Y/n was sitting in his room on his bed with Cream.
Y/n: Well, it's gotta be sooner than later.
Chaos: I know you'll do great, My Lord.
Cream: I'm sure Mama will understand.
Y/n: All right. Activate communication system.
Chaos activated the bracelet's communication system that got Y/n into contact with his adopted mother.
Vanilla: Hello?
Y/n: Hello, Mother.
Cream: Hi, Mama!
Vanilla: (gasp) Y/n, Cream! How is everything?! Are you and the others doing okay?
Y/n: Everything's fine and everyone else is, too.
Cream: There have been tough times, but nothing we couldn't handle.
Vanilla: That's great.
Y/n: Well, I got something important to tell you.
Vanilla: Hmm? What is it, dear?
Y/n: You know how I told you Thunderhogs marry at around my age?
Vanilla: Yes.
Y/n: Well, (blushing) I'm married.
There was a brief silence.
Y/n: Mother, are you still there?
Vanilla: (squeal) I'm so proud of you!!! Who's the lucky lady?! Is she someone I know?!
Y/n: Do you remember the Star girl we left with?
Vanilla: Oh, I see. Well, I hope to talk to her more once you all get back. Congratulations on your marriage, I love you both
Y/n/Cream: We love you, too.
The call ended and Star walked in.
Star: Did you tell her?
Cream: Yep.
Star: How'd she take.
Y/n: A lot better than I thought she would. My mother's a caring woman, but she has a strong will.
Star: Well, I hope to talk it out with her myself.
Y/n: Me too.
Cream: Brother, Star.
Cream pointed to both her checks. Star was about to kiss the left one while Y/n got the right one, but Cream ducked causing them both to kiss.
Star/Y/n: (blushing) Cream!
Cream giggled and ran out.
Star: Oh, no you don't!
They chased Cream down until Tails called them.
Tails: Everyone, to the bridge!
Everyone got to the bridge.
Y/n: What's up?
Tails: I'm picking up two Chaos Emeralds in that fortress.
The Blue Typhoon was hiding behind a meteor floating around a giant metal like planet.
Star: Well, Eggman has two. We have three.
Helen: So these two will make seven.
Y/n: That's all Emeralds found, but we need a way to get the two from Robotnik and to get these ones.
They saw a meteorite go near the planet and it exploded.
Spark: I don't think we can brake in there.
Knuckles: How do you know you can't break in, unless you try?
Tails: You saw what happened to that meteorite. It's too dangerous!
Sonic: Hey, guys, we need to come up with a plan here.
???: Don't worry about that, Sonic. I've got it all figured out.
Eggman video called them.
Eggman: I have a proposal for you.
Sonic: I've gotta hear this.
Eggman: Why don't we join our forces and work together?
Sonic: What's that?
Y/n: Give us a moment to converse with ourselves.
Eggman: Take your time.
They put the call on hold.
Cream: We shouldn't work with Eggman. He's trying to trick us.
Cheese: Chao chao!
Amy: Yeah, don't even think about it, Knuckles.
Knuckles: I didn't say anything!
Sonic: I think we should work with Eggman. Our chances are better that way.
Tails: I agree.
Y/n: Well, although our chances would be better, the point still stands we can't trust him. So just keep your guards up.
Everyone nodded in agreement and Y/n turned off the hold.
Sonic: All right. Let's go for it, Eggman.
Chris: So, how're we gonna to get in the base?
Eggman: We can sneak in without getting caught by using Chaos Control.
He showed Shadow.
Eggman: Here's what we'll do. The first group in will head to the computer that controls the security system. They're responsible for shutting it down. Then the rest of us can sneak into the base undetected.
Sonic: Sounds cool!
Knuckles: What'll we do when we find the Emeralds, though? Will we share them 50/50?
Eggman: Whoever gets to them first can keep them.
Sonic gave a thumbs up.
Sonic: It's a deal!
Eggman: To make sure it's a fair contest, both sides will supply members for the entry team. I've selected Shadow and Rouge to represent our side.
Y/n: That sounds fair. We shall converse again to see who'll represent us.
The held the call again.
Spark: All right, so who's representing us?
Amy: Count me out! I refuse to join any team with Shadow and Rouge, because I don't like them.
Chaos: That didn't stop you from hugging Shadow back on Prison Island.
Amy: Hey, that's because I thought he was Sonic!
Star: Exactly how many times have you confused other hedgehogs for Sonic?
Amy: More than I'd like to admit.
