Ferran was taken care of by the nurse when SPO1 Sanchez arrived at the hospital. He got a few scarce but he barely noticed it because he was thinking of something more important.

"Ferran," Sanchez exclaimed when he saw his wounded friend. "What are you doing here? The hospital reported about the incident and Georgia was---"

"Murdered," Ferran stated.

"H-How—" Sanchez was interrupted by someone who had just arrived.

"You are the last to be seen when the incident happened. Maybe you were involved?" SPO2 Alfarez suddenly appeared somewhere and looked at him suspiciously.

He could not help but answer it with condemnation.

"Are you accusing me? Hah! Unbelievable." Ferran couldn't believe that old Timotheus used to think that way. Really annoying. He clenched his fist and stopped himself to punch Alfarez.

"Alfarez, you may forget that it is unreasonable to accuse someone without sufficient evidence. Watch your words." A serious reminder from Sanchez that weighed down the aura between them.

"There is no secret that cannot be revealed." Alfarez's face darkened.

"When I find out that you have something to do with it," he paused. "I, myself will take you behind the bars," Alfarez said emphatically before he and SPO2 Beltran proceed to the morgue.

"What a jerk," Ferran whispered to himself.

They waited for the test result and stayed for five long hours before the result came out. It was proved that his knife was not used to stab Georgia Ramos. Ferran gave his statement to the police in charge before he was allowed to leave.

Sanchez accompanied Ferran to his pick-up car. "Are you sure you can go home alone?"

"I can handle myself."

"Be careful."

"I'm leaving," Ferran said goodbye before he started driving. Past 5 AM when he got home and before he could go home, something silly happened.

He almost went to Alfarez house when he realized that he was now in Ferran's body. He thought that he must get used to the life Ferran has because he did not know how long he'll stay in his body.

Despite the exhaustion, he can't sleep because of what happened at the hospital. He is used to seeing a dead body or a dying person but he can't help but think about today's incident.

Ferran thought he could save his friend but he couldn't. The thing that bothers him most is the last words from Georgia before she died.

***

"Holysh*t!"

Georgia had a deep wound near her heart and it looked like it had been stabbed with a knife but he was so sure that it was not because of his military knife. He was about to call a doctor when a warm hand grabbed his arm to stop him.

"Lab... path... behind s-school... stop... d-danger... virus... Carin---" she did not finish what she was saying because she had lost her life.

He immediately called a doctor and the hospital called the police. The police who arrived at the hospital found another knife at the scene beside the knife used by Ferran.

The knives were collected by the evidence technician to examine it. He waited for the result while a nurse put some ointment on his swollen wounds and that time, SPO1 Sanchez arrived.

***

"Gigi's last words... What does it mean?" At the thought of those things, he confirmed something.

'The virus! She knows something about it! I'm so close. Damn it!'

He sat at the edge of the bed and put his elbows on his knees. He combed his hair with his bare fingers.

"Wait...Her almost last word."

**

"Lab... path... behind s-school... stop... d-danger... virus... Carin---"

**

"Carin...? Is... Is she talking about Carina? Why? What's up? Did she also know about the incident that happened years ago?" He laid down and sighed deeply.

'If I only knew that she might have known what happened to Carina... f*ck it!'

Later on, Ferran fell asleep due to extreme fatigue.

***

"Daddy... Kuya... S-so itchy... It's hot..."

"No... Let's do something! We can't let her die like this! We... We can't." Tears fell from his cheeks.

"Dad..." Trestan was trying to pull him. "We need... to go."

"Dad we need to..." He hardly gulped. "... leave."

"What about your sister's body?" Timotheus asked his son, full of pain in his voice.

"We can't do anything about it! We can't touch her. It's dangerous! Let's go, dad!"

["World News, a disease called Lila Virus or known as LiVi-20... 48% of the world's population was infected and 13% of them were killed by this new and deadly disease. This epidemic rapidly turns into a pandemic crisis... every citizen must stay at home and stay safe to avoid the increasing number of infected."]

"Dad, we've been observing this virus for almost two years. We're currently finding an effective cure but there is some missing piece in the formula and we can't determine it yet. We don't know what it is and where we---"

"It's useless! It's useless... Your sister is d-dead," His voice cracked. "And we have done n-nothing to help her. Many people are dying."

"Dad---"

Timotheus was the most injured in the accident and before he lost consciousness, he heard his son calling him.

"Dad... Dad... Dad..."

***

The memory from the future always haunts him every night.

Every time he opens his eyes from that nightmare, it feels like he always had an accident.

'Maybe... It was a sign given to me. I need to do something to change the future but the question is...'

"How?"

A knock outside his room made him startled. "Uncle, here's your breakfast." The teenage girl again. He sighed before he opened the front door. "Good morning uncle!"

"Uh... Good morning," He took the container handed to him. "Thanks for the breakfast. And by the way, do you mind if I ask a weird question?"

"I don't mind." She blinked twice while waiting for her uncle's question.

"What's your name again?" He forgot her name but he was sure that she was a Ferran.

"Huh?"

"Ah... I mean..." He was still thinking of an excuse but the girl spoke.

"Uncle, are you sick? It's me... Blair, remember? Your brother's only daughter."

"Ah yeah. Blair..." He tried to remember her whole name so that she doesn't question him and his suspicious act.

"Blair Gabrielle!" Said Ferran with gladness.

He remembered what Blair did weeks before the incident happened in his life. The girl who fought against the psychopath in the amusement park.

"Are you making fun of me, uncle?"

"Sorry, ha-hangover. I was drunk last night. Oh." He lied and touched his temple, slightly massaging it. Ferran is a heavy drinker so it is not a suspicious excuse.

"You don't look like one though." Blair mumbled. "What's with you these past few days, uncle? You're---"

"Nothing. I'm just tired. That's it."

"Oh... Okay. I guess... uhm... I should leave." She smiled at him and was about to turn her back but she stilled when her uncle put his hand on her head. He slightly messed up his niece's hair and smiled.

"Again, thanks for the food." He said before closing the door.

While walking towards her bike, a deep thought entered Blair's mind.

'He's tired and... has a hangover but he smiled. That's...new. Uncle never smiles like that.'

Ferran leaned at the back of the door and sighed for the nth time. He felt Blair froze when he did the little gesture he always does to Cally.

'I thought they were close... is that a wrong move? *sighed*'
