THE UNKNOWN STALKER PART 8.....
the_seven_signs

Y/n POV-

I was utterly taken aback as I stared in disbelief at Seojun. "What on earth are you doing here?" I shouted, my voice filled with shock and fear.

Before I could utter another word, he swiftly approached me, forcefully yanking my hair towards him. I winced as he pulled my hair, aching with pain, while he gestured for me to be silent with a finger pressed against his lips.

"Listen, Kitty, let's make this simple and put an end to it, alright?" he began, his voice seething with anger. "You've always meddled in my affairs, despite my warnings not to interfere. And look what you've done to me! I got suspended from school, and that nerdy Kim had the audacity to strike me in the face. Can you believe it? It's all because of you! You've been supporting him all along. I never wanted to come after you, but you've made it worse, and now it's time for you to pay."

Finishing his tirade, he stood up and mercilessly kicked me in the stomach, not once but twice. I let out a piercing cry of pain as the blows landed on my lower abdomen.

Before I could even cry out for help, he seized me by the shoulders, forcefully slamming me against the wall of the boys' restroom. Hovering near my ear, he whispered, "Let the trouble begin."

With no warning, he struck me hard in the nose, causing excruciating pain. I struggled to regain my senses, but as soon as I focused on him, he tightened his grip around my neck, cutting off my air supply. I gasped for breath, my vision fading as white spots danced before my eyes.

Desperate to stop him, I attempted to reach out, but his strength was overwhelming. My cries for help were stifled as his hand covered my mouth, my tears streaming down, making his hand moist with my despair.

Unable to breathe any longer, the pressure on my neck intensified with every passing second. He finally released his grip on my mouth, and I gasped for air, relief washing over me momentarily. But it was far from over.

From his pocket, he withdrew something chilling—a blade. Fear consumed me as I realized the horror that awaited. The blade hovered dangerously close to my throat, mere inches away from ending my life in a swift, sorrowful stroke.

"No, please! Seojun, please spare me!" I pleaded, my voice filled with desperation.

Bringing the blade nearer to my neck, my pleas for mercy continued, but fell on deaf ears. The blade's chilling presence instilled a deep sense of dread within me, and I stood there, frozen in fear, praying fervently for forgiveness, my sins laid bare before me.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, he was struck by something, losing his balance and stepping back. The grip around my neck was released, allowing me to breathe once more. As I glanced up, a glimmer of hope flickered within me.

I turned my gaze toward the source of salvation, and there he was—my savior, Taehyung. With tears streaming down my face, I rushed to him, seeking refuge behind his sturdy shoulders. Clutching onto his t-shirt tightly, I refused to let go. But he shrugged off my hands and marched straight towards Seojun.

Before I could intervene, Taehyung unleashed a relentless assault on Seojun, raining blows upon him. Seojun, however, proved to be no pushover as he retaliated, kicking Taehyung and engaging in a fierce brawl. It was a clash of titans, a battlefield right before my eyes. Realizing the situation was spiraling out of control, I cried out for help, my voice echoing through the air.

After what felt like an eternity, a crowd gathered, finally putting an end to the chaos. The other boys managed to separate Seojun and Taehyung. Meanwhile, Mrs. Nim hurriedly approached the scene, her eyes filled with anger and disappointment.

"What on earth is happening here, y/n? I didn't expect this from you. Explain yourself," Mrs. Nim exclaimed, giving me a stern glare.

"Ma'am, I was almost kidnapped and killed by Seojun. He harbored personal grudges against me and wanted to take it out on me. Look at the bruises on my face, inflicted by him. I did nothing wrong, and Taehyung came to my rescue," I explained, my voice trembling with fear.

Mrs. Nim shifted her gaze towards Seojun, her anger intensifying. She shouted, "Listen here, Taehyung and y/n, return to your tent. I will handle this situation."

As Taehyung's grip on me loosened, he picked up the bag lying on the floor and firmly grasped my hand. Together, we walked out of the restroom, leaving the chaotic scene behind us.

Taehyung Pov-

As we arrived near our tent, I released my grip on y/n's hand. Filled with anger and teary-eyed, I couldn't contain my frustration. I paced back and forth, my hands running through my hair incessantly. The thought of what could have happened to her if I hadn't arrived in time consumed me.

