Hunter huffed as he sat down in the chair across from the counselor. There was something about her that felt very familiar. Hunter had been sent back to school as soon as Allison decided that her and her father could handle any 'hunting' problems that came their way.

"Mr. Argent." Monroe said, "I don't believe that I have had the pleasure of speaking with you yet."

"Family emergency." Hunter states simply.

"You seem to have a lot of those, don't you?" Monroe asks. She placed her hand firmly on his file before she looked back up to face Hunter. She had heard many things about him.

"I don't have time for this." Hunter states annoyed.

"This is a requirement, Mr. Argent. You have to make time for this." Monroe said simply.

"I'm not really good at time management. What I'm good at is knowing whether or not some person is hiding something, and you, you have something off about you." Hunter said.

"There is nothing off about me, Mr. Argent." Monroe laughs.

"Really? Could've fooled me." Hunter scoffs.

"Mr. Argent we need to focus on your grades." Monroe sighs, "You aren't doing well."

"I have all B's." Hunter says confused.

"Not all of us are fooled by your little charade." Monroe says and Hunter turned stiff. "I know that Anna's been helping you. The teachers would expect that in freshman year, but not senior year. That is just unacceptable."

"I wasn't asking for your opinion." Hunter retorts.

"It is my job to tell you my opinion to help you get through high school." Monroe states.

"I don't care about your opinion or anyone else's. I know what I'm doing, that's all that matters." Hunter snaps.

"You seem a little stressed, maybe we should work on taking you out of some harder classes." Monroe offers and Hunter glares at her.

"I'm not stressed. I'm annoyed." Hunter scoffs.

"Annoyed of what?" Monroe asks.

"You." Hunter states bluntly.

Monroe blinked innocently.

"I don't care if I am annoying to you, Mr. Argent. This is my job." Monroe states.

"No, this is Morrell's job." Hunter snaps.

"There is more than one counselor here, Mr. Argent." Monroe sighs disappointed.

Hunter still didn't trust her. He can spot a hunter anywhere and she is one. Hunter was scared that she knew something about him, but he wasn't going to show it.

"Cut the bullshit." Hunter retorts, "I may not know who you are, but I know what you are."

"I have no idea what you're talking about." Monroe states.

Hunter glares at her, crossing his arms across his chest. "You can't trick me. I know exactly what you're capable of and I know what you have in your left desk drawer."

"What do I have in my left desk drawer?" Monroe retorts as she placed her elbows on the desk. She was not amused with Hunter and how he was trying to steer away from the topic of his schoolwork.

"A gun." Hunter answers.

"Let's see then." Monroe said. She opened her left desk drawer to reveal a journal and Hunter's face fell. "You were wrong. It's in my right." Monroe placed her hands on her desk. "You're a little too late, don't you think? Maybe if you came earlier then I wouldn't already know what's going on with your friends' lives. Especially little Deaton. It took one little counseling session and they all just told me everything. I'm impressed, you lasted longer then I thought you would, especially out in this world."

"You're a friend of Gerard's." Hunter realizes.

"You don't miss anything, do you?" Monroe sighs, "Must have gotten that from your father."

Hunter jumped out of his seat before he glared at her, his fists clenched. "Don't you dare talk about my father."

"Why not?" Monroe asks innocently, "He's just Mr. Argent right?"

Hunter got out of his chair starting to walk out of the room.

"We're not done with your session, Mr. Argent." Monroe tsks.

Hunter flipped her off as he opened the door and walked out into the hallway. He ignored the worried look that he had received from the puppy pack as he exited the school. He took out his phone before he called the person he knew he could count on.

'Hey, Hunter. What's up?' Kaelin asks.

"I need a ride." Hunter said.

Kaelin could tell that he was in a bad mood and she said yes immediately before she drove over.

Hunter had gotten into the car and Kaelin gazed at him worriedly. She lifted her eyebrows at him before she started the car and they drove off and got Hunter fast food. As soon as Hunter had gotten his food and Kaelin her milkshake she turned to him to demand what happened.

"Hunter, what happened in there?" Kaelin asks.

