In the sky of Mobius.
Eggman screamed over the town in his Grand Egg Imperial.
Eggman: Attention! I have an important announcement that I'm sure you'll hate! (laughs) Your favorite fiend has returned, your king of calamity, the awesome Dr. Eggman. I am delighted to inform you that this planet will soon be under my power! It is pointless to try and resist me! Surrender immediately, or you will all be destroyed!
Y/n and Chaos were watching the scene from a tree.
Y/n: All I wanted was a nice walk and this jack ass just had to ruin it.
Eggman: This is your last warning! Submit to my rule or I'll wipe out this whole world! You hear that, Sonic?!
Y/n: He doesn't even care I'm here to stop him.
Chaos: Don't feel down, My Lord. Might I suggest you go have tea with your new mother?
Y/n: That's probably a good idea.
He ran off to Vanilla's house.
Later that night.
Amy was sitting with Vanilla, Cream and Cheese and having tea and cake with them.
Amy: Aah. Just the way I like it.
Cream: We're really happy you stopped by to visit us, Amy.
Cheese: Chao, Chao!
Vanilla: So, have you thought about that offer we made the other day? Would you like to come live here?
Amy: Thanks for the invitation, but I can't accept.
Cream: Why? We want you to stay here with us! We really care about you!
Vanilla: Please, Cream.
Amy: I know. I'm really glad I have a friend like you. But you don't have to worry about me. It's been lonely without Sonic around, but I know... he'll come back. And besides, I don't think it would be good to have me and him under the same roof.
As soon as she said that, Y/n walked in with Chaos still in his bracelet.
Y/n: I'm home.
Cream: Big brother!
Cream ran and gave him a hug.
Y/n: Hey, sorry I got home late.
Cream: It's fine.
Him and Amy shared a look.
Y/n: Oh, and it seems we have Rose here. What a pleasant surprise.
Amy: I'll tell you what the surprise is, it's that anyone agreed to give you another chance.
Vanilla: All right, settle down. Y/n dear, would you like some tea.
Y/n: I would. If you wouldn't mind.
Vanilla poured him a cup of tea.
Vanilla: Here you go.
Y/n: Thank you, Mother.
Amy: I see you quickly adapted to your new life.
Y/n: You're just upset because Sonic hasn't come back yet.
They heard Eggman outside.
Eggman: But I am! And I'm badder than ever! I've come to publicize my dastardly designs for building the Eggman Empire. I'm all set to spread misery and mayhem around the globe. You'd better quit your foot-dragging and race to the rescue, Sonic, otherwise this world will have to face the music!
He started playing music and danced.
Bocoe: How embarrassing.
Bokkun: What dance is that?
Decoe: I think it is called "The Jerk."
The ship suddenly shook which caused them to fall over.
Bocoe: What was that?
Decoe: I think something hit us!
They saw Amy's hammer dug into the ship.
Bocoe: Hey! Who's the wise guy that hammered our hull?!
Eggman: There's something about that hammer that looks awfully familiar.
Decoe: Amy! Why did you hit us? We were not bothering you!
Amy: Don't you have any idea what time it is? Turn down the volume, or I'll knock not flying loudspeaker out of the sky!
Eggman: Just because your boyfriend's not here, don't take it out on me!
Decoe: That is right!
Bocoe: You should not blame Dr. Eggman!
Eggman: It certainly isn't my fault he hasn't shown up yet.
Bokkun: I bet the reason Sonic stayed back on that other planet was 'cause he couldn't stand to be with you anymore!
Y/n: Listen, Sonic will be the least of your worries if you don't shut up.
Eggman: Can it, light blue boy! We all know your just Sonic's temporary replacement!
Vanilla, Cream and Cheese start to close all the doors and windows as Amy began to build up rage and Y/n inhaled.
Eggman: You better cool off, cupcake! We've got your hammer up here so you can't touch us!
Amy summoned another hammer out of nowhere.
Bocoe: Ah! Another one!
Bokkun: She has more hammers than a hardware store!
Eggman: Don't strike me just because you struck out with Sonic!
Amy threw the hammer at him and was about to throw another one.
Y/n: Wait, give him this for me.
Y/n put lightning on Amy's hammer.
Amy: Thanks.
Amy threw it and when it hit the Egg Fort, the stream of electricity went through the ship and shocked everyone in it.
Y/n: I'm gonna go check on Rouge and Knuckles.
He ran to the edge of a cliff where Rouge and Knuckles were watching the conflict between Amy and Eggman.
Y/n: Hey, guys.
Knuckles: Hey, Y/n.
Rouge: Looking as handsome as ever I see.
