Narrator: Last time on Sonic X x Male Reader, Eggman discovered two more Chaos Emeralds hidden aboard a high-security Metarex Fortress. When the doctor suggests that Sonic in the Gang team up with him to see who can snatch the Emeralds first, Sonic jumps at the chance. Soon, with the help of Rouge and Shadow, Chris, Helen, Y/n and Chaos break into the Metarex complex, and after a bit of digital detective work, shuts down the security system. But when Sonic and the others burst in for a little Emerald espionage, they're greeted by a mob of Metarex with one thing on their minds... total destruction! Sonic's group was surrounded by Metarex.
Sonic: Think you can beat me?
Dark Oak: Make no mistake, my friend. I do not think I can beat you. I know I will. Metarex, prepare for battle! As you can see, you are dangerously out-numbered, Sonic. And I warn you... For every one of us that falls in battle, there will be hundreds more that will take his place.
Cosmo: Please don't hurt Sonic. I beg you! We'll do anything you want, Metarex, sir. We'll give back the Chaos Emeralds and the Plant Egg, but please don't hurt my friend.
Dark Oak: Get him.
A bunch of Metarex piled up on Sonic.
Amy/Cosmo: Sonic!
Sonic used Spindash to get the Metarex off him.
Sonic: So, you wanna play games, huh?
Sonic Spindash at Dark Oak, but the latter disappeared when Sonic hit him.
Amy: He vanished!
Sonic: It's a hologram.
The remaining Metarex were getting back up.
Cosmo: Be careful, Sonic.
Star: What are we just standing around for? Let's help him!
With Knuckles.
Knuckles jumped onto the Egg-Mobile.
Knuckles: I ought to knock that egg-head of yours clear off!
Eggman: Now, now, Knuckles. Let's just keep calm. We all know violence never solves anything.
Knuckles got a call from his comlink.
Tails: (On call: Blue Typhoon here. Knuckles, do you read me?)
Knuckles: Tails, what's going on?
Tails: There's a nasty-looking battalion our ships headed straight for us! I got a bad feeling those Metarex aren't too happy about us crashing their Fortress.
Cream: Tails, I'm afraid they're coming from behind, too. They're all around us. What are we gonna do? There's no way we can beat that many, not without Sonic or Y/n.
Chris' group was seeing it through the window.
Chris: Uh-oh. We're in trouble.
Rouge: You said it, kid.
Shadow got a call from Eggman.
Eggman: Listen up, Shadow! In the interest of self-preservation, I'm calling off this clambake.
Shadow: I don't understand. I thought I was to retrieve the Chaos Emeralds.
Eggman: Oh, blast the Emeralds! These Metarex monstrosities are about to make a meal out of us.
A voice came from a big red ship.
Red Pine: Attention, intruders. Make no effort to escape. I am Red Pine. I, and my four commanders, serve the all-powerful Dark Oak.
Tails: Great. There's four more of 'em?
Red Pine: In your foolish effort to undermine our mission, you have played it directly into our leader's hands. In fact, he wishes to express his gratitude for bringing him the Chaos Emeralds. Thanks to you all, we won't have to blindly scour the galaxy. We don't know how to thank you. Perhaps we'll just destroy you.
Rouge: Just try it, you overgrown junkyard!
Eggman: What are you waiting for, Shadow? Move it, or lose it! A genius like me can't afford to dawdle with danger!
Eggman contacted his ship where Bokkun was.
Eggman: Start ignition and begin Egg ascension on the double.
Bokkun: Yes, sir. Right away.
Knuckles: Wait, just a minute!
Eggman: You wait! I'm not about to let those metallic mutants maim me. See ya!
Eggman flew away, but Knuckles was able to jump back on the X-Tornado.
Knuckles: Hey, come back! Now what? I don't even know how to fly this stupid thing.
Shadow: I have to get back to the doctor.
Rouge: No way. I'm not leaving here empty-handed.
Chris: Shadow!
Chris ran after Shadow, but got a call from Amy.
Amy: Chris, do you read me?
Chris: Amy, what's wrong?
Amy: Please help! They're gonna hurt Sonic and Star.
Chris: The Metarex!
Sonic and Star punched down a bunch of Metarex, but they kept getting up.
Amy: Don't you worry, Sonic. I got your back!
Amy got in her plane and shot lasers at the Metarex.
Amy: Eat this, metacreeps!
This went on for a bit until the Metarex jumped on her plane.
Amy: Hey, what do you creepos think you're doing? Get off of my ship!
Cosmo: Oh, no! Amy! Maybe the code I deciphered...
She put in the code in some sort of keypad and that opened up the pods that were holding the Chaos Emeralds. But then the Planet Egg got put in a ball and disappeared.
