Chapter 5• 'Who are you Really?'
Third Person POV: (Alya and Mari's Place)
It was around 8pm when Adrien had pulled up into the girls' driveway. Alya could see his headlights from the kitchen window.
"He's here, Marinette!" Alya called out.
"Okay! Just give me a second!" Marinette replied back.
Alya rolled her eyes and let out a soft chuckle. Then there was a knock at the front door.
Alya opened it to let Adrien in.
"Hm.. special plans tonight, Agreste?" Alya teased him with a smirk.
"There might be.." He responded with a chuckle.
"Goin anywhere fancy?" She questioned him curiously.
"Nope. Just planning on going back to my place and you know... hanging out." He replied sheepishly with a smile.
"Mhm... hanging out. I feel bad for Nino." She teased starting to laugh.
Marinette stumbled down the hall trying to hurry.
"Sorry, sorry.. I was trying to find my phone, but it was in my back pocket.." She said with an embarrassed expression.
"Adrien, guess who we ran into at this new boutique this morning.." Alya scoffed.
"Who?" He replied, grabbing Marinette's coat for her.
"Lila fucking Rossi.." She answered, letting out a deep sigh.
Adrien paused and burst out laughing.
"Really? Wow. I'm guessing she hasn't changed much, huh?" He continued, putting Mari's coat on her.
"Nope. Still rude as hell and petty as ever." Marinette answered for Alya.
"Well anyway.. that's a different story for next time. Why don't you guys head out. I'll just be here.. wondering why my boyfriend hasn't offered to come over for the night." Alya scoffed jokingly.
"I'll let him know about that.." Adrien chuckled opening the front door for Mari.
"Have fun kids." Alya smiled before closing the door behind them.
Before Marinette could make her way to his car, Adrien turned to face her and placed his hand on the closed door. She giggled and looked up at him.
"Yes Adrien?" Marinette smirked.
"So, I was thinking..." He started.
"How about we head to my house, hop in my shower, have some fun, change you into something more comfortable, and watch a movie in my bedroom with the great view of Paris at night."
Marinette was at a loss of words at that point. She smiled at him and pulled his lips to hers.
She kissed him gently. His soft lips pressed up against hers.
They let go and stared into each other's eyes. Adrien smirked at her before swooping her up and carrying her towards the car.
Marinette squealed and wrapped her arms over his shoulders for a better grip.
"You are so extra Adrien Agreste, I could've walked myself." Marinette teased, looking at him with a grin.
"This way was more fun though, tell me I'm wrong?" He chuckled, opening the passenger seat door.
The couple hopped inside of the car and started their way to Adrien's penthouse apartment.
(Adrien and Nino's Penthouse Apartment)
Adrien's penthouse apartment sat between the Luxembourg Gardens and the Jardin des Plantes. The building was completed renovated back in 2015, so everything inside offered high standard services.
Adrien and Marinette were in the elevator on their way to the top floor. Once the elevator doors opened, Adrien's front door was the first thing that they came into contact with. He held it open for Marinette to enter first.
Marinette's jaw dropped and her eyes widened. The apartment was so grand and beautiful. She walked down the entrance hall and made her way into a large living room installed under a glass dome.
"Adrien... your apartment is beyond words.." Marinette mumbled in astonishment.
"Thank you. I know it's a bit much, but I fell in love with the location, the view, and floor plan." Adrien responded taking off his jacket.
"The furniture and interior decoration is so beautiful.." Mari continued as she walked around looking at everything.
"Come look at the view. You can see The Sorbonne from here to the left." Adrien mentioned, staring out through the large windows.
Marinette admired the grand view of Paris. The lights were twinkling and the sound was quiet. It was peaceful up in the penthouse.
"Let's head to my room. I wanted to talk to you about something." Adrien followed, making his way to the master bedroom.
Marinette felt her heart sink from her chest down into her stomach. She started to get nervous.
"Was he actually going to ask me if I'm Ladybug? Is he really Chat Noir..?" She thought to herself.
She slowly followed behind him on her way to the master bedroom.
(Adrien's bedroom)
Marinette walked into the large bedroom and found Adrien in the middle of the room waiting for her.
She noticed that he had a certain type of look on his face. He seemed like he wanted to ask her something important.
She walked towards Adrien and looked up to make eye contact with him.
"Did you want to ask me something, Adrien?" Marinette whispered, fidgeting with her hands.
Adrien smiled gently and cupped her face in his hands.
"Marinette.. I know that you have a secret." He mumbled under his breath.
