The Saturday morning smelled amazing. I had always been the one to sleep till noon, mornings just aren't my thing. "You missed breakfast!" Greer yelled causing me to grunt. "Stop yelling, I just woke up." "Took you a long time." She sneered making me giggle. While I slowly pried my eyes open, I took in Greer her clothes.

It was the first time I had seen her without her robes and she looked quite funny. She was wearing a brown dress that almost reached her ankles, matched with a white tee. A wide hat hid most of her wavy blonde hair. "Get out of bed. We were supposed to practice our spells and in a few hours there's a quidditch game. Gryffindor against Slytherin."

She sounded excited at the houses that were supposed to play the weird sounding game. "Quidditch?" I mumbled before letting out a loud moan. I slipped my feet off the bed and finally got up, stretching my arms. "You'll see. I think Rune is the new chaser." I raised my eyebrows before grabbing some clothes, getting ready after.

It felt good to wear something comfortable and known. My pink jumper smelled like home and I sure did miss my jeans. We both headed to the common room and found Nicolas reading on one of the wooden chairs near the fireplace. "Nicolas." I smiled while looking over his shoulder. He was reading a muggle book I had seen before.

"Are you seriously reading the little mermaid?" I snickered making his cheeks redden. "I see you have finally awakened from the dead and yes, it's interesting!" He defended, making me smile. "We're going to practice some spells near the lake, want to tag along?" Greer offered and his eyes lit up. "Sure! Wait for me."

He quickly got up and jogged up the stairs, probably getting his wand and books. "He's so cute." I snickered at Greer her remark. "Ask him out." I simply suggested but she was beyond shocked. "No, have you gone mad? He probably likes you." I rolled my eyes and wanted to point out that, that was based on nothing but his footsteps already came closer.

"Let's go." I followed the two down the many stairs and outside, I was greeted with a nice breeze and a clear sky. The days had gone colder since I first arrived so my Hufflepuf scarf, which did not match my sweater at all, kept me warm. We walked through the corridors and sat down near a tree.

Greer quickly grabbed her cup and her wand, before starting to try the spell. "Could you do it last time?" I asked Nicolas who nodded. "Well, not in class but two days ago I managed to fill my cup till the edge." "Great." I complimented softly, feeling slightly jealous.

How was I not able to simply make water appear when back home I could lift up all the furniture in my room without knowing any spells? There has to be a reason. "I can show you?" Nicolas broke the silence between us while interrupting my thoughts.

I nodded and he quickly scooted over, placing his hand on top of mine. He slowly lifted up my wand along with me before doing the motion extremely slow. "Now you." He said and as I was mimicking the movements, I couldn't help but get goose bumps all over me. His warm and soft hands touching mine did something to me.

"Just like that." We both did the motion a few times before I was brave enough to say the spell. All while this was happening, Greer kept sending me these wiggly eyebrows and perverted winks as if she was encouraging me and Nic.

I just wasn't sure about him because to be honest, a certain blonde would not leave my mind, ever. "Aguamenti." I said for the third time and suddenly I saw water filling my cup. Before I caught myself a loud squeal left my lips and I hugged Nic, his hands roaming my waist. I slowly pulled myself away from him, blushing like crazy.

"You should help Greer now." I suggested before getting up and walking towards the lake. I was thinking about father, Rune but mostly Draco until a girly voice caught my attention. Pansy was walking with Draco, who had a strange uniform on. I guess it had something to do with Quidditch.

The group of a dark skinned, not to forget handsome, boy and a girlfriend of Pansy where discussing something until they noticed my eyes following them. "That's Dove." The blonde girl sneered, causing everyone to look at me. What do I do, What do I do?

Panic overflowed me and before I knew it, Pansy and her friend were right across me, Draco and his friend slowly following. "Heard you mysteriously ended up in the hospital wing earlier this week. I'm really not into having another 'Potter' around."

I could see Draco tense up at Pansy talking about the hospital wing, him only feeding into my worries. "What is that supposed to mean?" I furrowed my eyebrows before crossing my arms. Nic came jogging over and stood beside me, wanting to grab my hand.

"Leave her." He demanded before I quickly pulled away my hand, feeling guilty afterwards. "Do you need your dog Clear to guard you or something?" The dark skinned boy scoffed making my face heat up in anger. "Actually I don't." I spat, causing Draco watch me carefully.

"You don't?" He stepped forwards, pushing between Pansy and the blonde. "No." I said through gritted teeth and I could feel Nicolas get anxious right beside me. "Are you sure that you belong to Hufflepuff because you really are a fierce one." He smirked, coming so close that his breaths hit my face.

"Blaise, leave her." Draco suddenly said, making Blaise raise his eyebrows. "I'll see you around." His voice became soft before he turned around and bluntly walked away from his friends. The blonde girl widened her eyes before sending me a jealous look and quickly walking after him.

"Let's go Draco." Pansy rolled her eyes at me before tugging Draco along, his eyes not leaving mine until he disappeared inside. Greer quickly rushed over, her eyes widened. "What happened?" She looked at Nic and then back at me but I had no idea how to explain what just happened

"She stood up to Malfoy and Zabini." Was all Nicolas said before returning back to our bags and books. "Is that all that happened?" Greer asked me, taking a step closer. "Yes Greer." I snapped before returning to my bags as well, gathering all my stuff. "I'll see you two at the Quidditch game."

