Y/N's POV
A few months have past and it's now mid June. Rosie and I are going to get married in 2 months and we've really ramped up all the planning. We honestly have almost everything done, so we decided to send out the invitations to friends and family today.
I'm sealing the last of the few envelopes when I hear small footsteps approaching from behind me. I stopped and turned around to see Rosie with a sandwich for me. I smiled up at her and kissed her lips as she rounded the couch and sat down next to me. She took a bite of her sandwich and just watched me quietly as I continued my task at hand.
"How many more do you have?" She asks me with a mouthful of food. I glanced over at her,
"Well firstly, finish your food before speaking love," she rolled her eyes at me, "and this is the last one actually." I said proudly as I wrote Jennie on the envelope.
"I want Lisa's because I'll go over their house and give it to her myself. I want to ask her to be my maid of honor." Rosie told me. I smiled at her as I was thinking about doing the same thing with Jennie. She's been by my side since like 3rd grade and I think she's earned the right to be my maid of honor.
"Okay, how about we go to the post office soon and mail all of the other ones out to everyone, then I can drive you over to their house. You can go inside and tell Jennie to come with me. I'll take her back here and tell her the news."
"You're so smart." She told me with a loving smile. I really don't think I am, but I'll take the compliment to boost my ego.
"Do you want to bring Hank over so he can play with Kuma and Kai?" I asked my fiancée as she opened a small bag of chips.
"That's a great idea!" Rosie cheerfully said. I laughed at her and started to eat my lunch since I was done with my little job. Rosie stole some bites from my sandwich and also some of my fruit. I allowed it, but shot her a few glares here and there, which she didn't give a shit about.
12pm rolled around and we decided to get our day started. I hopped in the shower and Rosie joined quickly after she heard the water running. After that, we both got changed into some nice summer clothes and Hank was all curious as to where we were going. He tilted his head and got super excited when Rosie grabbed his leash. He barked happily and she laughed as she leaned down to put his leash on. I smacked her ass and went to grab my keys while hearing her yell at me.
"Don't start something you can't finish!" Her voice echoed through our apartment after I smacked her ass. I snickered to myself as she was probably a little turned on at the action. My horny fiancée. I walked out to see an unamused look on her face, to which I just rolled my eyes at.
"How about tonight I fuck you under the stars on the rooftop, hm?" I asked her as I grabbed her hand lightly as I walked towards the door. I felt a harsh tug on my hand as my body traveled backwards, stumbling over my feet a little. I felt hot breath tickle my neck,
"I'm holding you to that." Rosie whispered to me. I suppressed a shiver and just nodded my head as we walked out of our apartment. Hank was trotting beside us and he was happy about going somewhere with us once again.
We all got in the car and headed off to the Jenlisa residency. Rosie put on some Ariana Grande on our way there, so she was singing along to that happily and I was just listening to her voice. After about half an hour, we pulled into their driveway and Rosie gave me a parting kiss before getting out of the car. I waited a little bit before seeing my best friend walk out wearing all black and big black sunglasses. I rolled my eyes at her as she climbed in the passenger seat,
"It's summer, Grim Reaper." She flipped me off,
"And what about it?"
"Nothing, let's head back to my place." I told her as I reversed out of her driveway and drove back to Rosie and I's apartment. Jennie didn't question it at all and just blared music through my car speakers. I pulled into my parking spot after awhile and Jennie just got out and went to the elevator without question; it made me laugh a little.
"Alright Jennie, I have something for you." I told her as she went and sat down on the couch.
"Is it money?"
"Don't you already have enough of that?" I asked her as I grabbed the wedding invitation for her.
"Well yeah, but it's still nice to get money."
"Fair point, but no it's not money." I said as I plopped down next to her on the couch. She glanced down at the envelope and pointed,
"So it's a check instead," she said with a smirk. I just laughed at her and she joined in. I handed it to her and told her to open it. She looked a little hesitant, but I told her to suck it up and open the damn thing. She sighed and opened the envelope, raising an eyebrow at the navy blue paper. She pulled it out and gasped as she read it. I watched her eyes get a little watery and she placed it down on the coffee table before leaning over and giving me a hug.
