Bokkun was inside the old Egg Fort standing in front of yellow robot, blue eyes and orange parts on it laying down with wires hooked up to it.
Bokkun: Hey, Emerl. Wake up. I said wake up! You can hear me, can't you? Turn yourself on! What's the matter with you? Did your brain short circuit? Come on. Get up! We've got an important mission to carry out and there's no time to lose!
The robot that was named Emerl finally stood up and it looked to be around the same height as Amy.
Bokkun: Good! I hope your batteries are all charged up because we're gonna have a really busy day. I'm in charge of this operation so you have to obey all of my commands, okay?
Emerl nodded.
Bokkun: All right, Emerl, let's go.
Emerl unhooked himself from his wires and walk to Bokkun as he opened the door.
Bokkun: We're gonna give Sonic a real bash today. Forward march!
They walked out of there.
The news was on Scarlet Garcia who was at City Park with a bunch of people running and some are wearing scarfs
Scarlet: City Park has been overrun... Overrun by fitness fans obsessed with running. This new craze is all thanks to Sonic the Hedgehog. His heroics are inspiring thousands of people to put on their jogging shoes and run for fun.
A man ran to her.
Scarlet: Why did you decide to take up running, sir?
Man: I don't know. Sonic has such a great time racing around, I thought I'd try.
Scarlet: And don't think that people have forgotten about our other hero, Y/n. Lots of people are wearing scarfs no matter the weather or conditions.
A runner with a scarf came by.
Scarlet: Mr, why are you wearing that scarf while running?
Scarf runner: I don't know. Y/n always looks so cool with one, and it helps you sweat more when you run.
Scarlet: School officials and athletic coaches report that their track programs are more popular than ever and new records are being set daily. Experts in sports psychology are baffled by the sudden turn of events.
Cream was playing with building blocks, Chris was sitting in a chair reading, Vanilla and Spark were sitting on the couch, and Y/n finally took off his bandages.
Chaos: Looks like you've made a complete recovery.
Y/n: Let's hope it'll last.
???: Sonic!
Amy barged in the room with an angry look on her face.
Chris: Hi, Amy.
Cream: What's wrong?
Amy jumped on the table.
Amy: Hmp. All right, where are you hiding, Sonic? You better come out now.
Chris: He's not here.
Amy pulled Chris in with one arm.
Amy: You can't fool me. I know you're hiding and Chris is covering for you come on out, Sonic.
She got out her hammer.
Y/n: Hey, you better let him go with that.
Amy turned to Y/n angrily.
Amy: Found you.
He jumped at Y/n who kicked the hammer out of her hand and held her hands back.
Amy: How dare you, Sonic?
Y/n: You stupid bitch. Look at my left wrist.
She looked and saw the gold ring, bracelet, and Chaos.
Amy: Wait, you're.
He kicked her chin and jumped back a save distance.
Vanilla: Oh my.
Y/n: Even after all this time, you still can't tell us apart.
Amy spat out some blood.
Amy: Can you blame me? You two look exactly alike apart from your color.
Spark: You and Sonic do share a lot of physical similarities, Y/n.
Y/n: Not now, uncle.
Chris: Let's just calm down. Sonic was here earlier but he left, and he didn't say where he was going.
Y/n: So just classic him.
Amy: I better find him right away or there's gonna be big trouble.
Chris: Why? What's wrong?
Cream: Is a monster attacking the city again?
Chaos: Uh, how's the first monster, I take that a bit offensive.
Cream: Sorry.
Amy: No, it's worse.
Amy growled as a red aura surrounded her, scaring Cream and Cheese.
Cream: I'm sorry, Amy, I didn't mean to make you angry.
Cheese: Chao. Chao.
Y/n: You don't need to apologize for anything, Cream. It's this Sonic obsessed freak who must apologize.
Amy: (red aura) Excuse me?!
Y/n: Come closer (blue aura) and I'll tell you more.
Chris: Take it easy. Amy, just tell us what's going on and maybe we can help.
Amy: Nobody can help. Sonic had a date with me and he never showed up!
Chris: Is that all?
Amy: Oh, so you think I'm overreacting?
Chris: Well, just a little.
Y/n: More like a lot.
Amy: That's easy for you two to say. It took him forever to ask me out. I was so excited I went out and bought a brand new shoes.
