This is set after Spencer had a miscarriage. No A.D, yes he did meet Yvonne in this
5 years later....
He never looked back after that horrible breakup with Spencer. Well sometimes he did. Sometimes he kicked himself for leaving her just all heart broken. He actually deeply regrets it. He's been living in guilt for it. He hasn't told his present girlfriend Yvonne about it yet because she would think he still has feelings for his ex, but he dont. Or does he? He's really not sure. It's been 5 years since he last seen her. The only time he would hear about her is when Caleb or Emily calls him to chat. Its always the same things "She's fine, she got a promotion" or " I heard she's dating the senators son" " Her mom won state Senate" "She's been traveling" and other stuff. He smiled that she was moving on and being happy.
Or so he thought
He decided to go to Rosewood to pay everyone a visit, even Spencer. It's been a while since he's been to Rosewood and he miss his friends. He got into his car and he drove his way back to Rosewood

The first stop he made was to of course Emily. He heard that her and Alison got married. They had a wedding and everything but he wasn't able to make it because Yvonne didn't support their love and had made him choose her over his best friend, so to avoid arguments he went along with Yvonne but he texted Emily and Ali that he couldnt come and wished them a long life of happiness.

When he got out of the car, he went up to Emil's door and knocked.
When the door opened he was greeted by Emily's mom Pam
"Oh Toby, hi how are you" she smiled as she hugged him
"I've been better. And you?"
"Oh I've been okay" she smiled sadly. It's been 3 years since Waynes passing, and it really took a tole on Pam
"Is Emily still living here?"
"Oh she moved in with Alison, she is there"
"Oh, okay thank you Pam" he smiles before leaving. He got back into the car and drove to the Dilaurentis family. It took him 15 minutes to get there.
When he arrived, he looked over at the Hastings place and looked. He's debating whether or not to see her first, IF shes still living there. She could be in the Barn.
He decided to see her after Emily so he walked over to the Dilaurentis house and knocked
"Who is it" a voice said
"Toby"
The door opened and there stood Alison
"Oh T-Toby, what are you doing here" she said with her eyed widen
"I thought I came and pay a visit. Is Emily here?" he ask
"Sure, come in" she said. He noticed how nervous she looked. Is everything okay he wondered. They both went inside and she went to get Toby
"Toby is here" Alison said
"What, why? he doesn't know right? You haven't said anything right" he hears Emily say
"no i havent, but he cant not know forever. We have to tell him" Alison says
"Okay, just call everyone okay"
'I'm on it"
Tell him what? What doesn't he know
Emily comes in and smiles
"Toby, good to see you" Emily smiles as she hugs him
"Hey, how's everything?" he ask
"Everything is almost perfect" she says as they sit down
"Almost?" he raises his eyebrow
"Things happened, but other than that, it's been perfect"
"Oh okay" he says as he looks around the room. He notice that there's pictures of her and Alison everywhere and some pictures of everyone else.
There was this one picture on the coffee table. It was all of the girls. Hanna was pregnant, Aria had dyed her hair a blondish brown color, Ali and Emily still looked the same but then there's Spencer, or so he thought. She looks just like her, but this girl looked sick. She was very pale and her hair was thin and she looked very weak. Then there was another picture next to it but this time it was Ali and Emily, Hanna and Aria.
Maybe Spencer had moved and wasn't there to take the picture.
"So how's Maine?" she asked
"Maine is okay, just weir not being around you guys. I've been living there for two years and had not made any friends yet" he sighs
"What about work?"
"Well that's only at work, we don't hang outside of work at all"
"How's your homophobic girlfriend?"
he looks at Emily with that "really" look
"She's fine. She's home"
The doorbell rang and Alison went to get it. When she opened it Caleb, Jordan and Hanna, Aria and Jason and Mona all came in
"Hey guys" Toby smiles
"Hey dude" Caleb and Jason went over to him and man hugged him
"Hi Toby" Hanna Aria and Mona smiled
He looked to see if Spencer was around but she wasn't there. Was she avoiding him?
"Where's Spencer, is she avoiding me?" he asked
They all looked at one another then at Alison and all nodded at her
'You may want to sit" Ali said. He sat down along with everyone else
"T-Toby I don't know how to tell you this but" she took a deep breath "Spencer died 2 years ago"
He stood right up. He was very angry. He never felt so betrayed and angry, disappointed, but mostly heartbroken. He felt like someone just ripped his heart out and stomped on it infront of him
"She's what?" he yells
"She died Toby" Emily sayd
"Why didn't any of you tell me" he screams as tears pour down his face
