*Shashwat's POV*
During lunchtime , I was standing near the water tap, maintaining the line of Students. Suddenly my attention was diverted by the sight of Siya, moving towards the water tap, seemingly flipping her I'D card and talking to Arushi and Richa.
Wait what?? ID card?? How? She was saying that she hadn't brought her ID card.
A sudden realisation dawned as I reflected on the morning's events. Siya, who had earlier said that she hadn't brought her ID card, was now flipping it casually. And suddenly I remembered that she was keeping something inside her pocket secretly. That means she was hiding her identity card. But why? Why did she want punishment without any fault?
Was that because she wanted to stand near me? No no!! No one wants to get punished for just standing close to someone.
But she can.
"Tujhe lunch nahi karna kya? Chal canteen me." My thoughts were broken by Reyansh's voice and we headed towards the canteen.
[Don't you have to do lunch? let's go.]
*POV ends*
The canteen buzzed with activity as Siya moved towards the line.
"Bhaiya ek cold drink dena." She ordered.
[Give me one cold drink]
"We have only one canteen left and he ordered it first." The man said pointing at Shashwat who was standing just beside her already looking at her. Siya felt a sudden rush of excitement as an unexpected encounter made her stomach flutter .
"It's ok tum le lo. Bhaiya give this one to her." He said and left from there before she could deny like last time.
[It's ok you can take it.]
Siya took it and approached the table where he sat with his best friend.
"Bhai aaj ham aapke sath ghar jayenge." She said leaning towards Reyansh.
[Bro I will go home with you.]
Reyansh nodded, and she left their table. Shashwat, glancing at his lunch, noticed a cold drink bottle placed there.
The memory of leaving bread pakora for her flashed in his mind as he felt a sudden flutter in his stomach as a soft blush painted in his cheeks. A shy smile played on his lips as he picked the bottle of cold drink.

In the bustling classroom, the chemistry teacher was explaining to them the chapter of atomic structures while Siya , Arushi and Richa were passing notes to each other discussing their outfits in wedding functions.
"Aree Sangeet me ham teeno lavender colour ki dress pehen ke twinning karenge." Arushi wrote on the last page of her notebook and passed it to them.
[In Sangeet we will do twinning by wearing lavander colour's dress.]
"Haan Flipkart ya Amazon se order kar ke sangeet ke din pehen ke return kar denge. Because mummy won't let me buy a new dress for every function." Siya wrote on the same page .
[Yes we will order from Amazon or Flipkart and return that after wearing.]
"Yes she is right." Richa also agreed.
"As we know your half yearly exams are going to start from day after tomorrow.. so I will send you the pattern paper to solve." Teacher said and they snapped their heads towards her.
"Yaar pata nahi kiske sath baithenge exam me. I wish koi aisa senior baithe jo answer bataye."Siya said, closing her eyes.
[Don't know with whom we will sit im exam.]
"Bas Shashwat bhaiya ke sath na baith jana. Otherwise you will fail in the exam. He won't let you cheat ." Arushi said .
[I wish you don't sit beside Shashwat's bhaiya.]
"Unke sath baithne ka mauka mil jaye phir to hame fail hona bhi mazur hai." Siya said with dreamy eyes.
[I accept to get failed in exam if I will sit near him.]
"Abbe oo ashiq uncle ke samne bhi yahi kehna fail hone ke baad." Richa said .
[Say this infront of uncle after getting failed.]
"Arre Half yearly exams hi to hai. Isme kon pass hota hai!!" She said, yawning.
[Who wants to get pass in half yearly.]
"Behen exams ke results ke kuch hi din baad we have to go to Udaipur for the wedding . Tujhe jana hai ya nahi? Imagine results dekh ke agar uncle ne mana kar diya jaane se to?" Arushi said.
[Bro we have to go to Udaipur after results. Imagine if uncle denied you to go there after results?]
"Haan yaar.. ye to problem ho jayega. Let's study together. Aaj ham dono tumhare ghar aayenge." Siya said to Arushi and she nodded in agreement.
After the bell rang they moved towards the library forming a line.