She was indeed now shiny red shoes.
Amy: And a new hair ribbon.
Her hair ribbon now had a small flower on it.
Y/n: Oh, is that what those were? I thought you just fell in the garden and signed up your old shoes.
Amy: Why you.
Vanilla: Can't we all just calm this down?
Cream: You look really nice, Amy.
Amy: It doesn't matter how I look because Sonic stood me up.
She started crying.
Chris: I'm sure there's a good reason Sonic missed your date.
Amy: Oh, yeah, like what?
Chris: Well, maybe he- I know. He had to stop Eggman from destroying the planet.
Amy: I thought Dr. Eggman was in prison.
Y/n: He is. I call the prison every once in awhile to make sure he's not trying to break out.
Chris: Yeah, I forgot.
Amy: Just like Sonic forgot our date.
Chris: Maybe he is coming, but he's running late.
Spark: Look young lady, I get that you're upset because the one person you love asked you out but didn't show up, but tell me, even if he did what difference would it make?
Amy: You don't know? Love is a magical thing. It can bring you happiness, and in serious relationships it can even bring you pleasure.
Y/n: I wonder if it could also bring you class.
Amy got really annoyed this time but instead of screaming she let out a sigh.
Amy: That was strike three. Spark, out of curiosity you don't have any kids, do you?
Spark: (looks down) Not anymore.
Y/n got a bit angry.
Amy: Well then, once I beat down your stupid nephew, we'll all be rid of that wretched Thunderhog bloodline for good.
Amy walked to the door.
Y/n: Take that back!
Amy: I don't think I will.
Y/n: Take it back now, Rose!
Amy: You're going to have to make me.
Y/n eyes filled with murderous attention.
Y/n: So be it.
They both went outside.
Vanilla: Hey, wait.
Spark stopped her.
Spark: We can watch if we want, but we can't interfere. Amy and Y/n started this themselves, so they can end it themselves.
Chris: But Spark, what if they kill each other?
Spark: I'll step in if things get too violent. Now, if you want to watch the battle feel more than free.
They all went to the yard to see Amy and Y/n standing across from each other.
Y/n: Chaos, I want you to sit this one out. And no matter how much I beg or ask for it, do not help me. This is between me and her.
Chaos: As you wish.
Chaos hopped to the others.
Spark: All right. These are the rules, you may use any physical abilities, but no weapons or special powers.
Y/n: So, hand to hand combat?
Spark: Yes. This battle ends when one can no longer continue. If it gets too violent, I will step in to stop the fight.
Amy: Right.
Y/n: Got it.
Spark: All right. You may begin.
Y/n: I will give you one last chance. If you take back what you said about my clan, I might show mercy.
Amy: Well, too bad I won't show any no matter what.
Amy ran at him and threw a punch but he sped out of the way.
Amy: Speed's allowed?
Chaos: It's among his physical capabilities, so I don't see why it shouldn't.
Amy tried to kick him but Y/n dodged it and kicked Amy's legs to make her fall over face first.
Amy: You...
Y/n twisted her right arm behind her back.
Y/n: I'll brake it.
Everyone except Spark and Chaos gasped.
Y/n: I really will. Take back what you said.
Amy: Never!
Y/n ripped her arm out of the socket which made her cry softly.
Chaos: There goes her right arm. Hey, Amy, you ready to take back what you said now?
Amy: No.
Y/n: Then I guess I keep braking bones. Maybe your leg this time.
Amy screamed and got out her hammer which made Y/n dash to a save distance.
Chris: Hey, this is only supposed to be hand to hand combat!
Amy: Screw that! I'll see to it this jerk suffers for everything he said.
Y/n ran at Amy and tried to punch her, but she swang her hammer and broke Y/n's left arm which made him grunt in pain.
Chaos: Oh, come on. That just healed!
Amy: Now, we're even.
Y/n: Do you honestly believe that you can beat me now that we both have broken arms?
Amy: Yeah.
She jumped up and tried to smash Y/n while he used every bit of strength in his broken arm to charge his lightning into his right index and middle fingers to strike her.
Cream: No!
Spark: And this is where I step in.
Spark pushed Amy onto the ground, then he grabbed Y/n's lightning infused fingers and released the lightning through his other hand and threw Y/n.