Knuckles: I'm not goin', either. I won't work with that burglaring bat anymore.
Cream: Maybe we should pick a name out of a hat.
Y/n: Me and Chaos will go. We know Shadow and Rouge better than anyone.
Chris: I volunteer to go with you.
Amy: Are you sure?
Chris: Yes. You approve?
Y/n: That depends. Are you aware of the dangers that come with this mission.
Chris: I do.
Y/n: Then you may come.
Helen: I'm coming, too. You're gonna need a little extra kick.
Y/n: Fine by me.
Cosmo: Please promise us you'll be very careful, and stay close to the others.
Chris/Helen: We will.
Chris: (Thinking: This should be an interesting mission.)
Later.
Y/n and his group were about to board Eggman's ship.
Y/n: I'll be off.
Cream: Here.
She took off her bracelet.
Cream: Going in there. You're gonna need it more than me in there.
Y/n: Thank you.
Y/n took back his bracelet and put it back on as Star kissed him on the cheek.
Star: Be careful, dear.
Y/n, Chaos, Helen and Chris boarded Eggman's ship and got together with Shadow and Rouge.
Rouge: Hey.
Helen: Hey.
Chris held out his ring for Shadow.
Shadow: Hm? What's that?
Y/n: It's a power limiter.
Chris: It's the one you had back on Space Colony ARK.
Shadow: That... was mine!
Y/n: I'm wearing the other one.
Chris: Take it. If you wear it, you won't lose energy when you're in the middle of a fight anymore.
Shadow: I see.
Y/n: You may as well take mine, too.
Y/n took off his ring and offered it to Shadow.
Y/n: What do you say?
Shadow: All right, I will wear them.
Shadow took both rings and slipped them on.
Chris: I got something for you too, Y/n.
Chris pulled out two black rubber bands.
Chris: These bands should tone down your lighting to the point you won't risk burning yourself.
Y/n: That's pretty clever.
Y/n put both the bands on an arm each.
Y/n: One more thing. My side is using all our Chaos Emeralds, so I would like to have one of yours in case I need to teleport Chris and Helen out of there.
Shadow: How do we know we can trust you?
Y/n: You can't, but I could say the same about you. But if we really were planning to turn against you, we wouldn't have given you those rings.
Shadow: You make a good point. Very well.
Shadow gave Y/n the purple Chaos Emerald.
Y/n: Pleasure doing business with you.
They got into some kind of pod as Shadow pulled out the red Chaos Emerald.
Shadow: Ready, team?
They all nodded.
Shadow: Chaos Control!
The Emerald glowed and the entry team teleported out of the pod.
In the Blue Typhoon's ship bay.
Knuckles and Sonic were taking the X-Tornado while Amy, Star and Cosmo were taking Amy's small ship. Then Tails walked over to them.
Tails: I got something to help us increase our speed!
He gave Sonic and Knuckles the blue and white Chaos Emeralds while Amy got the green one.
Amy: Thanks, Tails! We have a real advantage over Eggman, now!
???: You'll need all the help you can get.
Eggman was walk towards them with Decoe and Bocoe.
Cream: Why have you come to our ship?
Eggman: Now, now, Cream. Remember, we're on the same team. From now on, what's mine is yours, and what's yours is all mine.
Amy: Back off! I'm not sharing my stuff with you!
Eggman: I'm just looking.
Spark: It better just be that.
Eggman looked at Amy's ship and the X-Tornado.
Eggman: Very impressive. Your machines are well maintained. And clean, too! Thumbs up, gang. Goodbye!
Eggman and his robots made their leave.
Amy: That certainly was a strange visit.
Sonic: At least it was short.
Chris: (over com: Chris to Blue Typhoon. Chaos Control successful. We're inside the base. We're gonna start looking for the security system controls.)
Sonic: We copy. Be careful, guys.
Y/n: Don't worry. They're with me.
They went through a base and hid behind a wall to avoid being spotted by a dinosaur like Metarex.
Rouge: All clear.
They ran ahead and Shadow suddenly appeared in front of them.
Y/n: What?
Shadow: I believe we're supposed to be working together and not running off.
Helen: Sorry if you felt left out.
Shadow took a better look at Helen and saw Maria in her, causing him to just stare at her for a bit.
Helen: Are you okay.
Shadow: What? Yeah, I'm fine.
Rouge: (Thinking: I have to think up some excuse to ditch these guys so I can look for the Chaos Emeralds.) Say, why don't we split up to look for that control room?
Shadow: No.
