Man, waiting for the apocalypse feels weird.
Especially when you do it from the top of a building.
Everyone else is just going about their day normally, blissfully unaware of what's about to happen.
It's kind of surreal, and the calm unnerves you.
You just wish the fighting would start already, and get it over with, whatever the outcome.
Your claws tighten around the concrete edge of the roof.
They won't win.
They can't.
Coloured lights flash and you look down.
The Battle of the Bands is starting.
The first few bands are terrible, mostly ten year olds playing clarinets badly.
But then Krel and Aja step onto the stage.
The boy starts playing a combination of dolphin and animal noises, that to be fair, sound pretty good.
The crowd hates it, however, and he changes it.
The music is just...
So amazing...
Krel begins to dance along, and glances up slightly, his eyes catching yours.
The beat speeds up and he grins goofily up at you.
You can't stop yourself from grinning right back.
When he finishes, he walks off the stage, eyes still linked with yours, and nearly falls down the stairs.
He's such an idiot...
You stifle a laugh into your arm and see him grin wider.
You barely notice as Claire's band steps onto the stage, but turn your head just in time to see her walk on, fully suited up.
It's nearly time.
Tensing up, you prepare.
The crowd isn't listening to her, what a surprise.
A loud woosh from behind startles you, nearly causing you to fall from your perch.
You turn, and see a large orange-red tornado spiraling up from the canal.
It's here.
Time to go kill some evil trolls and hopefully not yourselves.
You glance over to Krel to see if he's okay first, and are relieved when you see he is, then jump from the building and circle, searching for the enemy.
They're crawling out from the hole the spell caused.
There are so many of them...
You spot a terrified Steve running from one, and swoop down, slashing its head clean off with a single tail swipe.
Uhg, did you just save Steve?
"You're welcome.", you call as you take off.

The worst of all the trolls.
So you're celebrating.
And ARRRGH! is even back!
Without Merlin.
And he looks worried.
Oh no.
Oh.
No.
The plan failed.
Merlin... is defeated.
And now you have to fight Morgana yourselves.
This can only end well.