As they entered inside the library, Siya's joy knew no bounds when she realised Shashwat's class was also there.
Arushi chose the seat in front of Reyansh and received a small but warm smile from him. Akash quickly moved to another seat, making space for Richa, who sat beside him, making him grin.
Siya looked at the empty seat in front of Shashwat Before anyone else could grab it, she secured her spot. She looked at him, who was engrossed in his book. Siya couldn't help but find herself captivated by the features of his face. She admired the way his lashes cast soft shadows on his cheeks, and the occasional quirk of his lips hinted at the emotions stirred by the words he read. She found beauty in the simplicity of his expressions.
Shashwat who was engrossed in his book diverted his gaze to Siya who was already admiring him keeping her hand on her chin. Siya quickly averted her gaze , pretending to focus on her own book, a subtle blush colouring her cheeks.
Shashwat, who never looked anywhere else when he was with his books , found himself stealing glances, and Siya. First time he wasn't able to concentrate on his books as he found his new distraction.
A beautiful distraction.
Siya continued to glance at him when she thought he wasn't looking.
In the midst of their stolen glances the familiar sound of a bell rang and everyone began to shuffle out, forming a line.
As Shashwat passed through her she found a small note beside her on the table. Curiosity brimming, Siya picked up the note and unfolded it.
"Thank you for the cold drink." Was written in beautiful handwriting with a cute smiley emoji drawn.
A sudden rush of emotions flooded Siya. It felt like a zoo had come alive in her stomach, and an overwhelming joy made her want to dance through the entire school.
Siya decided to respond to the note from Shashwat as it was easier for her to talk in text instead of talking to him directly. Tearing half page from her notebook she wrote something.
"Siya kya kar rahi hai wahan baithe - baithe? Bhaiya chale gaye hain ab kya unke bhut ko dekh rahi baith ke? Chal." Arushi said, coming towards her .
[Siya let's go. What are you doing there? Bhaiya is not there. Are you staring at his ghost?]
"Kuch nahi. Chal." She said and they moved towards their corridor.
[Nothing.]
She reached her corridor thinking about the idea to give the note to him. Just as Shashwat was leaving his classroom, as school was over.
"Tum dono jaa ke hamara bag lekar aao na. I need to drink water." Siya made an excuse and they both nodded moving towards the classroom.
[Please go and bring my bag.]
Siya, with a subtle cough, gained Shashwat's attention and intentionally dropped her handkerchief near him . Shashwat looked at her and bent down to pick it up, Siya also bent down and picked her handkerchief quickly, leaving the note on the floor.
Shashwat, noticing the note, picked it up before anyone else could spot it. He went towards a corner and unfolded the chit.
"That was for bread pakora. All the best for exams *smiley*"
A shy smile played on Shashwat's lips as he turned back to look for Siya, but she had vanished. He carefully placed the note inside his diary, tucked it back into his school bag.

On examination day, the school buzzed with the nervous energy of students searching for their alloted classrooms. Some students were revising the chapters and some were making plans for cheating. I found my way to my allotted seat and found Akash and Arushi were sitting together on the first bench of the second row. Their expressions were like they were handed a life imprisonment rather than an exam paper. Reyansh and Richa were in another classroom and I think she also must be in other classroom.
Just as Siya entered inside the classroom and chuckled at Arushi who was looking at her with sad pout. She scanned the classroom finding her alloted seat.
"Siya Malhotra? That is your seat." She told pointing near my seat.
Her face lit up with a glow of happiness listening this but she tried her best to control her smile. Taking small steps she reached near my bench and took her seat . I noticed a silent exchange between Arushi and Siya as Arushi turned her head back towards Siya. Arushi was signaling something to Siya with mischievous wink. Siya responded with a mock glare, as if scolding Arushi.

Suddenly, I spotted Akash giving me a teasing look, signaling with actions that Siya and I looked good together. Ohh God!! This Idiot!! I throw a sharp glares at him.
"Konsa exam hai?" I asked breaking the silence.
[Which exam do you have?]
"English." She replied in low voice and I nodded.
"Aapka?" She asked after few minutes.
[You?]