Rouge: Why not?
Shadow: The Doctor wants us to stay together.
Rouge: Oh, really? (Thinking: Looks like Eggman was one step ahead of me. I'll have to change tactics. He knows I'm up to something. My only chance to get him to let his guard down. I'll have to turn on the charm.) Remember the last time the five of us used Chaos Control? Well, this is excluding you, Helen because you weren't there. Anyways. As I recall, the circumstances were rather explosive.
Chris: You mean Prison Island!
Chaos: I remember it like it were yesterday. Lord Y/n left me with Rouge in case something went wrong.
Rouge: I was afraid you would leave us there. And do you remember what happened next, Chris?
Chris: Of course I do. Shadow and Y/n transported us to Space Colony Ark.
Rouge: That's right.
Helen: Oh, I'm so jealous.
Y/n: It wasn't as great as it seemed.
Rouge: Shadow, wasn't that the home of your friend, Maria?
Shadow: Maria!
Y/n: Rouge, that is a very sensitive topic!
Shadow grabbed his head and fell to his knees and began to groan.
Chris: Shadow!
Chris knelt down to him and Rouge flew off.
Shadow: Come back here!
Rouge: Sorry, guys. I have to go find those Chaos Emeralds.
A Metarex showed up in front of her.
Rouge: Move it, creep!
Rouge kicked through it and it exploded, but then three more showed up and grabbed her. They were about to bite her in half, but Shadow showed up and easily destroyed all of them.
Shadow: Don't run off.
Rouge: Since you put it that way.
Chris: Hey, look! We may have found the control room.
Shadow: Wait up!
They went into a room with a big computer.
Y/n: Chaos, Helen, stand guard.
Y/n and Chris got to work on the computer.
Chris: We're in luck. This computer runs the security system.
Y/n shot lightning at some equipment while Shadow and Rouge destroyed some too, then with some handy work from Chris, security was shut down.
Chris: Do you read me? The computer's shut down.
Sonic: Good work, Chris! Ready?
Everyone in their ships nodded.
Sonic: Let's go!
The two ships went off while Tails, Cream, Cheese, and Spark stayed behind.
Tails: Good luck!
Cream: We know you can do it!
Cheese: Chao!
Spark: My good fortune come your way!
The two ships entered the fortress with Eggman in the Egg-Mobile not far behind. Knuckles was using a Chaos Emerald to help find the others.
Knuckles: (Thinking: The Emerald is reacting.) Try going right!
Sonic: Roger!
They took the turn and saw an entrance for air crafts.
Knuckles: Now! Through there!
They went into the opening and their were tones of pole that they maneuvered around.
Knuckles: Whoa! You're goin' too fast! This isn't an amusement park ride, ya know? Slow down! Aah! Are you crazy?!
Sonic: This isn't fast. Hang on!
Sonic began to go even faster.
Amy: I'll keep up no matter how fast you go, Sonic.
Cosmo: Amy, please, I'm starting to feel really dizzy.
Star: Me too. I think I'm gonna puke.
Amy: I'm sorry, girls. Do either of you see Eggman?
They turned and saw Eggman was behind.
Cosmo: He's still behind us.
Amy: Okay. Keep an eye on him, just in case.
Star: He won't escape my eyes. Though, it looks like he has some kind of box in his hand.
Sonic: how much further do we have to go?
Knuckles: Almost there.
Sonic: All right.
Cosmo: Hurry!
Amy: Don't worry. I'll catch up.
With Eggman.
Eggman got out a box type device.
Eggman: It's show time!
Eggman pulled a leaver and it made Amy's ship turn to the right.
Amy: Aah!
Cosmo: What's the matter?
Amy: (gasp) I don't know! I've lost control of my plane!
The X-Tornado went through a door that was slowly closing as Amy hit her control panel with her hammer.
Amy: Maybe this will fix it!
Star: Amy, stop! It's clearly not working.
The Egg-Mobile flew beside Amy's plane and Decoe tapped on the window until Amy opened it.
Amy: What do you want?
Eggman: Grab it!
Decoe got out a fishing pole and took the Chaos Emerald from Cosmo.
Eggman: Bye-bye, girls!
He flew ahead through the door.
Cosmo: We have to get that Emerald back, Amy.
Amy: The controls aren't working!
The door shut completely.
Amy: We've been shut out!
Star: (sigh) Y/n told us to keep our guard up and we didn't listen, so this is what we get.
With Sonic and Knuckles.
Sonic and Knuckles flew up a new tunnel.