"We were promised not too" Hanna said
*flashback*
At the hospital
The gang stood around Spencer's soon to be deathbed. You could hardly tell it was her, she looked so bad.
About right after Toby left her, she had found out she had terminal cancer about 3 months later. She was too sick to continue school so she drooped out
When she found out she had terminal cancer she moved back to Rosewood and told everyone else. She wanted to do a lot of things before she dies. So within those years, she traveled around the world. During that time she had met a guy who is the senators son. His name is Trevor and they fell in love. They spent a lot of time getting to know each other each other and within the year they got married.
The next year, she was getting weak. She kept puking up blood, and kept going back and forth to the hospital, she was getting very pale.
She knew her time was to go soon. She made everyone promise not to tell Toby
"You guys have to promise me something" she says weakly as she kept closing and opening her eyes
"anything, anything" Hanna cries as she grabs her hand and Emily grabs the other.
Spencer turned her head slowly and looked at Emily
"Don't tell Toby. All he ever wanted is to be happy. Please Emily don't tell him. AT least not now. Wait after 2 years" she slowly breathes
"I-I promise" she cries. Hanna and Emily let go of Spencers hand.
Trevor walks over to Spencer and gave her one last kiss
"I love you" he says
Spencer weakly smiles "I...love..you..too" she says. She closed her eyes and let out her last breath.
1 week later
The funeral happened. Everyone except Toby came (since he was unaware). It was an open casket. Though she was very pale she still looks gorgeous as ever.
Everyone one by one had a few things to say. Lot's were emotionally and some where funny.
Her dad got up there. He barley made it to his first words and he went over to the casket and cried "not my little girl". Jason and Caleb helped him up and sat him back down.
One of the strongest people had died.
Her husband Trevor cried through entire service and through the burial.
After that he was a widower. He took all his belongings and a teddy bear he gave Spencer in remembrance of her and went back to Ohio. He was never heard from again.
*flashback over*
Toby felt a rage of regret flowing in him. He deeply regretted everything that happened. He regrets leaving her that day, pretending she didn't exist.
"How could you guys do that to me?" He cries
"She wanted to tell you but she wanted you to be happy and not to be with her because of her sickness. She thought you would only stay because she was sick, not because you truly love her. You really broke her heart Toby, that hurt her way more than when you joined the A team and faked your death" Aria said
"This is so messed up" Toby says covering his wet face. "I'm never going to see her again". He walks past everyone and leaves.
He gets into his car and puts on his seatbelt. Before he started the car he started banging and punching the wheel. Cursing, screaming and crying. Not just because his friends didn't tell him Spencer died, but because Spencer died.
He was so mean and misunderstanding to her before he left her at the hospital. He blames her because of the miscarriage. It wasnt her fault. It happens to a lot of women but he was so ready to be a father. He will never forget those last words he said
*flashback*
"This is all your fault you worthless woman. Cant even give me what I want when I give you everything". He got up and left her to cry.
*flaahback over*
He calmed himself down and drove off somewhere.
- he got out the car and opened the gate to the place. He had a bouquet of her favorite flowers in his hand. He walked trying to look for the tombstone.
It took him a while but after a few mini he found it.
He couldn't believe it.
It's true. She's really dead.

He placed the flowers on the ground and sat down.
"Spencer.." he began. Water drops from his eyes
"I....im so sorry for how I treated you that night. I'm such a monster for saying those words. I know it wasn't your fault. I was so excited to finally to start a family with you. Then you had a miscarriage and I was angry. And I left and ignored you. You've done so much for me. You believed in me when no one didn't. You always fought for me, always defending me and I took that for granted. I don't tell you how much I love you. I..I love you Spencer." He cries as he lays down
"I'm so sorry" he says as he kiss the ground.
He slowly got up and kissed the tomb.
He walked out the graveyard and went back to his car. He got out his phone and texted Yvonne.
I found out my first love had died. I'm moving back to Rosewood to help out her family. I'm sorry but I can't do this anymore.
He press sent and tossed his phone on the passenger seat.
He looked at the window
"I'm sorry Spence". And drove away.
He knows an apology won't do anything anymore
He's too late.