"Arrgghhh!" I let out a frustrated cry.

Unable to bear it any longer, I approached y/n, gripping her shoulder tightly. I needed her to understand the gravity of the situation.

"Look at what you've done to yourself. Do you see where you've ended up?" I said, my voice laced with a mixture of concern and frustration. "Why don't you listen to me when I tell you to stay away from me? My problems have a way of finding you, like an unwanted magnet. I can't bear to go through the same pain again, y/n-ah. There are people out there who despise me, and if they see you getting close to me, they'll direct their hate towards you needlessly. Just imagine what that person could have done to you if I hadn't arrived in time. Please, stay away from me. I'm not meant for people or love."

My heart ached as I uttered those words, knowing that keeping her at a distance was for her own safety.

Y/n POV-

As I listened to Taehyung's words and witnessed tears welling up in his eyes, I couldn't bear to see him in such pain. I didn't want to leave him alone in his darkness. I was determined to share his burdens and help him become a better person.

"Taehyung, listen closely. I've said this countless times, and I'll keep saying it: I'm not here out of pity. I stand by your side because you remind me of a past I never want to return to. I can't bear to see you suffer, nor can I abandon you like this. No, I'm here with you, and I'll be there for you whenever you need me," I assured him, pouring my heart into every word.

I could see a glimmer of hope shining in his eyes. However, as he reached his hand towards my face, a sharp pain shot through me, reminding me of the bleeding nose I endured earlier. I winced, causing him to retract his hand immediately.

"Oh, I'm sorry, y/n. That looks painful. I can't help but wonder what you have to go through because of me," Taehyung expressed with remorse.

I reassured him, "I can and will endure anything for you. This is nothing. I'll go change since the dirt on my dress doesn't look pleasant."

He nodded in understanding, and I went to change into fresh clothes. When I returned, I noticed Taehyung fishing by a nearby lake. I didn't want to disturb his peaceful moment, so I rejoined my group, who kept asking if I was alright.

At night--

As dinner time approached, we gathered around the Woodstock fire, preparing the food. Almost everything was ready, and we sat down to eat. I noticed Taehyung sitting alone in a corner, away from the others. I wanted to show him that he wasn't alone, so I decided to join him.

"Hey, can I sit here?" I asked, hoping to ease the awkwardness.

"Uhm, you can," he replied, his tone slightly hesitant.

We were both hungry and engrossed in our meal, so conversation was sparse. Wanting to break the silence, I asked him, "Oh, um, Taehyung, how did you find me? How did you know where I was?"

He explained, "Well, I didn't know you had gone to the restroom. I thought you had left your bag on the rock and went for a walk, so I ran after you to return it. But you were already ahead of me. I followed your footprints on the sandy slope, but after a few minutes, they were replaced by much larger footprints. I sensed something was wrong, so I continued tracking the footprints and eventually discovered you being beaten up so badly."

"I see, okay," I replied, trying to process his explanation.

After finishing our meal, we played games together before retreating to our respective tents for sleep. It dawned on me that this would be the first time I would be sleeping in close proximity to a boy. Nervousness overcame me—it wasn't about being shy, but rather the unfamiliarity that made it feel strange.

taehyung Pov-

we entered the tent, the realization hit me: I was about to sleep next to a girl. It made me nervous, even though I didn't have any romantic feelings towards her. It just felt unfamiliar and slightly uneasy.

Inside the tent, I found y/n applying cream to her arms. She was wearing a white, straight long dress. I sat down beside her, and the atmosphere between us was undoubtedly awkward. Determined to break the ice, I spoke up.

"So, umm, which side do you want to sleep on?" I asked, hoping to alleviate the tension.

"I'll take the right side," she replied.

Since I was already on the left side, I laid down, closed my eyes, and tried to fall asleep. However, it wasn't easy for me. Insomnia plagued me, and it often took hours for me to drift off into slumber.

Y/n pov-

As I lay beside Taehyung, I noticed he was already asleep, his eyes closed. I tried various positions and turns, but sleep eluded me. When I shifted to face Taehyung's side, I found him staring deeply into my eyes. I was startled for a moment.

