Chapter 30

Five days later, and I was still at Andy’s place. He didn’t seem to mind though. We spent our days staying in and watching films or going out, just walking and talking. It was so nice and….refreshing to be with someone so close to me, who knew me like no one else.

I was surprised that Harry hadn’t found me yet. My heart ached at the thought of him, and Andy noticed my change in mood as we walked down the street with coffees in our hands, walking back to his house.

“What’s wrong?” He asked.

I sniffed, and looked at my cup. “I was just thinking.”

He nodded. “You miss him.” It wasn’t a question.

I nodded, too, and looked ahead at nothing in particular. “Yeah, I do.”

“Then what’s stopping you?”

I sighed and took a sip. “I honestly have no idea.” I smiled at him. “I guess I’m having too much fun here.”

Andy cracked a smile too as we walked down his street, and he pulled out the keys. But a few paces from his driveway he stopped and stared. Someone was sitting on the front steps, huddled in a tight ball.

Harry.

“Oh my god…” I gasped. Andy turned to me, eyebrows raised. I couldn’t respond though, I was too focused on the curly-haired guy that was standing only meters away.

We walked to Andy’s door, my eye contact never breaking with Harry. My eyes watered at the sight of him standing there, with his jeans, converse and hair tucked in a black beanie. I couldn’t believe he was in front of me. After three whole days, he finally found me. I was so happy to see him, joy filling me from head to toe. Andy and I reached him, stopping a few feet from Harry.

But I didn’t stop there. I ran to him and threw my arms around his neck, burying my face in his shoulder. I felt his strong arms hold me tightly while his nose nuzzled in my hair. While he was holding me, I had never felt safer in my life. It felt so right to be in his arms. I breathed in his familiar scent, then pulled away to look into his green eyes. They sparkled as he smiled widely.

Andy cleared his throat behind us. “Can we go inside? I’m freezing over here.”

“Sure,” I giggled.

The warmth of the house greeted us once the door was shut. The three of us awkwardly took off our jackets. It was very strange to have Andy and Harry in the same room. I don’t know why, but I could see Harry staring at Andy angrily, fists clenching and unclenching. When my eyes flicked over to the short-haired guy, I saw he was avoiding eye contact. I groaned.

“Harry, this Andy,” I said sweetly, trying to break the tension, “and Andy, this is Harry.” They shook hands.

“It’s nice to finally meet you.” Andy said nervously.

“Likewise,” Harry forced a smile, and then he turned to me. “Can we talk?”

I nodded then turned to Andy. “We’ll be upstairs.” He nodded and I gave him a weak smile.

When Harry and I entered the master bedroom, he slammed the door behind us. I jumped and slowly turned to see him breathing heavily. He was not happy with me. He strode over, until he was only a foot from me.

“Why did you leave? You scared the fuck out of me.” He hissed and I shrunk back a little.

“I-I was scared.” I replied quietly.

His features softened as he grabbed my hands in his large ones. “And I could have helped you. But when I woke you were gone, and I-I don’t know why…”

I placed a hand on his chest. “My mum and dad, they said…and when you…”

Harry’s eyebrows came together as he searched my eyes. “I am so sorry, Amabel. You have no idea. I will never forgive myself.” He kissed my hands all over, turning them around in his.

I closed my eyes and breathed in deeply. “I was going to come home.” I said simply.

Harry’s head snapped up. “What?”

“I was going to come home.” I repeated. “I wasn’t planning on staying here forever, you know.”

“Then why did you leave in the first place?” He asked a little too harshly, dropping my hands.

“Because I was confused, and needed a little time to think.” My voice rose a little.

“About what?” Harry snapped.

“Everything!” I yelled, throwing my hands up in the air. “It isn’t being Harry Styles’s girlfriend!”

His eyes widened. “Why didn’t you say something before?” he screamed and took a step back.

“I know you’re always so busy, a-and it’s not a big deal, Harry!” Tears stung my eyes. This was our first huge fight. We had fights before, but they were over little things, and we always made up right after. This was different.

“Obviously it is, if it’s making you this upset!” He spread his arms and looked at me like I was crazy.

“It’s not just that, Harry!” I screamed and threw my hands up again.

“What else is there?!” he ran his hand through his curls over and over. “You know what? I think I know. You’re screwing that bastard!” He pointed to the door.

“Andy?!” My jaw dropped. “I can’t believe you! I would never do something like that!”

“Oh please!  He is so obviously in love with you, Amabel! Have you seen the way he looks at you?” Harry bellowed, face going red with anger.

“You’re being an ass! He doesn’t love me, and I don’t love him, so leave it the hell alone, will you?” The thought of Andy and I together was ludicrous!