Hunter shook his head. "Just another bitchy counselor." Hunter shrugs.

"Hunter." Kaelin warns.

"She knew about me, Kaelin." Hunter said.

Kaelin looked at him shocked. "Like 'hunter' you or like 'you' you?"

"'Hunter' me." Hunter replies.

"Did she say the words?" Kaelin asks and Hunter looked at her confused. "Like, I know you're a hunter and I know you killed 5 innocent supernaturals."

Hunter shook his head as he took a sip from his soda. "I don't know how, Kaelin, but I just know. Ever since that last mission of ours, Dad and Alli have been keeping me out of the loop. I don't know anything anymore."

"Okay, Hunter, I'll find out for you." Kaelin says before she glanced down at her phone that had revealed a message from Liam. "I hope you're not too beat up to help me with Liam who believes that rats may be a start of a supernatural problem."

Hunter nods. "Oh, this. This I've got to see." Hunter laughs and Kaelin smiled softly.

Kaelin smiled before she started the car and she drove them to the tunnels where the group was.

˜"*°•.˜"*°• o •°*"˜.•°*"˜

Kaelin, Malia, and Hunter showed up unamused as they glanced at the crowded rats. Kaelin groaned in disgust as she stepped over the pile of rats and stood next to Anna who still looked at the rat in disgust as she had been for half an hour. Hunter held a crossbow close to his side and one of the electricity saber weapons that his adoptive father had in the armory. He had been happy to use a crossbow ever since it had became effective against the Ghost Riders.

"You've got two minutes." Malia said angrily. Malia glanced over to Kaelin. "Kaelin and I are going to France."

"Malia, I've told you before. I am not going to go flirt with French boys." Kaelin said annoyed.

"Well, I need my wing woman." Malia smiles, "Besides I've already gotten you a ticket."

Kaelin rolls her eyes before she pointed at the pile of rats and nuzzled her nose in disgust. "Why don't we just focus at the problem at hand ladies?" Hunter says as he tried his best not to vomit.

Malia rolled her eyes as she glared at the man and Kaelin sent her a look. "What do you think happened?" Liam asked.

"I think you got hooked up on alcohol." Hunter remarks.

"Full of wolfsbane." Anna adds.

"Anna." Liam gasps.

"What? This is gross." Anna defends.

"Rats freaked out, crawled all over each other, got their tails knotted up." Malia shrugs. She reached into the pile of rats causing for Hunter to turn around. He couldn't look at this. "Tore each other apart trying to break free."

"You read up on Rat King?" Mason asked as Malia inspected the creature.

"Out of all the references you chose Rat King?" Kaelin said disappointed.

"What's a Rat King?" Malia asks Kaelin curiously.

"You don't want to know." Kaelin assures her younger sister.

Malia shrugs before she sniffed the rat and held it out to the direction of the rest of the group. Hunter who had turned back around as soon as Anna had told him it was alright had thrown up. Mason walked over to him as he helped Hunter get through it. He patted him on the back.

"Get it all out, Hunter. Get it all out." Mason says.

Hunter coughed as he continued to throw up. Anna had rushed to his side, helping him out as Kaelin and Liam looked up at the rat in disgust.

"Oh! I'm good! Thank you!" Liam states, trying to get away from the rat.

Kaelin sent a worried look over at Mason, Hunter, and Anna. Hunter just groaned and coughed before he looked back up and sent her a thumbs up. Malia waved the rat in their direction and the three of them took huge steps back as they rushed to stand by the arch.

"Yeah, we're good here." Mason said.

"Go ahead and do your thing, beautiful." Hunter adds sending her a thumbs up while Anna only replied with a look of digust.

"Can you smell it? It's fear." Malia said annoyed.

"I don't do that type of thing. Usually I'd complain about it, but now, I'm really happy that I can't." Kaelin states.

Kaelin sent Liam a look before he sighed reluctantly and took the scent in. "Yeah, it's the same as the ones in the math classroom."

"Why were they rats in the classroom?" Malia asks.

"And more importantly, why did you smell them?" Kaelin adds.

