MINSITRY OF MAGIC, LONDON
In all honesty, Athena was scared. She's been in a battle before, even part of an attack. However, this was different. Sure, they all had magic and had learnt a lot of defense and offense spells, but she couldn't help but still feel paranoid. She wasn't as paranoid as when the attack on New York had happened, but right now, she was nervous as fuck.
Many things could be on the line right now. Her death, her friends death, other people's death, their future's outcome, the whole Wizarding World's future, pretty much a lot of things. Though right now, she knew she had to be strong, and make sure nobody dies.
So as she and the others were entering the Department of Mysteries, she shivered. "I just got the bloody chills, holy fuck..." Athena murmured, taking in the appearance of the large place. It was dark, but with the help of lumos, she was able to see the large amount of prophecies neatly arranged on shelves. "And these are all prophecies?"
Hermione nodded, not losing her focus as they looked around the place cautiously. "Yes."
"And what Voldeshmort's looking for is in here?" Hermione nodded again, answering her question. Athena let out a shaky breath, gripping her wand tighter. "Alright, no big deal... It's not like there's a butt-fucking-load of prophecies in here. Confirmation, we are looking for Harry's correct?"
Hermione let out an annoyed 'tch', but nodded once again. "Yes, why are you asking questions? Not to mention you are swearing a lot as well."
"Sorry, I'm just nervous as fuck- fuck sorry- shit- um... I'll just shut up."
A loud thump was then heard, meaning the attention of the group. 'This is as scary as a bloody horror movie' Athena thought, her eyes trained on the source of sound then moving to her friends. They started walking, following as Harry continued to go through the number of shelves, counting. "Ninety-three... Ninety-four... Ninety-five..." He stopped, his wand's light reflecting on the floor as he looked over it. There was nothing there. "He should be here."
"Harry..." Neville said, looking onto one of the prophecies. "It's got your name on it."
Harry walked towards Neville, who was standing near the crystal ball. Athena watched the scene occur, her brows furrowing. So Harry has a vision of his dad being attacked, one that may or may not have been given by Voldemort purposely, the snake-alien says something about wanting something in the Depart of Mysteries - which is where Uncle Prongs was attacked- so we go there. We go to where Harry remembered Uncle Prongs was, but he's not there.
She looked over where Harry had pointed out where he should be, but there was absolutely nothing there, it didn't even look like a person had walked through there. Then Neville finds a prophecy with Harry's name on it, near the spot where Harry said Uncle James was supposed to be-
'The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches ...
born to those who have thrice defied him,
born as the seventh month dies...
and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal,
but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not...
and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives ..."
"This one's got Athena's name on it." Ginny then stated, the voice from Harry's prophecy fading.
"Que? it does?" Athena asked, moving over to where Ginny was. She was right. The prophecy was small; small enough to fit her pocket - hence why she had reached it with one had, careful for it not to slip from her fingers. Then a voice, one that had also come from Harry's prophecy, spoke.
"A heroine who helps both wars is begotten.
For she is born and raised to fight...
And help those who seek it.
Her special abilities born the moment her mother sacrifices herself.
Not only is she to help the sake of the wizarding world,
but all the worlds as well.
As the one with power beyond all, arrives after the other.
She is to help save all worlds,
for the sake of the universe."
"So I have to what-" Then she remembered the thought she had before Harry's prophecy spoke. "Harry. This is set up, they wanted you to see that vision, we have to leave-"
"Smart." A voice interrupted her. They all turned to the voice. A figure, covered in a black cloak and a silver mask on the face. "At least someone was able to figure out what was real and fake." The man took out his wand, revealing his face.
Oh surprise, surprise. Who would've guessed it was my dearest uncle - Lucius fucking Malfoy.
"Now hand me the prophecy." The long haired man demanded.
"You do anything to us, I'll break it." Harry stated defensively. A loud evil cackle was then heard.
"He knows how to play." Bellatrix Lestrange had shown herself, walking up behind Lucius. "Itty~ bitty~ baby... Potter."
"Bellatrix Lestrange." Neville breathed out.
"Neville Longbottom, is it? How's Mum and Dad?" The death eater taunted.
"Better now that they're about to be avenged." He pointed his wand at her, as if he was going to throw a spell, but Athena held his wrist, whispering.
"Not yet." Athena stopped him.
The two death eaters immediately put their wands up as well. "Now, everybody just calm down... all we want is that prophecy."
"And then what?" Athena spat out. "We give it to you, you hex us, then you leave us here and you run off to your boss-"
"My, my!" Bellatrix exclaimed, an enthusiastic look on her face. "You really are my niece. How'd you know we were going to do that?"
Athena smirked. "Easy. You two are his errand puppies, correct?"
"Why you traitorous, half-blood-"
"Why'd Voldemort need me to get this?" Harry interrupted him.
Harry's question then took the attention of the witch. "And you dare speak his name? You filthy half-blood!"
Lucius put an arm in front of her. "It's alright, he's just a little curious... the girl however..." The man trailed off. "Prophecies can only be retrieved by those about whom they are made. Which is lucky for you, really."
Athena and the others had started to take notice of the death eaters surrounding them. Taking her stance, she kept focus on the ones in front - Lucius and Bellatrix. She held her wand tightly, ready to throw spells at the enemy. But, as her blood continued to rise, her focus deepening, and her energy becoming more distinct, she could feel an unfamiliar yet familiar tingling sensation feeling up her hand through her arms. It was weird, but she also felt powerful. She didn't know if she was imagining it, as she couldn't look down at her hand and arms as she focused on her main problems right now.
The adult Malfoy walked closer to Harry. "...Don't you want to know the secret of your scar? All the answers are there, Potter. In your hand. All you have to do... is give it to me. I can show you everything."
Harry looked like he was thinking about it, then speaking. "I've been told different theories, but none of them were proven. I've waited fourteen years to know the truth... Guess I can wait a little longer. Now. Stupefy!"
The group casted the spell towards the different death eaters, then ran away. That's when the fight truly started.