Spark: After we treat your arms, we have a talk.
They all went inside to wrap up Y/n and Amy's arms.
Spark: Now, Amy, did you seriously use your hammer even though I said no weapons?!
Amy: Well-
Spark: Is that how you acted in the face of defeat.
Y/n: Serves you right, Rose.
Spark: Y/n, you are not blameless either! Tell me, when you were about to use your lightning to kill her?!
Y/n: She disrespected our clan!
Spark: And she was wrong to, but you do not stoop to that level! You prove that you are better! If you two want to have differences, go ahead! But you do not do it through trying to kill one another!
They were quiet until the doorbell rang.
Amy: He's here.
She ran to the door.
Amy: Sonic!
She opened the door.
Amy: I'm ready. Huh?
Sam was on the other side of the door.
Sam: Hey, is Sonic around, Amy? I just put a new engine in my car and he said he'd race me. I can't wait. My new engine runs on high-octane rocket fuel. It's got more horsepower than you can find at a rodeo. With this baby under the hood, I'll be takin' a victory lap before Sonic leaves the starting line.
Chris, Y/n, Cream and Cheese followed after Amy.
Chris: Hi, Uncle Sam.
Sam: I hope Sonic's not gettin' cold feet. When I called him this morning, he said he didn't have anything else to do today.
Amy started shaking as she got angry.
Sam: What's wrong? You look steamed.
Amy: Sonic has a date with me!
They all stepped outside to talk.
Chris: She's upset because Sonic missed their date.
Sam: Well, that's a bummer. Looks like Sonic made two different appointments and stood both of us up.
Chris: That doesn't sound like Sonic.
Amy: The truth is Sonic doesn't care about me. That's why he didn't show up for our date.
Cream: Amy.
Y/n: Finally, you're starting to understand.
Sam: Y/n, what do you by chance be interested in racing?
Y/n: Piss off. You know, here's a thought of what happened with Sonic. Maybe he regretted the decision of making plans with you both so much that he decided to run off to find the nearest volcano and jump in it.
Chris: Y/n!
Sam: Sonic's a busy guy. I bet it takes lots of patience to date him, not to mention a pair of really excellent running shoes to keep up with him.
He laughed.
Chris: Uncle Sam!
Amy: I know!
Amy flipped into Sam's car.
Amy: Since Sonic bailed on both of us, we'll go out together.
Chris: You two?
Amy: Come on, we better get going before the whole day is shot.
Sam smiled and got in the driver's seat.
Sam: All right, Amy. Let's show Sonic we don't need him to have fun.
Chris: Hold on, Uncle Sam.
Sam: Don't worry. We won't be long. Last year I set a world record for speed dating.
Y/n: And? You want a cookie?
Sam: Your sarcasm amuses me, Y/n.
Cream thought for a moment.
Cream: I think this is actually a pretty good idea.
Chris: Really?
Cream: Yeah. And here's how you can make it better (points at Y/n) bring Y/n with you.
Y/n: What did you say?
Amy: Uh, why would we do that?
Cream: I think this trip could be a good chance for you to get to know each other better.
Y/n: Fat chance, Cream. I wouldn't be caught dead with this witch.
Amy: Neither would I with this jerk.
Cream: Look, you two better spend some time together and at least try to get along, or else I'll hate you both forever and I'll never speak to either of you again!
Y/n and Amy froze up hearing this.
Y/n: Fine. I'll go. Not like I'll enjoy it or anything.
Y/n hopped on behind the seats.
Sam: Okay, I guess we're ready then.
Sam drove off.
Chris: You know, Cream. You started to sound a bit like an earlier version of Y/n a second ago.
Cream: Did I? I guess that's something that comes with training under him.
On the road.
They were driving through.
Amy: Sonic is the most self-centered guy I've ever met.
Sam: Ha, this wind is really refreshing.
Y/n was talking to Chaos in his bracelet.
Y/n: This is gonna be a long day, Chaos.
Chaos: On the bright side, it'll save your relationship with Cream.
Amy: He's always running off on adventures without telling anybody. And I end up alone.
Sam: This new engine is great. And it gets awesome mileage, too.
Chaos: I still can't believe Amy there broke your arm.
Y/n: I should have known I would have jinxed it had I said anything.