"Uh, they ran in during second period." Liam informed Malia and Kaelin. Kaelin sent him a look. "Uh, about fifty of them."

"Your two minutes are up." Malia states before she turned around, walking out of the tunnels.

Kaelin sighed before she turned to Liam. "Why the hell did you smell the rats?"

"It's not like I have control over my werewolf senses." Liam defends.

"They're rats, Liam. Rats!" Kaelin exclaims.

"I know what they are. I spent half an hour looking at them waiting for you to get here!" Liam retorts.

"They're rats, Liam! You don't smell them!" Kaelin cried annoyed.

"Well, I didn't know that." Liam says.

Kaelin rolls her eyes. "I'm just going to say it. Smelling rats is not attractive."

"I already have a girlfriend." Liam states confused.

Kaelin pointed at Anna who looked disgusted as she glanced at the rats. "Look at her. She's disgusted."

"Where are you going?" Hunter shouted after Malia.

"Paris. This isn't my problem." Malia snaps annoyed.

"So you think this is a problem?" Liam asks pointing over to the pile of rats.

"Maybe." Malia admits, "Probably, but you've got it covered, and we have a plane to catch."

"I thought it was delayed?" Mason said confused.

"Rerouted." Malia snaps. "Kaelin, you coming?"

Kaelin rolled her eyes before she looked back at the group. "I have a few things that I need to do."

˜"*°•.˜"*°• o •°*"˜.•°*"˜

Kaelin had walked into the counselor's office. The counselor that Hunter had complained about, the one who he had said knew about him. The past him, the evil him. Kaelin had recognized her immediately. Morrell used to sit in that seat, but she was no longer there and Kaelin wondered where she was.

"Can I help you?" Monroe asks as she placed her pen down, closing the folder from the past counseling session that she had shared with a student.

"Are you Ms. Monroe?" Kaelin asks curiously.

Kaelin knew how Hunter felt about hunters. He hates them more than she does. Kaelin had to find out if he was right. She made a promise to protect him and she will fulfill it.

"And I assume you must be Ms. Hale." Monroe states. Monroe nodded over to the seat in front of the desk. "Why don't you take a seat?"

Kaelin huffed annoyed before she sat down in front of Monroe. "Do you know why I'm here?"

"You've dealt with a lot of loss. You need a grief counselor." Monroe shrugs.

"I don't need anything." Kaelin states.

"Then why are you here?" Monroe asks.

"I'm here because of my friend, Hunter." Kaelin said, "He felt uncomfortable. He doesn't want to have any more counseling sessions with you."

Monroe shook her head. "I'm the head counselor. That's not possible."

"No. Morrell's the head counselor and Hunter has already talked to his father. He'll be seeing her instead." Kaelin corrects. Kaelin furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at Monroe. She reminded Kaelin of Jennifer and she hated Jennifer.

"I don't think you understand. Morrell quit." Monroe shook her head.

"She would never quit. She loves this job. Her niece told me, so I'm pretty sure that she didn't quit." Kaelin says.

"Ms. Hale, it's nice to meet you and all, but you've graduated, and I don't see why you're here." Monroe states.

"I'm here because I know that you know something about Hunter that you shouldn't know about." Kaelin states.

"What?" Monroe asks confused.

"I've dealt with people like you." Kaelin says, "You won't get to him. You won't get to any of us."

"Who exactly do you think I am?" Monroe asks curiously.

"I think you're a hunter who knows too much." Kaelin states.

"You're paranoid, Ms. Hale. I can't be surprised by everything you've been through." Monroe said and Kaelin glared at her.

"I'm just here to tell you about Hunter not coming to your counseling sessions anymore." Kaelin said.

"No. You're here because you don't trust anyone." Monroe sighs.

"I trust people." Kaelin retorts.

"Not the right people." Monroe said.

"And who is the 'right' people?" Kaelin asks.

"I know more than you know, Kaelin." Monroe sighs.

"Of course you do. Hunters know everything. It's really annoying." Kaelin admits.

"Your trust issues will get you in trouble, Kaelin, so let's work on that." Monroe said.

"What?" Kaelin asks confused.

