Chris got to the city and ran on the bridge with the Chaos Emerald.
Chris: I've got to get this Emerald to Knuckles somehow. But how can I?
He looked up and saw a helicopter fly over him.
Chris: I know. We'll use the X-Tornado.
He started running again.
At the Thorndyke residence.
They were watching the news.
Scarlet: Good afternoon, this is Scarlet Garcia reporting to you live from inside the SSTV newscopter. Citizens of Station Square are breathing a collective sigh of relief today after narrowly avoiding a surprise attack by the notorious Dr. Eggman. Yesterday, residence were thrown into a state of panic when Dr. Eggman and a missile into the center of the city. A missile housing a ticking time bomb that threatened to explode at any moment.
Cream: Aren't they going to show Tails or Y/n?
Cheese: Chao.
Y/n: I really don't care.
Cream: But everyone needs to know how great you are.
Chuck: Pay attention.
Scarlet: The situation seemed hopeless as tension mounted and terror spread throughout the city. However, thanks to the quick thinking of Mr. Miles Prower, known to his friends as Tails, and the help of our hero, Y/n the Hedgehog, the danger was ultimately averted and calm was restored. City officials have announced plans to honor Mr. Prower and Mr. Hedgehog for their outstanding bravery.
Chuck: I didn't know your real name was Miles, Tails.
Tails: I like Tails better.
Mr. Tanaka: I agree. "Tails" is much more colorful.
Y/n: And it suits him a lot better than Miles.
Tails: Thanks, you two.
Ella looked out the window.
Ella: Are all these strange people outside here to see Tails and Y/n?
Chuck: Maybe you might want to lay low with us for awhile, guys, and catch up with your rest?
Cream: Yeah, we haven't seen you in a long time, Tails. And I really think you need rest too, Y/n.
Tails: I can't stay, Cream. I'm supposed to look for the X-Tornado today!
Y/n: Do we even know if it's still flyable? Big sat in there, what if he broke it?
Tails: We got to at least try.
Y/n: Well, even if we weren't looking for the X-Tornado, we still have a Chaos Emerald to find.
Chuck: I know! Just leave it to me, Tails, I've got the perfect idea!
At the gate, Ella walked out with a stroller.
Ella: Hello!
The ground was a bit disappointed.
Ella: Pardon me. Time to walk the little one!
Random guy: Hey, lady, you sure you're not hidin' Tails in that thing?
She gasped.
Random guy 2: I think you're pullin' a fast one!
Random guy: We demand to see what you've got in there!
Crowd: Show us, show us, show us, show us!
Ella: Well, all right, I will show you, but she's very shy.
Crowd: She?
They looked inside and saw Cream inside with a pacifier and Cheese acting like a stuffed toy.
Ella: Isn't she an adorable little pumpkin pie? She looks just like her daddy. But I say she has my eyes.
Ella continued walking with the stroller and then she walked into an alleyway.
Ella: Come on out, Tails, the coast is clear!
Tails came out of Ella's dress.
Tails: That was pretty close, Ella, but we fooled 'em. Tails: You make a perfect baby, Cream!
Cream: Thank you, Tails.
Y/n ran to them.
Y/n: Glad me and Chuck's plan worked.
Tails: What was your part in it again?
Y/n: You guys were my distraction from the front while I snuck out the back.
Cream: Why didn't you let Mr. Tanaka be the baby?
Y/n: Because he would've made a fugly baby.
Cream: I don't even think I should ask what that means.
Y/n: Smart girl. Now, this is where we split up. Me and Tails will go solo to find what we want. Cream, you go back with Ella to the house in case anything comes up.
They all nodded and they split up.
Later.
Y/n was running through the forest of Mystic Ruin until he ran into Sonic.
Y/n: Fancy meeting you here, Faker.
Sonic: I could say the same, my good man.
They both saw the same red sphere Knuckles saw.
Y/n: What the hell was that?
Sonic: Let's follow it and find out.
Y/n: Okay, but be cautious.
They followed the sphere into a temple and made them go behind a waterfall caused by a stone dragon head.
Y/n: I feel a high spiritual energy here.
Sonic: How so?
Y/n: I can't describe it, but something here reminds me of my day's training at the Chao Shrine.
They continued following the sphere which lead them to a stone drawing of a giant monster.
Sonic: What's this? A sea monster?
Y/n put his hand on it.