Marinette's heart started racing. She could feel her shoulders begin to tense up.
"I have a secret as well... that nobody knows." He continued, resting his head against her forehead.
Marinette felt chills run down her arms and spine. She wondered if he was about to reveal his identity to her right then and there.
"Ma- May I ask what you mean...? Whe- When you say you know that I have a secret..?" She stammered, her palms beginning to sweat.
He chuckled under his breath and looked into her eyes.
"Marinette..."
"Yes, Adrien?" She asked sheepishly.
"Are you Ladybug?"
Marinette's mouth opened slightly. She hesitated to answer him.
Her palms were sweating, her heart was running laps, and her finger tips were trembling. She didn't know how to answer.
"I- Wh-" she started.
"Adrien I..."
He showed a warm smile and lifted her chin to see him.
"Well, do you have an answer M'lady?" He asked with a soft smirk.
Marinette's eyes widened. Her body felt a wave of shock. So many thoughts were running through her head.
"M- M'lady?" She mumbled.
Her eyes slightly watered.
"So you were him..."
"This whole time. It was you.." She whispered.
"So I was right?" He replied pulling her in by her waist.
"I could've recognized that necklace anywhere, M'lady. You should've hidden it better..." he teased with a soft grin.
"kitty..." she whispered, gravitating towards his lips.
Adrien hesitated before kissing her. He took a step back and looked at Marinette with a smirk.
"Can you do me a quick favor? 'Bugaboo'?" He taunted.
She scoffed and jokingly rolled her eyes.
"What kind of favor?" She answered.
"Transform for me. Just once... I've never seen it first hand before.." He teased, sitting down on the king bed behind him.
"You are ridiculous, kitten." She mumbled, opening her purse.
Tikki peaked her head out, wondering where she was.
"Marinette? Where are we?" She yawned.
She turned her head and saw Adrien staring at them from his bed.
"Adrien!?" Tikki yelped, flying out of the purse and towards him.
"Marinette! Did you tell him that you were Ladybug! Why are you letting him see me!" Tikki continued, with a cute confused expression.
"Yes Tikki.. except I didn't tell him. He kind of just... figured it out." She admitted.
Tikki looked at her with wide eyes and an opened mouth.
"It was an accident! Honestly!" Mari yelped, trying to be convincing.
"Mhm." Tikki huffed.
"That's besides the point, Tikki. I'll explain later. For now, I just need you to transform me.." She continued with a pleading smile.
Tikki looked at her blankly. She didn't have the energy to ask why.
"You know what to do, Marinette.." She followed.
Marinette showed a soft smile.
"Tikki, transform me.." She whispered, making sure she wasn't being too loud...
(I know it's fucking 'spots on' but I'm not saying sPoTs On for this scene. It doesn't sit right... 😭 anyways...)
A bright red light ran down Marinette's entire body. Soon enough, she was fully transformed in front of Adrien. She smiled at him seductively.
His eyes widened. He admired every inch and every curve. That skin tight suit was something else on her.
He stood up off of the bed and made his way towards her.
"You can pull off basically anything, M'lady..." He whispered in her ear before picking her up in his arms.
He carried her over to the piano and sat her down on the top.
She bit her lip and pulled him closer to her face. She could feel his breathing on her lips.
"What are you waiting for, Kitty-Cat?" She mumbled under her breath.
"My Lady's permission.." He answered softly, pressing his lips against hers.
The kiss became more aggressive. Adrien's hands began to explore her body.
Marinette's breathing intensified.
Without a warning, Adrien's door flew open. A tall figure stood in the doorway.
"Hey Adrien, I'm heading to the sto- LADYBUG?" Nino screamed in complete shock.
Adrien and Marinette froze and stared at Nino from the piano.
"WHAT'S GOING ON? WHERE THE HELL IS MARINETTE? I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING OVER THERE TONIGHT! Nino continued, starting to angry.
"NINO! I PROMISE! IT'S NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!" Adrien pleaded, trying to seem convincing.
"NO DUDE! WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IS YOU'RE CHEATING ON MARI WITH LADYBUG!" Nino responded balling up his fist.
Marinette was frozen on the piano. She didn't know what to do. There's no way she could detransform in front of Nino. She was going to have to try and play the long game.
"Nino. I promise! Let's just step outside and talk about this! It's really not what it seems.." Adrien started, walking towards Nino.
Before Adrien could say another word, Nino swung at him with a heavy right hook.
"ADRIEN!" Marinette called out.

Sorry for being so late with the releases today. I'm going to continue writing the 3rd chapter.