Y/n: Don't go flirting again, Rouge.
Rouge: Can't I give you a compliment every once and a while, my light blue boo?
Y/n: How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me that?
Knuckles: So, aren't you going to take out Eggman?
Y/n: No. It wouldn't be as fun without Sonic.
Knuckles: Ha. You really have changed, you know that?
Y/n: Have I?
Knuckles: Yeah. At first you were all, "I don't need that blue idiot or anyone for that matter." And look at you now.
Rouge: You have lots of new friends, fun and cool adventures, and you have a mom and little sister that love you very much.
Y/n: Hmm. Maybe so.
Chaos: But no matter how much you change, it will not affect my view on you, Lord Y/n.
Y/n: That... really means a lot, Chaos.
Rouge: I wonder why Sonic still hasn't shown up yet.
Knuckles: What do you think happened to him, Y/n?
Y/n: I don't know. Somehow I'm here and he's not.
Rouge: If he was with you I'm sure he's on his way, unless he hit a time warp during your transfer to this world. If that happened, he may not get here for weeks, or months, even years.
Knuckles: Time warps are trickier than you realize. All kinds of crazy things can happen if you get stuck in one. I'm sure Y/n can confirm.
Y/n: Yeah, it can go from something simple like you losing a part of your body to completely altering the reality your in.
Knuckles: Of course, you're just a jewel thief, so you wouldn't know. You don't have a clue!
Rouge bonked him on the head causing a bump to form and Knuckles to scream.
Knuckles: What'd you do that for!?
Rouge: Hmph. 'Cause I don't like your attitude. "You're just a jewel thief, so you wouldn't know." Ugh! Instead of being so nasty all the time, maybe you could try being nice to me once in awhile and then maybe I wouldn't find you so unlikeable. As it is now, you're as sour as a truckload of lemons.
Knuckles: Then don't hang out with me!
Rouge: I won't!!! Once I'm gone, you'll be completely miserable, mister.
Knuckles: Actually, it'll be a huge relief not to have to deal with your batty behavior. But I'm sure you'll come flyin' back.
Rouge Screw Kicked Knuckles into a rock.
Y/n: (Thinking: This feels oddly familiar.)
Knuckles got up out of the ruble.
Knuckles: Oh. That does it.
He looks at Rouge.
Knuckles: It's been a real kick having you around, but you better behave yourself or I'll have to give you the boot!
Rouge: I'm gonna keep pounding away till I've got you tenderized..
Y/n stepped between them.
Y/n: Stop this senseless fighting now.
Rouge: Out of the way, Y/n!
Y/n: (sigh) I guess we're gonna have to do this the hard way.
Chaos: They're not going to take us without a fight.
In the sky.
Tails flew over to Eggman's Egg Imperial in the Tornado.
Tails: I'm grouchy when I don't get my sleep. I'll teach you not to wake me up, Eggman!
Eggman: I won't rest until I track down Sonic, and nobody else will either! So if you want to get back to sleep, then help me find that hedgehog!
Tails: I'm never helping you!
Amy threw another hammer at Eggman's ship.
Eggman: Hold on! We're not ready to fight you yet!
Eggman turned off the speaker only letting his robots hear it.
Eggman: Let's lead him into a trap. (Over speaker: Follow me, Tails!)
Tails: Okay, but don't try anything funny!
Eggman: Who, me?
Amy: Get back here! I'm not finished with you, Eggman.
Cream opened the door.
Cream: Why don't you come back inside, Amy? Your tea's getting cold.
Cheese: Chao, Chao, Chao!
With Tails and Eggman.
Eggman lead Tails to a part of the sky with lots of clouds.
Eggman: We'll hide from him behind these clouds. Then we can ambush that pest!
Tails started shooting lasers, but it didn't make a dent.
Eggman: Tails didn't even wait for us to double-cross him.
Decoe: that twerp is already one step ahead of you.
Eggman: All right! I'll just have to up the ante by triple-crossing him!
Bocoe: Oh, Doctor, he is coming at us again!
Eggman: Fire!
The Egg Imperial began to shoot multiple lasers at Tails which he was able to avoid.
Tails: Guess he's got me. I better get out of here, fast!
Tails flipped a lever which made a glass hood come up.
Tails: (gasp) Hey, what's going on?
Tails heard Chuck from the radio.
Chuck: (On radio: Tails, this is Chuck. Since you just pulled the transformation lever, I assume you're in danger right now. Don't worry, this new shield is made of a special material that can withstand almost any assault. When I heard you were leaving, I decided to give you a secret gift. I made sure you were away from the lab and made some modifications to the X Tornado. I'm not as clever an engineer as you or Y/n, but I don't think I did too badly, for an old-timer. Anyway, I did my best, and I hope your gift comes in handy.)