Amy: Even if I could keep up with Sonic, he's not the kind of guy who could settle down or even stand still for long.
Sam: Whoa, S-turns. Wait till you see how this baby handles.
Y/n: I'm in no rush to find out.
Amy: Neither of you have heard a word I said.
Y/n: Mostly because I really don't care.
Sam: Hang on, here goes.
The took lots of turns.
Sam: Why waste time on Sonic if you can't catch him? After all, in life you only get one lap around the track.
Amy: I don't know for sure that it can't work out with Sonic. Now that I think about it. Y/n, are you and Rouge in a relationship or are you two just having fun?
Y/n was using Chaos arms to stay in place with turns.
Y/n: I actually haven't spoken to Rouge in a while.
Amy: Why?
Chaos: Because after some incident the other day...
Y/n got some form of PTSD and saw Rouge with a whip, him tied to a bed but Chaos got him free and they both got out of there.
Y/n: We agreed that we would never bring up the events that transpired that day again.
Chaos: Sorry.
Sam: I still say you tell him to hit the road. But I guess he already did.
Amy: Let's drop the subject and figure out where we're gonna go.
Sam: You just name it.
Amy: The beach.
Sam: That's kind of far.
Amy: Well, Sonic doesn't like water so we won't run into him there.
Sam: You win, princess. If you wanna hide out from Sonic at the beach then we'll coast to the coast.
Amy: All right. Thank you. One more thing. Let's all agree not to talk about Sonic, okay?
Sam: The hedgehog is now history.
Amy: What about you two? Do you agree not to bring up Sonic?
Y/n/Chaos: Who?
Amy: Exactly.
A few minutes later.
The four found themselves in a field full of sheep.
Amy: Oh, great.
Chaos: How the hell did we even get here? I thought we were supposed to go to the beach.
Y/n: We were, and we would be right now if somebody actually knew how to drive.
Amy: As much as I hate to agree with this guy, he's right. Didn't you tell us you knew a shortcut to the beach?
Sam: Sure, but I didn't say I was taking it, did I?
Amy: I bet you're lost, aren't you?
Sam: Hey, I never get lost. I just can't figure out where I am sometimes.
Y/n: That's the exact definition of being lost.
Sam: Well, if you want to get technical about it.
Chaos: Dumb ass.
Amy: This date's a disaster!
They drove to a general store and Amy barged in with sand and a leaf all over her.
Amy: I need a map.
Old man: Sure thing. Looks to me like you could use a bath, too.
Amy: I know.
She started to dust herself off and the other three finally caught up with her.
Sam: I guess I should have put the top up when we went down that dirt road.
Y/n: I appreciate you fending off the dirt for me, Chaos.
Chaos: It's fine. That's what partners are for.
Amy: We're not taking any more shortcuts. I'm buying a map and I'm gonna figure out the best route to get to the beach.
Sam: Hey, why don't we just have Y/n here go check the routes and tell us where to go.
Y/n: Because once I get there, I'll stay and enjoy myself and leave before you get there.
Sam: Does sound like something you'd do.
He looked at Amy.
Sam: What have we here?
He picked the leaf out of Amy's quills and blew it into the air.
Amy: How can you be so easy going? Don't either of you care if we're lost?
Sam: it doesn't matter to me where I end up as long as I have fun getting there.
Y/n: As a wise man once said, "it's not about the destination it's about the journey."
Amy: Those both sound like something Sonic would say.
Old man: Sonic? You just said the magic word, Miss.
The old man looked at Y/n.
Old man: Oh, nice to see you, Y/n. You wouldn't happened to know this young lady, would you?
Y/n: We're acquaintances.
Amy: We're not really close like me and Sonic are.
Sam: Except when they have a date.
Sam laughed which made Amy get mad and step on his foot.
Old man: I owe Y/n and Sonic more than I could ever repay.
Amy: Why? What did you and Sonic do for this old man.
Y/n: Well, his grandson was on a runaway horse, this man couldn't stop the horse, so I had Chaos stop the horse while got the kid away from it.
Amy: You and Sonic came to the rescue again.
Y/n: It was really mostly my fondness towards kids.
Sam: Seems so, because the only reason you agreed to come with us is because the kid you're really fond of threaten to hate you and never talk to you again.
Sam laughed again which made Y/n kick him in the shin which caused Sam to grab it in pain.
