka-sama, your defense mechanism is activated and the North Gate is finally cleared' she informs.
'G-good, b-b-but there's a-a problem. I-I on-only installed t-those d-defenses o-on north gate a-and south gate' Ajuka informs, surprising Rias 'W-why only the north and south?!' she quickly questions 'I-it's my n-new invention... D-d-didn't have e-enough time' he gives a reasonable answer and Rias just sigh and nod 'Understood, I shall head to West Gate and give assist. For the East Gate, I'll contact Issei to head there' 'G-good p-plan, wish y-you luck, Rias' Ajuka bids then cuts the link.
"Holy crap!" Xenovia voice comes from the right and the group turn to see her along with Yuuto, Karlamine, and Siris emerge from the bushes. All carry some bruises and cuts in their body and clothes but other than that none suffer from any fatal injuries. "We saw the huge green blast, but this..." Yuuto utters, amaze by the result of the cannons attack and just stare the lines that the blast drawn on the earth.
Rias smile at her knights, but quickly return to serious "Sadly we can't celebrate yet" she states, causing all to turn to her. Before Rias speaks, she notices Yubelluna is missing from the team "Where's Yubelluna?" she questions, turning to Riser "I sent her to go look for Akeno after you told me that she's been missing for the whole battle" he answers and Rias sigh in relief "Thanks, that put my mind at ease. What I was going to say is that those cannons aren't installed at all of the gates... Only the North and South ones, so we should all head to West for assist" she informs and the rest nod in agreement. "What about the East?" Karlamine question, raising her hand "I'll send a message to Issei to head there" "Sounds good, we should move out then" Riser assert and release his wings with the rest following suit, then all of them blast to the sky and head West.
Lucifer Castle
Akame grunts when smashing into the wall, but she quickly composes and roll to the right to miss a sword strike that instead launch through the wall. Arthur pulls the weapons back and extend it to the right, having the blade point down to block a strike from Akame, aimed for his legs. "Not bad," he compliments then does something unexpected and swing his right foot forward, his shoes hits the Black Thunder's blade, kicking it away from Akame's hand.
Akame immediately rolls back to avoid a downward slash from the long sword, the blade cuts the back of her black-sleeveless shirt, though fortunately did not touch her skin. Arthur grins and continue the downward slashes, forcing Akame to continue her roll to avoid from being cut in half. Akame cuss and quickly try to come up with a counter, then she notices herself gaining distance to the Black Thunder that is stabbed on the ground.
Arthur battle instinct has blind him and only set his sight on the retracting Akame. He is suddenly surprise when she extends her right hand, summoning the barrier while her left hand grabs the sword's handle. Akame dispel the barrier and in speeding and smooth motion, kicks both her feet on the ground to blast past Arthur.
Blood explodes from Arthurs side, showing a cut wound just below his shoulder. The fresh blood splatter to the ground, dropping beside the frozen man. Akame backflip and lands on her feet. "Not... Bad" Arthur slowly comments with a chuckle and turns around to look at Akame, showing her his battlelust grin "I want to see more of your strength!" he exclaims.
Arthur disappears and not even a second later, appears in front of the stun Akame, giving her a vicious left hook to the face that staggers her back while busting her lip open. Arthur stab his sword to the ground and blast toward the knight. He decides to engage in a hand to hand combat and grabs Akame by the collar of her shirt and sends multiple hard right hook to her face. Akame's glare never lesson and she grip her sword tightly and swings it to Arthur, but he sees it coming and smack her arm away, effectively sending the sword out of her grasp once more.
Arthur then brings his arm back and deliver hard jab to Akame's side, hitting her right at the liver and she cough out blood, her eyes widen in pain. "You put on a valiant fight, but as you can see... I wasn't taking you seriously" he whispers and release her. Arthur spin and deliver a back kick to Akame's stomach just as she is in midair, the kick is powerful enough to blast her away, flying through the long hallway.
Another smoke erupts from the ground, pieces of marbles and woods fly out of the smoke, follow by Hana bursting out from it and Kuroka quickly follows, giving chase. Kuroka send a palm to Hana's face, her claws pointing forward, but Hana avoid it by leaning her upper body down till her hands touch the ground, then she brings her under body up and swing her feet up, nailing Kuroka at the stomach and blasting her up in the air.
Hana leans up and jumps to follow. Kuroka snap her eyes open, rage sets in and she swings a brutal and sudden left leg that smash Hana right in her face as she gains distance, sending her blasting to the ground. Kuroka extend her right arm down and discharge a large purple magic blast. The attack speed down in light speed and impact the Hydra, creating a large explosion that send tremors around the massive and now broken hallway.
Kuroka lands gracefully on the ground and with a thrust of her right palm, blast the smokes away to reveal a panting and heavily bruise Hydra standing there, gripping her right shoulder. A sizable hole can be seen on the shoulder to indicate where the blast impact, blood start pours out from it and drips down to her arm and fingers.
Akame slowly opens her eyes to sees Arthur standing on top of her, holding the Caliburn on his right hand while on the left he has the Black Thunder. "This is a very beautiful and well-crafted sword" he praises, turning the sword around to fully inspect closely, noticing its unique black blade and the beautiful red colored carvings on it that resembles lightning bolt.
Arthur suddenly brings the Black Thunder down, stabbing it just above Akame's head. "A wielder should die with their swords near them... That's what I believe as a swordsman" he states with some honor and lift Caluburn up "You gave me a fun fight, but now it's over, swordswoman" he states and brings the sword down. When the blade is inches away from Akame, numbers of ice shards form on the ground and shoots up, blocking Arthur's strike.
Kuroka smirk "Seems like you just can't hang with me, nya!" she speaks, staring at the Hydra "Maybe in the future, but not today!" she states and blast forward, swinging her right arm to Hana's face. A black blur lands in front of Hana and Kuroka feels a hand catch her fist, gripping it tightly. The whole hallway temperature drops in rapid rate, turning it to minus degree. Ice start forming around the walls, ground, and ceilings. Arthur feels chills going down his spine when seeing the glare, he is getting from the Strongest Queen, but he quickly composes and raise Caliburn forward.
