Mike rubbed his eye as he walked into the living room, carrying a blanket. He looked around the room.
Where's my boyfriend?
Where's my boyfriend?
I'd like to find my-
Mike's eyes lit up. Boyfriend!
Elmer sat crisscross on the counter, looking out of the window.
An open window.
Mike's eyebrows furrowed. "El... what are you doing?" he asked as he walked over to him. "It's below freezing and it's 5am."
Elmer didn't look over at him. "I wanted to see the snow," he mumbled innocently, staring out of the window.
Mike smiled slightly. He sat down next to Elmer on the counter and draped the blanket over his shoulders. "El..." he chuckled weakly. "You're shivering."
Elmer finally looked over at him, his button nose red and his cheeks flushed. He smiled brightly. "I know, but I like to see the snow."
Mike smiled. He looked out of the window and at the snow. "Well... we can go outside and play in the snow, if you want," he offered.
Sure, Mike didn't really like snow, but Elmer loved it, and Mike would do anything to make the younger boy happy.
Besides, it meant that he'd get cuddles when they went inside.
Elmer looked over at him, his eyes bright. "Really?" he asked excitedly. "But you don't like snow! And it's 5am," he reminded him.
Mike chuckled, lacing their fingers together. "I don't hate snow, and the only thing I want in return is cuddles," he whispered fondly, resting his head on Elmer's shoulder. "I love seeing you happy."
Elmer blushed. He grinned as he looked at their intwined hands. "I love you."
Mike smiled. "I love you too." He pressed a gentle kiss to Elmer's lips.
Elmer blushed and leaned into the kiss, closing his eyes.
They pulled away after a minute.
"Now," Mike mumbled against Elmer's lips, "go get snow stuff on or we can't go outside."
Elmer beamed and got up, leaving Mike and the blanket.
Mike watched him with fond eyes as he skipped to their room. He looked out the window.
Man, I'm so in love with this boy.
Outside
A few minutes later
Mike stepped outside with Elmer.
Elmer was literally shaking in excitement.
Mike chuckled.
Elmer ran outside and grabbed a bunch of snow. He looked back at Mike with a grin-smirk mix.
Mike shot him a look. "Don't you dare." He put his hands up to protect himself.
Elmer giggled, mischief shining in his brown eyes. "I think I dare."
Mike quickly ducked when Elmer threw snow at him. He gasped in astonishment. "Elmer Kasprzak!"
Elmer giggled, quickly grabbing another handful of snow and packing it into a ball.
Seeing no way to protect himself or get out of this other than to join, Mike quickly bent down and grabbed some snow as well.
Mike was in the middle of getting his snow into a ball when something cold hit his head. He gasped, looking up in betrayal at his boyfriend. "Elmer!"
Elmer started laughing.
Mike quickly finished his snowball and threw it at Elmer.
Elmer gasped when it hit him, before quickly bursting back into giggles.
Mike laughed with him.
Elmer started walking over to Mike, when he fell backwards.
Mike's eyes widened and he quickly started walking over to Elmer. His nerves calmed down when he heard Elmer laughing, and he struggled to get a laugh out. "What happened, El?" he asked.
Elmer giggled, moving his arms and legs. "I fell," he answered.
Mike chuckled, stopping in front of him. He stared down at him. "I can see."
Elmer kept giggling. "And now I'm making a snow Angel," he explained.
Mike chuckled, crossing his arms to keep himself warm. "Have fun with that."
After a few minutes, Elmer finished making his snow Angel. He held out his hands.
Mike pulled Elmer up and into his arms, holding him against his chest as they admired his snow Angel.
Elmer giggled, his cheeks a bit red and not just from the cold. "I think I did a pretty nice job, if I do say so myself," he said.
Mike chuckled. "I agree."
Elmer laughed and pulled away from Mike. He bounced - sort of bounced, more like. He very much tried, but it was less of a bounce due to the snow and his snow clothes - over to the railing that lead to their apartment building.
Mike watched him with fond eyes.
Elmer leaned down a bit and licked snow off of the railing.
"Ew!" Mike cringed as he made his way over to Elmer. "That's gross, El." He chuckled as he pulled him away from the railing.
Elmer laughed. "But it tastes good!" he responded, trying to pull out of Mike's arms.
Mike chuckled, holding Elmer close to his chest. "I'm sure it does, but that railing hasn't been washed in forever," he reminded him.
Not really caring about that fact, Elmer shrugged.
Mike chuckled. He looked up at the sky. "Why don't we watch the sunrise together?" he suggested, knowing they both liked to do that.