With Knuckles.
Knuckles: Where is that start button. Maybe... That's not it. Aw, where's that geek Tails when you need him?
The dropping Planet Egg fell beside Knuckles. Outside the Metarex's ships were blasting lasers at the fortress.
Tails: Laser Shield! Hurry, Cream.
Cream: Laser Shield activated.
The shield was put up blocking the lasers.
Cream: How long do you think we can hold them back?
Spark: Something tells me not long.
Tails: Even with the shield up, the Typhoon can't withstand this kind of attack for long.
Chris' group was running through the fortress.
Chris: Shadow, wait! Why can't we find a way out of here together?
Helen: We need to get our friends out.
Rouge: He's only interested in doing what the boss man tells him.
Shadow: You don't know what you're talking about.
Chris: Eggman doesn't care about you. He only wants to use you to get what he wants. Don't you see that?
Shadow: You're wrong.
Rouge flew in front of Shadow.
Rouge: Come on, now. What else do you think he keeps you hanging around?
Shadow: He wants to help me.
Rouge: you think he's gonna help you get your memory back, don't you? Have you ever stopped to think old Egg-head just might be using that promise to get you to do his dirty work?
Chris: Rouge is right. You can't trust him.
Y/n: Even deciding this little team up with Robotnik, we weren't convinced he would be trust worthy.
Chris: Please, I know you don't remember, but you helped us before, and I'm begging you to help us again. Shadow...
Shadow: All right, I'll help you. But just this one time.
Shadow pulled Rouge close
Rouge: Watch it, bub.
Shadow: That's right. I'm keepin' my eye on you.
Rouge: Talk about insulting.
Y/n: Chris, stick with them. Me, Chaos and Helen will help the others.
Chris: Okay.
Shadow and Y/n pulled out their Chaos Emeralds.
Shadow/Y/n: Chaos Control!
Y/n, Chaos and Helen teleported to Sonic's group.
Y/n: Hey, we thought you could use some help.
With Chris.
Chris was teleported to Eggman's ship with Rouge and Shadow.
Eggman: Well, certainly took you long enough.
Eggman noticed Chris.
Eggman: Well, if it isn't Chris. Long time no see. Nice of you to drop in.
Eggman laughed maniacally.
Eggman: I see Shadow decided to play nice and rescue you from those Metarex meanies. He really is an agreeable little fellow, isn't he? After all, a little squirt like you would have been no match for those guys.
Chris: I thought you said we were all on the same team. I should have known you'd run when the going got tough.
Eggman: Well, better safe than sorry, I say. We don't wanna get hurt, do we, kid?
Chris: Hmm! I'm not a kid, okay?
Shadow put his Emerald in a small compartment.
Eggman: Whatever you say, kid. Ah, yes. Another day, another Conquest. Let's not waste any more time. It's been nice knowing you, kid.
Chris: Quit talking down to me like I'm some kind of baby, will you? I happen to be 18 years old, not that you can tell.
Eggman: But how? You're still only bite-sized.
Chris: Oh, yeah? Well, I'm tired of you and those Metarex doing everything you can to hurt my friends. So I'm taking matters into my own hands.
Eggman: Really?
Chris pulled something out of his pocket.
Chris: Really.
He threw it down and it made a blinding light that blinded everyone in the ship. This gave Chris the opportunity to take the Chaos Emerald and run off with it.
Eggman: That little thief.
Chris was able to find a small ship to escape in.
Chris: Activate ignition.
Chris left Eggman's ship and was ready to go back in the fortress.
Chris: Here I come, Sonic.
In the Blue Typhoon.
Tails: Was that ship from Chris?
Spark: I think it's time I go in to help.
Cream: But how are you gonna do it, Uncle?
Spark: Remember that time I said I got an early birthday present from Y/n?
Spark pulled out something that looked like a skateboard, but it didn't have any wheels.
Tails: Is that a-
Spark: Hoverboard? You bet. I've learned enough to go in some place with it.
Cream: Be careful, Uncle.
Spark: I will, Creamy.
Spark left the Typhoon and went after Chris.
With Sonic and Y/n.
The Metarex shot lasers near Cosmo which made her fall and drop the Emeralds.
Sonic: Cosmo!
Star: Don't you touch her!
Star threw seeds at the ground and the sprouted big vines that ensnared the Metarex.
Cosmo: Even with the extra help, we're too outnumbered.
Y/n: Good thing we have moves for such occasions.
Chaos: I am ready, My Lord.
Y/n stuck out one hand while the other was incised by Chaos.
Y/n: Lightning Paradise!
Chaos: Chaos Shockwave!
Chaos formed his hand into three wipes that hit long range to destroy a dozen Metarex while Y/n used his Lightning Paradise to destroy another dozen. But that's when the fortress shook and knocked everyone over.
