There was a reason Seitil embarked on this way.

'Damn Raymond bastard.'

When Raymond recently cleaned out the Darkblade Guild.

Among the corrupt aristocrats involved, Viscount Kesford was a man of Seitil.

In other words, he got to take a shit-watering for Raymond.

'Raymond, that bug dares to annoy me!'

Seitil gritted his teeth.

Seitil was badly lagging behind compared to the other princes.

Then the injustice of his subordinate was revealed, and his position became very difficult.

'So I have to take this opportunity to make a contribution.'

Seitil thought grimly.

'Raymond, I'll fix you up one day.'

Seitil originally disliked Raymond. He was so disgusted that he wanted to step on him as he would step on a bug.

If he had the chance later, he would never leave the guy alone.

"I'll take care of it! I'll take care of the little rats! I'll eradicate them all at once and come back!"

His confident voice troubled Odin for a while.

Frankly, he did not think that he could eradicate the godforsaken rats even if he led his soldiers.

But since there were no other measures to take right now, he nodded.

"I will tell Lord Valton of the SS to go with you."

Valton.

He was one of the squad leaders of the SS and a powerful knight of the sword expert.

"I'll be back once I sort it out soon!"

Odin asked Galman, as Seitil disappeared in a huff and opened the meeting.

"Do you think we can mobilize the soldiers to eradicate the pastin rats?"

"I don't think it will be easy."

Galman shook his head.

"Why are rats rats? They can't be eradicated that easily."

"But it is a problem, especially since there are no other ideas."

Odin nodded just as seriously.

"If we leave it like this, the rats will spread throughout the entire capital."

Galman's face grew heavy. This was not an uncommonly serious matter.

"Somehow we must come up with a plan."

***

Seitil immediately led (?) his soldiers out to the Bay Area. And they began searching for Pastin rats in every nook and cranny.

But they had no great success.

They caught a few, but that was it.

No matter how hard they looked for them, they couldn't easily find where in the world they were hiding.

"Can't you guys ever do anything right?! We can't even catch a single rat, and you'll take on an enemy army?"

When the simple idea didn't work, Seitil's face turned red and he polished off the soldiers.

'How are we supposed to find well-hidden rats?'

'Do you think we are cats?'

The soldiers were frustrated, but they couldn't show it. The poor were just as frustrated.

'How long are they going to search us?'

'Can they catch the rats?'

It was an inconvenience because of all the commotion in their homes. Raymond was also crying.

'Damn it. What are you doing now? Like idiots. How can you catch rats when you do it like that?'

He grumbled.

'The soldiers are scrambling and the patients were cut off!'

The treatment center was flying with flies, unlike usual.

They were in trouble as it was.

Raymond thought angrily.

'No, if you want to catch rats, just catch rats! Are you all idiots?'

Was it because the great ones had never caught a rat?

Raymond couldn't understand why they didn't think of this obvious thing.

'Why can't they solve this problem by feeding them? I tried to be quiet and stay behind them.'

It seemed like a no-go.

If he sat still and waited like this, the number of rats would increase geometrically.

'If the Bay Area is scorched by an epidemic, the treatment center will perish.'

Raymond's brow furrowed as he realized he would have to leave after all.

'Just make it work! I don't want to get tangled up in a conspiracy!'

He sighed and went to see Rao.

"Rao, can I borrow the kitchen of the government building?"

"Pardon?"

His response was suddenly, "why the kitchen?"

"And prepare the ingredients for the dish I'm going to tell you about."

"What are you going to prepare?"

"Pastin Cheese Pie."

Rao's eyes immediately widened as he wondered.

He realized Raymond's intentions.

"No way?"

"Yes, that's right."

Pastin cheese pie.

It was a specialty of the Southern region of the Free Cities Union.

They put all kinds of cheese into the pie, and it tasted like...

'Copper. It smells terrible.'

Raymond raised an eyebrow.

Cheese also varied in taste from region to region, depending on the method of production.

Pastin cheese pie was a dish made with only cheeses that had a strong, stinky taste.

Even the spices used were horrible, nasally things.

'But the people in that town love it.'

And there was an even more important point.

That pastin rats love this dish!

No wonder its name was Pastin Cheese Pie.

The name was given to a dish that, when placed on the table, would surely bring out the pastin rats.

'As long as I have this pastin pie, we will eradicate the rats in no time.'

***

Originally, Raymond had intended to just give him the recipe and back out.

But he had no choice but to cook directly.

This was because no one had been able to bring the flavors to life properly.

So what talent did Raymond have to bring the flavors to life?

[High sensory value!]

[Makes food taste good!]

'... This sensory stat. Does it apply when you cook?'

Raymond had an unacquainted look.

He had seen the physical and sensory stats applied to self-defense before.