“Why should I believe you? Hu? How can I trust you, knowing that you ran away to live with some guy?”

“He isn’t some guy, Harry, and I’m not living with him! He was the only person I trusted when all this happened. Shit! What is your problem?” I ran my fingers through my hair in frustration.

“What the hell is yours?” He spat. “How do I know you’re not cheating on me?”

I closed my eyes, a single tear trickling down. “Because I'm in love with you!” I shouted, and regretted the words as soon as they came out. Harry stared at me with wide eyes and mouth open. I wiped away the tear and paused before started for the door.

But Harry stopped me. He grabbed my wrist and shoved me against the nearest wall, trapping me by having his body only centimeters from touching mine. My breath hitched in my throat as my heart beat increased. I could feel his hot breath on my face as he leaned in closer. His curls tickled my forehead as he forced our bodies together, leaving no space between us whatsoever. And then he crashed our lips together, hands holding my waist to keep me from escaping.

At first I didn’t kiss him back, but he bit my bottom lip, making me open my mouth so he could slip his tongue inside. My fingers tangled themselves in his hair, and his hands traveled to my backside, squeezing tightly, signaling for me to jump. I did, wrapping my legs around his waist. Once again, my back was slammed to the wall as our lips moved in sync. I played with the little hairs on the back of his neck, causing him to release a throaty moan. Eventually, we had to breathe, so he pulled away, but kept our foreheads touching. Our breathing was quick, chests rising and falling rapidly.

“I love you, too,” He breathed, and then kissed my lips softly. I smiled widely and continued to play with his hair. “I’m so sorry. Come home with me.”

I but my lip and nodded a few times. “I’m sorry, too.” I whispered.

Harry set me down on the ground, and took my hand before leading me downstairs.

“Is everything okay? I heard yelling.” Andy stood from the couch and saw us holding hands, and then smiled. “Everything okay?”

I smiled up at Harry. “Yeah, everything’s fine.” Harry snaked an arm around my waist. “Andy, can I talk to you?”

I took Andy and me to the kitchen, and closed the door.

“A-are you leaving?” he asked sadly.

I took a deep breath. “Yeah, Andy, I am. But I wanted you to know how much I love you. You have always been like a brother to me.” He looked at me with sad eyes. “Thank you so much for letting me stays here with you. I owe you so much.”

He looked at the ground. “I love you too, Am. You’re welcome.”

I smiled and pulled him into a hug. His arms wrapped around my waist and I could feel tears stinging my eyes. “I’m going to miss you.”

Andy sniffed. Was he crying? “I’m going to miss you too.”

I smiled slightly. “Andy Jonathan McCullers, are you crying?”

“N-no.” he protested, wiping away the obvious evidence that he had been crying.

I smiled wider. “It’s not like I’m moving or anything. You can still come and visit.” I reminded him.

He half-smiled. “I’m so taking you up on that offer.”

“You better.” I joked, and smacked his arm.

He nodded to the door. “Go.”

I kissed his cheek and gave him another hug. “Thank you.” I whispered, and then ran to Harry.

“Ready?” he asked, showing me his cute dimples.

“Yeah, just let me pack my stuff first.” I started to the stairs, but Harry caught my hand.

“I already got them for you.” He smirked, and I planted a small kiss on his lips.

“The sooner we can get home, the better.” I said as we walked to the car.

“The boys miss you.” Harry told me once we were driving.

I cringed. “Are they mad at me?”

Harry flipped his curls out of his face. “No, they’re just worried about you.”

“I missed them.” I sighed.

“They miss you, too,” Harry chuckled, “A little too much, I think.”

I swatted his arm. “Come on! They’re like the big brothers I never had!”

He took my hand. “You have no idea how worried I was.” His voice deepened, and when I looked at him, his eyebrows were coming together as he stared at the road.

I played with my hands in my lap. “I’m sorry.”

His expressions softened. “I know. I just didn’t want to lose you. You mean too much to me.”

I took a deep breath. “So what happens now?”

“Now,” he grabbed my hand, “Now, we go home. Your parents were worried too.”

I just nodded and stared out the window, thinking. About Andy, mostly. I honestly felt terrible for leaving him so suddenly. It was so kind of him to let me stay with him for as long as I did, and I just left, just like that.

Running away was my way of dealing the problem. How lame was that?

Was I a terrible person?

I'M BACK FROM HAWAII!

That was the best vacation ever! I am so sorry I wasn't able to update, the Internet connection at my hotel was terrible. I had a blast! I tanned by the pool, swam in the pacific ocean, went snorkeling, and hiked up the canyon!

I hope you liked this chapter! (: I'll update again on Wednesday. Again, sorry for the setback.

xoxo, Alli