Old man: The welcome mat'll always be out on my front porch for Sonic and Y/n the Hedgehog. And any friends of there's is a friend of mine.
Y/n: Making a lot of assumptions there, sir.
The old man handed them a map and a small bag of candy.
Old man: Here, take it, and take some candy too. With my compliments.
The four got back to the car.
Amy: Bye-bye! Thanks for everything!
They drove off and headed back on the road.
Sam: You know, I just remembered something. Sonic and I are supposed to have our race tonight not today.
Amy: Then Sonic only stood me up.
Sam: I forget sometimes. I guess when you move as fast as I do, it's hard for your memory to keep up with ya!
Y/n: Please, if that was the case I would have forgot I ever met you.
Amy: (Thinking: I wish I could forget Sonic.)
She looked at Y/n who carefully looked at the map and then looked at the bag of candy.
Amy: Hey, Y/n.
Y/n: Yeah?
Amy: (pulled out a piece of candy) Would you like a piece? Don't get me wrong though, I don't like this flavor and I saw you eat it once.
Y/n: Whatever the reason, I'll take it.
Later.
They stopped in front of a Café, Y/n, Chaos and Amy waited in the car for Sam.
Amy: I guess I should just face facts. Sonic's always gonna be on the run. I guess the two of us just aren't meant to be.
Y/n: You're better at understanding situations.
Amy: That Y/n sarcastic genius must be rubbing off on me.
Sam came back with three ice cream cones.
Sam: Here.
He gave Y/n and Amy one.
Amy/Y/n: Thank you.
They start eating their ice cream.
Y/n: Chaos, I'd offer you some, but I don't know how you're going to eat without a mouth.
Chaos: I can talk without a mouth, can't I?
Chaos took one arm and absorbed it.
Amy: You're like Sonic, aren't you, Sam?
Sam: I wish. When Sonic wants to hit the road, all he needs are his feet. Unfortunately, I can't travel very fast without a car.
Amy: No car in the world can keep up with Sonic when he's running at full speed.
Sam: Yeah, you're right.
Amy: Then why race him?
Sam: Hey, I still have to try.
Amy: Yeah, that's the same way I feel.
Y/n: Well then, I'm afraid to tell you that you're both just setting yourselves up for failure.
Amy: Y/n, you can run fast too. So, why aren't you always running off like Sonic?
Y/n: Because unlike Sonic, I know that there's a time and place for everything. Like there's a time to run and a time not to run.
Sam: I get it, you don't run a lot so you can stay with the people you love and protect them when they need it.
Y/n: (blushing) Uh, love is a strong word. I prefer, care about.
Amy: So wait, not to make any assumptions but does that mean you care about me somewhat?
Y/n: Uh-
Chaos: Come on, Y/n. Just tell her.
Amy: Tell me what?
Y/n: Amy, anytime I say you're nothing but a weak good for nothing little girl, I really think you're a strong independent woman.
Amy: What?
Y/n: (sigh) The reason I mean to you or that I hit you for loving Sonic isn't because I think you're not good enough for him, it's that I think he's not good enough for you. When you get pass your obsessive and clingy nature, you're actually a pretty good person and I think that you deserve someone who will love you the same way you love them.
Amy was completely speechless that Y/n, the guy who was always mean to her and hits here, thought all of this stuff about her.
Amy: Well, why didn't you just say that?
Y/n: Because there was no way you were ever going to let me live it down.
Amy: Well, I actually think you're a pretty great guy. And I guess the reason I'm always mean to you is because deep down I don't want to admit that you're right.
Suddenly, a big yellow robot car zoomed past them.
Sam: You two love birds are going to have to finish this talk later.
Y/n: I'll run by myself this time.
Sam and Amy got in the car while Y/n ran after the robot.
Sam: Headquarters think that machine's headed for the jail where Eggman's locked up.
Amy: That thing'll break in so Eggman can break out. If we let that thing get to the city, Eggman will be on the loose again.
Y/n: Then it looks like we'll have to stop it first.
Amy: But how.
Sam: Well, my car is no match for an armored beast like that.
Amy: I would stop it with may hammer, but my dominant arm is broken thanks to a certain someone.
Sam: What about that move you used to destroy the Egg Moon controller, Y/n?