"What?" "Goldie?" I ignored their calls and quickly went inside, almost running down the halls. My heart was beating out of my chest because of the overflow of adrenalin going through my veins. What the hell was Malfoy doing to me? With a clouded mind I entered the common room and dropped myself on one of the many couches.

I tried to clear my head and watched all the excited kids leaving the common room to see the game. "I really hope the Slytherin's win this time, we should wear Stacy her green scarfs tonight." A small smile creeped upon my lips as I watched the first years walk away. So the houses could combine after all.

A few moments later I got myself together and quickly grabbed my coat before following a group of girls who were talking about Quidditch. It was quite a walk down to a huge, almost like a, wooden arena which was crowded with green and red.

I walked with my head down, studying my torn up converse while I suddenly went on a staircase and ended up on a wooden bench. I looked up from my feet and watched the opposite bleachers for a few seconds before I realised I was seated between the Slytherin supporters.

A few older students were giving me strange looks while I hurried down the stairs again, afraid to bump into three particular Slytherins. "Came to support us?" I shut my eyes in anger before opening them, revealing Malfoy and Zabini holding two, broomsticks?

"Wrong side." I mumbled before walking past them, brushing arms with Draco. Shivers went up my spine while I turned around to face his piercing eyes that locked with mine. It took me a couple seconds to stop admiring him before I quickly kept on walking to all the Gryffindors.

When I finally found Greer I sat down without a word, glad that I was at the right place. "Thought you wouldn't show up." She almost yelled over all the students talking. Just when I wanted to reply an ear deafening sound erupted from the crowd.

A team of Red and Green flew up the sky, on freaking broomsticks! The crowd was screaming excitedly while they all got up from their seats, Greer joining them. It seemed as if Nicolas didn't show up, which made me worry. What if it was because of me?

I tried to ignore the guilty feeling and scanned the teams, seeing Harry and Ron on their broomsticks, along with Rune who seemed to be keeping his balance pretty well. I peered over to the rival team and saw Malfoy stare into the distance while Zabini was looking around the crowd with a judging look on his face.

Soon enough the game started and it was really hard to follow, people racing across the sky. A voice kept telling the people what was happening and I really enjoyed his comments, knowing he was picking a strong side for Gryffindor.

He would even get angry, causing McGonagall to interrupt him and causing me to giggle. I watched Ron keep most of the quaffles away and Rune did help the team with some scores. Suddenly Harry raised his hand with a bright smile on his face and Gryffindor got granted hundred and fifthy points, ending the game.

Our side of the bleachers shot up from their seats and cheered loudly while I couldn't help but search Draco's face. He didn't seem as angry as I had imagined, he didn't cared at all. His mind was somewhere else, just as it has been since he's been here.

People where leaving already, probably to congratulate the players in their common room and Greer was nowhere to be seen so I headed down as well, following the people once again. When we walked past all the Slytherin's I spotted Blaise and decided to just go up to him.

I noticed how people would talk about Slytherin's being evil and nothing more, but how the Gryffindor's and their supporters would talk and laugh about the opposite team made them nothing better. "Blaise!" I called as I watched him stop in his tracks, a permanent frown on his face.

"It's my first time watching Quidditch, but you were good." I said in one breath, ignoring the terrified feeling in the pit of my stomach. His eyes travelled from my feet to my eyes and he couldn't help but scoff.

"Thanks Hufflepuff." He grinned for about a second before going back to his frown. "Where's Draco?" I widened my eyes as soon as I realised what I had just asked and Blaise did as well. "What's up with you and him? He doesn't even know your name." My heart stopped and it hurt.

Didn't he? I even introduced myself. "Really? I-?" Suddenly the wooden entry behind Blaise opened and it revealed Draco, who stopped in his tracks. "What are you doing here again, Goldie." My eyes darted to Blaise who raised his eyebrows before turning to Draco to avoid my eyes.

"I just wanted to tell you that you did well, despite losing" I smiled at Draco before crossing my arms and leaving while smiling to myself, I had just proved Zabini wrong and I couldn't help but feel good. The way back to the castle wasn't as long as I remembered because within a few minutes I was back in the common room and a smile was still plastered on my face.

I spotted Greer sitting on someone's lap but I didn't think much of it so I wandered over until I recognized who she was sitting on. "Hey Nic." I forced out of my lips and stiffly sat down across them, not knowing where to look.

"Did you enjoy the game?" Greer broke the tense air, because Nicolas hadn't said a word to me. "I really did! Rune did well and Malfoy-" "I'm done hearing about him and you. He's horrible to everyone around him, I can't understand how you want to be around someone like that." Where did this come from?

"You don't even know him!" I defended while Greer quickly got up from his lap, noticing how heated this was getting. "Neither do you! You literally arrived here for the first time about, what? A week ago? And you can't fix him or make him good Goldie. You need to figure yourself out and realise that good people are basically throwing themselves at your feet!"

It turned silent around us, people starting to notice the argument. I was speechless for a second, he was talking about himself, wasn't he? "Nicolas! I'm not trying to fix him!" I shot up from my chair and clenched my fists, getting angrier by the second.

"All I'm trying to do is figure out who did that to me!" I lied to him and myself. I knew he was interesting to me and I mostly wanted to get to know him, rather than find out that he was actually the one who put me in the hospital wing for whatever reason.

He got up as well and hovered over me but I didn't flinch. "Just sort yourself out." He growled through gritted teeth while staring down at me. "Asshole." I pushed him out of the way and stormed up the stairs to the girl's dormitories before throwing myself on my bed, screaming in my pillow.

What a twat.