Amy: What was that... crash?
Sonic: They're trying to destroy this place.
Cosmo: But why would they want to destroy their own fortress?
Amy: Especially with so many Metarex still inside.
Helen: Isn't it obvious? They want to take us down with this fortress.
Y/n: I knew these bastards were desperate, but I didn't know they were this desperate.
A Metarex who was holding the two Chaos Emerald walked up behind them.
Metarex: For the great and noble mission. All will be sacrificed.
With Chris.
Chris was still flying through the fortress and saw Shadow gliding behind him. Then Chris got hit with Shadow's Chaos Spears, making Chris' ship crash. Chris tried to walk away from him, but Rouge grabbed him and took him down a pit.
Chris: Shadow... He's trying to hurt me.
Rouge: If you let me have that Emerald, kid, I'll get you out of here.
Chris: You know I can't do that.
Rouge: Well, your loss. Later!
Rouge drop Chris, but he was lucky caught by Knuckles.
Chris: Knuckles?
With Spark.
Spark was floating through the fortress on his hoverboard.
Spark: Where are you, Christopher?
Suddenly, a wooden stump sprouted out of the ground, making Spark stop.
Spark: How did a stump form on something like this?
The stump formed into Green Spruce.
Green Spruce: Why, hello there.
Spark: A Metarex?
Green Spruce: Please, allow me to introduce myself. I am Green Spruce, I believe you're already acquainted with my colleague, Red Pine.
Spark: I take it you're a Metarex commander.
Green Spruce: Not just any commander, I happen to be Master Dark Oak's second in command. And because of that, I get special privileges. Like me and me alone bringing the Thunderhogs to Extinction.
Spark: Extinction, huh?
Spark entered Thunder Mode.
Spark: We'll just have to see about that.
Outside.
The Typhoon's shields were slowly falling.
Cream: I'm scared, Tails. The shields aren't working. What if they break through?
Tails: Don't worry, Cream. I just fired anti-laser torpedoes from Cannons two and three. That'll hold them a while.
In the fortress.
Chaos: Lord Y/n, I'm sensing a powerful Chaos Energy coming this way.
Y/n: I might have a pretty good feeling of what it is.
Chris landed the X-Tornado next to them.
Chris: Sonic, Y/n, catch!
Chris threw the red Chaos Emerald towards them and that's when Shadow appeared.
Y/n: Chaos, we're gonna need your help, too.
Chaos: Are you sure?
Y/n: With so many Metarex surrounding us, we're gonna need all hands on deck.
The Chaos Emeralds began to react and turned Sonic, Y/n and Shadow into their super forms while Chaos needed to go outside because of his huge size, but the Hedgehogs followed him not long after.
Shadow: Well, Sonic and Y/n, I see you two and I have a lot more in common than I thought we did.
Y/n: Listen, Shadow. You know damn well this doesn't need to happen.
Shadow: Whether this is going to happen or not completely depends on this. Are you going to give me those Emeralds? Or am I gonna take them from you by force?
Sonic: You haven't got any use for those Emeralds, and you know it. We all know you're just collecting 'em for Dr. Eggman. He's really got you fool, doesn't he, pal?
Shadow ramped Sonic.
Y/n: Guess we're doing this the hard way. Chaos, give me a boost!
Chaos used one of his tendrils to throw Y/n towards Sonic and Shadow, leading them to fight through the fortress.
Cosmo: What are they doing, Amy? Why are they glowing like that?
Star: Wait, are these the legendary Super forms Y/n's told me so much about.
Helen: You guessed it.
Shadow shot Chaos Spears at them, but Y/n destroyed them with his lightning. Then they went for a punch, but both canceled each other out, but it caused a shockwave through the entire galaxy.
Knuckles: That's some power they're giving off.
In the fortress.
Spark and Green Spruce were fighting with neither of them slowing down.
Spark: I see you don't become the second in command of Metarex for nothing.
Green Spruce: I will say, you are more of a challenge than your pitiful brother.
Spark: My brother?
Green Spruce: Ah, poor Y/n. He believed it was a freak lab accident or someone set up his father's demise, but little did he know I was the one who had all the credit.
Spark: You monster! Why would you do that to him?!
Green Spruce: I was hoping the guilt of not being able to save his father would awake "those" powers.
Spark: (Thinking: What? How does he know about them?)
Green Spruce: But despite what he did, you forgive him, but me call me the monster. It's most likely because he's the only family you have, but that really is a shame. He's worthless, just like his father.
Spark: Not another word about my nephew! He's a worthy Lord of the Thunderhogs, and me along with his friends are honored to fight by his side.
Spark charged up a Thunder Jab.
