Summary: You finally realize the mistake you made.
Ririka looked over at Mary who was deep in thought. After you had left to search for Ana, Ririka took it upon herself to bring you back. Kirari had wanted to join her but it wouldn't be a good idea after what had happened at Ana's place. The two of them argued back and forth until Mary volunteered to go with Ririka. The two sisters were reluctant to bring her along after seeing how Mary had been affected by your leave.
"You really do love her, don't you?"
Ririka finally asked, no longer wanting to sit in silence.
Mary continues to look out the window as she answered.
"Unfortunately. I'm a fool for letting my guard down around her. I knew from the beginning that she still loved Ana but I was foolish enough to believe that she would've forgotten about her and focused on me."
From the girl she knew in high school, Mary had changed. Gone was the girl that was angry at the world and instead it was replaced by a girl in love.
"You're not a fool. I know my sister and she takes everything seriously. Apart from the cheating, (y/n) was devoted to you. She wanted to make the best out of the situation that Kirari had put you in since she knew that you had also been forced into the life plan."
A bitter laugh escapes Mary.
"Right. Lets not forget the fact that our marriage was arranged. Neither of us wanted to be married. I should've known better."
Ririka didn't know what to say. It felt like everything she said was just making things worse. If only Kirari hadn't forced the two of you into a life plan, maybe things would've been different.
"We're almost there."
The rest of the ride was silent.

"This way." The man leads the two of them through the office until arriving at his office. He stops in front of his door before turning to look at the two of them. "I've provided all the details to Ms. Momobami as you asked."
Mary looked over at Ririka with a raised brow, confused about who this man was. She thought the two of them would be searching all over the city for you. Knowing how much influence the Bami clan had in the country, she should've known that it wouldn't take long to find you.
"Thank you. We'll let you know if you need anything."
The detective excuses himself and leaves. Ririka waits until the man is gone before walking in. Inside, the two of them find you staring at a piece of paper. You looked like you hadn't slept in days. Ririka felt bad for what she had done but it needed to be done. Ana had done so much damage to their family and she wasn't going to stand for it any longer.
"How long have you known?"
You look up to face Ririka. Your eyes were red, swollen and your cheeks were tear-stained letting them see that you must've been crying for hours.
"About what?"
Mary stays by the door while Ririka moves to sit on the chair besides you.
"That she never loved me. That she was using me. All I ever was to her was a piggy bank?"
Ririka attempted to take the pictures from you but you pulled them out of her reach. She leans back on her chair as she began to explain how everything had started. How she learned of Kirari's plan since high school and realizing that things hadn't ended with Ana. That she realized that you were going to need proof that Ana wasn't in love with you in order to finally let her go.
"....she got careless and that's when the detective started taking pictures of everything. This was about a year ago. I wanted to tell you but I knew that you were going to need more. Kirari didn't know what I was doing so you can't be mad at her. I was going to tell you next month but Kirari forcing Ana to leave wasn't something I expected. I wasn't aware that Kirari knew that Ana was still in your life."
You crumple the picture in your hands and toss it in the trash. You had wasted years being Ana's puppet. It felt like a weight had been lifted off your shoulders and it felt nice. It still hurt to think about how Ana used you but it was a relief. Your relationship with your sisters had been ruined by your ex and you wanted to repair it.
"I'm sorry, Ririka."
"You're apologizing to the wrong people."
Ririka's eyes move to meet Mary's. Turning around to see what she was looking at you finally realize that Mary was also in the room and you suddenly feel embarrassed. You had been a shitty wife. Standing up, you make your way over to Mary.
"I'm sorry, Mary. I let her blind me. I wasn't the devoted wife that I promised to be. From now on, I'll be doing everything I can to make it up to you."
It took so long for Mary to answer you. You knew she was angry at you for everything that had happened and you couldn't blame her. You were the one to blame for everything. You had a lot to make up for.
"You can start by giving me a divorce."
You were honestly blindsided by the request.
"I don't understand. I...."
"Now that Ana is gone, there's no reason for me to stay. I'm free. Kirari only did the life plan so that Ana wouldn't marry into the family. I served my purpose. If you'll excuse me."
Mary leaves the two of you alone to your thoughts. Ririka wanted to smack you for not seeing what was in front of you the whole time and you were thinking about the divorce.

Kirari had been quick to accept your apology. She had missed you a lot and she was glad that you were finally back. After so long, the three of you were finally back together.
"Mary wants a divorce."
You tell Kirari when the conversation dies down. You had been thinking for days as to how you were going to tell her about the divorce considered that divorces were frowned upon in the clan.
"Does she? Does she not realize that once she is a Momobami, she can never leave." Kirari joked but her smile fell when she saw your serious expression. "Well are you going to sign the papers?"
"I will. I said that I'll do anything to make up for being a shitty wife and she asked for a divorce."
"and is that what you want?"
You remain deep in thought for a few seconds before answering.
"I don't know. She's my best friend. She's been there for me since high school. I care for her."
Kirari turned to face Ririka with a knowing look. You might've not realize it since you were still getting over Ana but it was clear to the two of them that you really seemed to care for her more than a friend should. If Kirari didn't know that you were seeing Ana, she would've believed that you had fallen in love with Mary with the way you acted when the two of you were together.
"Well it is also your decision. Why don't you talk to her about it before you sign anything."
"You're right. I'll try to convince that it's convenient for us to be married."

Mary looked at you as if you had grown a third head.
"Are you mad?"
"I can take care of you financially. You won't have to worry about anything. I just want to make sure that you're well taken care of."
"I can take care of myself. I've been doing it since before we were married. I can do it again."
"But Mary...."
You trail off when she lets out a sigh. The two of you had been talking for hours with no resolution in sight.
"I'm tired, (y/n). Please just sign the papers."
You fixed your gaze on her, trying to decipher her feelings. You had never seen her look so defeated. You wanted to argue against it but the least you could do was give her the one thing she asked for.
"Alright." You pull the papers back to you and begin to sign along every post-it on the document. When you're done, you hand it back to her. "Even though we're no longer married, I'll always be here for you Mary. Whatever you need, I can get it."
Mary thanked you and quickly left. You hadn't realized just how much you enjoyed her presence until you were left alone in the empty house.