"I have a half an hour before my next counseling session." Monroe shrugs.

"I'm not here for a counseling session." Kaelin snaps.

"Then what are you still doing here?" Monroe asks.

"I'm leaving." Kaelin said as he pushed herself back up from the chair.

Kaelin had froze as she heard flames blossoming. There was something on fire, something here. Kaelin ran into the hallway and turned to see Parrish and Liam fighting against a Hellhound, Halwyn. Mason and Anna watched in shock as Liam was thrown into the lockers. Mason snapped forward, using his bat as he rushed towards Halwyn and tried to hit him. Mason failed miserably, the bat being caught with the man's right hand. Mason stepped back in fear causing for Kaelin to then run at the Hellhound. She had always been afraid of fire, but she wasn't going to let him hurt her friends. She punched him in the face before kicking him in the chest. The Hellhound growled in anger.

Liam had pushed himself back up from the ground to help Kaelin fight the Hellhound. Kaelin's eyes flickered to where Parrish was, passed out on the ground. Halwyn charged into Kaelin, his claws sinking into her stomach as he pushed her up against the locker. Kaelin groaned in pain as blood dripped out of the wound. Liam ran at him but was quickly swatted away. Halwyn had let go of Kaelin causing for her to drop onto the floor and clawed Liam across the stomach.

Liam fought back clawing at the Hellhound's stomach, but it was no use. Halwyn was stronger than him. Kaelin held one hand over her wound on her stomach before she limped back up from the ground. She snarled showing her fangs before she ran at him striking him in the face. Halwyn growled before he clawed at her leg. Liam was sat down on the ground as he tried to gain back control.

"The sun... the moon... the truth." Liam whispered to himself. Kaelin looked over at Liam worriedly before she looked back at where the Hellhound previously was. He was gone now and Kaelin was relieved as she moved over to sit against the lockers next to Anna who was the only one who had not been injured in the fight.

˜"*°•.˜"*°• o •°*"˜.•°*"˜

Mason had helped carry Liam to the Boy's locker room while Anna and Kaelin followed shortly behind. Mason gasped as he looked at both of their injuries. Kaelin's stomach wound had already started to heal, but her leg hadn't. He must have cut deeper with his hell fire.

"You're okay." Mason assures the two of them. "The two of you are going to be okay."

"It should be healing faster than this." Liam said, wincing in pain.

"It's Hellfire." Mason starts, "I mean, all things considered, you're doing great."

"Well, if it's any comfort, I still find you attractive." Hunter says from the doorway.

"Hunter!" Kaelin cried, "How did you know we were here?"

"You and Malia were supposed to meet up." Hunter shrugs before he placed his duffel bag onto the next bench. "I may have brought some bandages just in case."

"This is one of the times you being a pessimist is helpful." Kaelin smiles before she winced back in pain.

"What the hell did you guys go up against?" Hunter asks as he glanced at both of their wounds.

"A Hellhound." Anna supplies.

"You?" Hunter asks, tone full of disbelief over at Kaelin.

"He knocked Parrish out." Kaelin defends.

"Kaelin, you're afraid of fire." Hunter states and Mason realizes what they're talking about.

"I'm fine, Hunter. I promise." Kaelin assures him.

Hunter huffed before he handed Anna some bandages. He held his arm out to Kaelin who took it. He wrapped her arm around his shoulder before he glanced back at the group. "Adult conversation." Kaelin winced, but Hunter helped her walk and the two of them were on their way to their destination, Roscoe.

"We opened a door to another world." Lydia informs the group as they all sat in Roscoe. Everyone who was there was Allison, Hunter, Malia, Scott, Lydia, and Kaelin. Kaelin, Hunter, Allison, and Lydia were squeezed in the back. "And something came out with us. Now we need to find the Hellhound to stop it."

"I am not going anywhere near him." Kaelin cried nodding to her leg.

"See?" Scott said, "There's always a price to pay."

Kaelin looked in between Scott and Malia confused, realizing that there was some tension. "What the hell happened between you two?"

"Scott doesn't think that we can stop this." Malia informs Kaelin.

"Well... Maybe he's right." Kaelin points out.

