She sat on the balcony of her house, her eyes watching carefully just how her son played around on the yard. She had been surprised by the news when she first got them, an unexplainable amount of joy coursed through her that day. And she still felt that amount of joy just by seeing him smile and play around. He deserved everything in the world, and she was going to give him everything. He was her pride and joy, the son that she never knew she needed in her life. The inclusion of him in her life had changed her way of thinking drastically.
She still remembers just how everything came to fruition, her mind not being able to forget such an eventful day from her memories. She still reeled back at what happened, yet she honestly didn't care. Finding him in that crater almost dead made her wish she had paid more attention to him in the past, and it made her want to get closer to him sooner rather than later. He was so weak and injured those years ago, that even she believed that he was going to die. Thankfully he didn't and she managed to find something that made her keep going, she found love.
She still could feel the exact feelings that coursed through her body. The pressure on her chest, hearing just how fast her heart would go just by being near him. Moments when all she could do was think about him, and only him. She even got distracted in a sparring match because all she could do was think of him. And every time that he was nowhere near her, she felt a void that couldn't be filled. Yet her mind knew what was the one that could fill such a void. She knew full well that the man that she had saved all those years ago was the one for her. And she even had to fight for him, various females from his past gaining awareness that he was the best thing that had happened to them, and ultimately, and thankfully, she ended up winning the war.
She suddenly was enveloped in a tight hug, a smile appearing on her face as she recognized the warmth. She closed her eyes for mere moments, appreciating the union between the two. She had to admit that he had been the best thing that happened to her. She didn't even feel like this when Hank Pym had tried to go out with her even more years ago, before she saved the man that was hugging her with such care from death. He was as attentive as ever, showcasing her with love and adoration that she could only dream of. Yet her dreams have turned into a reality, one that she lived every single day of her life.
"Bonita..." She sighed lovingly, the voice of the man resounding in her ear and straight to her mind. She was completely infatuated with the man, and each passing that her infatuation just grows stronger. Moments like this were the ones that she hoped to live in for the rest of her life. After feeling such loving and attentive nature had spoiled her forever, unable to gain enjoyment in her life if he was not beside her. "You remember our song?"
"Of course I do, mi amor" Bonita Juarez, also known as Firebird, softly whispered towards him. She glanced at him, her eyes staring at the handsome face of Peter Parker, the hero known as Spider-Man. Finding him all those years ago changed her, transforming her life from the loneliness that she lived into the companionship that she had seeked since forever, one that filled her completely. But their song, the one they used on their wedding day, meant more than anyone could think of. "I live by it every single day. ¿Por qué lo preguntas?"
Cansado de esperar
Fallar y en vano intentar
She heard him, his beautiful voice singing the song that meant everything to the two of them. She felt her heart skip a beat, a slight tear escaping from her eye as she sighs once again. The song would always send her back to memory lane, remembering the moments she spent before getting married to him. She smiled, her eyes opening fully as the two of them were now facing each other with love. She wanted to kiss him right there and then, but she knew that their song meant more than just a kiss.
Una voz yo oí
Una voz yo oí
She continued their song, a loving smile appearing on her face. While his voice had a very heavy american accent when he would talk or sing in Spanish, she actually enjoyed his accent. She might even dare say that she loved it, the exotic tone that it had made her heart skip quite some beats. This entire song was the way that the two of them properly met, even if they had worked in the past. The moment that she saved him was the moment that would forever linger on her mind.
Haré de tu desierto un jardín
Both of them were carefully and beautifully mixing their tones, a beautiful melody being made from the two. This particular verse meant something beautiful, an expression that transcended even most couples. Because this meant that the two of them were taking away each other's loneliness. To fill their lives with joy and happiness and to never allow each other to return once again back to that desert. The two of them now lived in the same garden, completing each other fully.
En el pozo te encontré
Y sed ya nunca más sentí
The metaphor of these lines made her smile widely, even as she got closer towards the man in her life. While she had found him in a crater, the place was very destroyed. Government even had to think of a way to cover up the whole crater that had been left by Peter entering their reality once again. Ironically, the crater was deep enough that it created a natural well. Which is why it meant so much to them. As soon as they heard this song, they knew it was the song that they wanted for their wedding. And the next line hit her deep, because what it was saying was as true as it could be. She felt fulfilled as soon as she saw him clearly and healed, her heart beating loudly against her chest.
Te debo tanto a ti
Te debo tanto a ti
She constantly would tell him that it was she that owed her happiness to him, yet it were these moments that she could see just how stubborn he really was. He would always tell her that he really owed his very life to her, that he didn't even know just how he would go on with his life if it wasn't for her. She loved every single word, but she felt that she owed him a lot as well. Yet it was his less than eventful news that made her react less than friendly towards some people that knew the both of them. But that was in their past, something that she hoped to never remember again.
Cambiaste mi desierto en un jardín
Abrázame
And he did, hugging once more with love. She could never get tired of these moments between the two of them, moments that were only proof of their ever-growing love for each other. A love that had been born from the sand and giving fruit to their son. Joshua, her dearest son, meant everything to her. Her eyes looked just how their kid stopped playing and was now looking at them with curiosity. All she could do was chuckle softly.
Contigo iré
Al altar
Her white dress, she still had it in her closet. It was one of her most prized possessions, the item that she used to unify her heart and soul with the man that had given her everything she could ever wish for. She still remembers some forced smiles from the few females that went to their wedding, she especially remembered the angered look that Felicia Hardy gave her from afar. She ultimately ignored it, not really giving the thief the attention that she probably seeked for. But their wedding went wonderfully, even if it ended up being a small one.
A luchar, sacrificar
Vencer, recomenzar
And these were their vows, the words that brought meaning to their union. They were going to fight for each other, protecting each other from those who would try and harm them. They would sacrifice everything they had to make each other happy. She didn't need to live in an extravagant house, something Peter completely agreed with her. They would beat every obstacle that was in front of them, not wanting any problems to interfere in their relationship. And to restart their lives, to begin a new life where they could love each other.
"¡Mamá! ¡Papá! That was beautiful!" She chuckled at Joshua's reaction to their song. She looked once again at Peter, smiling at him before looking once again at her son. She ruffled his hair softly as she reclined her head towards Peter's shoulder. She had a family, something that she dreamed of having since forever. And she was not going to allow anyone to harm her family, she will make sure of it.
