a/n So, a late chapter and a shitty one. Seriously, writers block has been hitting me hard. So, I apologize because your girl thought she would just be out last noon but turns out, she isn't a star in handling some booze... ANYWAY. Thank you soo so much for 6.6k! Hope you still enjoy the short-ish chapter x

"please, i ask you, whatever you are, save him from what is holding his oh so bright soul captive."

With folded hands, I sat by his bed, my head leaning on the mattress. Lips sore from whispering prayers, cries and anxiety. Eyes bloodshot from crying, rubbing and being awake. Hair messy from endless tugging, tangles and tying up. Six hours had gone by and he was still fast asleep. The slow but steady breaths flowing past his plump lips, his eyes tightly shut.

I was scared to look at him, his scars being an everlasting reminder of last night. I could feel Madam Pomfrey observing me carefully, knowing I was close to a mental break down. My eyes began to burn again, so I slowly lifted my head to look at the time. Half past seven. The sun began to shine and some birds where chirping loudly.

Suddenly Draco groaned and his eyelashes fluttered, trying to adjust to the new space. I was completely silent, my heart beating out of my chest. "Bloody hell." He whispered, turning his head to lay his eyes on me. Before I could say anything Miss Pomfrey pushed past me, quickly shutting the white blinds so I couldn't see what was going on.

I was speechless. He woke up and seemed fine, his vocabulary said enough. He was going to be fine. With trembling hands, I wiped away a fallen tear before quickly crossing my arms against my chest. I was cold and still barefoot. The yellow dress from Hermione had black stains all over it and I had no idea where I had left Ginny's heels

Madam Pomfrey opened the blinds after a few minutes, walking past me without a word. I didn't know what to do now that he had woken up. "Goldie." He mumbled while trying to sit up straight, only to wince in pain. "Draco, don't." I quickly said, rushing over to him. His bare chest was extremely distracting but the way his hand immediately went to my cheek, was way more interesting.

"Did you get hurt?" His eyes searched my face but I had nothing, except for make-up smudged eyes. "No, but you did." I whispered my eyes switching to his scars. "Thank god." He breathed out, pulling his hand from my face again. "We kissed." He suddenly said with a faint smile on his face. My cheeks turned red and Draco his eyes lit up for a second.

"We did." I smirked, slowly bringing my hand forwards, to brush a blonde strand of hair out of his face. "Did you like it, was I any good? I was kind of a mess and I promise you I could have done it a million-" "Shut up, will you?" I snickered, drawing random patterns on his bare arm. "Don't ignore what happened. Why were you crying?" I whispered, leaning closer to him.

It took him a second before completely shutting down. His eyes went droopy again and I could feel him getting emotional. "You can't become more involved than you already are." Was all he said before sighing and slouching down again. "Why won't you just accept that I am in this all, there is no way to keep me out of it." I told him but his eyes kept looking away.

I sighed once again before daring to let a small smile dance on my lips. Madam Pomfrey was silently reading some kind of paper so I softly drew the blinds shut before looking at Draco. "Scoot." He couldn't help but smirk while carefully making place for me. I slowly laid down against him, the warmth from his body radiating to mine.

I laid my head upon his chest while his bony fingers made their way through my tangled hair, softly brushing them out. Hearing and feeling his breaths was incredibly relaxing but mostly reassuring. That's how we stayed for a while until I could feel myself getting hungry so as Draco fell asleep again, I left the hospital wing to get myself freshened up.

As soon as I went through the door, I almost bumped into three other students. Blaise, Pansy and Theodore. Pansy was holding flowers, Blaise some fire whisky and Theo a box filled with chocolates. We all went silent, not knowing what to say. "He's asleep." I almost whispered, tugging at my dirty dress. Theodore walked past me, not bothering to give me any attention. Pansy quickly followed him, making sure to bump her shoulder into mine before entering the room.

Blaise just stood there, glaring at me before he all of a sudden, spoke up. "I heard you saved him." His face still showing much disapproval of me. "I guess." I mumbled, wanting to walk away from the pointless conversation he was trying to have. As soon as I moved, he moved along, blocking me in my way. "Thank you." He said with a struggle, his pride and ego too big. I decided to just accept it and leave, seeing no reason to tease him about it.

