It was Saturday today and you wanted to learn how to cook because next week, the team of your best friend is going to play against Kirisaki Dai Ichi. You were not really good at cooking but you could still cook something. You decided that you will cook a special bento with honey soaked lemons as dessert.
"Man, I really suck at cooking but who will I ask to teach me how to? Mom's not here even Mitobe is out training with the team. Hmm. Ah! I know! How about auntie?"
You quickly dialed your auntie's number. Once you heard her voice, you quickly asked if she could teach you how to cook properly.
"I see. But I'm very strict when it comes to cooking (First name)."
"I can manage it auntie. Please!"
"Got it. Come here at 10 in the morning later."
"Really!? Thank you so much auntie!"
With that, you dropped the call and looked at the clock in your night stand. It was already past 8 so you quickly took a bath, clothed and brought the necessary things you will need. The ride was not that long so you made it there on time. You knocked on your auntie's house and she opened it. You were greeted with a tight bear hug from her.
"Auntie! I...can't....breathe!"
"Ah! Sorry! I got so excited!"
"Anyways, thank you so much auntie for allowing me to be your student. This really means a lot."
"(First name). Okay! Come on and let's start. Let's waste no more time especially that it's for your crush." She gave out a creepy laugh which made you sweat-drop. That soon changed when you realized her words.
"Eh!? H-How did y-you know?"
"I just know! Come on, let's go now. Your cousins are not here so there is no one to bother us here!"
After that, you entered the house and went to the kitchen. You told her that you already had a background with everything. The only problem was with the tasting since you were not really used with such things. As strict as she was, she asked you to make a curry so you started all by cutting the vegetables and the meat thoroughly. It was even and all but when you came to the cooking itself, something went wrong. Either you have put more than enough curry powder or that the water was too much that it became bland. Your auntie pointed out all of your mistakes, then you remade it again. The outcome was good enough, again, she gave you enough tips to make a perfect bento like how to make the right side dish, the perfect technique to slice and cook and timings to every thing you fry. After that, you successfully cooked a lot of main dish. Next was dessert. The hard part since you haven't make even one after the incident in your school (A/N: If you know how, just pretend! Heehe~) You were asked to make a thousand milieu.
"What is that?"
"What!? You haven't seen one? This is what it looks like."
She showed you a picture of what seemed like a pancake but much thinner compared to it. It looked difficult but you were eager to learn so you did. She also taught you some other easy-to-make sweets. You were able to make a strawberry short cake, milieu, cream custard and croissant. It was fun and you had a great time. It was now time to go so you thanked your auntie for everything.
"Thank you auntie! You really helped me out there. I just hope that he will like it."
"Ho~ so it really is for a boy!? Kyaah!My baby girl is growing up!"
"I'll see you then auntie!"
Game Match
You were in the stands watching the game play. You were really worried because of how the Kirisaki Dai Ichi played with them. What scared you the most was, Hyuuga was almost beaten by Hanamiya if it wasn't for Teppei. Teppei was also there, bruised badly. After the time-out and substitution, you went to Teppei and asked if he's alright. He said that it was nothing and it worried you since he was like a brother figure to you. You were also worried about Hyuuga and when you looked at him, he had a scary face. You knew that it will not help him so you pinched his cheek. Hard.
"Loosen up Hyuuga. Teppei will be alright. Just play the same way you do okay?"
"I'm so frustrated right now (first name). Teppei was—"
"Teppei-nii is strong so you also should! Do it for him but you need to loosen up! Your shots are not getting any better!"
"How can I!? He said that this will be his last and—"
"I know but you have to. I'll be cheering for you on the sidelines. Go for it."
With that he left you, tears threatened to spill but you had to stay strong and support your best friend. The match went on and Teppei was on court again but at the last quarter, he was pulled out by Riko. You know why and what will happen if they sub him out but you know that Teppei was isn't that kind of person. You only hoped that this time, Hyuuga will make a miracle shot. Finally! He had done it and you were jumping for joy! Seirin won and you quickly went to their locker room since the others left already, only to hear things.
"Hyuuga? I..." Riko started.
"What is it Riko?"
"I like you!"
"Hah!? What!?"
"I said it alright!? I like you."
A stinging pain evaded in your heart. You didn't want to hear this so you walked out slowly then sprinted out of the arena. You saw the team but you only ran past them. They saw your tears but they didn't want to intrude at the moment. They didn't know what happened and when Teppei tried to reach for you, he just slipped while you continued to run not minding any other people.
Hyuuga's POV
I was shocked with Riko's confession but now was not the time. I really can't return her feelings since I don't like her that way and somebody has already stolen my heart.
"Sorry Riko but—"
"It's (Last name) right?"
"Yeah. Sorry but I really can't return your feelings plus it's not yet the right time."
"I know."
"Sorry, Riko.I know that somebody is there waiting only."
"Somebody?"
"Yeah. Come on, let's go. Everybody's waiting for us."
Once I saw them, they looked confused about something and they seemed to be looking from far away.
"What's up guys? What are you staring out there?"
"Eh? Hyuuga-senpai? (Last name)-san was running and it seems like she was crying." Kuroko answered.
"I wonder what happened to chibi-chan?" Kagami asked.
I was confused as to what happened then I remembered her bringing something. A bento? Wait. She must have heard our conversation and didn't finished it. 'Ugh! I gotta go to her before something else happens!'
"Coach I'm going to search for her. Proceed to the next match. I'll be watching it later."
"Okay just come before the game starts."
"Okay."
I looked all over the arena for (First name) but I can't seem to find her. Just then, I saw a (hair color) sitting under a tree curled up. It was (First name).
"(First name)?"
"Hyuuga."
"I told you to call me Junpei right?"
"Hmm."
"(First name). What are you doing here crying to yourself?"
"Shouldn't you be with Riko? She'll despise you for this."
"Huh?"
"Isn't she your girlfriend already?"
"Huh?"
"Quit the stupid act!"
"Don't worry about it (First name). She was not. You're mistaken. How can I if the one I love is in front of me?"
"Eh?"
"N-Not that I-I'm being cheesy okay?"
"You look so cute, Hyuuga."
"Hey! Don't make fun of me but (First name)? Will you be mine?"
"Yes, Hyuuga Junpei.
"Yes!"
"Hahaha! Here. I brought you some lunch and don't worry, I improved already."
I ate her lunch and surprisingly, she really did improve. After that, I ate her sweets which was chocolate coated bananas. It tastes so good. Man, she will be a great wife. 'My wife.' I flushed at the thought.
"Are you alright, Hyuuga?"
"I told you to call me Junpei right? And yes I am."
"Hmm. If you say so, Junpei."
I noticed that she ate the last banana so I did the unexpected. I kissed her while biting down the banana. I moved away and looked at her cute flustered face.
"Hey! Why did you do that!?"
"Hmm? You have the last banana so I ate it. Is there something wrong?"
"You could have just asked me for some more!"
"You have?"
"Yeah."
"Nah. I would rather eat it from you. You taste sweet (First name)."
2nd POV
You flushed at that. Then suddenly, he kissed you and you returned it. You couldn't believe yourself that your childhood friend is now your boyfriend! And with that, you were left to that dream world.