Y/n: Judging by the carvings, it's had to have been around for at least a century.
Sonic: Kinda creepy.
They heard Tikal's voice.
Tikal: When anger and sadness overflow like a mighty ocean, beware the great calamity.
Sonic: Is there someone there? Come on, we won't hurt ya.
Y/n: Not severally anyway.
It suddenly got really bright and the two hedgehogs found themselves in Mystic Ruin which was on fire.
Sonic: Hey! What's goin' on? Where are we?
Y/n: It seems like Mystic Ruins, what it isn't really at its brightest hour.
They looked up and saw Tikal and Storm at the Altar with some unconscious Chao.
Tikal: It's awful. How could Father do something so terrible?
Grumbling was heard.
Tikal: No! I must stop them!
Storm: You won't be alone!
It got bright again and both Sonic and Y/n found themselves outside the temple at dusk.
Sonic: What did we just see? It couldn't have been a dream.
Y/n: Whatever it was, we can't just brush it off. I'm going to continue searching for Chaos Emeralds, you do what you want.
He ran from Sonic and he suddenly ended up back at the burning Mystic Ruin.
Y/n: This again?
He looked up at the Altar and found Tikal and Storm.
Tikal: In order to stop this thread, I need to be sealed away with it.
Storm: I'll pull my weight too. I will reincarnate and if it ever brakes free, one of my reincarnations will hopefully be there to stop it.
He ended up back where he stopped.
Y/n: These images, they have to mean something.
Sonic ran by Y/n and he ran after Sonic.
Y/n: What's going on.
Sonic: Eggman's going on.
Y/n: That fat ass Robotnik survived? What a shame.
They followed Eggman who flew into a stone wall with a door.
Sonic: Time to pay a little visit.
Y/n: Let's make it quick.
They Spindashed through the door and an alarm activated which caused lasers to shoot at them, but they easily blocked or evaded them. The floor then turned into rolling pins which kept Sonic and Y/n from running and a gaint ball went to them which they repelled with Spindash and used it as a boost to blast out of there.
Sonic: Oh, well, guess we're just too fast for ya!
Y/n: We mustn't let our guard down.
They made a sharp turn at a corner where Bokkun scared Sonic.
Bokkun: Ha! I scared ya. I scared ya. I scared ya!
Sonic: You'd scare anybody, Bokkun.
Bokkun: I've got another super important Message from Dr. Eggman himself. You better pay attention if you know what's good for ya!
Bokkun took out a TV and Eggman played on it.
Eggman: All right, Sonic and Y/n. The time has come for me to settle my score with you both, once and for all. I think we need to have a man-to-hedgehog chat in the lower chamber.
Y/n grabbed the TV and smash it on the ground with his foot.
Bokkun: What the-
Y/n grabbed Bokkun by the throat.
Y/n: You better guide us to Robotnik if you know what's good for you.
He let go of Bokkun and both Y/n and Sonic followed him into a room where Eggman was sitting on a gaint red robot with spikes on its shoulders.
Sonic: This better not be another trick, Eggman.
Eggman: I'm through with tricks for today! Now listen well, hedgehogs, because I've had just about enough of you. I have been trying to establish my eggsquisitely evil empire, but you too have been nothing but thorns in my side! Every brilliant plan I've put into action has been systematically stymied by you two and your kindergarten cohorts! I mean, one of you was bad enough, but than another one had to come along. You two have wrecked my wretched plans far too often! But neither of you will get in my way again. Do you hear me?
Sonic: You're threats aren't gonna scare me off, Eggman!
Y/n: Neither will they scare me. I've used every threat in the book, but you look like you ate every threat in the book.
Sonic: You really think you can get rid of us?
Eggman: I don't think I can. I know I can!
His robot rose up and started to shoot lasers at them which Sonic dodged and Y/n blocked.
Eggman: You seem a bit jumpy, Sonic. What's wrong? Can't take the heat.
Sonic: I can take whatever you dish out!
Sonic hit the robot with Spindash which made its escape through the top.
Sonic: Coward! What's the matter? Had enough?
Y/n: We shouldn't let our guard down, Sonic.
Eggman's robot came from beneath and then trapped Sonic under its tail.
Eggman: Nothing like a good game of squash!
Y/n cut the tail off.
Y/n: Now, Sonic!
They hit the robot with a pincer Spindash and that completely destroyed it, but Eggman was able to escape.