"No problem." His eyes shot to mine before I quickly walked past him now, hurrying to my common room. Everyone was in the great hall having their lunch so in all peace I took a shower, trying to wash off all the images of last night. I was extremely tired, the bags under my eyes almost black. It took me a hell of a lot time to get rid of the eyeliner but eventually, I managed to get it all off.

So, there I was, staring at myself in the mirror. How could I love someone like him? He had always been rude to a lot of students, wore the dark mark and came from a family full of evil people. Somehow he had become everything for me. It wasn't just his appearance. The way his heart fluttered just an hour ago, when I laid beside him. Or how he would blush when I kissed him on his cheek.

Suddenly I remembered our first kiss. Now my own cheeks turned completely red and I couldn't help but smile at my stupid reflection. "You love him to bits, don't you?" A sneering voice made me jump, my cheeks getting flustered even more. "Greer? Since when do you talk to me." I spat back, quickly walking towards her. "Answer my question." I raised my eyebrows before folding my arms against my chest.

Greer sighed loudly, letting her frown go. She held the bridge of her nose while keeping her frame against the door. "I apologize Goldie. I was being stupid." "I know." I muttered, quickly walking past her into our dorm. I quickly threw on my robes, not wanting to look at Greer. "Please accept my apology." She pleaded making me sigh. "Fine but just leave me alone for now, you know what happened and I just-" I quickly stopped talking, not wanting to think about the cruel events.

"Let's just go to the great hall for some lunch." Greer her eyes lit up and I slowly nodded in agreement before walking with me out of the dormitory's and the common room. We sat down at the Hufflepuff table and I silently began to eat before Hermione, Ron and Nicolas suddenly sat down around and in front of us.

"What happened." Hermione hissed, trying to get any kind of emotion from me. "Hasn't Harry told you." I groaned in annoyance, holding my head in my hand. "He hasn't no." Ron muttered causing a couple students around us to eavesdrop. "Then go ask him for Christ sake!" I spat, causing my plate to almost fall onto the ground, due to my sudden outburst. Ron backed away, muttering something that sounded like, Christ who is Christ? Before walking off with a shocked Hermione.

Greer smiled at me in sympathy before giving Nic a quick kiss on the lips. "How are you doing Goldie?" Nicolas asked, his voice sounded scared and uneasy. "Fine." I mumbled before finishing my plate. All I wanted to do was go back to Draco so within second I got up and walked out of the Great Hall, leaving Nic and Greer behind. My pace was hurried and as soon as I reached the hospital wing, I could see that he had no visitors.

"Hey." I softly started while giving him a sweet smile. "Looking a lot better, Dove." He smirked, sitting up straight, trying to hide his pain. I thought of something to talk about for a second while we just looked at each other, a dumb smile on each of our faces. I scooted a bit closer, making sure that no could hear me. "Have you heard anything from your mum or, you know who." I whispered, making him tense. He widened his eyes and looked like he could get mad any second.

"I don't want to talk about this, not with you." "Draco, I-" "No Goldie." He almost spat, making me lean back in the chair. "Really? Is this how you are going to handle this situation? Stop acting like I am some angel who has no idea that a real war is upcoming, and that you are the one to start it all!" I hissed, making him angrily turn his head. "All I ask of you, is to just let your feeling out. I know that it would be foolish of me to stop you, because that's just not the way the world works."

Draco furrowed his eyebrows in surprise before giving me a small glance. "I promise, I won't stand in anyone's way but just talk to me for Merlin's sake." As stubborn as he may have seemed, I knew that he wanted someone to talk to so badly. His eyes slowly wandered across the room and he eventually let them cross mine, tension building.

"Fine." He growled, balding his fists. "Tonight, 1 am, here." I tried to hide my surprise so I just nodded, slowly getting up from my seat. Draco looked away already, slouching back into his comfortable position. I wasn't going to let him brush me off like that so I walked closer to him, taking a quick look at his breath-taking appearance. "Goldie, what-"

Before he could say anything more I crashed my lips on his, giving him a loving kiss. In a couple seconds, I pulled away, leaving him confused and startled. With a cocky smirk I gave him one last look before turning around and walking away, loving the feeling of having Draco Malfoy in my grasp.