Knuckles: It looks like we lost Amy.
Sonic: We'll get them on the way back. Tell me how the Chaos Emerald's reacting.
Knuckles: You should go up!
They flew up and saw pterodactyl like Metarex flying towards them.
Knuckles: We've got company.
Sonic: No problem!
Sonic spun the X-Tornado around really fast which allowed them to drill through the Metarex. Then when more came, Knuckles came out of the X-Tornado and destroyed them.
Knuckles: Take that!
After those Metarex were destroyed, Eggman flew next to the X-Tornado.
Eggman: The Chaos Emeralds must be up there!
He pointed to a big light at the top.
Sonic: You're right, Eggman! Now let's see which one of us can get to them first.
Sonic flew faster while Knuckles was still outside the plane.
Knuckles: Sonic haven't you ever heard of passenger safety?
Eggman: Sonic, you tried your best, but you're out of control.
Eggman hit a button on his device that made the X-Tornado slow down.
Knuckles: Why are you slowing down, Sonic?
Sonic: It's not me! The controls aren't working!
The X-Tornado turned directions.
Knuckles: Now we're heading the wrong way! What do you think you're doing?!
Sonic: It's not my fault, I swear!
Sonic saw the device Robotnik was using.
Eggman: Now, stop. Isn't this an interesting twist?
Sonic: Eggman's using a controller! Quit goofing around!
Knuckles: That's cheating!
Eggman: (chuckling) I prefer to think of it as bending the rules until they break!
Decoe and Bocoe used fishing poles to grab their other Chaos Emeralds.
Knuckles: Come back!
Eggman: Later, losers!
Bocoe: Thanks for the gems, gents!
Eggman flew off, but not before shutting off the X-Tornado so it would fall.
Eggman: Soon, all the Chaos Emeralds will belong to yours truly.
With Sonic and Knuckles.
They were still falling.
Knuckles: Sonic! Wanna go for a spin?
Sonic: Okay!
Knuckles spun Sonic around and threw him towards Eggman.
Eggman: Victory!
Eggman held up the Chaos Emeralds he stole which allowed Sonic to take them back.
Eggman: Hey, where did they go?
Sonic jumped back and landed on Egg-Mobile.
Sonic: Looks like my side won, two to nothing.
Sonic kicked the Egg-Mobile down, but a robot arm kept it from falling down further.
With Sonic.
He got to where the new Emeralds were and as soon as he did, something broke in.
Sonic: What was that?
He saw it was Amy's plane with a hammer on the left of it, and a wooden limb on the right. The plane flew out and everyone in it got out.
Star: Was that hammer feature always there?
Amy: Yeah, Tails made this plane especially for me. But that was pretty smart to use a root to help us climb.
Star: Well, when your husband's a scientific and mechanical genius, you tend to learn a few things.
Sonic: Hey, guys, what's up?
Amy: Well, I just realized that there is an upside to getting separated from you, 'cause it's so great when we're re-united.
Sonic: Is it so great you feel like you want to hug me?
Amy: Hm. Maybe later.
They saw the yellow and light blue Chaos Emeralds in some kind of glass containment.
Sonic: So, we finally tracked down all the Chaos Emeralds.
Cosmo: Isn't it wonderful?
Star: All we need are the two Emeralds Eggman has, and we'll have all seven.
Amy looked up.
Amy: Uh, what's that thing, Sonic?
They all looked up and saw what looked to be a Planet Egg in a bigger container.
Cosmo: It looks like... a Planet Egg! But it's growing out of control!
Star: If you had told me this was a Planet Egg, I probably wouldn't have believed you.
Tails, Spark, Cream and Cheese were seeing everything from the ship.
Cream: I've never seen a Planet Egg that big before.
Cheese: Chao!
Tails: The Metarex have been gathering Planet Eggs from around the galaxy. It looks like they're using the power of the Chaos Emeralds to force the Eggs into evolving.
Sonic: Really? But why, Tails?
???: That is our secret.
Dark Oak stood a good distance from them with an army of Metarex soldiers behind him.
Dark Oak: So, we face each other again, Sonic the Hedgehog.
Sonic: No way! You're the guy who tried to take the Chaos Emeralds from me. I'll never forget that fight. Because of you, I had to throw the Emeralds away.
Amy: You know him?
Sonic: (growls) Unfortunately, I do.
Dark Oak: Allow me to introduce myself. I am Dark Oak, ruler of the Metarex. And now, Sonic, you and I are going to have a rematch.