"Kaelin!" Malia shouts offended.

"We opened a door to another world, Malia, it'll take more then talking to a psychotic Hellhound to close it." Kaelin defends.

"Well, I'm not thinking of talking to him." Hunter points out, "I'm thinking of punching him." Scott glared at him. "Repeatedly. For doing what he did to Kaelin and Liam... Even Mason."

"It's going to get worse, Hunter." Lydia sighs, "So much worse."

"What are you talking about?" Allison asks confused.

"I had a premonition." Lydia informs the group, "I was at the school with spider webs all over, every time I touched one, I heard a lot of things; guns, screams, fires..."

"What else did it say?" Kaelin asks curiously.

"It said that we let it out." Scott said.

"But we didn't." Allison states, "We couldn't have."

"We did when we opened the rift." Lydia explains, "Anything could've gotten out."

"Like the Hellhound." Kaelin concludes.

"We need to find a way to close this now." Hunter states. He had seen what the Hellhound did to Kaelin and Liam and he was scared to face what else came through the rift.

Kaelin and Hunter stayed behind in the car while the rest of the group went on the search for the Hellhound. Hunter didn't want her to have to face him again. She hated fire, she feared it ever since what happened to her family, but Hunter was confused. She seemed unbothered by it now.

"I am so pissed off." Malia ranted.

Kaelin was sitting on her bed and watched as Malia paced back and forth complaining about everything bad in her life right now. The group had found the Hellhound dead which gave Malia a reason to stay and Malia wanted to leave. Kaelin's leg was almost fully healed by now and her stomach was fully healed.

"I mean, of course it has to happy right when we're going to France." Malia continues, "One year. One peaceful year is all I asked for, but instead I get a psychotic Hellhound attacking my sister and Liam and he turns out to be killed by a hunter." Malia turns to face Kaelin. "Of course when we opened the rift to get Stiles and Allison back some monsters had to come out too. I just want to punch something."

"You done now?" Kaelin sighs. Malia looks at her sister confused but she nodded anyway. "Is the reason you're so pissed off that you can't leave to France is because you're catching feelings for someone with the name of Hunter?"

"Gross. No. Why would you ever think that?" Malia denies.

"Maybe because the two of you used to hang out a lot because you both are pessimistic and like to kick ass, but now you two don't hang out anymore." Kaelin points out.

"That has nothing to do with how I feel about him." Malia states.

"So you feel something?" Kaelin asks, "So there's something there?"

Malia shook her head. "No."

"Please, Malia. I need my 50 dollars." Kaelin pleads.

"You bet on me?" Malia gasps.

Kaelin's phone started ringing and Kaelin immediately smiled as she saw who the contact was. "Saved by the phone." Kaelin picked up her phone before she clicked 'answer call'.

"Hey, Stiles!" Kaelin smiles.

'I feel so bad. I left Scott a message and I totally forgot to call you. I thought you would get it too because the two of you are kind of inseparable now.' Stiles said franticly.

"Don't worry about it." Kaelin waves off. "How's DC?"

'Well....um.......' Stiles states, 'We already have a case.'

"Really?" Kaelin said surprised, "That's great." Stiles didn't answer, but he instead stayed silent, not knowing how to tell Kaelin that her cousin was being hunted by the FBI. "That's great right?"

'Yes, it's great, but I just hate wearing this suit.' Stiles complains.

"Oh, Stiles. It's me. I know you don't." Kaelin states, "Besides you wish Lydia could see you in a suit again, don't you?"

'No comment.' Stiles replies.

"That is a comment, Stiles." Kaelin comments confused.

'I love you, Kae, but I've got to go. Being an intern takes a lot of work.' Stiles sighs.

"Have fun." Kaelin told him, "I'm proud of you."

'I'm proud of you too.' Stiles smiles.

Stiles hung up and that was the last time that Kaelin talked to Stiles for a while. She chose to not tell him about what was happening in Beacon Hills, well, everyone agreed not to tell Stiles. Kaelin stopped calling Stiles because she knew that she would not be able to resist the temptation. There was one thing for certain...

She hated hellfire.