Elmer nodded happily. He looked up at Mike with a grin. "Can we sit in the snow and watch it?" he asked excitedly.
Mike chuckled. "Sure." He sat down and pulled Elmer into his lap, chuckling at the younger one's yelp and blush. He leaned against the only tree in the front yard and held Elmer close.
Elmer smiled and leaned against him.
Together, they sat there and watched the sunrise.
Elmer occasionally picked up snow and blew it in front of them or tossed it into the air like Elsa, but Mike could see that he was slowly getting tired.
When the sun had finally risen, both boys realized they were far too tired to stay outside with the bright sun shining on the snow and lighting it up and they were freezing.
Finally, Mike decided they should go inside. "Why don't we go cuddle?" he suggested.
"One minute." Elmer leaned behind Mike and pulled lightly on one of the tree branches so he didn't hurt the tree.
Snow fell on top of them as if it had been snowing.
Elmer smiled brightly. He looked back at Mike. "Now, we can go inside," he declared.
Mike chuckled. He got up and helped Elmer get up, noticing that the younger was shivering. "Are you cold?"
"Me? Nope."
"You sure? You're shivering."
"Nope. I'm like Elsa; the cold doesn't bother me. I'm purely shaking with excitement."
Mike chuckled. "Excitement about what?" he asked curiously as he lead Elmer up the steps.
"Cuddles," Elmer answered simply.
Mike chuckled again. "Mhm... I think you're just cold," he responded knowingly.
Elmer shook his head.
A few minutes later
Mike stood in the kitchen, making hot chocolate for himself and Elmer, when he heard something. He turned around.
Elmer, who had changed into warm clothes (Mike's warm clothes, to be exact), walked into the kitchen with his favorite blanket - a Cinderella blanket - wrapped around his shoulders and body.
Mike chuckled. "Better?"
Elmer nodded, comfy. He stopped in front of Mike.
Mike wrapped his arms around Elmer.
Elmer hummed in contentment.
Mike sneakily snuck his hands under Elmer's shirt.
Elmer yelped. "Hey! Your hands are freezing!" he whined, pushing Mike's hands away from him.
Mike chuckled, holding Elmer close. "Yeah, they need your hands to warm them up," he responded, a hum escaping his lips.
Elmer shook his head stubbornly. "No, no. Get your colds hands away from me until they're warm," he grumbled.
Mike chuckled. He pulled away and grabbed the hot chocolate.
Elmer's eyes lit up. "Hot chocolate!" He pulled his blanket closer to himself.
Mike chuckled. "Yeah, let's drink this and then go cuddle," he decided.
Elmer nodded. He walked over to the kitchen table and sat down.
Mike followed him. He set down one hot chocolate mug at his spot and the other in front of Elmer, before sitting down as well.
Elmer picked up his hot chocolate mug with both hands and took a sip. A soft noise of contentment escaped his lips. "I really love you... you know that, right?" he mumbled softly, sounding almost tired.
Mike smiled, looking at him. "Yeah. I know that," he answered. "You know I love you too, right?"
With his cheeks dusted with blush, Elmer smiled up at Mike. "Yeah."
Mike smiled.
Elmer blushed when he looked at Mike's smile, trying to hold back a grin as he looked back down at the hot chocolate mug in his two hands.
The two boys sat in silence for a bit, occasionally exchanging a few words.
All they really needed was to be together.
The silence was comfortable because they both loved each other and knew it. Besides, they were both pretty tired.
After a bit, they finished their hot chocolate.
Elmer got up first and took the two mugs. He left his blanket on the chair he had been sitting in and went to put the mugs in the sink.
Elmer hadn't even heard Mike get up. He just felt Mike wrap a blanket and his arms around him as soon as Elmer put the mugs down.
Mike held him close. "Why don't we go lay down?" he mumbled, blinking a few times to try and stay awake.
Elmer nodded.
Mike lead Elmer to the bedroom, almost instantly pulling him down on the bed when they got there.
It was just less than quarter to 7am.
Elmer cuddled close to Mike, resting his head against Mike's chest.
Mike held Elmer close.
Elmer was cuddled in his Cinderella blanket in Mike's arms and the other blankets they had on their bed covered both boys.
Elmer was out within three minutes.
Mike smiled when he noticed, his eyes closed.
I really, really love this boy.
And with that thought, Mike fell asleep too.

P.S. Someone give me an Elmer ship because I have a cute idea with picnics in the park and I want Elmer to have a pretty, yellow dress on, but I don't know who to ship him with lol.