"Maths." I replied.
After a while, the teacher began distributing the answer sheets and question papers.
"Excuse me ma'am!!" I heard Siya's voice and looked at her as she continued.
"Ma'am aaj to English ka exam hai. Aapne galti se chemistry ka paper de diya hai ." She said and everyone looked at her as she was an alien.
[Ma'am today is English exam. You have given chemistry's paper.]
"Beta what are you saying? Today is your chemistry's exam." Teacher told her.
"No ma'am aaj English ka exam hai." Arushi also said .
"No beta I have checked properly. It's chemistry exam." Teacher said and they both looked at each other with wide eyes. I glanced at her face, and she nervously gulped.
"You should have checked the date sheet properly," I said in a low voice. She looked at me with a tensed expression.
"Class, start writing your paper." Teacher said and everyone started writing their exams.
I examined her answer sheet and noticed she was jotting down things not even in the entire book. I couldn't make sense of what she was writing.
"What are you writing? It's wrong," I said, and she glanced at me.
I guided her on the correct answer, and she noted it down.
As the exam proceeded, I was not only focusing on my own paper but also helping her with answers.
"This is enough to get passing marks. Thank you," she said, interrupting me. I couldn't help but wonder why she settled for just passing marks when she could aim for more.
What struck me even more was that 'Shashwat Rajvansh,' who never liked anyone to cheat and never allowed anyone to cheat in exams, found himself aiding her in this act.
From saving her from the teacher's scolding to helping her in cheating, I found myself doing things I never imagined.
She is making me do all these things which I never wanted.
As the exam concluded, a wave of relief swept over the room as everyone gathered their belongings to stow them back into their bags. I opened my bag and discovered a note inside, and I guessed who kept this inside.
"Thank you for helping me. Ye udhar raha hamare upar." I read the note unfolding it. I couldn't help but chuckle at the note and carefully tucked it back into my bag.
[This is a debt on me.]
"Udhar!" I repeated her words with a small chuckle moving towards Akash.
[Debt!]

The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as the exams finally came to an end. Now, everyone's focus shifted to the upcoming destination wedding in Udaipur. In the living room, Siya and her sisters gathered, eager for the discussions about the preparations between their parents.
"To kitni saree leni hai aur kya kya Lena hai abhi sabki list bana lo. We will buy it today only." Harsh said and Tara nodded.
[Make a list of the number of saree and the things you have to buy.]
"Mummy hamare dresses?? We want a dress for tilak, one for mehndi and one for wedding and another for reception." Ritika said in between their discussion.
[Our dresses?]
"Itne sare dresses kyun chahiye? Last year I brought two new dresses for you three. Wear that one for Tilak." Tara said making their face fell.
[Why do you want this much dresses?]
"And for Sangeet and reception?" Siya asked.
"Sangeet me wo vala suit pehen lena jo iss baar Mishti Didi ki shadi me pehna tha . Reception ke liye le aayenge." Tara said.
[Wear that one suit in Sangeet which you wore in Mishti Didi's Sangeet.]
"Mummy usko do teen baar pehen chuke hain. Sabne dekh liya hai wo dresses." Divya said and they both nodded.
[Mummy we wore that too many times.]
"Tara why are you denying. You are also buying new dresses so they also should." Harsh said making them grin.
"We will give you money. Go and buy the dresses you want for yourself. But you will get only two new dresses. Tilak aur Sangeet me ek dusre ke dresses exchange kar ke pehen lena." Tara said and they grinned nodding their heads.
"Now go and check your bags and belongings again. We have to leave for udaipur tomorrow only." Harsh said and they nodded moving towards their rooms.
"What about your science exhibition Didi?" Siya asked to Ritika as they stepped up towards their room.
"Ohh that is postponed. I can enjoy the wedding properly." She said and grinned.
"But Didi aapki to lottery nikal gayi. Shashwat bhaiya will be there too. Ab to aapke pyar ki gadi track pe aa ke rahegi." Divya said with a teasing smile.
[Didi Shashwat bhaiya will also be there. Now your love story will take next step.]
"Dekhte hain." Siya said and winked at her.