"Oh, so you couldn't sleep either? Do you want to go for a walk?" I suggested.

"Yeah, I can't sleep either. Maybe there's something wrong with this tent. Let's go," he agreed.

We stepped outside, and the chilly air prompted me to wear the jacket Taehyung had given me earlier. We strolled among the trees, surrounded by a serene silence, only interrupted by the rustling of leaves and the gentle breeze.

"Taehyung, am I your friend now?" I asked suddenly, out of nowhere.

He tilted his head, giving me a perplexed look. "Why this question all of a sudden?" he wondered.

Seeing him smile, revealing his boxy smile that I had never witnessed before, was a sight I wished to see more often. It was truly beautiful.

"Oh, I asked out of curiosity. Hey, Taehyung, look over there! There's a lake with a boat. Can we ride it, please?" I pleaded, grabbing his jacket and gazing at him with my doe eyes.

"Oh, okay. Sure, let's go," he agreed.

We settled into the boat, and Taehyung skillfully steered it through the water. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet. I asked him to play some music, and he chose a wonderful song. We both cherished the moment, fully immersed in the tranquility.

After some time, we returned to our tent and slept peacefully, finally finding solace in slumber.

next day-

Taehyung's POV-

As I woke up and couldn't find y/n next to me, panic set in momentarily. But when I stepped outside the tent, there she was, busy preparing breakfast. A sigh of relief escaped my lips as I freshened up and changed my clothes. Joining her for breakfast, I couldn't help but chuckle at her adorable childlike eating habits.

The rest of the day was filled with more activities, and before we knew it, the trip had come to an end. We all gathered in front of the bus, and I made my way inside, opting for a window seat. Sitting alone, I watched as everyone settled in for the journey back.

Y/n pov-

As I entered the bus, I made sure to sit next to Taehyung, avoiding Jisyoung's attempts to trap me. He was listening to music and engrossed in a horror comic. My eyes couldn't help but notice the bruises on his face, which seemed worse than before. I mustered the courage to ask him about it.

"Hey, Taehyung, what's with the bruises? They look more severe than when I last saw you. Did something happen after you helped me?"

His expression changed, and he seemed tense as he responded, "Oh, umm, the bruises. Yeah, I got into a fight with some guys in my building. It happened after I dropped you off. Don't worry, it's nothing."

His words didn't quite match his expression, and it felt like he was hiding something. I couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to the story.

After the bus trip, I safely arrived back home. Exhausted, I collapsed onto my bed. However, my peace was short-lived as my mom barged into my room, bombarding me with questions about the camp. It took an hour before she finally left me alone.

I picked up my phone and checked my social media, and to my surprise, I saw that Taehyung had accepted my friend request that I sent him weeks ago. I felt a sense of joy knowing that we were becoming friends and that he was opening up.

The next two days were a holiday due to a cultural festival.

Meanwhile in those 2 days-

Taehyung's POV-

I sat there in the dimly lit room, paralyzed with fear. The man standing in front of me, his voice dripping with menace, gave me an ultimatum. He told me I had to kill someone, someone who was hanging on the wall, crucified. My mind raced, unable to comprehend the gravity of the situation.

"No, I can't... I'm sorry," I stammered, desperately searching for a way out.

"You have to, or else your father will do something far worse. Kill him, or I will die by your father's hand. It's your choice," he coldly declared, leaving me alone in the room with the lifeless figure.

I was overwhelmed with fear and despair. How could I take a life? But the thought of the consequences pushed me to the edge. The weight of my father's influence loomed over me.

With trembling hands, I picked up the gun and aimed it at the man's heart. My heart raced, my palms moistened with sweat. I closed my eyes and pulled the trigger.

BOOM

The deafening sound echoed in the room as the life drained from the man's body. His eyes closed, and tears streamed down my face. I couldn't believe what I had just done. I had become a monster, a criminal.

I fled from that place, the guilt and horror gripping my soul. The realization that I had taken a life, all because of my father's commands, shattered me. I was no longer the same person. I had crossed a line that could never be uncrossed. Eomma, I'm sorry. I'm truly sorry.