"You're really getting married. And before me too." She said with a little sniffle and laugh as I hugged her back.
"Yup, and you need to get on that engagement thing already." I teased her. She hit back back and pulled away from the hug.
"That is all Lisa, she's the one that's going to propose to me." Jennie told me as she crossed her arms.
"Whatever, but I need to ask you something." I said as I shifted around on the couch to get more comfortable. She squinted her eyes at me,
"If you want me to pay for half of the wedding because you're broke, no."
"Jennie!" I shouted at her. She just broke out into laughter as I rolled my eyes at her.
"Sorry! I saw the opportunity to make you feel poor and took it." I pinched her arm and she recoiled in pain. I smirked at her before continuing,
"I wanted to ask you if you'll be my maid of honor for the wedding."
Jennie froze and just stared at me blankly. I sat there for a few seconds, waiting for a response, but got nothing. I just shook my head in amusement,
"I'll be in the kitchen getting a snack when you come back to your senses." I told her as I got up from the couch and walked over to the kitchen. But, as soon as I got there, I felt a weight slam into my back. Arms wrapped around me and a head rested on my back. I heard quiet sobs coming from my best friend and just stood there quietly so she could let it out. I patted her hands and she loosened her grip, allowing me to turn around and give her a proper hug back.
"It would be an honor to be your maid of honor at your wedding." She mumbled into my chest. I laughed softly and patted the back of her head lightly.
"Well I wouldn't want anyone else." I told her truthfully. She looked up at me with gleaming eyes,
"You can be the maid of honor at my wedding then."
"I'll hold you to it, pinky promise." I said as I lifted my pinky in front of her face. She happily wrapped hers around it and insisted that we watch 'Game of Thrones' as a celebration. I told her that would be fine and I'll just call Rosie real quick.
"Wait!" Jennie shouted at me, "Did Rosie ask Lisa to be her maid of honor?" I smiled at my best friend,
"Yes, so I'm going to check on everything while you pull up whatever season and episode you want." She then turned her attention back to the TV as I walked to our bedroom and made the call.
"Hey love, just wanted to check on how everything went." I said as she picked up the phone.
"Hi babe! And Lisa agreed to be my maid of honor. She had a breakdown and then hugged Leo for comfort." Rosie said while giggling.
"I wasn't expecting anything less from Manoban. And Jennie also cried happy tears. Now she's picking some GOT for us to watch since she loves it and I do too." I explained to my fiancée.
"That's nice. Lisa and I are talking bad about you two." She joked with me.
"Ah, so I have permission to tell Jennie about the time you went over their house and the–"
"NO! Did I say talking bad about you two before? Silly me, what I meant to say was we are talking... brands about you. Like the brands you guys like." She said with an awkward laugh.
"Yeah sure. I'm guess you two are fully playing with the tiny zoo." I said knowing that's exactly what they are doing because I can hear Lisa shouting 'Hankie' happily in the background.
"You caught us. Lisa wants to have lunch with me, so you can spend the afternoon with Miss Ruby Jane and then just text me whenever you want me back."
"What if I never want you back?" I asked her.
"Please, like you could live without me." Rosie scoffed.
"Is that a challenge?"
"No because contrary to popular belief, I can't live without you."
"Awe, love you too Rosie. Now go and tire out all the animals ya got there." I told her as I started to walk out of our bedroom.
"Okay, talk to you later! I love you!"
"Love you too, bye love!" I said as I hung up the phone to see Jennie hovering over an episode. The iconic Red Wedding of season 3. I smirked and jumped over the back of the couch as Jennie clicked play. We both engrossed ourselves in the show and didn't even realize that fucking 4 hours had gone by. I only realized because Jennie wanted some popcorn and I got up to see the time displayed on the microwave. It was basically 5pm and I quickly told Jennie and she got her phone out and gasped.
"I think we have to get back to our girls. What do you say about a rain check on watching GOT?"
"We can do that. Okay, I texted Lisa and she said we can come back now." I nodded my head and grabbed my keys as we flew out the door of the apartment. The car ride back there was fine, we were talking about GOT the whole time honestly. Rosie never really got into it that much, so when Jennie told me she started watching it awhile back, I was ecstatic.