Green Spruce: One final shot I see.
A bunch of wood formed around Green Spruce's arm and ended with a sharp end.
Green Spruce: Wood Lance!
The two ran at each other, but Spark's lightning for some reason discharged.
Spark: What?!
The Wood Lance pierced through Spark's hand, causing him to grunt in pain.
Green Spruce: That lightning of yours disappeared? I think I might have it.
Lightning came from Spruce's head and hit Spark in the face, temporarily blind cam long enough for Spruce to stab him in the stomach with the Wood Lance. Spark was now leaning against the wall, holding his wound and coughing blood.
Green Spruce: How sad. I respect you as a warrior, so I'll respectfully hear your last words.
Spark gave a bloody smile.
Spark: Tell me, when do you think a person dies? When they're caught up in a terrible explosion? When they're given a lethal blow? No. A person only dies when they are forgotten. So even if I do die, I will live on forever in my nephew's memories. And if he dies, he shall live on in the memory of his friends.
Green Spruce: How very touching.
Green Spruce left Spark there to slowly die, but Spark kept his smile.
Spark: (Thinking: Y/n...)
He remembered a talk he had with Y/n.
Spark: Y/n, how are you?
Y/n: I'm doing good. My new life with Cream, Chaos and my new Mother is nice.
Spark: That's nice.
Y/n: But I honestly don't feel I deserve any of it.
Spark: I know how you feel. I didn't feel I was worthy of you after I left you.
Y/n: That's different. You came back.
Spark: And so did you. You came back to the right path. You know, after your cousin Cloud's suicide and your fathers death, I really didn't have anymore family except for you. So I-
Y/n: You don't have to say it, Uncle.
Spark: I think of you as my own.
Y/n and Spark looked at each other and came to an embrace.
Y/n: I love you, Uncle.
Spark: I love you too, my boy.
Back to present.
Spark: (Thinking: My time has come. My only regret is that you're not here to see me off, my boy.)
Spark then passed away, but then the fortress began to collapse and turn into a gravity field that began to suck everything in.
Tails: I don't think I've ever experienced gravity this strong.
Amy, Star and Cosmo made it back on the ship.
Amy: Do something, Tails! We're getting sucked in there!
The gravity even pulled in Red Pine's ships and destroyed it and not long after, it even pulled in Eggman's ship.
Sonic: That's Eggman!
Shadow jumped after Eggman's ship.
Y/n: Hey, I'm not done with you yet!
Y/n jumped after him.
Y/n: Thunder Dragon!
Y/n's bands snapped as he blasted a dragon made of lightning out of his hands and it went for Shadow, but the gravity field made it turn directions and miss Shadow.
Y/n: Dammit.
Y/n was about to be pulled in, but Chaos used a tendril to pull him back.
Chaos: I got you, Lord Y/n.
Shadow used his remaining power to safe Eggman's ship. Then the Typhoon came back for Sonic and Y/n.
Chris: Sonic! Y/n!
Helen: We came back for you!
Sonic: Thought you'd never get here.
Y/n: Chaos, if you and me can get to the Typhoon, we can save it from this gravity like Shadow did with Robotnik.
Chaos: That is a smart idea.
Chaos threw Y/n at the Typhoon and Y/n focused his power to saving.
Inside the Typhoon.
Knuckles was activating the Master Emerald.
Knuckles: Come through, Master Emerald! We're begging you. Lend us your mighty power!
The Emerald began to glow.
Chris: Our engine power's increasing. Bring it up to full speed, Tails.
Tails: You got it, Chris. Full speed ahead!
With great effort, the Blue Typhoon was able to get away from the gravity field.
With Dark Oak.
Dark Oak: It appears I have greatly underestimated the power of these tiny warriors. The resourcefulness is to be commended. However, this was but a test. Soon we shall see just how clever they can be.
Dark Oak let out an evil laugh and that's when Green Spruce showed up.
Green Spruce: Master Dark Oak, I have succeeded. Spark Thunderhog is no more.
Dark Oak: Good.
Back with the Typhoon.
Y/n, Sonic and Chaos were back to normal and made it to the bridge.
Sonic: Glad that's over.
Y/n: Yeah, but we lost the Emeralds.
Chaos: At least we are still alive to find them again.
Y/n: You're right. Wait.
He looked around, but didn't see Spark.
Y/n: Tails, where's Uncle?
Tails looked down.
Tails: Y/n, I'm sorry to tell you this, but Spark went into the fortress to help out and...
Y/n felt the ground beneath him sweep away as he fell to his knees.
Y/n: No. No. No. No!
Star: Y/n!
Star patted his back while Cream hugged him and Helen hugged his head while stroking his quills as the others looked away in respect.