Eggman: You will pay for this, Sonic and Y/n! Mark my words! You'll pay.
The place start to collapse and catch fire.
Sonic: Man! We got to get outta this place, and fast.
Y/n: That sounds like a challenge.
Sonic: If you say so.
The both got in a Spindash position.
Sonic: On your mark...
Y/n: Get set...
Y/n/Sonic: Go!
They both rolled into their Spindashes and they got out before the base before it exploded with Y/n hitting the ground a split second before Sonic.
Y/n: Looks like I win this one.
Sonic: I guess.
They fist-bumped and went their separate ways.
With Amy and Lily.
They were walking near the harbor.
Amy: Your brother and sister must still be on the Egg Carrier. There's gotta be something we can do.
Amy sat down in front of a barrel and that's when Y/n showed up.
Y/n: What's the matter with you?
Amy: Ugh, of all the people... (sigh) I'm trying to find Lily's family, but I think they're still in the Egg Carrier.
Y/n: But that thing crashed, so her family is most likely dead.
Lily started to cry.
Amy: Wow, way to keep things positive, Y/n.
Froggy jumped in front of her, and Big talk out of sight which made it look like Froggy was talking.
Big: Egg Carrier? What's that? I never heard of it!
Amy: That's where Dr. Eggman's hiding Lily's family.
Big: Oh, yeah!
Amy gasped as she released that she was "talking" to a frog.
Big: You mean, up in the sky, where they took Froggy? Sure I know that place!
Amy: Uh, did you just say something?
Y/n: That Frog's mouth isn't even moving, how would it talk?
Big: No! Froggy doesn't talk! That was me!
She finally saw Big.
Big: Hi, little girl! Hey, Y/n
Amy: Who are you?
Big: My name's Big, 'cause I'm big. And this little fella's name is Froggy, 'cause he's a frog. He's my pal!
Amy: Nice to meet you, Big! I'm Amy! And I take it you've met this jerk before.
Y/n: Yeah, I helped save Froggy.
Big: Hey, Amy and Y/n, is that the Egg Carrier over there?
He pointed at the Egg Carrier that was floating in the ocean.
Y/n: How the hell did it survive the crash?
Amy: I don't know, but Lily's brother and sister could be in there.
Y/n: Well, I'll met you there.
He ran across the water, leaned against the Egg Carrier, crossing his arms.
Amy: I wish I could just do that. Looks like I need to find a boat.
A little while later.
Amy was on a small row boat and rowed to the Egg Carrier.
Amy: Don't worry, we'll get your brother and sister out in no time, Lily.
They saw Y/n.
Y/n: About time you got here.
Amy: You. What could this ship have that you want, anyway?
Y/n: I'm thinking that there might be a Chaos Emerald in here that Robotnik was planning to feed Chaos at some point.
Amy: Don't you think if Eggman had a Chaos Emerald in there, he would've took it with him when the ship crashed?
Y/n: Maybe, but it's at least worth the check.
They got inside.
Y/n: Search wherever you want, and call me if you come across an Emerald.
He ran off.
Amy: Well, bye to you too.
She started walking down the main hall with Lily on her shoulder.
Amy: Who knows, Lily, maybe the nice robot freed them just like he freed us. I bet they're flying around looking for you right now. But we'll find them, no matter what. Let's just hope that jerk doesn't mess with us.
With Y/n.
Y/n: I've already searched three rooms. This ship is so big, as long as it doesn't glow bright, hiding an Emerald here could be as easy as eating a piece of pie. Well, best I keep searching.
He went back on the run.
Back with Amy and Lily.
Amy: This place is so big. I don't know where to start looking.
Lily looked down.
Amy: Oh, don't be discouraged, Lily! We won't give up, no matter how big this old ship it, will we?
They came across a pile of ruble where the green robot who kidnapped them along with Decoe and Bocoe came out of it.
Decoe: Where are we, Bocoe?
Bocoe: I don't know, but I think I've got a dent in my database.
Decoe: Am I malfunctioning or are we back in the middle of the Egg Carrier?
Bocoe: I think it is the Egg Carrier!
Decoe: But how is that possible, Bocoe?
Bocoe: Simple! You see, the Egg Carrier emits a very strong magnetic current. That current, when combined with the laws of gravity, can become- (finally noticed Amy) Oh, boy! Is that who I think it is?
