Niall was swimming at the hotel pool totally forgetting about the marks on his back from the night before.
He was taking a break, getting a drink because he tired himself out when fans flocked him. Niall was used to this and took pictures with every fan who approached him.
However, he was oblivious to the fact that there was a fan behind him taking as picture of his scratched up back.
You were sitting in the hotel room, scrolling through Twitter when you saw the picture of his back pop up everywhere.
"Oh shit," you said.
Niall was just walking in the door, his hair damp from the pool. "Hello, beautiful."
"Hey, Niall," you bit your lip, worried. "Uh,, did you forget about last night?"
"Mmm, no. How could I forget 'bout tat? 'M sure next door still remembers too 'cause of how loud ya were," he winked at you.
"Well, you must have forgotten about the marks on your back," you turned your phone towards him and showed him the picture. "It's all over Twitter."
"Ah, shit," Niall laughed, taking your phone.

The next morning you and Niall were heading out to multiple places for interviews. You were walking hand-in-hand, until it was time for the interview, then you had to separate.
The interview was going smoothly. You were watching from backstage, smiling. Then, it took a turn.
"So, this photo of you the other day has surfaced on Twitter," the reporter showed him the same picture you showed him last night. "And the fan were wondering, what exactly, happened that caused you to get those marks?"
Niall laughed his hearty laugh. The reporter just looked at him, sternly. "Oh, yer serious?" Niall asked.
The reporter nodded her head. Niall looked over at you with a smirk and you were chuckling back.
"Uh, well, I got a little too into something over da weekend and wound up being scratched," he shrugged.
A little too into something, yeah you. You couldn't help but snicker at his word choice.
"Really? What was it?" the reporter asked.
"Uh," Niall cleared his throat, crossing his legs, and looking down at the ground. "There was a cat and I wouldn't leave it alone and uh she dug her nails in."
That was such a lame excuse and he knew it. You bit your lip backstage, trying not to laugh.
"On your back?" the reporter wondered.
"Yea," Niall's cheeks turned red.
"Oook," the reporter nodded, moving on to the next question.
When the interview was finished he came backstage to meet up with you again, hugging you tightly.
"That was some excuse you gave there," you smirked.
"Well, I couldn't say I was fucking my wife so good she dug her nails into me back, now could I?"
"I wouldn't of cared," you shrugged.
Niall just chuckled and shook his head. "Good ta know fer next time."