Tails: Thanks, Chuck.
Chuck: (On radio: X Tornado... transform!)
The X Tornado went from it blue design to a silver metallic design with some blue and yellow on it.
Chuck: (On radio: Now it's the Hyper-Tournado. Good luck, Tails.)
Tails: Eggman, look out!
Eggman: What is that?!
Bocoe: Tails transformed his plane.
Decoe: It looks completely different now.
Bokkun: And more dangerous!
Tails first shot them with really powerful lasers, the a bunch off missiles.
Tails: Fire plasma blast!
Tails shot a fireball at them. At the end of Tails' assault, the Egg Imperial didn't have a scratch on it.
Eggman: You've waste your time, you little pest, because in a few moments your plane will be history! Ha ha ha!
Decoe: We have the perfect weapon to take him down, Doctor.
Eggman: I'll turn the tables on Tails. Let's do a little fox hunting with our brand new interceptor missile!
Decoe: Roger! All systems are go. Begin missile launch sequence now!
The Egg Fortress shot a big missile at the Hyper-Tournado.
Tails: It's comin' quick, but I can trick it!
Tails try to lose the missile, but it failed.
Tails: If I can't out smart that thing, I'll outmaneuver it!
Tails flew to the Egg Fortress.
Tails: Here goes!
Tails was getting near.
Tails: So long.
Tails changed course last second to try and get the missile to hit the Egg Imperial instead, but it was still following him.
Eggman: (laughing) I've finally invented the perfect weapon! No matter how hard you try, you won't shake that missile from your tail, Tails.
Bocoe: This missile is programmed to only attack your plane.
Bokkun: (laughs) It adds a personal touch.
Decoe and Bocoe began to clap.
Bocoe: You have really outdone yourself, Doctor!
Decoe: You deserve credit for creative cruelty!
Tails was still flying away from the missile.
Tails: It's no use! I can't get away!
Eggman: I think Tails has learned his lesson. You can go ahead and recall the missile.
Decoe: But how, Doctor?
Eggman: Just hit the recall button.
Decoe: (sweating) Heh. There is no recall button.
Eggman: You didn't install one? Thanks to you, Tails really is going to be destroyed! With Sonic gone I can't afford to lose another enemy!
Decoe: Sorry, Doctor.
Bocoe: There is nothing we can do to save him now.
With Y/n.
He used Chaos' arms to push Rouge and Knuckles back.
Y/n: Feel like giving up yet?
Rouge: Sorry, but I still got some aggression to let out.
Rouge went for him, but when Y/n saw Tails in danger he grabbed Rouge and kneed her in the stomach.
Y/n: We'll settle this some other time.
He ran off to the edge of a different cliff and started charging lightning.
In the sky.
The missile was closing in on Tails.
Tails: This is it!
Y/n shot his lightning at the missile and destroyed it.
Tails: Huh? Y/n!
Tails flew over to him and Y/n got on the Hyper-Tournado's wing.
Tails: Thanks for the save. I owe ya.
Eggman: Well, should I feel honored that the new lord of the Thunderhogs came to fight me?
Y/n: Let's just get this over with.
A golden light appeared and Sonic in his super form came from it. Tails looked in shock as Y/n just crossed his arms and smiled a little.
Y/n: About time you showed up, Faker.
Sonic: I decided to take my time for once.
Y/n took off Chaos' bracelet.
Y/n: Sorry, Chaos. We don't want you going Perfect Chaos here.
Chaos: I understand.
Y/n: Here, Tails. Watch him for a bit.
Tails: You got it.
Y/n gave the bracelet to Tails and Sonic flew over to them.
Sonic: (extends hand) Need a hand?
Y/n: Never thought I'd say this to you, but yes.
Y/n took Sonic's hand which gave him the Chaos Emerald's energy and made him Super Y/n. The two hedgehogs flew over to the Egg Imperial.
Sonic: Hi, Eggman. What's up?
Eggman: Ah, you're finally here.
Sonic: (chuckling) You won't be conquering this world either.
Y/n: Not with us around.
Eggman: That's what you think, Super-Saps! If either of you dare to interfere with my plans, I'll squash you like bugs!
The Egg Battleship was destroyed in a mere second, but Eggman and his robots were able to get away. As Sonic and Y/n flew off, Tails flew behind them.
Tails: Boy, it's good to have my buddy back.
Y/n flew to him.
Y/n: And I would like mine back.
Tails: Oh, right.
Tails gave him Chaos's bracelet.
