Rosie's POV
Well today is Valentine's Day and y/n is coming over again and she's taking me out somewhere. She came over a few days ago for my actual birthday and we just spent the whole day at home, doing nothing together. It was really nice. My mom also had to go out for a few hours, so I also got some great birthday sex in.
She said that she's coming over at 6pm and it's 5pm right now. She told me to wear whatever dress color I would like since she's going with the full black suit today. It's by far my favorite look on her, so I was excited with the information.
I walked over to my closet and looked through all my options and decided on a simple white dress with a deep v in the back. I smiled and went into the bathroom to do my makeup and change into it. I also decided to curl my hair softly since it looks really good that way. All of that took around 40 minutes and I grabbed a pair of white heels and made my way downstairs to wait.
"You look lovely, Chaeyoung." I heard my mom say as I walked down the stairs. I smiled shyly over to her,
"Thanks mom, I hope y/n likes the dress too."
"Honey, she would like you in a garbage bag. She's going to love it because you're wearing it." She said laughing a little, "Also, tonight I'm going out with some work friends so I won't be back until around midnight."
"Okay, thanks for telling me so I don't freak out and think you died." I joked. She then grabbed her purse and went to go out the front door. I just sat on the couch waiting for y/n to arrive. I thought I heard some talking going on outside, but I didn't hear anything else, so I think my mind was playing tricks on me.
"Hi." I whipped my head around to see my girlfriend with a goofy smile holding a bouquet of deep red roses.
"Y/n..." I said softly as I got up and walked over to her. I stood in front of her and she gently handed me the flowers. I took in a deep breath to smell them and they smelled wonderful. I looked back up at y/n to see that loving gaze looking back at me. I bit my lip to stop my smile from getting too big, y/n laughing as it wasn't working.
"You look ethereal tonight Roseanne. You look cool in white, hopefully I'll see it again under different circumstances." Y/n said with a wink. I blushed as I knew she was talking about marriage.
"I hope so too. Let me put these in a vase and we can get going." I said walking into the kitchen and finding a clear vase to put the flowers in. I turned back to just see y/n leaning on the wall looking me up and down with a smile.
"If you keep looking at me like that, I might melt." I said rolling my eyes.
"We don't want that, do we?" She said as she then closed her fucking eyes. I just stood there at my girlfriend's action as she blindly started walking towards me. I moved to the side quietly and she walked right past me. I covered my mouth to not make any sound, but my heel moved ever so slightly, causing her to turn her head in my direction.
"Marco!" She shouted.
"Polo!" I shouted back, going along with it. Her smile got wide as she walked over to where I was and wrapped me up in a hug. I wrapped my arms around her neck and held her close. Her hands cheekily made their way down to my ass and gave it a squeeze, causing me to pull back and hit her in the chest.
"Keep your hands to yourself, y/l/n." I halfheartedly warned her. She raised an eyebrow,
"So if I keep my hands to myself, you will too?" She challenged. I froze as I knew that wouldn't happen. I sighed out in defeat,
"You know I wanna touch you."
"That's what I thought, love," she gently reached for my hand and intertwined our fingers, "let's get going to dinner."
I followed her lead out to her car and she opened the door for me. I thanked her and got in and watched her walk around to the driver's side. The car was still on thankfully, so it was nice and warm. She got in and I connected my phone to play some music. We jammed out as she drove off to wherever we were going.
"So are you going to tell me where we're going?" I asked as I looked out the window.
"Nah, I wanna keep it a surprise for as long as I can."
"Rude." I heard her laugh at my response and I smiled to myself. I love her laugh, it always makes me smile and it's one of my favorite sounds.
After about 30 minutes, we pulled into a restaurant called Nino's. I furrowed my eyebrows as I've never heard of it before. When she found a parking spot, she then looked over at me with a smile.
"It's this Italian restaurant that some famous chefs own. They wanted a smaller and quieter place instead of in the big cities, so this sprung up a few weeks ago. I have no clue how the food is or how much it is, so hopefully it'll be good. But I mean it's owned by famous people, so it should be good. Uh, if not, we can just go somewhere else and not have the night ruined. But I did make a reservation, so–"
"Y/n," I told her as I placed my hand over hers to stop her from rambling on, "it's completely fine. I'm excited to try this place. Let's go." I kiss her lips lightly to not get lipstick on it and we both got out of the car. I could tell as I walked over to her that her nerves were slowly going away. She intertwined our fingers and we walked inside.
The place was beautiful. The decor was elegant and it had touches of Italy. I just looked around in awe of it. The host sat us down at a table near the kitchen which I loved since I could already smell the food being cooked. We thanked her and opened the menus. I heard y/n suck in a breath as the cheapest thing was $19. I looked over top of the menu,
"We can leave if you don't want to pay this much." I told her. She shook her head,
"No it's fine, I saved up all the birthday money I got from my family. Order whatever you want. We can even get dessert." She said looking into my eyes with a smile. I browsed the menu and decided on just an iced tea and the alfredo. Y/n just got a lemonade and the stuffed shells which are big pasta shells stuffed with cheese, sauces, etc. We told our orders to the waiter and they took it back to the kitchen.
"Did I say how breathtakingly beautiful you look tonight already?" Y/n said looked at me. I felt a blush rise on my cheeks at the compliment,
"Yes you did."
"Well I think I should keep reminding you throughout the night."
"Please don't, I'm going to be as red as a tomato come the end of the dinner." I sat setting my face in my hands briefly. I heard her laugh at me and we just talked about other random things in our lives. The food came out not too long afterwards and we started to eat.
"Wow, this is amazing." Y/n moaned out in happiness. I smirked softly over at the sound and took a forkful of my food and did the same,
"Holy shit, you're right."
