I awoke in a cold sweat from a horrible and quite embarrassing dream.
'I really hope that wasn't a memory,' I mumble to myself as I sat up and rubbed my eyes.
In the dream I had gone to a dance with Luke and everything was going fine until Chelsea had arrive in it. We fought and I told her off at the dance, but she got the last word by pushing me face first into a cake.
Ugh I can't get away from this girl, she in now showing up in my dreams.
I rolled over in my bed to check the time and it was only 5 o'clock, yet I was wide awake. Deciding that sleep wasn't an option I threw off my covers and slid mself into a pair of shorts, a tank top, and my running shoes.
If I'm up early I might as well go for a run. I put in my earphones and quietly made my way through the kitchen. I stepped outside and took a deep breath in, the air was crisp at this time of day and I could see the fog floating threw the trees and empty paddocks. I put on some Arctic Monkeys and I set off on my trail towards the town.
I was running for about 10 minutes and I could see the town from afar. I was looking down at my phone to change the song when I felt a body hit me so hard that I was soon on my ass.
"Watch where you're going!" I heard the voice above me yell as I pulled myself off the floor.
"Why don't you watch where you're going!" You could have easily gone around!" I yelled back.
I brushed myself off and finally looked up to see Kyle standing there enraged at me.
Not wanting to deal with him right now I just pushed around him to leave, but he grabbed my arm and pulled me back to face him before I could get away.
"So how is you little boyfriend Lukey?" He said with a sly smirk.
"It's none of your bsiness, and his name is Luke," I snapped back with an annoyed tone as I rolled my eyes at him.
"How are you and your little girlfriend Chelsea?" I shot back turning the tables.
"Oh she's just something to pass the time," he smirked.
"You're sick," I looked at him disgusted.
"Ya well I'm not here to talk about me, I'm here to talk about you. So make sure you tell your pathetic boyfriend to watch his back, because you're mine," he said the last part in almost a whisper.
Usually I would just shut my mouth and take stupid comments like this in the past, but not aymore. I felt a rush of confidence flow through my veins.
"Is that a threat?" I asked poking his chest.
"No. Just a warning." He narrowed his eyes at me and I stared him down to show that I wasn't scared off him.
"Goodbye Kyle," I finally said before I turned around and walked away. I was about 10ft away when I decided that this conversation wasn't over just yet.
"Oh and Kyle, you are half the man Luke is and I don't ever plan to be yours again. Have a nice life." I smiled sweetly and with that siad I turned around and began to jog towards the town.
I felt his eyes burn into my back as I jogged away. I chuckled to myself as I knew that I had finally got the last word.
I reached the steps of the Hudson Cafe and check the time to see that it was 6 o'clock, opening time, but Theresa would definatly not be here yet. I swung open the door to hear the chime and I took a seat on a stole at the counter to order.
"Hi honey. How are you?" Theresa's mom asked with a cnfused look as if to say 'why are you here so early.'
"I'm good Sandra. I just couldn't sleep," I replied.
"Ah rough night?" She asked while cleaning up the counter.
"I guess you could say that," I said with a small laugh.
"So what can I get you? It will be on the house," she offered.
"Just a coffee please," I responded back giving a grin. She walked through the kitchen doors and I was there alone twiddling my thumbs.
I was caught up in my own thoughts when someone sat down beside me. There was an etire empty restaurant and he had to sit right next to me?
Sandra emerged from the kitchen with a mug of coffee and haded it to me, she then turned her attention to the boy beside me.
"What can I get you hun?" She asked.
"I don't know, what's good here?" He responded back.
"The lattes are excellent," I budded in.
"Then I'll have that," he said with a smile.
I was finally able to get a good look at him, he had dark brown hair and brown eyes almot black. To be honest he was quite attractive.
"You're not from around here, are you?" I asked.
"Nah just moved into the Ridges Ranch, which is now Briar Creek." He explained and flashed me a smile. God his smile was to die for.
Sandra came out and handed him his latte.
"Oh we are basically neighbours," I said with a giggle.
"What type off farm do you run?" I added in.
"We take care of race horses," he replied before taking a sip of his drink.
"That's so cool, maybe I'll stop by sometime this week," I said but look at him to see if he was alright with that.
"Ya that would be great," he smiled.
This small talk went on for aother twenty minutes or so before I checked the time and realized I should head back before people started to get worried.
"Well I better get going, but I'll see you around," I said while getting up.
"Wait I never got your name," he said gently grabbing my arm.
"I'm Kait." I said as I stuck out for him to shake my hand.
"Nice to meet you Kait, I'm Aaron," he said placing his hand in mine. I smiled and slipped my hand out of his noticing that he put something in it and walked out the door.
I stepped outside and it was a little warmer than before and I opened my hand to find a folded up napkin inside. I unraveled it and to find his number written out on it. I saved it to my phone and began to job back home.
I ran up the long drive way and it was now close to 7:30. Everyone would be up for sure by now so I didn't bother being quite when walking into the house.
I walked in and threw off my shoes, only Danica was in the kitchen.
"Hey can you put a bagle in the toaster for me," I asked. She did exactly that and then began to teased me.
"So how was you date with Luke?" She cooed.
"I don't know? How is the boy you like? Oh what's his name..... Andrew?" I taunted back.
"How did you know!" She yelled.
"You should really talk quieter on the phone next time," I responded laughing.
With that I grabbed my bagle and ran to my room before she could freak out. I jumped on my bed and opened up twitter to see what's happening.
Everything was same old same old, but there was one thig that caught my eye.
A shit load of people were asking if Luke and I were dating.
I didn't feel like anwering them right away so I just shut down my computer and headed for a shower.
The entire time I was in the shower I couldn't keep my mind from drifting off and thinking of Aaron. Don't get me wrong I like Luke...a lot, but I couldn't help to think of Aaron. I stepped out and dried myself with the towel and then walked into my room.
I squeezed into some ripped jeans, tucked in my white tank top, threw a sweater over top, and put on my black vans along with my pink beanie. I brushed my teeth and applied the regular make-up.
I stepped outside and it was ow 8:30. I could see the boy letting out the horses so I ran over to help them.
"Morning boys," I yelled as I grab Clover.
"Morning," they all said in sync.
Luke approached me and slung his free arm over my shoulder and kissed the side of my forehead,
"Where were you this morning?" He asked.
"Just for a run into town, and I met our new neighbour. He's our age and pretty cool," I filled them in but Luke's face dropped a little by this.
"Ohhh Kaity thinks he's cute!" Beau yelled to piss Luke off.
"Ya he's alright," I nodded my head.
"Oh Luke's got some competition," Jai shouted and laughed.
I could see Luke getting more and more annoyed by the second.
"He's cute, but he has nothing on you," I whispered into his ear and he smiled again and let out a little laugh.
We had now brought all the horses out to the paddock and had finished our chores.
"You wanna do a video with us today?" Luke asked.
"Sure. Will this be the first video I am in?" I asked unsure.
"Nah you were in two others, we can show you them if you want," Jai answered my question.
"Ya sure let me just go fix my hair," I said walking away.
"You look fine," Beau yelled annoyed.
"Just get it set up, I'll be out in a second," I said with a laugh.