So it was only natural that the sensory stat would be applied to cooking and he would be good at it.

After that, he made a lot of pies and went to town.
L
"Raymon?"

Seitil, who had been conducting the scene, frowned at Raymond.

"What's the matter with you here?"

Raymond's heart pounded in his chest when he saw Seitil.

Seitil was the person who had tormented him the most when he was a child.

Just when he was about to throb, remembering his past trauma!

[Met 'truth' during his efforts to eradicate the epidemic!]

[The other party's truth power is confirmed to be "very high!"]

[Heart of Steel activated!]

[Truth Coping activated!]

His heart sank calmly and a coping mechanism emerged.

'Let's do my job.'

"I'm here to eradicate the tastin rats."

"The Pastin rats? So?"

Seitil expressed disgust at the cheese pie in the shape of monster excrement that Raymond had brought with him.

"You brought something as lowly as yourself. No matter how much a rat grabs at things, it won't look at that..."

It was the moment when he said so.

Squeak! Squeak!

Suddenly, a small object quickly jumped onto the plate!

Three black stripes on a white body.

It was a pastin rat! And there were two of them!

After taking a bite of the cheese pie, the mice shuddered and screamed.

"..."

Seitil looked at them with his mouth open.

How could he catch a single rat so easily when he had gone through all kinds of trouble with his soldiers?

Raymond looked at Seitil's vaguely changed face and charged.

'Anyway, you're an idiot. You only have your physical traits going for you. All you have in your head is crap and spaghetti!'

"Could you give up your soldiers for a minute? I have to put the cheese pie on the table."

"W-what is this..."

In the meantime, another pastin rat rushed to death and died in a fit of rage.

Seitil just kept his mouth wide open.

"Oh... oh..."

"Return the soldiers, Your Highness."

Sir Valton, the SS squad leader, chewed the soldiers carefully as he watched Seitil's face.

Sir Valton looked at Raymond with admiration.

'That's really smart. How could he even think of doing that?'

His teeth parted as he thought about the great trouble he had gone to in the past few days to deal with Seitil's brushing.

He couldn't believe that as honored Royal Knights, they were catching rats!

Of course, he knew it was for the good of the people, but the problem was that Seitil's method was extremely inefficient.

Raymond's methods, on the other hand, were extremely wise.

'And he did a great job of cleaning up the Darkblade Guild, didn't he? He also contributed to wiping out corruption officials.'

Unlike the "ugly" stories, Sir Valton nodded his head.

He knew for sure that he had never learned to use a sword, but his posture was strangely stable. It was like he had never trained his body at all, but it also felt solid.

'It's an illusion, right?'

Anyway, the work went on without a hitch.

Raymond placed pastin pies all over the Bay Area.

It didn't stop there, he also used magic from time to time.

'Since it's started anyway, let's pull the roots out tight. Wind! Let it spread to the wind as softly as possible!'

The wind spread the stench of pie far and wide.

The effect was direct.

Squeak! Squeak!

Pastin rats jumped on them, took a bite, and screamed. The people were astonished.

"I can't believe he used such a method."

"Oh! Here they come again!"

There were many figures wondering where in the world they had been hiding so much.

The bodies of pastin rats were piled around the plate.

"Oh! That's our prince!"

"I wonder if the epidemic is over now?"

"It seems so. He is our prince after all. If it weren't for him, we would have been in trouble."

"Long live our prince!"

"Hooray!"

Long live Raymond once again resounded throughout the Bay Area.

'Damn it.'

A "real prince," Seitil gritted his teeth as he heard that hail mary. He had led the soldiers himself, but he had struggled so much that he could not make any merit, and the sight of Raymond, whom he despised, recurving, almost made it feel like the top of his head was spinning.

"Stop it! How dare you call this bastard a prince! You, people, have gone crazy to death. You'll only realize that when you're punished for royal blasphemy!"

When Seitil was angry, the poor people who had been cheering for Raymond faltered.

The poor people asked cautiously.

"We can't say call him prince?"

"You call him that?! A bastard is not a prince! Don't you ever say that again unless you want to die!"

"Oh, alright! We'll obey orders!"

The poor people nodded as if they could hear and shouted in different voices.

"Long live Sir Raymond!"

"Long live the Baronet Penin!"

"Long live our Baronet!"

Seitiru frowned as they shouted "long live," only changing the title.

'Not that... damn it!'

The Bay Area was in a full festive mood, having emerged from the horrors of the epidemic.

Not even his furrowed brow could stop the cries of joy.

"Shit! Damn it!"

Seitil could not contain his anger, and the people were tongue-tied at the sight of his impatience.

This was especially true of the soldiers who had done all the hard work.

'How stingy.'

'He made us struggle in his ignorance.'

They praised Raymond for doing the opposite.