"So where did we go to eat lunch?" Jennie asked me as we had to lie because we deadass didn't eat anything. We were too into the show, okay.
"We just doordashed some Panera, got it?" Jennie nodded her head and I pulled into the driveway. She got out of my car and walked inside to see Lisa and Rosie sitting on the couch watching 'Cupcake Wars'.
"Funny how the two girls who can't cook/bake are watching a show about that." I joked as they both turned around to see us. Kuma, Kai, and Hank were all practically passed out from playing probably the whole time. Rosie hopped up and made her way over to me, bringing me into a kiss.
"Hi babe." She said once she pulled away. I gave her one more peck before responding,
"Hello love. How was your day with Manoban?" I asked her as I grabbed her hand gently because I missed her.
"It was good. The dogs played until they fell over of tiredness. Lisa and I went out to eat for lunch and then we just came back here to watch some 'Cupcake Wars'. How was your day with Jennie?"
"It was nice. We doordashed some Panera and then watched your favorite show." I said with slight sarcasm. She rolled her eyes at me,
"You watched 'Game of Thrones' the whole time, didn't you."
"Yes ma'am."
"Of course you two did." She sighed out, "but I've had enough of Lisa today and I'd like to spend the rest of the day with my fiancée." Rosie said cutely.
"I think we can have that arranged," I told her before directing my voice to the other couple sat on the couch, "we are going to get going! Have a good rest of the day you two!" I shouted at them. They shouted a goodbye back to us and Rosie softly tugged at my arm. I smiled at her and we were out the door and in my car with Hank asleep in Rosie's arms.
"I can't wait to be yours." Rosie whispered to me, making sure not to wake up the dog.
"Well you are already mine," I joked with her, "but I can't wait to be yours either."
The drive home was pretty uneventful, but that was fine with me. When we got back to our apartment, Rosie placed Hank down on his bed and then came back over to me in the kitchen since I was looking for some ingredients for dinner. She wrapped her arms around my waist and kissed the side of my neck lovingly. I smiled at the feeling and turned my head so I could catch her lips in a kiss. She hummed softly and we made out a little before I decided to start making dinner for us.
Rosie sat up on the counter the whole time, whining when I wouldn't give her attention for an extended period of time. I was cutting up some pineapple and she kept stealing pieces from the bowl. I had to move the bowl to another countertop, but she moved too. I sighed as I knew she would just keep doing that.
Dinner took about an hour to make with an the cooking and preparing, but I was fine with that. I grabbed two plates for us and Rosie took her plate so she could fill it up herself. I didn't argue and let her because she obviously knows how much she's going to eat. We both sat down at the table and ate our food, talking about what would be happening in the upcoming days.
"IU wants me to start another project, so I'll be at work for a few days next week." I informed Rosie. She nodded her head,
"Okay, that's fine. I'll then take some time to maybe write a song or two. I want to get started on my next album asap, so that will be a good time to try and get some ideas."
"Can't wait to hear your voice again with another 10+ songs." I told her with a smile.
"I can't wait to write 10+ more songs with you as the inspiration." She said back with a wink. I playfully rolled my eyes at her and she just giggled.
Once we finished dinner, we cuddled on the couch for about two hours before someone became needy. I felt her lay wet kisses on my neck and she started to suck on my weak spot.
"Rosie," I groaned out. She paused her action and looked up at me with hooded eyes,
"Well, are you gonna keep that promise babe?" I looked at her questioningly before remembering what I said this morning. She seemed to noticed I remembered because she took her bottom lip between her teeth and stood up in front of me. I just watched her as she tugged the waistband of her shorts down a little, revealing to me that she had nothing on underneath.
I felt my breathing quicken and she knew she won when I shot up from the couch and grabbed my keys. I went back to her and picked her up bridal style before making my way up to the rooftop. I opened the door and saw no one else up there in their areas. I smirked to myself and locked the main door with my key.
"You're all mine, Rosie."
"And you're all mine, daddy."