"I know, a once in a blue moon moment." She joked. I giggled and we continued to eat and compliment the food every time we had a bite. Both our plates were empty and the waiter came around and asked if we wanted dessert. Y/n asked for the dessert menu to look at the options and they nodded and went to go get it. Once we got it, we both decided on the chocolate lava cake because those are always so good. It came a few minutes later and it was also served with a little thing of vanilla ice cream.
"You take the first bite, love." Y/n said looked at me. I took my spoon and dug into the cake, watching as the 'lava' flowed out of it. I took it to my mouth and ate it. I felt tears spring to my eyes at the incredible taste,
"Oh my god," I whispered quietly as I took another bite. Y/n also got a bite and I watched as her eyes went wide at the taste. We both devoured the cake and ice cream and got the check. Y/n opened it up to see it was almost $80 just for the two of us. I was about to argue with her because I wanted to pay for my own meal, but she wouldn't let me. I slumped back in my chair and saw the waiter take the money and tip.
"You ready to go Rosie?"
"I guess," I sighed out dramatically. Y/n rolled her eyes at me and I just sat up from my chair and waited for y/n to come over to me so I could hold her hand as we left. I soon felt the comforting warmth of her hand wrap around mine as we walked out of the restaurant. The two of us got in the car and drove back to my house.
She pulled into the driveway and got out to open my door and help me out. I took her hand and we made our way inside and up to my room. I told her I was going to get her Valentine's gift out and then she told me she would be right back because the gifts she got me are in the car.
I heard her coming back up the stairs and she walked through my bedroom door with a few bags and boxes. I furrowed my eyebrows,
"Babe, why do you have so much?"
"Well these are your birthday and Valentine's Day gifts since we decided to wait." She explained as she set them down on my desk.
"I know but it feels like I got you like nothing now," I said sadly as I looked down at the small gift in my hand. I felt her hands go on top of mine,
"Love, you didn't even need to get me a gift honestly. But just because I have brought more gifts than you doesn't mean anything, okay?" She said as I met her eyes. I nodded my head and she gave me a sweet kiss on the lips before she asked to open her gift first so I could open all mine last. I agreed and handed her the little box. A bright smile spread across her lips as she held it delicately in her hands, eyes sparkling in anticipation.
She slowly opened the little black box and her eyes softened at the sight. She looked up and I was met with tears forming in her eyes. She gently took out the sliver necklace that had a small rose on it. She just stared down at it in her hands for a while. When she looked back up at me, she asked if I could help her put it on.
"Yeah of course, turn around babe." I told her as I shifted on the bed over to her. She brushed her hair out of the way and I took the necklace and put it around her neck and clasped it together. She turned back around and gave me a long kiss.
"Thank you, love. It's beautiful and I love it."
"I'm glad you love it. I got it in silver just for you." I stated, smiling widely at her.
"I appreciate that," she turned behind her and grab a gift bag, "open this one first." I looked down at it and started to open it. I saw a sunglasses box and I opened it up to reveal some black heart sunglasses. I picked them up and wore them, striking a pose. Y/n laughed,
"They look great on you! I know you love your sunglasses, and I saw these and for some reason, they remind me of you."
"Thank you, they're great." I moved onto the next thing she handed me, which was a box. I saw a company logo on it but I didn't recognize it from anywhere. I opened it curiously and was met with something wrapped in bubble wrap. I popped a few just for fun and took whatever this was out of it. As I lifted it up, it became clear on what she got me. It was a LED rose that you would plug in. It was about 12x12 inches and I automatically thought of a great place to hang it.
"Well, plug it in!" Y/n urged me. I smiled at her and went over to an outlet and plugged it in and turned it on. The rose shined a beautiful baby pink color; my favorite color right next to blue.
"Woah, this is so pretty y/n..."
"It took forever to get the right shade of pink, but they were finally able to get it right."
"It's gorgeous y/n, thank you. I'm going to put it right above my bed later."
"It would look great there." She said agreeing with my statement. I just placed it on my desk for the time being and got back onto the bed where there was one more gift waiting for me, "So this is your Valentine's Day gift, the other ones were your birthday gifts," y/n said as she pushed it closer to me.
The gift she pushed towards me was a small box that her necklace was in; so my guess was it was some sort of jewelry. I bit my lip in excitement as I opened the box slowly. I felt my jaw go slack and I just stared at it in awe.
Sitting neatly in the box were the Link Earrings in 18k Rose Gold from the Tiffany HardWare line in Tiffany & Co.
"What..." I still wasn't processing my gift in front of me since I knew it was $3,000 fucking dollars. I love all the Tiffany & Co pieces, and this was one of the top ones on my list.
"Um, so I'm sure you're wondering how I got them," I nodded as she continued, "well Krystle, my aunt, actually works there as a designer. She was actually decked out in full Tiffany & Co jewelry when she came, I don't know if you noticed. So I asked her about these and she told me she would just want them for $100, which I paid her. She was happy to help with the gift. I hope you like them."
"Y/n, of course I like them. Hell, I love them. I cant believe she works for Tiffany & Co, that's insane. I did notice all her jewelry, but I thought she was just a fan of them. Thank you so much, I love you."
"Put them on," she said while taking my hand and dragging me over to my mirror. I laughed at how she seemed more excited than me. I took them out of the box and took off my existing earrings and put on my new ones. I just sat there staring at my reflection and how the earrings looked on me. I watched as y/n came up from behind me and rested her chin on my shoulder,
"You look hot." She stated bluntly. I laughed at her words, but still felt a blush creeping up on my face. She kissed my cheek and sat up looking at the earrings intently. I pushed her away and she giggled and wrapped her arms around my waist and connected our lips. My hands went to the sides of her face, holding her close. I knew I wanted more,
"Make love to me y/n."
And we showed each other just how much we loved one another.