Y/n: I only learned how to use it in my left arm and hand which was broken by a certain someone.
Sam: Okay, here's an idea. Why don't you two just combined your attacks.
Y/n/Amy: Huh?
Sam: It'll be the force of Amy's hammer along with the powerful electricity from Y/n.
Amy: That doesn't sound to bad.
Y/n: It might be just crazy enough to work.
Sam: Okay. Hang on, Amy.
Sam pressed a few buttons.
Sam: I changed it to racing mode.
The car changed and it now looked like a jet with wheels.
Sam: Now let's chase that mean machine down and run it off the road.
They chased after the machine.
Amy: We're losing it.
Sam: Don't worry. I know a shortcut.
Sam and Amy went off the road and went back on the road in front of the machine and Y/n caught up to them.
Amy: Steady, Sam.
Amy stood up with her hammer.
Y/n: How exactly are we going to combine her hammer with my lightning.
Sam: Put the lightning in hand and place it on the hammer and maybe the lightning will stream through the hammer or something.
Y/n: It's worth a try.
Sam: You both only have one shot.
Amy: That's all we need.
Amy put her hammer in front of Y/n who laced it in lightning, Amy hit the machine and the lightning on the hammer entered its system and made it explod.
Amy: We did it!
Sam: Great work, you two! Isn't this a great feeling? We're almost at Sonic speed.
Amy felt the rush and wind blow through her face.
Amy: Sonic, now I understand why you love to run.
Chaos: I've felt this ever since I became Y/n's partner.
Y/n: I guess it does feel pretty great.
All four of them looked at exch other and fist bumped.
Sam: Y/n, want to give this thing a little test race?
Y/n: Usually I'd say no, but what the hell? I'm in a good mood today.
They raced and after a bit they made it to the beach to watch the sunset.
Chaos: I believe me and Y/n are the winners.
Sam: Only because I wasn't using full speed.
Y/n: Well, neither was I so.
Amy: When we were racing down that road I felt so alive, it was incredible.
Sam: You could go faster. You should try supersonic speed.
Amy: Maybe someday.
Sam: You know, this turned out to be one of the best dates I ever had.
Y/n: I enjoyed it too, despite being what they call a third wheel.
He smiled and chuckled a little.
Amy: What's so funny?
Y/n: I just feel silly about the way I've always acted towards you, Amy. I am truly sorry.
Amy: Me too. And I take back everything I said about your clan. If it weren't for you and Sam, I'd have spent all day feeling sad.
Sam: The day's not over yet. You could still be in for a surprise.
They turned around and saw Sonic.
Sonic: Hey there! Sorry I'm late!
Amy laughed in joy and ran at Sonic.
Amy: Sonic, you do care about me.
She was about to hug him but he moved aside and ran to Sam.
Sonic: I'm ready to race, Sam.
Sam: My car has a new engine. It'll blast right past you.
Sonic: We'll see about that.
Sam jumped in the car.
Sonic: Ready when you are.
Sam: Get set, go!
They began there race leaving Amy with Y/n and Chaos.
Amy: Those two guys. This was definitely, the worst date ever.
Y/n sad that she was sad and mad.
Y/n: Chaos, you mind?
Chaos: I'm on it.
Chaos incised Y/n's arm and it extended to catch Sonic and drag him back to them and he threw Sonic on the ground.
Y/n: Sonic, apologize to Amy right now.
Sonic: What?
Y/n: Didn't you say you had something planned with her?
Sonic thought for a moment and realized.
Sonic: Amy, I'm so sorry I missed our date. I caught up with Bokkun.
Y/n: Of course.
Sonic: After this race, I promise I'll take you on a date.
Y/n: Prepare to get your legs broken if you attend to break that promise.
Sonic: You got it.
He ran off and Amy was speechless then smiled.
Amy: Thank you. You didn't have to do that, but...
Y/n: I wanted to, that's what friends are for. And that's what we are now, right?
Amy: Right.
Y/n: But if anybody figured out they definitely wouldn't let us live it down.
Amy: Well then, as far as anyone else is concerned, we are still enemies. Got that, you smart alec jerk?
Y/n smiled a little.
Y/n: You got it, you manipulative bitch.
Amy: Just know, before I do what I'm about to do, I know you're Y/n.
Y/n: What are you-
Amy hugged him tight.
