Brown eyes are stupid. They're the color of my eyes, they're the color of yours. I used to compare every eye shade to yours and decide that they never compared to the warmth they held.

Oh, if only I had been using my eyes.

They work fine, but I'd been wearing rose colored lenses, tricky things to take off, really.

But even when you shake away the falsities, you're not left with anything. Because you didn't have anything to begin with.

I used to hate my brown eyes because they were plain. You always wanted your eyes to be a different hue, something vibrant.

I used to love your eyes, how they shined like mine.

And now I hate brown eyes.