Bocoe/Decoe: It's Amy!
Decoe: Quick! Grab them before they get away again!
Amy ran from them.
Amy: Oh! Hold on tight, Lily!
Decoe and Bocoe started chasing them.
Bocoe/Decoe: Come back here, you!
Amy ran into a room and shut the door which Decoe started banging on.
Decoe: Open this door! You're not allowed in there!
Amy: What's this place?
Back with Y/n.
He kept running until he saw Gamma.
Y/n: Oh, hey it's you.
Gamma: Affirmative. My name is Gamma.
Y/n: I'm Y/n. What are you doing here?
Gamma: I am looking for my friend.
Y/n: Is he a robot by chance?
Gamma: Affirmative.
Y/n: Well, if he's willing to change like you did, I guess I'll help you.
Gamma: Than that makes you a friend.
Y/n: I guess it does. What does your friend look like?
They stopped in front of a giant table where a big robot was.
Gamma: Zeta!
Y/n: I'm guessing that's your friend.
Gamma: Correct.
Back with Amy and Lily.
Amy was looking through the computers the room which had the robots designs on it and what was powering them.
Amy: Ah! Look, Lily! They're in the robots! Quick! Let's get out of here!
As soon as she opened the door, Decoe and Bocoe fell in the room, but the kidnapper robot was still in the way.
Amy: Don't even think about it, mister!
Amy hit it with her hammer and it knocked the robot over so Amy could escape.
Back with Y/n and Gamma.
Gamma shutdown Zeta's power.
Gamma: Zeta data erased. Shutdown complete.
Y/n: So, you erased any data he had.
Gamma: Yes, I had to get rid of Dr. Eggman in his database.
Suddenly, a black one eyed robot came from the ceiling which made a crashing sound that Amy and Lily heard.
Amy: What do you suppose that awful crashing sound was?
Lily just chirped.
Gamma: Beta!
Y/n: Is that another one of your friends?
Beta shot a laser at them which they avoided.
Y/n: He sure doesn't seem friendly.
They kept dodging the lasers.
Gamma: Stop, Beta! Eggman, bad master! Destroy friends! Eggman enemy!
Beta: Gamma not master. Eggman master. All enemies must be eliminated!
Y/n: We're gonna have to fight back, Gemma.
Gamma: I agree.
They started to fight back against Beta but they weren't trying to beat him.
Gamma: Beta! Mustn't shoot! Gamma and Y/n friend!
Y/n: Listen to your friend and stop this nonsense.
Beta: Gamma and Y/n not master. Eggman master. All enemies must be eliminated!
Y/n: You already said that.
Amy finally got there and witnessed the chaos.
Amy: Wait. Be careful.
Beta and Gamma struck each other in the chest and while Gamma was still standing Beta fell and exploded and a gray bird that looked like Lily came from the flames.
Gamma: Free now.
Y/n: There was a flicky in that robot?
Gamma: Correct. (distorted voice) Gamma mission accomplished.
Gamma fell down and exploded.
Amy: Oh, no!
A pink flicky came out of Gamma and that flicky flew to the gray one and Lily flew to both of them while Amy and Y/n walked to Gamma's remains.
Amy: You've done so much for Lily and me. Oh, Mr. Robot. I'll never forget you.
Y/n: His name was actually Gamma. But I won't forget him either. Perhaps, it was the right choice to keep him alive.
Lily and her brother and sister flew out into the sky.
Y/n: Well, I didn't find a Chaos Emerald here. Maybe I'll go home and rest a bit before I look again.
Amy: I didn't ask.
Y/n: See you later, you obsessive, manipulative bitch.
He ran out of there.
Amy: (sigh) Probably should have asked for a ride.
With Sonic.
Sonic was laying on the ground when he heard Tails' voice.
Tails: Hey, Sonic!
Sonic: Huh?
He saw Tails running towards him.
Tails: What's up?
Sonic: Hey, Tails, glad to see you're okay!
Tails: Yeah, Amy and Cream are okay, too!
The sky suddenly got covered by clouds.
Tails: Must be a storm coming.
Y/n and Knuckles were walking/running when they saw lightning strike in the distance where Eggman was.
Eggman: Blast Y/n and Sonic! I've got to find some way to get rid of those furry freaks forever.
As he continued hovering Chaos showed up in front of him.
Eggman: Chaos!