Chaos: I am glad you didn't forget me, Lord Y/n.
Y/n: I could never forget you, my partner. Now, let's head home.
Y/n flew over to Vanilla's house with Sonic by his side.
Y/n: This is where I get off. Little warning, Amy's gonna be running for you the second she knows your here.
Sonic: Same as always then.
Y/n flew down to Vanilla's house. Vanilla opened the door and as Y/n slowly flew down to her, she placed both her hands on Y/n's face.
Vanilla: Are you okay, my sweetie?
Y/n: I am fine, Mother.
The two smiled as they embraced each other and Y/n turned back to normal. They walked in to see Cream sleeping on Amy's lap.
Amy: Oh, your back.
Y/n: And there's someone here who you'll be happy to see.
Amy: Really?
Y/n: Yeah.
He gently picked up Cream.
Y/n: Go on.
Amy ran out of the house as Y/n took Cream to her room.
Vanilla: Hey, Y/n. Before you go to sleep, I would like to talk to you about something.
Y/n: What about?
Vanilla: Come with me.
She lead him to the kitchen where she showed him an old picture of a younger Vanilla with a female hedgehog in a dress and wearing Y/n's scarf.
Vanilla: Tell me, this hedgehog's name is M/n. Was she your Mother?
Y/n's eyes opened wide.
Y/n: I never saw a picture, but my Father and Uncle always said that was her name. How did you know her?
Vanilla: We were best friends when we were young, until she moved in hopes of meeting someone to start a family with. When I first met you, I wasn't sure that scarf your wearing was her scarf, but now I can finally compare.
Y/n: Well, that explains why I had some type of connection with Cream.
Vanilla: That's not all. We would say that if we had kids and if anything happened to one of us, we would take care of the other's baby. And right now, it feels like I'm fulfilling my promise to her.
Y/n smiled.
Y/n: Here.
Y/n took off his scarf and put it on Vanilla.
Y/n: I'm sure if she were around, she'd want you to have this.
Vanilla: Thank you.
They hugged again and Vanilla kissed his forehead, then Y/n went to bed.
Y/n: (sigh) I wonder how Chris and Helen are doing?
On earth.
Chris who was a lot taller and was wearing a lab coat over a white sweater was in front of the gate and typing on a keyboard. Helen, who was also taller and in a lab coat over an orange dress had her hair in a ponytail, and wearing blue heels walked over to him.
Helen: Chris! It's time.
Chris: Oh, yeah. That's right. We're supposed to meet Danny and Frances for lunch today. Let's go!
Chris grabbed her hand and rushed with her.
Helen: Easy, Chris! They know you're always late.
They got into a red car which Helen was driving.
Chris: Why don't you let me drive for a change?
Helen: No way. Riding while you drive is too nerve-racking.
Chris: What does that mean?
Helen: I'm a much better driver. I've never even gotten a parking ticket, which is more than I can say for you.
Chris: It's not my fault somebody turned that one-way sign around.
They got to a Café where they met an older Danny and Frances.
Frances: So, who's gonna test out your machine, Chris?
Danny: Why don't you send me, Chris? I'm not afraid to be the first one to give it a try.
Chris: It's not ready yet. My machine's totally useless 'til I can figure out how to cause Chaos Control.
Helen: But as soon as he does we'll all be able to go to Sonic and Y/n's world together.
Frances: Sounds dangerous to me.
Danny: Yeah, is Chris messes it up we could all be toast.
Chris: Well, you don't have to come with me, then.
All of them began to laugh.
Danny: Hard to believe it's been six years already.
Helen: Mmm. It went fast.
Frances: Yeah, almost at Sonic speed.
Helen: Or lightning speed.
Chris: (Thinking: Sonic.)
Helen: (Thinking: Y/n.)
Flashback.
The two were with the hedgehogs as the Chaos Emeralds floated around them.
Chris: You collected the Chaos Emeralds. Now I see. You don't need the machine that Tails and Grandpa built. You two can cause Chaos Control yourselves.
Helen: And gain super cool forms. No pun intended.
Chris: You were able to gather 'em all in a flash... because you're so fast. Even though I've been tough to deal with lately, you two never gave up on me. Thank you. All of you.
Helen: It's so like you to have a backup plan, Y/n.
Sonic: Chris.
Sonic put Chris on his back while Y/n did the same with Helen.
Sonic: I'm gonna go really fast. Hang on.
Y/n: Let's see who can give their friend the most fun.
Helen: You two and your little competitions.
As the two hedgehogs ran, Helen and Chris started to remember all the good times they spent together and they saw tears come from the two hedgehogs.
