Chapter Thirty-Six
My eyes snapped open within a second of hearing that word. My confused brain picked on the word immediately and demanded attention.
Mine?
What does he mean by that? What's his?
My brain was trying to comprehend what he meant by that word, it was trying it's best to but it wasn't working like usual. It felt as though there was a huge thick dense fog in it's way and to understand anything I had to manoeuvre my way through it to get to the clear section where I can take in what he said.
He must not have realised he had said that because he continued to close the space between us, his lust filled eyes lighting my body up. However the light was fading as I started to frown. I wanted to know what he meant by that. Even though my brain still felt as though it was intoxicated and part of it wanted me to ignore it and kiss him the other part of it was screaming that I stop and pay attention.
The latter part of my brain that was screaming 'danger' won and I found myself moving my head back. "What?"
"Hmm." He mumbled, trying to close the distance I had created between us.
As the fog in my brain started to dissipate, my hands dropped from his hair and swung lifelessly by my side. "What do you mean by 'mine'?"
It was as though I as watching a movie, the lust and passion from his eyes became to disperse and his face began to harden. This time it was him who was confused. "What?"
He clearly had no recollection of saying it. Unsure of whether or not I should ask again, I shook my head. "Can you put me down please?" He was still holding me up and my feet was dangling around as if I was a ragdoll.
He did as I asked but kept our closeness which made things even more awkward and tense. Deciding to create space both mentally and physically I took a small step back.
Alpha Alessandro didn't seem to like that as a frown began to form on his face. "What did you say earlier?"
What did I say earlier? Do you mean what did you say earlier?
"Erm." I didn't want to answer him, I had this feeling that he would not like my answer even though he asked for it and was the one to actually say it.
"Did you say 'mine'?" He leaned closer, his eyes filled with curiosity and something else I couldn't quite pinpoint.
Nah, that was you!
Why the hell would I say 'mine' to him and why the hell did he say 'mine'? Was this some sort of territorial wolf thing? They claim everything as theirs, even their prisoners?
In a way I guess it made sense, he was an Alpha after all. Everything did belong to him.
"Did you say 'mine'?" He inched closer, his tone filled with urgency as if he had to know the answer.
Swallowing harshly I shook my head. "No I didn't." I paused before continuing. "You did."
Alpha Alessandro snapped his eyes away from mine instantly but not before I saw a glimpse of disappointment on his face.
Why was he disappointed? Did he want me to say it?
You're going crazy Nala, why would he want you to say that?
A tense silence fell upon us and I rubbed my hands together nervously as I waited for him to continue. After a couple of minutes of silence and me looking at the back of his head I found myself becoming slightly impatient.
"So." I began to say. "Can I have my phone back now?"
He said he would give it and I was hoping I could hold him to his words. However, he did ask for something in return. A kiss.
As much as it pains me to say this I would have kissed him if it resulted in me getting my phone back. I know it's wrong to do sexual things in exchange for things but this wasn't sexual. It would have just been a quick peck. Does that make me a slag? Someone with no morals?
What pained me even more to admit was that I wasn't upset, horrified or disgusted at the thought of kissing him, if anything I think I wanted to. My mind was telling me to, my body was. It was as if I was under some sort of spell.
What was happening to me? Why am I feeling like this?
The Alpha finally turned around to face me, his face void of any expressions. Since we were about to kiss a few minutes ago I decided he wouldn't be too angry that I was making direct eye contact with him.
"You may have your phone back."
Yes!
"But."
Nooo! Why is there a but?
"But what?" I quickly asked. Did he still want me to kiss him? Did I want to do that?
"Kiss me."
I can't believe I was going to do this. Taking in a deep breath, I took a step forward.
You're doing this for Cami, you're doing this for Cami.
I repeated those words over and over again to justify why I was doing this yet I knew that a small part of me that wasn't doing it just for Cami, I was doing it because I wanted to.
Pushing that realisation away, I closed the gap between us and leaned in. This time it was different, the atmosphere was different and the Alpha was different. He wasn't looking at me in the same way as earlier, he seemed more in control now and there were no emotions in his eyes.
"I can't reach you." I muttered gesturing to our height distance.
A small smile began to form on the Alpha's face and he let out a small chuckle. "Tiny human."
Resisting the urge to correct him and tell him that I was in fact average height for a woman I shrugged my shoulders. "You're huge."
The smile on his face changed into a smirk. "I know."
Eww.
I instantly knew what he meant and my eyes betrayed me and dropped down to his pants.
"Human." The Alpha snapped, sounding somewhat annoyed. I looked up to see the same fiery passion in his eyes like earlier. "Do not look at me."
I immediately broke eye contact with him and looked at the ground. A warm hand cupped my chin and tilted my head back.
"Look at my eyes."
What? You just told me not to look at you! Now you want me to look at you?
The Alpha baffled me with his words and action and continued to do so when he gently wrapped one of his arm around my waist, pulling me towards him. He bent his head down and I could feel myself being lifted from the ground. The action wasn't as rough as earlier and was gentle and soft.
It was going to be just one peck and that's it, nothing else was going to happen. After that I would get my phone back and would be able to contact Cami anytime I wanted.
As we both began to lean towards each other, I closed my eyes and held my breath in anticipation. He was so close, too close, I could feel his warm breath on my face. His lips brushed against mine, barely touching but the electricity that rushed through my body was anything but slight. A gasp escaped my lips at the sensation and my hands reached out and grabbed his head.
As soon as my hands made contact with him a small growl erupted from him before he pressed his lips against mine again and I did the same. Gripping his hair tightly I opened my mouth to deepen the kiss, moaning slightly when he pushed his tongue inside.
His hand that was cupping my chin began to roam further down and instead of stopping him I arched my back to give him better access to my chest. He pulled away and I groaned in frustration. He chuckled slightly and lifted me higher. "Wrap your legs around me."
I did as he asked, wrapping my legs around his waist and grinding my body against his. The friction sent shockwaves through my body and I let out a moan.
"What do you want me to do to you?" The Alpha asked as he began placing kisses over my neck.
"Hmm." I whispered as I revelled in the sensation I was getting. I didn't care about what he was saying, I just wanted him to continue.
"Do you want me to f*ck you?"
